Any comments? Chris and I are over the moon that POTD has been nominated - any other people want to comment? How about revealing how you'll vote on the 10th? Any predictions of winners?

How about revealing how you'll vote on the 10th? Any predictions of winners? Hunnter 03-06-2000, 03:08:PM well, on a personal note, i would have to toss my lot in with the guys over at Fifa/mania Italia...these boys have always been the driving force on the Fifa Scene in regard to stadiums.. etc, all the rest of it came along later when people realised that there could be major changes done to the Fifa Football series, but it was all the groundwork that these boys did that opened it all up for the rest of you to follow on the same path, the Itallian boys were the originators of all this, they were the front edge and still are the front edge in the Fifa add on scene..not the cosmetics, like spotty shirts or zig zag socks, but the main stadium structures that are the centrepiece Architecture in the game, these boys set the trends, they did the hard yards to get it all off the ground...and they deserve the handshakes for all there terrific work... Philippe 03-06-2000, 09:11:PM Hey Drinky!! Never heard about the site: FIfaEarth? WWW.FIFAEARTH.NET and fifaearth.fifagamer.com Why dont you havent a nomination section for the other language sites? Bubba 04-06-2000, 01:02:AM So, who decided who the nominees were? For best kits, my vote would have to go to the MLS kits in the MLS2000 patch. All the home and away kits were created in 128color for all the new jerseys in the MLS. The Galaxy one was hard to make because it needed a dark green that is not included in the FIFA2000 palette, but the kit maker for the kits pulled off the trick with the 128color technique. If you get a chance to check them out, you will see what I mean. Until next time, I'm off like a prom dress!! AK 04-06-2000, 09:58:PM I know this may sound stupid but, shouldn't FIFA2000 Central be in there? I know they are your rivals but u only seem to have affiliates there. Mediawhore 05-06-2000, 05:17:AM I've got a cable modem so I've downloaded a whooooole lot of stuff for this game and the nominees are all deserving. Best site - Fifa 2000 Online, hands down. Second would go to the unnominated Fifa 2000 Central. It's obvious from looking at sites from Italy and Germany that they both have a ton of good stuff. But they're in Italian and German and frankly, the best of the stuff generally shows up on Fifa 2000 Online eventually anyway. Best Patch - Sorry, Drinky but I've gotta go with the MLS 2000. I don't even play it anymore because frankly I have zippo interest in the MLS. But the jerseys, popups, turfs and stadiums were just immaculate. Second it POTD, which resides permanently within my copy of FIFA. Jerseys - A tie. Uhhh, am I nuts or did Simon Shepherd's 64 colour jerseys on Fifa Central not rule? If his colours had been a little closer these would've been perfect. The tie goes with Chris Davies' POTD EoAE patch. Though his jersey logos weren't up to Shepherd's unnominated efforts, his overall colour schemes, detailed badges and perfect accuracy more than make up for it. Misc Graphics - Ste Cooper for the Sky Sports Patch. There was an earlier, pirate version of a similar Sky Sports patch out a few months back that was even better but was apparently made with someone's poached product and removed from the site. Also, it made my machine lock up at the end of every game, so it had to go anyway. Sounds - Goes to Drinky's POTD chants, which ad an uncanny degree of character to the game. Rosters - Treebeard's, hands down. The first person I could find who got Canada's international roster right, although he got a weakened roster from earlier in the year when several key players were away http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif And he humanized several god-like players. Personality - That would be Chris Davies, for the multiple answer posts and the humility to apologize for making us wait a mere three days for a product he put months of his own time into. You rock, man. faplfm2000 05-06-2000, 07:59:AM Personally I think FIFA 2000 Online & FIFA Gamer are the 2 premier FIFA sites on the Internet because they are updated just about everyday. I think Mohamed El Tanany should win the jersey award and FEd2000 easily the best Utility. What about Management game awards??? I would like to see how my site http://faplfm2000.soccergaming.com would go http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif |
