this may be a dumb question, but I need to ask. I just bought WE8 and really enjoy but now I would like to add to it. Which of Wolf's patches do I need to get to make this game up to date?
Thanks

Which of Wolf's patches do I need to get to make this game up to date? Thanks Zygalski 22-02-2005, 09:53:PM First you need a patch made for that specific game. Then you will probably want to get the latest one or one that contains updates that you prefer. PES4 patches will not work on WE8:I thomasd21 22-02-2005, 10:55:PM so bascally find Wolf's patches for WE8 and voila Nuno 23-02-2005, 12:14:AM Yeah, he has good readme files that will walk you through the process. Run a search for Wolf patches in this forum. Read what they offer and choose the one you want. In his newer ones he changed the stats for all the players. It caused some contoversy. I say try them out and see which one you like best. thomasd21 23-02-2005, 12:48:AM I have searched on how to install the new files, like Wolfs patches but I can't seem to grasp how to install them. I am not computer smart. Can someone help me with the steps to install the 2005 Evolution Patch for WE8 PC Thanks oscarwilde 23-02-2005, 01:11:AM Hi Thomas, Until recently, I was relatively new to this whole patching of the Winning Eleven series. As described above, the first thing you need to do is grab a patch. The best one, in my opinion for WE8:I is The Wolf's patch. Look around the forum for Wolf's first release, called The Wolf FM2005 Evolution Patch - WE8I PC. You can find the link to the files here: http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=119341 You'll need a fast connection, otherwise it will take a long time. I would suggest going to the Boomtown link, becoming a member, and download the file in its entirety. Otherwise, you'll need to be familar with .torrents. Given the fact you mentioned you were a neophyte, follow the former suggestion. Once downloaded you need to unpack the file with WinRaR - available at www.downloads.com Once you've unpacked the file, read the instructions contained within Wolf's README. If you are unfamilar or uncomfortable with copying files in the XP environment then let me know. Once you have successfully installed this patch, you can then download his latest update found here: http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=120140 ALTERNATIVELY: If you are familar with .torrents and have a really fast connection, you can use Azureus or Bit Torrent and download Wolf's latest update (900 MBs) via Torrent: http://zerotracker.com/download.php?ID=6462&NAME=/WE8I%20PC%20-%20The%20Wolf%20FM2005%20Final%20Patch%20%26%20Opt ion%20File%20X%20Applied.rar.torrent The Wolf gave me this link himself. Downloading this patch is the easiest of all the alternatives because this patch is linked to the DVD-ROM. Therefore you can download this, uninstall your game and then reinstall from scratch. It's pretty fantastic. This may seem a bit daunting, but take your time, read all the posts and you shouldn't have any problems. thomasd21 23-02-2005, 01:24:AM Thank you very much I appreciate the help oscarwilde 23-02-2005, 02:43:AM Originally posted by thomasd21 Thank you very much I appreciate the help You're very welcome.
