Reason: There is no outdoor professional soccer team in Edmonton. Also, 5 years ago I went over to my friends house who has a satelite dish and watched a Man Utd. game and they won. Also, when you are young whoever wins you cheer for, but ever since that day I've been with Manchester United win or lose...I like the English national team first off cause Canada never makes the World Cup and also England is the mother country of Canada so I feel at least a bit of a part of England.

Reason: Well I love Barca because obviously they have my fave player in Rivaldo. I love the team colors, kit, and I won't mention the Stadium. I like the team over all as a unit and I beleive they're the best on paper. Brazil has alot of skill as well as Rivaldo & young supreme RONALDINHO. Though toooooo much skill and individuals yet there style in passing, on the ball skills, and killer free kicks brings excitement to the game.

The reasión why Im a AIK fan is that my older brother were a AIK fan and he went to all the matches and sometimes I were lucky to go with him. The supporters of AIK called Black Army are known in sweden as a violent gruop of supporters but thats not true...
Unfortunately I live in the wrong end of town so I have to put out with a load of **** from lost souls. Sweden is pretty obviously, I live in sweden and therefor its my favourite team...

Reason:
I started to support Sunderland at the start of the season for two reasons: one Niall Quinn played for them and the other was I wanted to support a team who were an underdog. But they've done really well this season. I also support the Knights because they are underdogs as well.

Aussie are my home country and I support them always. Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell are my two favourite players for them. I support Ireland because that is where my ancestors come from and I love the image of the wild Irishman. For them I love Niall Quinn and Roy and Robbie Keane. And England the 3rd cause I know all the players so well. I hope Kevin Phillips gets a go at Euro 2000 for them.

Club: C.R. FLAMENGO - Why? Cuz it rules!!!

National Team: Brazil - Well I´m brazilian! I also like any team that never won a world cup! :-) I dislike Argentina! Not for its football, but for rivality!

Reason : Sorry if this is a bit long, but this is the truth and nothing but. I have family on my mother's side that lives in England, but that has nothing to do with it actually. I went to a school were we had no football, with the main sports being athletics, rugby and cricket. After leaving school I made friends , and they originated from England, and they got me into footie. Three Man utd supporters, one Liverpool supporter and one Ipswich supporter. At that stage I had no preference, usually supporting the underdogs whoever they were. I then dated a cousin of one of my friends who was an Arsenal supporter,and I found myself just favouring Arsenal more and more each time we watched. After we broke up
the Arsenal feeling didn't leave me, it just kept on growing and growing and it all started from there.
As for supporting Holland and England, Holland for their talent and skill ( aka as Overmars and Bergkamp *just kidding* ). England cause of the English premier league.

I like Barca cause, you knwo what, I dont give a damn what anyone thinks, Barca and Brazil are the two best teams. Romario played with Barca because he and they R THE BEST!! My uncle lived there for two years, and when I was six, growing up in Guyana, he brought me back a Barcelona jersey. I like Rivaldo cause he is the best (99 PLAYER OF THE YEAR). I live in Canada (Toronto) and it is very hard to follow the Primera Liga, but at least TSN shows Champions League matches. OLE .... OLE OLE OLE, OLE ... OLE .... BARCA!! I like Brazil cause I grew up in the country right above them, they were all they showed on TV. My favorite teams in other leagues change from season to season, I like it when underdog teams from nowhere challenge for the league like Kaiserslautern 2 years back, Betis Sevilla 3 years ago, or Leeds and Roma this year. I also like the underdogs in the international competitions, for ex. wanted Croatia and Mexico to do well in the WC.

Reason: I was born and raised for most of my live in the Netherlands, so that's why I support the Dutch national team, and the NZ is total ****. Ajax becuase they are the best team in the the netherlands, and they've won most prizes, and I am a fanatic of them, becuase I follow everything I possibly can about them, even though I live on the other side of the world.

I would list some of my favourite

My favorite club is Luch Vladivostok, now playing in the Russian 2nd division, East.
If you look on the map, you can see on the very far east of Russia a city Vladivostok, on the Sea of Japan.
This team played in Russian Premier League in the 1993 season. Right near Vladivostok, there is the city of Nakhodka (just 3 hours on a car). Their team, Okean also played in the Russian Premier League in 1992 and 1993 seasons. I still remember Spartak Moscow coming in the city, beating my favorite team 3:0. Nakhodka, however, tied with Spartak ON the road and at home 1:1 both. Spartak's roster contained 50% Russian Internationals that time. But from Moscow to Vladivostok it's 9 hours in the plane, and most players and teams surely didn't like that. Well, they both are in 2nd div. now and they will be my favorite teams for life.

In Russian Premier, I rute for Rotor Volgograd. I remember them tying Manchester United in Manchester in 1994, or 1995 and they went through by penalties in the UEFA Cup, I think.

In English Leagues, my favorite team is Wrexham AFC, Welsh club playing in English second division. City's population is just 50 thousand people, but they have pretty good team playing. Ian Rush played for them last year, which brought up a lot of sell outs. I played Premier Manager 99 of Actua Sports and randomly picked Wrexham. They are now my favorites.

There are some teams I do not really follow, but they are considered favorites. They are Dynamo Kyiv (only in Champions' League), Cagliari, Tottenham Hotsup, Celta Vigo and Hansa Rostock.

REASONS-I was about 5 years old when Celtic won the European Cup and even though I went to a Protestant school every kid there was a Celtic fan. As a lot of these kids grew up they reverted back to either Ayr Utd (local team) or, as they were from protestant families, Rangers. I stuck with Celtic and as far as the religion thing goes, it sucks. I'm an athiest.
