I just want to see peoples thoughts on what has happened with this game and this forum. I haven't played Fm in a while and it seems to me that this forum isnt as alive as it used to be in the Cm 03-04 days.

One of the reasons for me stopping playing is that FM has been to slow on my computer

Well i still play FM, as im sure a lot of Sg'ers do. But it does seem as tho this forum isn't as alive as the Cm 03/04 days, and its a shame really. But it does get to a point where everyone speaks about everything once the game has come out, and then it doesn't leave much to speak about after that, so it dies down a bit. So it looks like football manager games do have a shelf life so to speak, but people still do post here, i wouldn't call it inactive.

I think the FM population was the highest since 01/02, really. But yeah, it dies down the further you get from the release. Patches seem to bring life back for one or two week stretches, but that's it. Of course there's always the regular guys that keep posting (Y).

It's funny to see so many people posting, outside the FM forums, remarks about how FM connects with other faces of the game (be it real life, FIFA, PES, or whatever (=CM5)). It almost looks as if we have > 5000 members playing FM, and < 50 posting in the FM forums. :(

seriously said, there are still a lots of people out there doesn't know the differents between FM2005 and CM5 and keep asking why there is no CM04/05 this year.

SI forums are packed, these forums are dead cause they are boring.
And I play FM non-stop.

This forum is pretty lively, true it isnt as busy as it was in the 0102 days, but the forum was NEVER busy during CM0304, we were always complaining about it back then too. The dizzy heights of the 0102 days wont ever come back, and the sooner we realise that the sooner we can get on with producing a good, solid forum. :D

Anyway, you all think the FM forum is bad, take a look at the CM forum :p

Hell no the FM fourn isnt bad, i actually rate this as the best forum ( yea im biased so waht (6) :chew: ) I always check this forum first. CM 01-02 was so busy because that was the best manager game and imo still is. We also lost some old posters :nape:

the first CM game i started to play is CM4. i never play CM01/02 before. because of looking for some help on CM, so i starting to look around the web and found this forum. i enjoy to surf this forum everyday. this is the best forum i found, i enjoy myself at here, enjoy to exchange my opinion and experiences with you guys. i really like this forum.

My studies prevent me from logging on to the forum as often although I play FM regularly.

God last year we had more ppl complaining the forums were dead.

I think the forums are alive and kicking so to speak and I don't think it must get much bigger because then you get situations in which someone has a request or question and no-one answers it because it gets posted out by all the other posts made.
Here everytime someone pops by and asks a question about FM there's always someone who answers it.

i visit regularly, but due to increased time at work, an assload of work at college and basketball, i seldom have time to play so i dont post seeing as how i cant bring anything worthwile to the conversation :(. however, i do check this forum every day for news, see how other people are doing and updates on the game.

I dont post much in general been here for 5 months or so and only got like 50 posts. But every time one of you guys post I am very glad to read it, especially the "veterans" as Tom and Ruud usually have good posts aound here. And the rest of course :)

Yeah, looks like I went off to college after the summer of 2002 without CM and the entire forum just died without me. Sorry :(

God I miss CM/FM though, first thing I buy when I graduate is a computer and the newest CM, er... FM, NOT Championship Manager.
