Alright well I've seen a couple other threads that try to ask questions about certain issues with the game, so I decided to make a new one and bring up the only real concern I've encountered in this years Magnificent edition



My biggest concern and one that can get a little annoying at times is the fact that IMO the ball hits the crossbars and uprights WAY TOO MUCH.....Now, I know some of you purist and skilled players are saying "just learn to shoot" but believe me, I think this is an actual programing issue; somewhat of a parameter written into the code of the game. However I will admit to you that it makes for real dramatic and fun games just that I think in real life posts dont get hit nearly as much as in WE8:I


Ok...now that that is off my chest. What an incredible game I freaking love it. I would love it more if I could get my hands on a nice option file with updated kits for the Premiership and national teams for PS2....

crossbars, posts, yeah I agree. My record is with Bellamy,
hitting almost eight shots on posts alone in one game. After
that he was transferred to Celtics :p

But I guess it's there to make game exiting and without
screwing the 'balance'. It's not realistic, but I guess it's
supposed to be arcade game anyway.

It would be way cool if you could ajust/tune some aspects of
the game like you can with ea'$ NHL series...

I have only played about 4 matches and only hit the post once :)

I cant imagine there being an updated option file out YET, so you will have to be patience.

Wolf did say he would make his patch work with WE8:I.
