Funky But Effective Formations: Real Madrid
Remember last season's champions league quarter final between Manchester United and Real Madrid at Old Trafford?
As you might remember, Real pushed up their full-backs so they could set up quick counter-attacking moves by switching the play in midfield positions , once they broke up Man U's attack. Redondo was detailed to man-mark
Keane and Helguera sat in front of the two centre-halves (almost like a third centre half)
The wingers played wide still but the full backs were very narrow.
Although Real basically played a 4-4-2 formation it was on that night more like 334.
can you set up a (flat)3(Diamond)3(Diamond)4 on fifas '99, 2000, or 2001?
no No NO !!!!!.
try it on fifa '98 rtwc.
and watch the game play of team particularly the movement of the fullbacks.
It totally realistic and watch how Roberto Carlos takes Beckham out the game!!
(of course you need the player's edited correctly)
I’ll give you some hints on making players more realistic in a future post
