View Full Version : Man Utd v Chelsea [P + R]
Bobby 10-05-2005, 04:39:AM Dirty C*nts v Filthy Asses
The Toilet
Tuesday, 10 May
Kick-off: 2000 BST
Man Utd (from): Howard, Carroll, G Neville, P Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Silvestre, O'Shea, Fletcher, Fortune, Ronaldo, Kleberson, Keane, Scholes, Giggs, Miller, Van Nistelrooy, Smith, Rooney, Saha, Bellion.
Chelsea (from): Cech, Cudicini, Makelele, Terry, Johnson, Gallas, Carvalho, Robben, Gudjohnsen, Drogba, Smertin, Tiago, Lampard, Cole, Forssell, Kezman, Jarosik, Geremi, Huth, Duff.
If Chelsea get a result, Rooney beats woman, it will hand Arsenal 2nd place.
A win for Chelsea and they will better Manchester United's mark of 28 wins in a 38-game season, Ronaldo is gay, while two more points will see them eclipse United's all-time Premiership record haul of 92 - which was set in a 42-match season in 1993-94.
Ruud van Nistelrooy will lead the line for Manchester United against Chelsea as he has returned from Kentucky.
If Frank Lampard starts it will maintain his unbroken run of Premiership appearances which could reach 145 at Old Trafford.
Chelsea: In defence, Kezman is terrible, they must let in less than three goals at Old Trafford and against Newcastle at St James' Park on Sunday to beat Arsenal's record of 17 goals conceded, the fewest in a Premiership campaign.

PhiLLer 10-05-2005, 10:59:AM I won't be able to watch the match since I'll be in Cologne to see Jack Johnson, why did they have to play on a tuesday. The match should've been on a wednesday dammit! I'll watch the highlights when I get back...
I think we'll beat Chelsea.
I really couldn't care less.
This game is at 4am or 5am my time, I ain't going to watch it because meh. The result of the game is academic, it doesn't matter. Chelsea will finish 1st, Manchester United will finish 3rd. The only record I care about is being the Champions of 2004/05 which we are.
Oh and for the record, we will win 2-0.
eassam 10-05-2005, 01:04:PM u wish u will win we will win tonight!

Virgo 10-05-2005, 08:21:PM who was the twat that said Tiago sucked again?
Stotty 10-05-2005, 08:22:PM I'm not saying he sucks.....but how does one strike prove someone doesn't suck?
ladylover 10-05-2005, 08:24:PM I'm not saying he sucks.....but how does one strike prove someone doesn't suck?
Good point
night 10-05-2005, 08:25:PM I think Carroll should've saved Tiago's shot..
Virgo 10-05-2005, 08:25:PM whoever said he sucks didn't base his opinion on facts either. Maybe this brilliant goal will change his mind. He hasn't been brilliant this season but he's been very underrated.
Ricardo Carvalho just showed why he's world class on that tackle on Ruud
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 08:29:PM Yellow for Keane.Nice tackle it was. (H)
Sheringham10, i don't know if he would have saved it, but he should have at least try to do so, not just stand there.
RuiCosta_10 10-05-2005, 08:30:PM I think Carroll should've saved Tiago's shot..
Sorry, but that comment is way to dumb.
He's not Super-Man you know?
BTW, Tiago is not in his best shape, i believe it is because of the groin injury that he had at Benfica that is still making effect. But he's a great player, just need to be better fisically and you'll all see that he's very good.
BTW, amazing the way Carvalho just took off the ball from Ruud.
night 10-05-2005, 08:31:PM Donno am watching an average quality stream (RTS2), it looked as if he could've saved it but he just stood there.. oh well
any link for the stream....? :p :)
Virgo 10-05-2005, 08:35:PM Joe Cole almost scored

Half time.. :)
Virgo 10-05-2005, 08:43:PM Carvalho with his studs showing on Ruud. :nape:
he went for the ball and got the ball you pussy, don't see you complaining about Keane's tackle.
fender 10-05-2005, 08:44:PM Tiago's goal was an absolute cracker.
