If you read astolfo's topic, " South America x Europe" You would have seen that EA is being totally stupid only to include 1 South American league. Like he said, Argentina,Mexico,Chilie should be included in FIFA along with the top clubs from the already included(but highly underated) Brazilian league. The numbers are there. No need to argue. S.America needs more teams. I cant understand some of you guys. Do you want to play the best football game you can possibly play,or play some second hand game? If you answered yes to the first question, then that would mean including the best leagues in the WORLD,with the real and current players and attributes, instead of just filling up league gaps with some pretty bad leagues from Europe. Think before you speak and answer me this: Wouldnt you be getting more out of a football game that included all the best leagues in the world then just a game with the good ones and bad ones from Europe? Look at it this way,for us to be getting the most out of the FIFA series, leagues that are not even properly ranked in UEFA rankings like Portugal,Belgium, and Scotland should not be included. They should have the best clubs from those leagues in a the rest of world option. Now,the leagues that should be included in their place are:Argentina,Mexico,Chilie,Russia,Japan. Like most of you,I dont want to replace a league to gain a league. But you know as much as I do that EA is not going to put in all the leagues we want into one version of FIFA, so some must be sacrificed to truly make FIFA the best football game in the world, and not just Europe.Hope you understood.

I think they have the leagues for countries
where the game sells alot. Isn't most of South America pretty poor (no offense) and
not that many have computers or are interested in computers compared to scotland
for example. So they include the scottish league because they want to play that league in scotland. It's not because that the rest of the world want to play it. I think most want to play
maybe their own league and maybe England and Italian.

I can understand what you are saying, and it makes sense. And for the most part its true. BUT,for the leagues I listed: Brazil,Argentina,Chilie, and Mexico, they are not poor countries at all. And like the rest of the world, just about EVERY house has a computer. And Latins with computers and/or playstations will be playing the best football games out there. So, after my good points in the first post, and after we cleared up the things you said in your post,we all must come to one conclusion:
THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO INCLUDE MORE AND BETTER S.AMERICAN LEAGUES AND CUPS.
just a reminder: Palmeiras vs Man U. November 30th, Toyota Cup final(where was that cup,by the way,in FIFA 99? Weird.)

I wasn't aware of the popularity of computers
in South America.Anyways, you are right - if the game sells good there
it makes sense to include some leagues from
the area.

First EA has to get liscences from the leagues which may be hard to do if they have commited to another game. Like the MLS, EA had to get permission first before they could be put into the game.
