Sorry if this info has been posted before, BBC Sports report that David would like to play for Man Utd once again after his contract ends with Real Madrid.

When and if he comes back to play for reds I wonder if he`ll be in a starting 11.

Ronaldo is doing a good job so far.

Not Chelsea mate. Manchester United.

He talks about how he felt like he grew up with the team and he talks about how he`s not doing well with Real but until his contract expires he wants to prove himself to Spanish people..

Sorry for saying 'he' so many times.

Yeah, heard about this before, but getting him back will be a step back rather than forward for Manchester United.

I can't see them wanting him back

Doesn't fit with the style of play i.e. quick actual wingers in giggs and ronaldo as opposed to beckham who is more suited to a team who play a defencive 4-4-2 with 2 solid lines of 4 like liverpool. If he does come back to England can't see it being to any of the top teams other than manU though, surely?

move becks to rw, ronaldo to a lw, and hope giggs retires :D

It will be a cold day in hell when he returns.

Why would we want him back? It would only impede Ronaldo's development on the right wing, and besides there are better, younger wingers in the game today.

Becks is not leaving Madrid he has said he wants to retire at Madrid and the Commentator on todays game said he has just bought a house in Madrid and his son is going to be born there so i don't think he is going to leave, i mean look he is 29 and only has about 5-6 years left in his career and i don't see him going anywhere soon

This comes out exactly _twelve_ days after he said he wants to retire with Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Maybe if SAF retires, then he might come back. And why not, unless we sign someone someone better, if not, I'd like to see him play midfield and Ronaldo push up to a forward position like he plays for Portugal.

Yes...we dont need Beckham now.
and one more thing, Fergie didnt like Beckham so he sold him to Real Madrid. Now, Fergie is still our manager, how will Fergie accept him back???

Joe Star

Becks will never play at MU as long as Ferie is still boss. So yeah......you can forget bout him returning. Unless........MU's shirt sales go down (H)

Jesus Christ when will people see that Beckham can't do anything but freekicks?

Having him on the pitch is like playing 10 against 11. He could do well for an NFL team as a kicker, where he just enterst the field a few times a game to kick the ball a few yards. That's all he's good for

yeah, i think Beckham will leave Madrid... at the end of his contract. Maybe (just maybe) he will get an extension for 1 or 2 years, but he will be too old (32-33) to be in the starting XI (Zizou and Figo are the exceptions, they're legends), and in the next 2 years, we will probably get another LW, a younger one (Joaquin?). So, his best option is to move back to Manchester, instead of rooting in Madrid bench. The other option is to play in Qatar,Japan or MLS, but i think he won't go there, he doesn't need the money.

He shouldn't have left man utd in the first place. Ronaldo is better than beckham right now, although the thing is that since beckham left, man utd have not been doing as well as they were before him. They are a very settled team, but they have their ups and downs too much. Sometimes i wonder that it was Beckham keeping man utd alive. But Ronaldo is in the squad, he's better than Beckham imo, so i don't think beckham will be going to man utd. I doubt it that he will be in the first 11. He probably won't go for chelsea, He isn't gonna take over Robben's (Or duff) place.

it took a while to get settled after beckham left--to find a replacement.

but now ronaldo is playing better every game and learning how to provide to the forwards as well as dribble so this is good

we dont need beckham anymore

Beckham wasn't that hard to replace!
remember Ole played very well at beckham's position when he was out with injury and when he left!

I do remember hearing something about a year ago about Beckham being interested in finishing his career in the MLS. He currently has a home in California, so it wouldn't be too out of the ordinary to believe he'd end up there as (yet another) publicity stunt.

I don't see why he'd want to get more boots thrown at him at Old Trafford, so if he does return to England, i doubt it'd be with Man United. I doubt United want him back either. I doubt he could break into a bigger squad in a couple of years in England. I could see him signing for a team that wants to make a run for the elite (like Everton if they can keep up their form from this season over the next couple years, or possibly a team like Spurs or Villa, if they could actually start playing like they should be).

He doesn't need the money? Dude, EVERYONE needs the money. This is Beckham we're talking about.

Yep, even Ashley Cole is considering his options because of money. ;)
