View Full Version : As a Denmark fan, I am glad Gravesen signed with Real Madrid

Because now in FIFA 2006 Gravesen will go from being rated an 85 to like a 96.

This is a round-about way of saying that I wish EA would quit showing blatant favoritism to certain leagues and especially certain teams. With the way Madrid played last year, there's no one on that team who deserves to be rated over a 90 this year. Zidane a 96? Beckham a 90? After Raul's season he should be rated about a 75. Hell, Woodgate was rated in the low 70's last year, and now that he's with Madrid he's an 87! Madrid isn't the only team where this is the case of course. Bergkamp is a 90? He's 35 years old! Kezman at 86? It's silly. EA just needs to do better research, and stop bumping players' abilities to fit their perception that Real Madrid should be rated 4.5 or 5 stars. I mean Chelsea isn't a great team because all of their players are superstars, it's thanks to good teamwork and management.

I agree with you but Gravesen isn't really that great of an example. He have sucked this far in Real Madrid.

In the UCL Chelseas defence has a 86 or something, but they should have like a 99. I think they're the nr.1 team in goales scored on in Premier League history. And the total ratings shouldn't be just the average overall ratings among the positions. They should really put some people on that to rate the teams. At least the most popular teams. Same thing with Real Madrid, They like the best team in the world but AS A TEAM they don't act like it. They can keep the high player-ratings but they shouldn't act like it ingame.

if Chelsea keep up their goal condeding rate, they'll beat Liverpool's record of 14 in a season.

i think... don't quote me on that.

he's doing great in Real Madrid. He's playing well, and more importantly giving us more options in the midfield, so Beckham can finally play RWM, and play like he used to in Manchester, instead of playing a more DM role.

Cashless, it doesn't matter how well Gravesen is doing. The point is, he could have gone to Real Madrid, broken his hip, and been out for the entire season, and he'd still get like a +5 point bonus in FIFA 2006 just because he's on Madrid, making the Danish team that much stronger. All of the "Galacticos" turned to sh!t last year, especially Raul, and yet they're all in the 90's. The best example is Woodgate, as I said before, who wasn't even good enough to be in Newcastle's starting 11 last year, but then he goes to Madrid and he's one of the best defenders in the game.

You have a good point though about team ratings. Since all they count are the player ratings when creating team ratings, they artifically bump up players to match the team rating. Yes, Arsenal is a 5 star team. But that doesn't mean Reyes is a 92, or that Bergkamp is a 90. It's because of great cohesion, teamwork, and a great manager. Maybe all those Madrid players deserve high scores, but they have no cohesion, revolving door coaching, and they're always hurt. So there needs to be some way of factoring those things in.

Haha very true.......i guess the people at EA just see which teams are in the news & give their players high attributes. They should do their homework properly & get the performance stats of each player before assigning their attributes :kader:

I agree Real Madrid is overated, don't get me wrong. But the players are underachiving. Put one of those stars in any other team and they'll play better in like 2-3 games. That's why i think they need to do some rework on the teamratings, and not just add up the overall percentage of the players.

Gravesen is a good type of player for Real Madrid, cause they still need someone to fill makelele's position. Im' just saying, I'm not that impressed by him up to this point.

Uh, in case you haven't noticed, we're in the FIFA 2006 discussion board. So we're talking about FIFA games. And in last year's FIFA, 2004, Woodgate was rated below the rest of the defenders on Newcastle, and was not in the starting 11. Now, he's rated 87 and starting for Madrid. My point is not about Woodgate, it's about EA's arbitrary rating system. Dimwit.
