I'm not sure if anyone else posted this or not but this game will be online right? All of the other new street games and ea sports game are so I'm just assuming.... ?

this game will not be online for any console. the first NFL street was not online, the first and second NBA street games were not online...

I think they are going to first see how many people purchase the first game and what changes would need to be made and such to make online play a good experience.

I dont understand why make a game that IS NOT online nowadays...I think that percentage is lower than the truth.

75+ million PS2's sold. 15% in my opinion, is too much.

think about this for a second, if everyone who had FIFA 05 played online, you'd have a few hundred thousand people online at a time... even if it was only half, you'd still be in the hundreds of thousands. I dunno what kind of numbers FIFA makes a year internationally, I'd take a guess at about 2-5 million per entry.

This game is not online because it is the first in the series. They want to see how much of a demand there is for a game of this type, set aside a certain number of servers, etc etc.

If they shipped a certain amount of these games worldwide and it sold like crap, you know how much money they would have lost setting up the servers, the production prices, etc etc?

I think this first game is to get their feet wet. They put it out, check out how much support there is. Fix the things that need to be fixed prior to taking the game online, such and such and such.

Think of it like Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. It felt kind of plain, but it was fun. Then Mortal Kombat: Deception came along and blam, they took that game and grew on everything in a very good way. Plus it has online.

Well this is the first in the series, SSX was a great game but once Trickey and SSX3 came out they went all out, with graphics, tricks, online play, customizing etc.. With FIFA Street there just gonna make a fun game with a decent career type mode and again just make it fun then once FIFA Street 2 comes out they proably add a deeper create a player mode or even a creat a team mode, maybe a create a court mode like in NBA Street V3 by changing the logo in the center and changing logos on the walls, maybe nets, color of nets etc.. Even add online mode. I mean come on think about it, you want to release something for the consumers but at the same time not waste thousands or even millions of dollars creating it and have people be like "this game sucks" and instead of making a profite your losing it, its all about making what people want and making something from it.

fifa street is sure to be a fun game.....but nothing is for sure

Im just saying its always better to have it online. I dont feel like playing the computer all the time. I dont live in a dorm anymore, where am I gonna play real people? Im not 16 my high school buddies dont cmoe over after school. Just a thought
