From the all the sollicitants I was the first who had the privilege to play with Cody(PSVFOREVER).

We'll use this thread to report about our online gaming.

First off we had soms problems as Cody tried to find a working around
for the 5.0.5(check your pm, Ruud). Eventually I decided to install my FM game on an other PC then I usually play on and installed only 5.0.2 there.
After we had both chosen clubs we got started(Cody-Middlesbrough Max-Liverpool)
I leave the details from Cody's matches to himself
I lost to NK Dinamo(1-0) and we played piss poor. Then I had to play Sparta Prague rather good result 1-1. After that we went to play Colchester a good victory should await us there. We had by far the most chances and finally the long awaited opener was there good cross Riise good finishing Garcia. But then Riise tackled a Colchester player in the box. PK was scored:1-1. Even though after that we still had good chanches we couldn't find a winner. 1-1 was the dissappointing result.

Anyway, I won the first battle between me and Max, we both wanted Bierofka, but he chose me (H) Mainly because I offered more wages I think (H)

Well yesterday we continued the network game.
After my bad run of form I now wanted a win which didn't came in the friendly against Derby; dissappointing 1-1. But then Liverpool founded the winning mood with a 3-0 victory over Chesterfield and after that 4-0 against Anderlecht in the Amsterdam Tournament semi final. Then in the final match against Stuttgart I was again superior and in fact we should've scored more then 2 but the final result was: 1-2.
Then the real games begun as we went to Kopenhagen for the CL Quals against, surprisingly, FC Kobenhavn; 1-1 normally always good in an away match but I feel we should've had more. The league started well for me too, 3-0 against Villa and 3-1 against Porthsmouth.

Max will say it was undeserved, dont listen to him (H) He did have double shots, and a lot of hus best players injured, but I wouldve won anyway (H) nah, he was unlucky, but also very stupid not to assign physio's.

We were better and we would certainly be better if I'd had: Hyypia, Riise, Alonso, Garcia and the list goes on.
The fecking pile of **** of a psychio just hadn't got the slightest idea of what he was doing at Liverpool.

It's my power to score from set pieces and as I said before earlier I was better 20-7 shots just like last time.

Well, well, at last we can kick this thread out of the dust. Althought this time it's not 'EPL gaming but Ligue 1 actually.
As you may or may not have noticed, me and Cody have been trying to get an online game running and yesterday night we finally suceeded in doing so. So we got a game underway in, as said before, France. We only just started the game which ended in the provisional climax, a friendly between our two clubs, Rennes(Cody) vs Lille(Max), which Cody won 2-1 in the last minute lucky bastard. :kader:

the league has started:

matchday 1:
Rennes (my team) had to start vs. Strasbourg. The first half was a very bad one. My halftime speech worked out well though. Frei immediatly scored 1-0. Later on he scored 2-0. I won deserved.

Lille (Max' team) played Paris SG at home in their first match. Paris SG dominated the entire game. It ended 0-3. I dont think Max wants to talk about that match anymore.

matchday 2:

Difficult away games for both teams:

Rennes had to play Bordeaux away. We started terrible. After 3 minutes Darcheville scored 1-0. Just before halftime a Bordeaux defender got sent off. That turned the tables. I was the better team in the 2nd half. We scored the 1-1, and late in the game, Jimmy Briand scored 1-2.

Lille had to play Monaco away. Max got outplayed all the match (he said shots was 17-3 for Monaco) But after Monaco scored 1-0, Lille managed to score 2 goals: 1-2

matchday 3:
Rennes-Ajaccio 1-1

I played terrible, 1-1 was a deserved result.

Cant remember who Max played :( He won though

matchday 4:
Troyes-Rennes 1-1
I dominated the entire match, but the match ended in a draw. I had 3 or 4 open chances.

Bordeaux-Lille 1-2
Lille scored twice, late in the game Darcheville scored 1-2, but they werent able to equalise.

matchday 5:
Rennes-Sochaux 2-0
I had to play half a b-team, because of 10 (!) injuries. Kallstrom scored a beautiful free kick. Just before halftime my central defender Adailton got sent off. I managed to keep my lead, due to a defensive tactic and time wasting. A counterattack was finished off by Utaka: 2-0

Lille-Ajaccio 0-0
After I wasnt able to win vs. Ajaccio, now Max didnt win either.

matchday 6:
My match vs. St. Ettiene was moved to another date.

Troyes-Lille 2-3
Lille started off great, they took a 0-2 lead and the game seemed to be over. The 2nd half was dull, until late in the game. Sebastien Grax scored twice: in the 82nd and 83rd minute: 2-2. Lille got the win they deserved though, by scoring in the 89th minute: 2-3

The league table is close: Max has 13 points from 6 matches. I am one position behind him. I have gathered 11 points in 5 matches.

That is awesome!

I hope your game is an inspiration for other members that want to do this.

