Early, yes. In the window, yes.

Southampton v Arsenal
St Mary's Stadium
Saturday, 26 February
Kick-off: 1245 GMT

Neither team has been announced yet, and Arsenal don't need to announce a team cause they have like 16 useable players.

Dennis Bergkamp, Cesc Fabregas, and Jose Reyes miss out due to bans for violent conduct. Sol Campbell is injured, Edu might be short. Gilberto is still out.

Jeremie Aliadiere played his first game for the reserves in midweek, his first action since the 3-1 win over Man Utd in the Shield (Aug).

Alot for a squad of Arsenal's size.

I have no damn idea what Saints are doing, Crouch is playing...leave it at that.

For Arsenal I'd go with:

Taylor (GK)

Lauren
Toure
Cygan
Cole/Clichy

Ljungberg
Flamini
Vieira
Pires

Henry (Cpt)
van Persie
===================
Lehmann (GK); Larsson, Quincy, Aliadiere, Senderos

0-5 Arsenal

Henry will come out of his hiding for a match against the mighty Saints and score three. He will be proclaimed as the best in the world again, and all the Arsenal fans will be jizzing over it.

Haha, good stuff. Ill call for a 3-1 Arsenal win, simply because Soton are a team so damn low on confidence, they cant even scrape it against Norwich. Anyway, Henryx2, Ljungberg for the Arse, and Camara for Southampton. If anyone is gonna keep them in the top flight, its him

Well, we thrashed Palace 5-1, and Saints are near the bottom, so why not another thrashing? We don't have Sol, so that will hurt us, I don't know when Reyes and Bergkamp serve their bans, but if this is one of the games that they serve them on, then we might be in for a tough battle.

The Arsenal goal was about Henry's persistence as well as comical Southampton defending. Ljungberg was at the right place as well.

The Southampton goal was all about Lehmann's foolishness. Crouch headed pass a Lehmann who was in no man's land.

Carroll is being an ass like you guys with Edu.

On the match, the assistant referee was absolutely correct on Cole's disallowed goal.

Yea, as you can see the problem for us has not been attacking..... In fact I think we might be the best in the league at that....... But we cant keep a clean sheet for SSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:kader: :kader:

I was cursing the linesman when cole scored at the end bu it was a clear offside and a good call :( :(

We have funds from the sale of Djemba-Djemba and the possible sale of Kleberson to Corinthians. We might still offload some players in the summer.

Dreath
26-02-2005, 09:05:PM
We face a bloody Striker problem now as well.

Reyes, Bergkamp and VP banned for the FA Cup game.

Looks like Aliadiere and Henry will start. Then we've got Edu and Pirés injured.

We have to buy a lot in the summer. Quality and quantity.

A centre mid is the least of our problems.

We need a Centre-back, Right back, Goalkeeper and THEN a centre mid.

Bummy_JaB
26-02-2005, 09:09:PM
Van Persie is always playing dirty.......I have seen him get away with a lot cheap shots, not to mention he's a ball hog like Michael Jordan.........

I thought he would be the Bergkamp replacement but that doesnt seem to be the case at all :kader: :kader:

Lauren isn't good enough, Eboué looks like he's got potential, but ythat's all it is. Potential. a well established right back will suit us.

Bummy_JaB
26-02-2005, 09:21:PM
We dont need a right back at all

we got Lauren, Hoyte, Eboue, and Toure covering that position........

the #1 problem is the goalkeeping..... Lehman has been awful this season:kader: :kader:

But yea after the keeper situation has been resolved we can strengthen our CB position

Campbell is now injury proned and i think will continue to be in and out of the side :kader: :kader:

The situation might change if Wenger persuades him to get married.

But oh wait, it might still get worse thinking it's Hingis that I am talking about.

Help?

Good call Houston! Ladylover, is that true? Is Ferguson really going after Paul Robinson? I find it hard to believe that Spurs would let him go for anything other than a big fee, but who knows. Anyway, unrelated question, but i didnt know where else to ask. Ive never see Crystal Palae play, but goddamn, how do they get so many penalties? Johnson has scored so much from the spot, ive got to wonder how they are awarded all those. Is it him creating them??

No, they are just good at conuter attacks, especially that every attack goes through Andy, nobody else can score there.

post match Wenger seemed fairly pissed at Van Persie, especially since he had warned him at half-time to be cautious. he pretty much singled him out for the loss, without actually saying that.

isn't it amazing the number of **** keepers at good clubs this season, and the number of mistakes they are all making. :(

on Palace they have offically had the most penalty kicks in the premireship this season :o

but he's a great player, IMO.

oh, and i really wish Henri Camara would have scored in the last minute to beat Arsenal. it would've been SOOOOO sweet.

Yeah, it is true that SAF is after Robinson, but the Spurs want nothing less than 12m

I'm honestly not shocked.

Strikers we can use: Henry, Aliadiere, Quincy, Lupoli

oh joy.

And Henri Camara forgets how to kick a ball when he gets in the box. Ask any Celtic fan.

Henri Camara didn't forget when he scored on his debut for Southampton, or twice at St. Mary's against Brentford.

A few more red cards in the next few matches then? Keep this up and you'll start fielding your Under 12 teams, because you're running out of players.:p