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 08:46:PM For those who can't watch it on TV, try this program, http://www.coolstreaming.org , download the program and open it.After you open it, open Windows Media Player, choose 'espn' from the coolstreaming list click on the 'espn' link, first the stream will be buffering a lot but after 5 or so minutes it will be with good quality.
night 10-05-2005, 08:47:PM he went for the ball and got the ball you pussy
You'll just never give up on defending Carvalho.. he is a dirty player, be realistic
Vagegast 10-05-2005, 08:48:PM who was the twat that said Tiago sucked again? :ewan:
(H)
Virgo 10-05-2005, 08:54:PM You'll just never give up on defending Carvalho.. he is a dirty player, be realistic
he's not but so what if he was. Don't you praise Roy Keane's dirtyness on a daily basis? Or are you just hypocrit to the point you can't even reckon that fact.
Perles 10-05-2005, 08:56:PM ooooh snap
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 08:58:PM Hehe, as Vagegast said in the other thread Tiago wouldnt be there if Mourinho wouldnt be with Chelsea but then again, knowing how much Roman knows about football all the players that Chelsea have bought this season are there because of Mourinho.
night 10-05-2005, 09:00:PM he's not but so what if he was. Don't you praise Roy Keane's dirtyness on a daily basis? Or are you just hypocrit to the point you can't even reckon that fact.
The point was that the fact that Carvalho is Portuguese somehow blinds you from seeing that he's a dirty player.. and no I don't praise dirty players in general..
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:02:PM For those who can't watch it on TV, try this program, http://www.coolstreaming.org , .
Thanks!
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:09:PM WOW......Nice strike Wayne!
MaSsiVe 10-05-2005, 09:11:PM Another absolute cracker, this time by Fletcher!
Too bad it only hit the bar..
This match is going past my expectations, very nice to watch indeed :jap:
night 10-05-2005, 09:14:PM meh.. 1-2 now :(
Stotty 10-05-2005, 09:14:PM 2-1 :( Gudjohnson
Ronaldo dive, lost the ball, down the other end and scored :(
RuiCosta_10 10-05-2005, 09:15:PM Beautiful goal!
Great assitance of Tiago and amazing finish of Eidur!
Beauuuuutiful! (H)
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:15:PM What a ****ed up goal
MaSsiVe 10-05-2005, 09:16:PM What a ball from Tiago providing a beautiful finish by Eidur.
Tiago must be shutting some mouths today :ewan:
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:18:PM Not really. One good performance doesn't mean he's good. He'll be replaced in the summer, Chelsea aren't buing Essien to replace Lampard or Makalele their getting rid of Tiago.
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:20:PM United are falling apart.....I can't wait til next season...this one has been ridiculous!
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 09:20:PM Our defence looks like **** :(
RuiCosta_10 10-05-2005, 09:23:PM Not really. One good performance doesn't mean he's good. He'll be replaced in the summer, Chelsea aren't buing Essien to replace Lampard or Makalele their getting rid of Tiago.
Nah, you guys don't know him, Mourinho does, and he knows that if he's 100% fit he's a great player, Tiago is on his way to full recovery and he's still young, i believe he will stay and make a very good season next year.
Vagegast 10-05-2005, 09:23:PM What a ball from Tiago providing a beautiful finish by Eidur.
Tiago must be shutting some mouths today :ewan:Only if you're foolish enough to judge a player by one game.
RuiCosta_10 10-05-2005, 09:28:PM Only if you're foolish enough to judge a player by one game.
Unlike you and most of people here he saw Tiago performance during two/three years, so he knows what he's talking.
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:29:PM If hes so good why are Chelsea trying to buy a world class midfielder? They obviously want better. Essien will not be played in a squad rotation roll.
Virgo 10-05-2005, 09:31:PM because they need a playmaker you twat not a replacement for Tiago
they were linked with Xavi too and I bet you that's the kind of player they'll buy
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:33:PM because they need a playmaker you twat not a replacement for Tiago
so their gonna replace Lampard? :nape:
They will play this system-
----------Essien------Makalele------Lampard---------
----Robben--------------------------------Duff------
Oh shizzle my nizzle all those players are 10x better than Tiago.
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 09:35:PM Hush hush Dreath, Essien is coming to United :(
i wish
Stotty 10-05-2005, 09:35:PM 3-1 :nape: Cole maybe ?