Yeah, I'd like to know that too. I did what's in the FAQ with opening the ports, but it's still not working. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :(

Well I can't help you much as my dad did some fancy stuff to get it to work. I have to say though that I couldn't connect to Cody's computer when he hosted, but he was able to connect to my computer when I hosted. :S

Oh, ok. I've been trying to host a game since CM4 now, and still no luck. Im starting to get desperate here! :( Ask your dad! :D :p

Today we've continued our game again, after I wasnt able to play the last few days. Here's how it went:


Max: (Lille)
Lille-Sochaux 0-1
Lille-Arsenal 2-2 (late equaliser by Touré for Arsenal)
St. Ettiene-Lille 3-3 (late St. Ettiene equaliser, but they dominated)
Lille-Le Mans 5-1 (Max' first victory in september, and a very impressive one, especially as Le Mans is in the subtop of France in our game)

Cody (me, Rennes):
Le Mans-Rennes 1-1 (I dominated, had 17 shots, they had 5 or so, but scored a late penalty)
Grasshoppers-Rennes 1-4 (UEFA cup first round first leg, I dominated the game, Fauvergue, my targetman scored a hattrick)
Nantes-Rennes 0-4 (Nantes dominated the entire first half (shots were 10-1 to Nantes at that moment) but I brought in Utaka. He was hell for Nantes, first he gave a brilliant assist: 0-1 After that he was tackles by the goalkeeper: red and a penalty: 0-2 After that he was tackled twice again, 2 penalties made it 0-4)
Rennes-Nice 0-1 (I was soooooo much better than them, it wasnt even funny, but they scored just before halftime, my first loss in charge of Rennes)

Haha, yeah that was ace. BTW Bodmer was close to doing something like that aswell He scored 2 pen kicks in the Le Mans match.

Max could easily get sucked in a relegation battle. Cody, keep hold of Frei.

Frei is a sucky player so far, only 3 goals in 14 matches or so (he's my topscorer with that amount :( together with some other players) He's injured now for 2 months.

Max shouldnt complain about injuries though (H) In the start of the season I had 10 long term injuries, then it got less, now I've got 10 injuries again... 5 of them are first team players. And I use the same trainingschedule as I normally do (without having any problems)

Than again I could be fighting for CL-spot aswell, it's still open although the title seems (for both of us) too far away.

Well we got the time to play a little further.

After I won vs Slavia Prague I also won in the coupe de la ligue as I beat St. Etienne in the last with a scored pen kick. I was pretty pleased as we fighted ourselves back into the match in the second half, coming back from 1-0 behind. Cody lost pretty ashamefully to Bastia(8th in ligue 2) with 3-2 in the final minutes and it wasn't really undeserved either.

We both played in Europe ofcourse aswell. Despite of Lille having the better of the game we came 2-0 behind vs Slavia Prague away, we managed to turn it around to a 2-2 but still it was very dissappointin. Still I'm holding a good position in the group. Second with 5 points, Villareal is 3rd with 4 points, that's gonna be an exciting race. Cody also did well in Europe, sneaking a point out vs Sporting with an equalizer by topscorer Fauverque(a player I loaned out to him). The next match for Rennes in the UEFA Cup was vs Sampdoria at home, tough opponent that. And despite not performing well in the first half, Rennes did in the second half and got a very good win: 1-0. This makes Cody's team first in the group.

In the ligue our misery continued. Cody lost 3-1 to Lyon as I drew relegation battler Nancy: 1-1. The next saturday I played vs Toulouse away, who were surprisingly 9th. The key moment in this match was the sending off of Toulouse defender Aubey and the free kick that was the result was drivin in by Dernis. Even though Toulouse were still fighting for it, I won for the first time in about two months in the ligue.

This resulted in the following table at 5th november. Please note Cody still has 4 matches to catch up with.

Both our transferbudgets were raised too (Y) To about 15m euros. I already assured the signing of Pisculischi. 650k euros. I lack creativity up front (and goalscoring ability)

More signings on the way I can say. (if we continue playing like we do though, we will be sacked before january 1st...)

Rennes-Lille:

We both weren't exactly in a good form.

I had 3 points from 5 games, Max had maybe a bit more, but not much. Morales were down for both. We were close to relegation places, but also close to a uefa-cup spot. It's THAT close.

I lost my last game 2-0 against Marseille. But I recently won in the UEFA-cup 0-4 vs. PAOK Saloniki, which secured me of the next round. To make it worse: star player Kallstrom was injured.

Max lost his last game 1-0 against Lyon. He didnt have any good form either.

Max started of great. A cross from the rightside was headed in by Bodmer: 0-1. Ouaddou (my DC) and Isaksson (my GK) didnt look very well.

Lille looked to push through and got a 2nd big chance from a freekick after about 10 minutes.

After that Rennes (me) took control over the game. I quickly scored the equaliser. A great pass from Gourcuff was finished off by Fauvergue (who I loaned from Lille)....but it was offside. Score remains 0-1.

I kept attacking though, and Mvuemba found Fauvergue after about 20 minutes. This time it wasn't offside and Fauvergue scored a nice goal: 1-1.

After that the match dropped to a remarkable low level. I only got a few chances and Lille wasn't dangerous anymore. I got only 1 good chance: a nice cross by Gourcuff was headed in by Mvuemba. Sylva saved with ease though.

Final score 1-1

After this we both played home matches:

Lille-Lens 1-1
Lille was better, but came behind. They equalised from a freekick and maybe deserved more. They were lucky though, in injurytime Sylva saved a penalty.

Rennes-Paris SG 1-0
PSG was unbeaten for 10 matches and was leading the league table. I was totally outclassed during the whole game. Shots were 5 for me, 22 for Paris SG. I scored a sneaky goal in the injurytime of the first half though: Kallstrom 1-0. I kept hold off this lead, thanks to Isaksson, he played great.

Im now above Max! 2 points I think. And I have a game in hand

In addition I'd like to say I bought in the January transfer window(together with the already mentioned: Poujol, Mokoena and Hilbert) Kenneth Vermeer and managed to sign Torghelle on a bosman move. While Cody added next to Huntelaar, Krancjar and Pisculichi also Handanovic who will join Rennes in July aswell on a free.

Oh and the fans of Lille are becoming unsatisfied, this already resulted into me applying unsuccesfully for the free Marseille job. :)
