View Full Version : We want the Mexican league
Danks 26-09-1999, 07:25:PM HOLA AMIGOS!! Well I have to ask why easports don´t put the mexican league in the fifa 2000?, it´s a Cool League and it have some real good players, like Luis Hernández "el matador", Jorge Campos and much more...
I was wondering if easports can do something.
Saludos from México
celtic fc 26-09-1999, 08:12:PM I'm sorry if I offend you but I have watched the mexican league and frankly I don't think its a good enough league to partake in this game. Look at fifa rankings
The Ikster 26-09-1999, 09:15:PM I heard that the Mexican League IS in FIFA 2K.
(This is only what I heard. I did see that it's not.)

Elninho 26-09-1999, 11:15:PM ¡Saludos de los Estados Unidos!
I agree wholeheartedly. Leagues from just about everywhere other than Europe need to be represented (as well as a few in Europe.) I've seen a lot of Mexican football and I think it definitely deserves to be in FIFA 2000. Same goes for the J-League (why is the K-League in but not the J-League?!?!), the Egyptian league, and the Russian league.
Ramuel 26-09-1999, 11:56:PM yeah... and also a rest of america section..... teams from chile, peru, ecuador, colombia, Venezuela, etc
[This message has been edited by Ramuel (edited 09-26-1999).]
yehh me too...i have a qustion for u mexicans..y luis hernandez and cuatamalo
blanco (and ramirez and all the rest great mexican players) do not playing in europe?
Ronaldinho Gaucho 27-09-1999, 10:43:PM I think that EA should make cd's with different leagues in it....that would make a lot of people happier with the game...But I still think that EA should put the Argentinian league in the game...because let's face it the Argentinian league is a lot better the mexican league....They've got Chilavert, that number 9 from BOCA JUNIORS, they've got a better league...
gaucho 28-09-1999, 12:47:AM I think Argentina and Brazil have the best legues of America by far. Look at these names:
Argentina: Chillavert, Bassedas, Bardaro
Caceres, Peralta, Delgado.
Bonano, Aimar, Saviola, Angel
Cordoba, Bermudez Serna, Palermo, RIQUELME, Cagna, Gmo, B.Schelotto, SAMUEL.
Chupa Lopez, I. CORDOBA, Romeo, M. Rodriguez, Romagnoli.
Calderon, Marioni (Gimenez ex-sporting lisboa) Cambiasso
I'm sure that u may not know 95% of those names, but they are as good or even better than Batistuta, Crespo, Ortega, Sensini, Simeone, Zanetti, Almeyda and many others that now are succeeding all over Europe.
About Brazil, i dont know many names, but its teams are winning over anyteam in Copa Mercosur.(Argentinian temas play this cup with more reserves than starters, but anyway 3 or 4 starters always play)
Ramuel 28-09-1999, 01:35:AM yeah..thats what im talking about.... we latin people feel like ea has something againsist us!!..... make more latin teams dammit!!!!
celtic fc 28-09-1999, 02:10:AM Ramuel,
it has nothing to do with disscrimination it is the quality of the league and to be quite frank with you the mexican league is a very poor quality league
celtic fc,
argentinas league is better then scottish and korean and malasien and israelien and alot of other leagues!!!!!
martin palermo allmost moved from argentina to athletico for 20 million!!!
ortega,maradona,gallardo,veron,simeone,zaneti
and more...give me one damm scottish player then better then them...belive me there's alot of other argentinien players that still play in argentina and kick scotalnds ass...
same for mexico hernanadez the best striker in the world...but still play in mexico!!
Ramuel 28-09-1999, 07:53:PM hey celtic...first of all im not mexican....and second there are leagues is south america that are truely better than european. the leagues from argentina, brazil, chile and mexico are better than scotland, malasia....... so dont mess with us latin people!!!
Yeah!!! Celtic would be just another crushed bug underneath the shoe of teams like Palmeiras, Cruzeiro,Atletico MG,Vasco,Flamengo,Boca Juniors,River Plate...I could go on forever. The point is,Brazil and Argentina have clubs that alone would kill some of the best in Europe(espesially Soctish teams!!!) There is no excuse to not include more Brazilian teams and an Argentinan league and maybe a Mexican one, other than the EA people are just racist against Latins! But that wouldnt be right, because Italians are Latins( They are, lets not start an argument over that, just because they are in Europe doesnt mean that they are not Latin) Brazilian teams KICK ASS!!! Argentinan teams do to. So "carry on with your tea", Celtic, and dont come putting your stinkin' U.K. nose in places where it cant back its self up! Scots suck at football, that should've been apperant in World Cup 98,when Brazil kicked yalls ass in the opener!! England is O.K.,not as good as most European teams, but still the best in the U.K. I like the English,so I wont say anything about them, but for you Scottish folks, DONT COME CHALLENGING THE LATINS!!!!!
Oh, and I will pick up where Gaucho left off, here are some Brazilian names for you to ponder over: ROMARIO,BEBETO,MANCUSO,MARQUES,RONALDINHO GAUCHO,VALDIR,TULIO,ALEX ALVES..... whew,I'll stop there, those names alone make me shake to think that maybe some European teams may have to face them! Those names and many,MANY more make up the best from Brazil. Put them together with the best from Argentina and what do you have?? TWO LEAGUES THAT DESERVE MORE RESPECT!!! By the way Celtic,my Latin amigos from Mexico are not bad at soccer(I am Brazilian by the way) In fact,Mexican teams are pretty good. I'm not saying they shouldve been the first ones in FIFA 2000,but if Sweden,Korea, and MLS is the game,THEN MEXICO SHOULD BE TO!!!! On behalf of the only Portugese speaking country in South America, VAI TOMAR NO CU!!!!
Lorenzo Christian 14-10-1999, 08:15:PM South American Soccer Rules:
Jardel top scorer in Portugal
Rivaldo and Lopez 2nd and 3rd scorers in Spain
Amoroso and Batistuta 1st and 2nd scorers in Italy
Elber would have been top score without injury
Cruz 2nd scorer in the Netherlands
When Palermo goes to Lazio, then they will find Vieri's replacement. He scored a record 20 goals in 98-99 and he has scored nearly seventy goals in his Boca career.
As far as Hernandez, he is probably a little old to be bought by a huge club, but he is still deadly. Blanco should be in Spain, where any number of teams could use him. Ramirez almost went to Italy, but his Mexican Club refused. Mexican players do not get the respect they deserve and thus they receive lower offers. Marquez's departure will hopefully start an exodus of Mexican players to Europe, which will enable them to become a world power. Dale Equipo Azteca!
aldeayea 14-10-1999, 11:24:PM Talking about soccer leagues....
IMHO,FIFA 2000 should have included more leagues also.
Mexican soccer is skillful and technically brillant.IN.Maybe Chilean and Argentinaian leagues should also have been in......and maybe there should have been 20 teams in Brazilian League instead a f***ing misery 7(how to play eh play Super League lah?)!!!
J-League should also been included. But pls don't exclude K-League from Korea.I have seen Korean soccer and its standard is pretty good. Also K-League is the earliest professional league in Asia, not J-League.Why?K-League was setup in 1983 and it helped Korea to reach 5 World Cups(1986-1998)!!!
Russian league is pretty good too. They deserved to be included.Maybe EA should include an Eastern Europe selection of clubs, the same for Asia and Other continents too....juz a suggestion.Don't take it too seriously.
At the very very least,we should include these leagues.
I also do agree with many of Ur suggestions that maybe EA should include more leagues around the world and then pack them in 2-3 CDs and then sell them together with the main CD as a package.Anyone who has the Microsoft Encrata Encylopedia should know what I'm talking about.I think that's the only best way to appease the anger of some users, isn't it??
Anyway as of TODAY,if U can't stand the sight of say the Isreali league cos of its low class standard. And yet U loved the Mexican League. Then may I make a suggestion?
Go and customise all the Isreali teams, its players and jerseys into Mexcian ones instead!!!!!!!:-) That is if U have the time.....
That's what I did in FIFA 98.I actually customised the whole Swedish league into the Korean League.I changed all the teams jerseys, the players' facial looks and their names etc...from a Swedish look into a Korean one!!!
And mind U,I surfed the net, watched soccer TV programs often to find out the exact team players' name & position, the team jerseys before customising them bit by bit till it was complete!!
Maybe U could still take a leaf out of my book........
Thats exactly what I did in FIFA 99. Because Brazil only had 8 teams(ugh!) I changed all the teams and players in the Belgium league and made it into a Brazilian league with all the teams that should have already been there.
Then I took the old Brazilian league and turned it into an Argentinian league. It worked out ok,but its just not the same unless its already included in the game.
I hope that the warez version that many people are playing is only a Beta, and the retail version when it comes out will be complete.
Look at these facts: No Korean league listed even though it was promised.
I totalled the teams listed and it totalled to only a little over 400, we were promised over 800.
I called the EA people and asked them how many Brazilian clubs there were, telling him how ridiculous FIFA 99 was to only include 8. Then he said that he couldnt tell me,but he promised that there were AT LEAST 8,but the warez version only has 7.
So after all this it is safe to say that the version many people are playing is robbed of many things that we will only see in the retail version. Lets hope so!
RoB_060 15-10-1999, 02:43:AM Lorenzo Christian,
20 goals isn't anything close to a record in europe. Dwight Yorke scored 29 last season for manchester united, and he's from trinidad. andy cole had 24 and ole gunnar solskaer had 19. maybe lower standards are why those leagues aren't included.
RoB_060 15-10-1999, 02:47:AM both robbie fowler and andy cole have scored over 100 goals and they've barely even made any international appearances
aldeayea 15-10-1999, 04:51:AM Galo,
Yeah me too..I do hoped that many of U guys are playing is ONLY A BETA TESTING version, that's all.
I was also pretty dismayed that Korean teams weren't included in the list.Even though there were strong promises for EA to include the Korean League....and U say what 800 teams promised in FIFA2k?
Well..I do hoped that EA makes up to this promise soon.800 teams....phew!!!And also the promise of more than 8 teams in Brazilian League. The good teams of worthy recognition in brazilian soccer doesn't only NUMBER UP to only 8.More deserved to be named as well,U know......maybe at least 12-15 sides.
As for the moment however,I think we could only sit here and pray for the release of FIFA 2K.......PRAY..PRAY..PRAY
Lorenzo Christian 16-10-1999, 05:37:AM Oh, by the way, Palermo scored 20 goals in half of a year. His total for the year was 32 goals in 35 games. This was just in league games. Yorke, Cole, and Solksjaer scored their goals in league, FA, and Champions matches.