Virgo 10-05-2005, 09:36:PM Mourinho doesn't play the same formation every game, he oftens plays just Makelele as the only DM. Tiago is mainly a defensive player.
Anyways 3 - 1 offside goal
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:36:PM dammit Man Utd suck. You lot better not play well in teh FA cup final.
night 10-05-2005, 09:36:PM 1-3 Cole.. He was definately offside :|
Parasol 10-05-2005, 09:38:PM man utd is now 20 points from chelsea :nape: who would though on that difference at the beggining of the season?! :o
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:39:PM Mourinho doesn't play the same formation every game, he oftens plays just Makelele as the only DM. Tiago is mainly a defensive player.
Anyways 3 - 1 offside goal
Yes he does. Every game this season he's played that formation, bar injury of course.
three in the middle and two on the wings.
Vagegast 10-05-2005, 09:39:PM Unlike you and most of people here he saw Tiago performance during two/three years, so he knows what he's talking.Uhm, I don't think MaSsiVe was talking about himself. He said "Tiago must be shutting some mouths today." But only people foolish enough to judge a player by one game would change their mind on Tiago.
As for MaSsiVe knowing more on Tiago, that's true. But since he's Portugese he's likely to be biased so I take his opinion with a grain of salt. Stop being so defensive and do the same thing with my opinion. I don't get pissed when people call van Nistelrooy overrated. Get over yourself.
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:39:PM Offside yes, but Carroll sux....he barely tried...even if he thought it might be offside he should have stopped it...we need a GK.....we need more but a GK would be a start!
Andrejs 10-05-2005, 09:39:PM Haha, two men in offside and the linesman was busy mastrubating over Tiago :(
MaSsiVe 10-05-2005, 09:45:PM Only if you're foolish enough to judge a player by one game.
Man I've seen him play since he was still in Braga, it's better for you to shut the f'ck up instead of saying dumb sh't about me.
Most of you guys, yes, speak about him judging only by this season, how ironic :hump:
And I'm no football expert but I can assure you all that Tiago will stay with Chelsea next season.
You'll see :ewan:
10Ruud 10-05-2005, 09:46:PM FIRE FERGIE!!! :kader:
ladylover 10-05-2005, 09:47:PM It is going to take a lot to beat Chelsea, they didn't even break a sweat to score those goals, true champions IMO, they deserve it. Their defence is superb, it only makes me jealous, I hope SAF makes some good changes for next season, we really need it....
Virgo 10-05-2005, 09:47:PM Yes he does. Every game this season he's played that formation, bar injury of course.
three in the middle and two on the wings.
he plays another defensive midfielder (which is Tiago most of the times) or another attacking midfielder to partner Lampard (Joe Cole).
Check your stuff, that's what he played in the last game vs Arsenal.
tracertong 10-05-2005, 09:48:PM Manutd your a fooking embarrasement , at least Arsenal give Chelsea a good game , looking forward to kicking your asses in the FA Cup. You deserve nothing.
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:49:PM he plays another defensive midfielder (which is Tiago most of the times) or another attacking midfielder to partner Lampard (Joe Cole).
Check your stuff, that's what he played in the last game vs Arsenal.
No... Joe Cole plays Left wing, Duff right wing with three in the middle. He's played like that ALL season.

dude... check it and stfu please, he played 442 in that game and he oftens plays it.
Filipower 10-05-2005, 09:52:PM man, chelsea are just to good....it's gonna take at least another season for english teams to adapt to mourinho....the man is g-e-n-i-u-s. maybe in a couple of seasons the premiership will be close once again..
and you're hearing it from an arsenal fan...(although a very proud-of-jose-portuguese-football-fan:p:p:ewan: )
MaSsiVe 10-05-2005, 09:52:PM As for MaSsiVe knowing more on Tiago, that's true. But since he's Portugese he's likely to be biased so I take his opinion with a grain of salt.
Why should my opinion be biased about Tiago, I speak about players whether they are portuguese or not, and my opinion is based only on a player's skills, not nationality.
I was speaking before about those mouths being shut, because a goal like that should convince anyone that he can't be as bad as some say (H)
tracertong 10-05-2005, 09:54:PM Statistics:
Man Utd - Chelsea

Those stats mean nothing my friend , you played like chumps and those chances you had were at best half chances.
