aqsoccer03 25-02-2005, 08:10:AM I have some questions:
How is the creation center? Is it detailed? Can you choose your boots? If so, what ones? Can you choose balls for games? Basically how is the gameplay? Are the goalies good?
Thanks and sorry i have so many questions.
well there is a lARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEE variety of balls and players and shoes they ahve the nike license so there are total 90 balls and shoes and stuff but the creattion center is werid htey have every hair colour except black anyway its good u can change the colour of any boots also the shirts and shorts are nike plus they have the adidas license also and the keepers are GOOD but the goasl u can score can be easy sumtimes but really NICE lik bicycles off teh post or TOP corner shots off th crossbar and stuff :p
golfanatic5 25-02-2005, 10:28:AM How about shooting? Is it like the normal FIFA games where you aim your joystick or is it different? I amg etting it soon and have high hopes.
cariverplate_1 25-02-2005, 10:47:AM i bought it last night.....so addicting....the rule the street is pretty cool...the moves are smooth and very easy to do...just that u need to make the moves make sense or the defender can take it away....the create a player is much much better than the EA fifa......big variety of clothing and cool music.....but at times its hard to score and frustrating...sometimes......theres not much bad stuff to say about this game....the graphics are nice...the faces are pretty god...only some look crappy.
BUY THIS GAME;)
i give a 8.5 out of 10

thanks for that.
Also, do you know if we can link the moves? I heard that you could but idk. And someone said the moves are really fluid (i think cariverplate), so do they work well?
deluxxe 25-02-2005, 01:57:PM there's a combo system, and gamebreakers. There's about a zillion different moves... I just picked it up on my way home from work. only played a few games. Kinda dissappointed that it's only international teams though. Was hoping to see some la liga/serie A/or EPL teams.
ilkeprettygirls 25-02-2005, 03:40:PM u can link up moves, and i think every move you can do on an opponent u can also do it off the wall to get around them that way.
so u got moves when facing the opponent.
moves when you've got ur back to the opponent. taunts, about eight of those. and also a handful of moves that you do just to show off when u got space.
defense is pretty cool too. you use triangle (based off the dualshock 2) to intercept the ball when a ball goes by you, but it's gotta be timed right. then you use L1 to block a move when they try for one, which will cause them to lose the ball. then you got circle which is a step in tackle, and if ur next to them gives em a little bump. and then there's the slide tackle which lays them out.
the goalies are good. there's that rare instance where stupid goals happen, but it's not often like people try to make u think. if you're just aiming at the goal, then they are superheros, but try and pass the ball around, and attempt different strategies of attack.
and the shooting. it's kind of the same, but it's better. instead of like in the traditional fifa, it's not up or down to shoot at the goalies sides, it's left and right. it might seem confusing but just picture a goal, and if you hold left/down on the analog stick, then it'll shoot to the goalies bottom right hand corner, etc. it's really useful, and more specific if ur shooting it high, bottom corner, mid high, center middle, etc.
the rule the street thing is really fun, and if it gets too easy change the difficulty! right now i'm playing it on hard, and will soon be changing to super hard! :p no no the games not that easy, it's just that i'm that good :rockman: .
if you played NBA Street Vol. 2, you get an idea of what kind of options of play you had there. the NBA Challenge is pretty much what this rule the street is, you create a character, get a team. beat teams, get better players, improve yourself. win certain amount of games on a court, win the tournaments. tada!
before you start the rule the street you create yourself. so they had some red adidas shorts which i have, and the predators trx fusion. and i just gave my player a black top and white long sox with black stripes, the faux-hawk hair, like beckham used to have, and vualah, it is exactly like me when i play soccer!
then you got the friendly matches which you can play with up to four players :) . this game is an awesome addition to gaming and poker night with my buddies.
you can also create up to four star teams. so let's take Mike Owen, David Beckham, Ronaldo, and Casillas, and we got ourselves a Real Madrid. You can do this with other players as well, etc.
it lacks of online play, but if you've got a good group of friends, this game can be a blast, not to mention rule the street on your own!
i give this game an 8.5 out of 10. i'm going to be playing this a lot, and that's saying a lot cause i've got NBA street V3 (which I'm first place on the boards, congratulate me?), and Gran Turismo 4 ;).
i hope this was informative, if you're not sure, give it a rent, you'll have a blast. it's definately worth the $40 i payed.
if this didn't answer your questions, then just ask. cut the foreplay and just ask man.

thanks. finally a helpful review
Drsmoo 26-02-2005, 12:24:AM can you tell me the ratings for the usa players? thanks!
ManWithNoMouth 26-02-2005, 01:55:AM You can't seem to do any more than 1 player in the rule the street mode. I wanted to go through it with a mate being on the same team, but it's impossible. I get bored of just friendly match after friendly match when playing with mates, so this sucks a bit.
becksfranksteve 26-02-2005, 07:32:AM can you post every team squads for
england,brazil,argentina,spain,italy

Frost 27-02-2005, 02:56:AM Yes the review is very good ilkeprettygirls.
I have the game too and must say I like NBA Street V3 better. That doesn't mean that FIFA Street is bad, not at all, but NBAV3 is more technically mature as FIFA Street. This is normal because FIFA Street is the first game of the series, there will follow more. Thats sure. ;)
I would give it a 7,5/10. The career mode is really good. Go buy it. :crazyboy:
Cya !

I agree with you. Of course NBA Street V3 is going to be more technically mature-- its the 3rd in the series. FIFA street will be grow and become more and more advanced. I cant even think about what FIFA Street 3 is going to be like. Next Gen consoles for sure. Anyway, i have the game and would rate it an 8.75 out of 10. The multiplayer is AMAZING! It never gets old and the action is non stop. I love the creation center and they have a huge assortment of cleats. Rule the Street is good, and the aiming system is VERY clever. My only complaint is (like everyone elses) how the ball physics are less than good. But they arent as bad as some people think. If you havent played the game yet and have only seen the videos, then you cant make a good judgement. The fast paced action is fun and i recommend it to all. In my opinion its better than NFL Street. Theres not many moves in football that you can really say 'wow that is sick'. But in FIFA Street, the moves are plentiful.
Buy, Buy, Buy:D
arcturuz 27-02-2005, 11:48:AM yea this game has bad ball physics, unrealistically sticking to the players' feet, wierd movements etc. but bottomline is, this game is FUN.
i've played a few matches, and i'm enjoying it alot. its like arcade pure fun soccer. i'm giving it a 7.5/10 at the moment.
Hopeunited 01-03-2005, 09:14:AM Well I just got it today and only had time to play half an hour. It's pretty sick and I like it. However the only thing that gives me a headache is that I can't build a team with my friends (also created players) for the Rule the Streets mode... So I always have to have those subpar real players like Morrison, Claus Jensen, etc. on my squad... :p
Pretty good game still, cant wait to play more.
Grant11 12-03-2005, 11:17:PM Can you please post a boot and ball list ?
AlienSeafood 17-03-2005, 11:16:PM im playin rule the street now...hu has finished this? what can i unlock beside the courts??
