Well this should get me posting more regularly. Anyway Ghaly should be back, and hopefully that should stabilize the team lineup so it won't change as much.. :| And Kalou should be sold to the highest bidder, and maybe a consistent goalkeeper that Gullit would trust can be bought. I have a lot of hope for preseason, and I'm sure the front office think so too.

Can we talk about Gabor Babos? Yes, we should. It comes down to this: overrated. Yes, he played great at NAC but since when does that mean anything? I don't know if you remember but he refused to play for the Hungarian national team when he was demoted to 2nd choice. Than the exact same thing happened at Feyenoord. Both in the same season. The last decent goalkeeper out of Rotterdam plays at Stoke and has a legendary porn mustache.

Defenders. Ruud Gullit and his new best boyfriend Mark Wotte are just gonna buy loads of them. This season alone you extended the contract of Saidi, you bought Basto, Bahia, Ostlund and Gibbs. Loovens is proof that the so-called Feyenoord Academy is either a) non-existent or b) just plain ****. You also got Serginho Greene (RKC, former Ajax academy) and Evander Sno (stolen from the Ajax academy). Are they even gonna get playing time?

Midfield. Nicky Hofs is a talent that deserves nurturing, not the Gullit treatment. Leaving aside the fact that they guy is a racist, I hope he does become a quality player. Paauwe? Hasn't he retired already? Goor? Quality transfer, the best in years. Had a memorable performance against PSV at de Kuip.

Dirk Kuyt may be a little **** but the guy is a great, great striker. He's my #2 choice for the FW position in the national team. He may be not that technically gifted but his fighting power makes up for it. He fights and fights and fights--I gotta admire that. He was a bit out of form this season, but look at the amount of goals he has scored this season. Props to him. Kalou? Damn, talk about overrated. Can anyone tell me the amount of assists this year? Exactly my point. Castelen will be a good player as long as Gullit doesn't come down on him too much. He's got it in him, you can see it. Leonardo? I swear I've seen at least two goal celebrations where a player celebrated by lifting his jersey and showing a shirt under that paying tribute to the guy.

Future: you got rid of Ebi Smolarek but got Ali Boussaboun in return. Not a bad trade if you ask me.

Pat ain't cutting it either. Old old old old.

you forgot Zuiverloon. needs more playing time to develop though.

I see Ono leaving because of Hofs. better to cash in early then never. Ghaly I'd like to see more of without injury.

heh, you and your Kalou. we'll cash him definitely, the boy has a big ambition, as he abandoned his Ivory Coast for Holland. Castelen should grow more, which I believe he will, and fill the expectation for a place on the right.

Kalou wants to play for Holland even though he barely speaks Dutch. They had this segment where Babel and Kalou were talking. They put subtitles every time Kalou said something. Now, I don't really mind that he doesn't speak the language fluently because it's a hard language. But when you play FOR that country, you need to master the language. Period.

MSN. :(

English is an option, Lee and Park mastered it to a level where they can be understood without an interpreter. But for the long term sake, you're right. He needs to get Dutch into his head if he is willing to play for Holland.

On a personal note, end of the school year is a DRAG. :( AP Java. :lui: :chew:

I did well on the US History though. But the AP Java thing bugs me, horrible horrible class. (N)

Kalou would be useful for the Dutch team.
I'm sure he'll learn Dutch from time to time I can actually understand him without the subtitles.

He went back to Suwon. During midseason. Sad but he couldn't adjust and Gullit was on his run of clearing out the players he didn't like. Ostlund replaced him in RB.

NEC 2 - Feyenoord 0

Defence was very shaky. They couldn't clear balls as they should've. The Offense had some good chance, but it was never completed per se. I would like to have said that this game was The Gabor Babos Show proudly, but the penalty ruins that fantasy. The second goal was very nicely created, a perfect cross by Denneboom that would've stunned other keepers too.

Not a great game. Feyenoord should be content with this score as they deserved something worse.

Or even better, Advocaat (H)

Feyenoord are losing the plot. In my opnion you need to give a coach two seasons, then judge him. If Gullit is fired, more heads should roll. Wotte? And I don't think it would be bad for Feyenoord if Van den Herik steps down.

Hyun
26-05-2005, 10:21:PM
Gullit's resignation was inevitable. if you're the coach, you take blame. I'm sure Gullit knew that much, and just wanted the "honorable" way out.

Feyenoord is finally cleaning up the squad. testing the youths out for next year, and taking out the old. I like where this is going so far.

I cannot believe what I'm reading in vi.nl. Feyenoord are selling Salamon Kalou to PSV... WHAT THE HELL!!! have they gone completely insane in Rotterdam, they're making their rivals stronger...

Vagegast
29-06-2005, 08:05:PM
Well, PSV has LOTS of money right now and Hiddink doesn't feel that he has a rivalry with either Ajax or F-Word. Also, the deal involves Theo Lucius. Poor guy, he actually had some playing time in Oranje and now has to go to Rotterdam.

Also, if you're gonna sell Kalou, you might as well cash in and sell Kuijt to Liverpool.

mhflierman
29-06-2005, 08:08:PM
Well I would have sold Kalou to anyone except for PSV and Ajax. Now that Kalou is on his way out, I just pray for Kuijt to be able to leave as well.

sad for Lucius, he was THE #1 PSV guy. He even brought us fireworks for the championship :(

Goor, Kuijt and Kalou were their best and consistent players all season. Kuijt and Kalou probably on their way out and Goor wants to leave because Simons didn't come over from Brugge. Hell, Goor might as well join PSV (as a replacement of van Bommel/Vogel) now that Simons is signing with PSV (H)