Dreath 10-05-2005, 09:54:PM dude... check it and stfu please, he played 442 in that game and he oftens plays it.
I can't be arsed to argue. I think Tiago is a good player, but he's replaceable. I also believe that Chelsea have not played with two strikers up front this year.
fender 10-05-2005, 09:54:PM Sigh, how disappointing.
Graham Poll headbutting Ronaldo was funny though. :(
Fernandez 10-05-2005, 09:54:PM Crap performance from the players after taking the lead. Chelsea deserved to win and Rio, after the second goal, you don't deserve your demands.
ladylover 10-05-2005, 09:55:PM dude... check it and stfu please, he played 442 in that game and he oftens plays it.
I thought Mourinho played a 4-3-3 system, with Robben and Duff on the wings when attacking and then changing to to 4-5-1 in defence, Lampard the most attacking midfielder, Tiago in between defence and attack, and Makelele all defence. He uses almost the same system as van Gaal's succesfull Ajax
night 10-05-2005, 09:56:PM man, chelsea are just to good....it's gonna take at least another season for english teams to adapt to mourinho....the man is g-e-n-i-u-s. maybe in a couple of seasons the premiership will be close once again..
True, but he's not unstoppable.. We've seen Newcastle Utd knocking his side out of the FA Cup while Liverpool knocked them out of the CL..

EXACTLY!
night 10-05-2005, 09:58:PM Those stats mean nothing my friend , you played like chumps and those chances you had were at best half chances.
Not really, some of them were good.. Fletcher hitting the crossbar, Rooney's good effort, Scholes coming very close etc.. what are you on?
Filipower 10-05-2005, 09:59:PM eer...you sure read my post when i said 'the premiership'
Fernandez 10-05-2005, 09:59:PM True, but he's not unstoppable.. We've seen Newcastle Utd knocking his side out of the FA Cup while Liverpool knocked them out of the CL..
We could have beaten them if we defended like Liverpool. Sigh :nape: How disappointing for the fans.
Payaah 10-05-2005, 10:01:PM True, but he's not unstoppable.. We've seen Newcastle Utd knocking his side out of the FA Cup while Liverpool knocked them out of the CL..
Haha Newcastle, that game he messed up, like 3 of his players got injured.
night 10-05-2005, 10:01:PM eer...you sure read my post when i said 'the premiership'
Yeah i know, but my point was that Chelsea got beaten by premiership teams but in different competions..
EXACTLY!
We play the 4-4-2 alot of the time also, saying we only play a 4-3-3 is a bit neive because our tactic changes all the time.
We play the 4-4-2 alot when out team sits back and lets the opponents play infront of us. We played a 4-4-2 against Barcelona with Gudjohnsen and Kezman upfront.
Drvar 10-05-2005, 10:03:PM well, Chelsea deserved the win. by the way, i realised why United has so many shots on goal, its because Rooney and Ronaldo fire away at every chance they get from 30m :).
Filipower 10-05-2005, 10:03:PM ok...you win..happy? oh wait...you lost.
Dreath 10-05-2005, 10:08:PM We play the 4-4-2 alot of the time also, saying we only play a 4-3-3 is a bit neive because our tactic changes all the time.
We play the 4-4-2 alot when out team sits back and lets the opponents play infront of us. We played a 4-4-2 against Barcelona with Gudjohnsen and Kezman upfront.
So why do you usually start with 1 striker and 5 midfielders?
Vagegast 10-05-2005, 10:10:PM Man I've seen him play since he was still in Braga,What's your point? You're still biased. it's better for you to shut the f'ck up instead of saying dumb sh't about me.http://www.worldcupjapankorea.com/photo_gallery/group/d/USA_soccer_obriengoal.jpg
Most of you guys, yes, speak about him judging only by this season, how ironic :hump:Yeah, because that's the only season I've seen him play. And I'm no football expertClearly.but I can assure you all that Tiago will stay with Chelsea next season. You'll see :ewan:Yes, because of Jose Mourinho.
night 10-05-2005, 10:12:PM Haha :D
Anyway, I just want the season to be over already :( I really hope we'll produce a good performance in the FA Cup and win it..

