Corners - they're terrible.
We should be able to play short corners, aim for the goal from corners, lob outside the box for a 25 yard volley, etc. At the moment there's no sense of satisfaction about scoring from a corner - or even getting a corner. It detracts horribly from the gameplay.

Sounds - It sounds as though the chants were recorded by about a dozen people, and then someone put a load of reverb on - not good.
The chants are ok, but they aren't region-specific. It doesn't sound like mancs are singing united songs, or scousers are singing liverpool songs. It's just a generic accent doing the same chants.

Everything is always a bit too 'perfect'. The graphics could actually be a lot better, in terms of realism. There aren't enough mistakes in the game.

Goalkeepers...
Why are there more than 1 goalkeeper in a squad? Given that they can't either get injured, or sent off it seems pointless.

Player individuality. It seems as though there is only one player in a game - with different faces mapped on. There are no recogniseable 'Beckham runs' , or 'Ronaldo dribbles' - every player acts and moves and plays in the same way. Players should have personalities. Keane is aggressive, Ronaldo is a showboat. Bowyer and Dyer like to fight, etc.

Outfield players should be able to go in goal. Of course - this would only have a purpose if goalkeepers weren't invincible to injury or cards.

Ooh - some more stuff!

Speed:

Sometimes, players stop with the ball. Watch some games. People don't run around for 90 minutes - the speed of a football game is very dynamic.

And the position of player - certain players, like Heinze, Ashley Cole and Rory Delap will get forward a lot - especially for free kicks. This doesn't happen in FIFA.

And the keeper (human AND CPU) should come up for corners if the game is desperate and the keepers are extroverted.

if u have played Champions League you would no this has already been fixed...
ChampionsLeague is FIFA 1.5... it fixes most problems.. mainly the one w/ the defense being so far back even when the ball is on the other half of field...

if CL05 is any bet on how fifa will be next yr its gonna be worth getting

About the goalkeepers, they should make GOALKEEPER INJURIES or fatigue, or cards in FIFA 2006. That makes a backup have a point.

Ok, but I mean fequently, and injuries too. Goalies can really mess up thier knees, take my word for it lol.

Keepers can get Injured also, it's also highly unlikely in real life, same with Fifa but it does happen.

I couldn't agree with you more, WilX!

These are all great ideas, which would make a pretty good game much much better...

You make a lot of great points but please elavorate on what you say about the game not having enough mistakes in regards to graphics. Just give a few examples/ideas.
Thanks

I personaly think that the games got too many mistakes ... :nape:
But i do feel that the players kits could get muddier during rain matches, and pitches should cut up in places, during a career season, etc...

The plastic hair would be the main thing. Not many people really have immoveable, shiny hair in real life. Everything should just look a bit 'grittier'. Ruffled/ripped shirts, dirty socks, messed-up hair, better textured grass, nets that actually move when you score etc...
