Duncan Ferguson once again proved he is the best at Newcastle. Man i wish he`s come back to the national side.
Newcastle 5 - 0 Southampton
Dissordely Duncan with two goals within the 1st 4mins, not to shabby eh.

I was fortunate to attend the match yesterday, being an exiled Geordie. Duncan Ferguson is a superb player and he is not even fully fit yet, but the player who is making him and Newcastle tick at the moment is Nolberto Solano. The guy is genius. He has more assists now than anyone else in the Premiership. The problem is we will now miss him for three games as he has to play in South America's continental champions cup - or whatever it is calls it self.
Gooner, my dream attacking combination for Scotland, Big Duncan and Mark Burchil.
I watched Newcastle.Southanpton on tv, he had me thinking of Joe Jordan again.

He was feckin class on Sunday, the last few games he's been so much better than Shearer and he's even talking to the press again.
Although he's never likely to return to the Scotland set-up i think he'd be excellent along side {sick} Billy {sick} Dodds {sick},
Excuse me but i've suddenly got the urge to was my mouth out...back stabing little.....

I think for us to qualify for the 02 Cup we need all our young strikers. Burchill, Dodds, Ferguson, and McSwegan. If we had those four we could move Hutchison back to an attacking midfield role which he is used to playing. Looking at the current situation I only see us lacking in experienced defenders. We have a plethora of quality midfielders playing in Scotland and England, but the defensive situation is looking bad.

WaltonSw, you are spot on on your Solano assessment.
He's quietly having the most consistant season of anyone for Newcastle.

I can`t bring myself to hate Doddsie he`s one of my fav strikers in the game and the fact that he`s a ger now really sucks. Here`s my scotland side:
Sullivan
Boyd, Hendry, Dailly
McNamara, Lambert, Hutchison, Burley, B.Ferguson
Dodds, Johnson
With Jackie and Barry playing Wingbacks.
Now you can`t tell me this lineup isn`t good enough for Japan/Korea 2002

I don't think Barry would be good on the left wing. As far as I know he's never played there before. McCann is one of the best left wingers in the world if he is on form. I don't think I'd play Johnson. By allowing him to play that says we are not as good as England, whom have told him he will never play, and that our strikers aren't good enough. Why bring on a 1st division striker when we have 3 premier class forwards at our disposal and if Brown talked to Ferguson maybe 4. Was Johnson ever in Scotland before he went to watch a Rangers game when Brown invited him to join?

DD,
I know McCann is a better attacker than Ferguson but Barry is a fantastic defender an i think he`s suit a wingback role.
We are a small nation and we need to get as much help on the world stage as possible and i have been watching Johnson closeley since we got notifcation the this Ragae Boy was a scot and he is brilliant.

Very few players do. This does not include Dodds as he's never played for Celtic.
