I've had the game for years but I haven't worried about this question before. Why doesn't the transfer money go up or down? I don't follow football so I don't know how the real transfer market works but don't they make money throughout the season and buy better players?

You are absolutely right. But EA did not include such a feature in the game and haven't done in any newer version either so this is something we just have to live with...
