Although FA Stars was pretty poor it did have sponsors on the shirts (except for alcohol firms etc.) so Fifa 2000 may have it but it would be a lot of work to get right for all the teams, after all in Fifa 99 they didn't even get all the teams colours right.
By the way, Juve isn't sponsored by Sony no more http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/wink.gif

The four new screenshots were taken of teams in Major League Soccer (MLS), America's division one league. I should know, since my favorite pro team is in three of those shots (San Jose Clash, the team with the black jerseys and the horizontal light-blue stripes). http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
In MLS, most of the teams have either the team name or the name of the city on the chest area, while the sponsor's name appears below the number on the back of the jersey. A smaller version of the sponsor's name appears on both one of the sleeves (I forget which one) and on the shorts. I don't know if the sponsor names will appear in the game or not, though.
I'm not sure if the other teams in FIFA 2000 will have text on the jersey or not... it would be nice if they did! http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Only MLS teams will have sponsors guys. That's it, no one else. That was EAC's statement a while back.

Paul,
According to the new screenshots, even the MLS teams will NOT have the sponsors in FIFA 2000, since if they did they would have shown on the back of the players' jerseys (like I just explained). What was shown on the front of the jersey in the screenshots was the team's name (in MLS, most of the teams have either the team name or city name on the front).
Also according to the screenshots, it doesn't appear that the players' last names will be on the back of the jerseys either - very unusual, since all MLS teams have the players' last name on the back (like they do on most EPL teams). http://www.soccergaming.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi I'm a huge Major League Soccer fan and would love to get hold of the Major League Soccer version of FIFA2000. Only problem is that I live in England and I am not sure whether the full MLS details are in the UK release. P.S I love all the MLS teams, especially Mutiny,United,Fire and Fusion.
Cheers,
P.S The MLS screenshots look awesome.
Best MLS teams: D.C. United, and Dallas Burn!! I'm a bit lost here. Is MLS only going to be included in the American release of FIFA 2k,and not the rest of the world? Why would they do that?!? Doenst matter to me, I live in the U.S. so I'll be getting the MLS league anyway, I was just wondering if thats what EA is planning on doing.
PALMEIRAS V.S. MANCHESTER U.
NOVEMBER 30th!!!!
It is very unlikely that FIFA2000 will have sponsors and players' names on the shirts. EA does not even border to get the jersey colours right sometimes. As compared with Premier STARS, I am impressed with the details of the shirts but not the game play itself. If they can do it in Premier STARS, I am sure they can do the same in FIFA2000. They are just too lazy to do it!!

To tangerinetoffee
Juve have both D+ and Sony. It was so in the pre-season. I think they use Sony in UEFA Cup sometimes...
