Is there any way to increase the chance of a player getting injuried on FIFA '98 RTWC??

It would greatly enhance an aleady great game!

I'm afraid I don't know, but I do agree that it would definately enhance this game even further...
There are too few injuries, that's a shame... But maybe making the players have worse fitness ratings might fix it? Atleast that will make them tired faster.

I don't think such a patch exists, atleast not one made by EA...

I also don't like the tactic changes and what annoys me the most is that you can't change them back either cause then the computer will just change it again...

This tactics change problem makes me nuts. At least the AI should put a midfielder up front instead of playing center with the sweeper. Crazy :p And it tries to kick up the ball from time and time again and what's the result? My keeper will be Man of the Match though he didn't have to make a quality save.
The injury problem: I don't understand why EA can't insert their great injury system from the NHL series. It's really good and realistic, with cold&bad streaks, minor injuries etc.

Hi emgergo!
Have you tried the 1.4 patch from EA?
You can get it from the soccergaming downloadcenter.
It reduces that kicking thing you talked about a bit.
I also think that the "sweeper playing striker" problem is not that good... I wish there was a solution to it...

Thanks for the advice. :)
About the 'attacking sweeper' problem: if I change control in the halftime and put an attacker to the sweeper position will the AI change it back after the first 'out of play' situation?

If you make sure that the substitution is made, I think the attacker will play instead of the sweeper. Who would be put up front...

if a team are playing a 4-4-2 formation and they are leading by half time, then I usually replace a striker with a central defender as the PC changes the team to a 5-4-1 formation. If they are losing, the formation changes to 3-4-3 formation. I then push the full backs as wing backs and substitute a striker with a third (central defender) and have the wingers in inside-forward positions (LF and RF).

Yeah, that sounds pretty good. Fine idea.
