hi folks,
I'm glad I found this forum. now I know I am sane. There are others fanatics out there who also know fifa 98 rtwc (for pc) is the best football game.
It's now 2001 and still I'm taping those buttons on the Gravis Pro plus into the early hours of the morning, cranking out those special moves I have designated to specific players in certain parts of the pitch.
What makes the game play so great for me is the way the player edit fields translate on the pitch.
Give a player very high awareness and see him attempt passes you couldn't imagine or never expected! Or better still give that same player low passing ability and see them
attempt passes you couldn't imagine or never expected yet fail to reach their intended target.
Give Ferguson @ Everton a high tackle rating (i.e. > 79)and maximise his aggression then watch him win the ball off defenders (particularly defenders with low reation and/or high creativity).
The ability to individualise players are endless and adds to the enjoyment to the game.
Experiment with formations and player edits to make the game more interesting and realistic.
I'll give you some hint and tips on player edits and some unorthodox but effective formations soon!!!
