I have both the playstation & PC versions of RTWC 98 & in the playstation version the weather effects are spectacular (thunder & lightning, Rain drops falling, the pitch steadily being covered in snow as the match goes on.) but in my PC version all I get for any combination of weather effects (rain or snow or even sleet) is a dence fog in the air, no rain drop effects, no thunder & lightning, & no snow accumulation on the field.
Makes for pretty bland game play, I'd much rather have those effects working.
If any one can shed some light on the possible problem please let me know.

much appreciate your insight.

I don't think they included anything more than just the fog in the PC version, which ofcourse is a shame... But hey, it's EA...

Hey, man!

It might be old but it is still better than Fifa 2001!

I bet you haven't even tried FIFA RTWC 98...

Damn right web head i'm with you...might be old but for my hard earned money it's still the best Fifa game that EA sports has ever made.
Mmmmm...curious to find out if a RTWC 2002 version is in the making? The only reason I ask is because it seems that the Fifa site has updated their Qualifying roster results to date, I'm pretty sure that the consulting co. that was hired to gather the gaming information used this info from RTWC 98 to create the roster's for all of the participating countries.
If so I hope that the game play & graphics are more realistic than these past few Fifa soccer editions of 99,2000 & 2001.

I hope so too and I really hope that EA won't let us fans that has been around since the beginning of the EA sports reign down once again...
I think that there are many things that can be done better to once again make a really enjoyable game. There were many improvements since the 2000 version and FIFA 2001 has some good aspects that FIFA RTWC 98 don't have but the most important thing, the gameplay, is way better and more enjoyable in FIFA RTWC 98.
But I have said this before and am saying it again, EA has now let us down so many times so someone, please tell me why it won't happen again?