*looks for pictures of Portugal spanking Holland on several occasions* :ewan:
ladylover 10-05-2005, 10:20:PM I have a feeling that we will bounce back in the FA Cup final, today they had a similar reaction, but Tiago's goal was to much of a shock, which they never recovered from,
Vinnie Jones 10-05-2005, 10:23:PM Why did you post that pic? Arenīt you an afghan who roots for Holland? Why donīt you post pics of the euro2004 semi final? Oh of course you wonīt, your team lost 2-1. Well you could post another pic then, of Holland in the World Cup 2002. Ah you canīt because Portugal was the main responsible for Holland not being able to qualify. So easy to win in Rotterdam. It was easy as this Chelsea victory with a Tiago goal.
Virgo 10-05-2005, 10:28:PM let's not hijack the thread please :p
MaSsiVe 10-05-2005, 10:30:PM Wow Vagegast, that was awesome. Especially that pic that has nothing to do with the discussion.
What's your point? You're still biased.
My point was that I surely have seen his evolution as a player, a thing that even with you saying that you have done too, I don't believe you actually did.
Yeah, because that's the only season I've seen him play.
Bullseye.
Clearly
, or else I'd be coaching Chelsea.
Yes, because of Jose Mourinho.
I thought he was the coach
:ewan:
Chelsea have only lost four times at Old Trafford in 37 years (30 matches), with a record of 12 wins, 14 draws and 4 defeats.

Vagegast 10-05-2005, 11:31:PM Why did you post that pic?Because of the quote. Look at the quote corresponding with the picture. I wouldn't have posted it if he hadn't said. I know it gets you guys fired up. That's why I posted it.Ah you canīt because Portugal was the main responsible for Holland not being able to qualify. So easy to win in Rotterdam. As if finished 3rd in a group with South Korea, the U.S. and Poland is something to write about (H) We didn't qualify for the first time since 1986. Vagegast 11-05-2005, 01:31:AM I didnīt brag about our performance in the world cup. I bragged about beating Holland in Rotterdam and preventing Holland from qualifying. Itīs completely different.Yeah, congratulations on 3-year old achievement. As if outsmarting van Gaal is so hard. Please.
Vinnie Jones 11-05-2005, 02:03:AM You were the one posting pics from Wc2002. I also mentioned last yearīs semi final. That is surely still fresh in your memory. And yes you are right it is easy to outsmart Van Gaal but it isnīt as easy as outsmarting someone who constantly changes his arguments according to his convinience. Usa, Holland perhaps now you can eludicate us about Afghanistanīs football achievements. This is like an immigration osmose process. You only pick the good aspects that allow you to act like a little bully. It isnīt impressive and has no credibility.
Nice result for Chelsea. I had no idea they had such great results at Old Trafford these past years...
Tiago is a really really good player, but he's not at its best phisically, and this is just his first season. He always made a lot of assists and scored an average of 15 goals/season in Benfica (many from outside the box with both feet). Besides that, he's still very young.
About some people saying he's not good, maybe you should trust who actually saw him playing for several seasons. Actually, he joined Chelsea but had offers from great clubs like Barcelona so he wasn't like a Mourinho's bet. He already was followed by some of the bigger european teams.
Portuguese defend portuguese players when they're good, and we know Tiago is one of them. Luckly we're having some great players lately,in our league... Or do you think is luck to get 3 times in a row to a UEFA competition final, plus European Championship? Maybe Tiago is a very good player as portuguese say he is. And wait to see Manuel Fernandes or João Moutinho...
But we already get used to it...people telling that our players suck and then become idols in their teams..so....
newbie original 11-05-2005, 02:23:AM Miserable game for United. I thought that Terry' s absence wud have had a larger impact on United' s ability to move forward and penetrate but it didn' t. Chelsea didn't seem to do as much attacking as they are capable of, but they countered brilliantly. Their midfield was awesome. I would have liked to see Ryan Giggs on the left and Ronaldo on the right since the kid doesn' t seem very comfortable on the LW. I agree that Rooney should be playing alongside RVN...Ruud was not supplied enough. I expected them to go all out in front of their fans for the last time this season .... they did a reasonable job but again...I am really surprised that Chelsea' s defence held as strong as it did w/o Terry. Expected more from the richest club in the world. Very impressed with Chelsea..they underlined the changing tides in English football !
Vagegast 11-05-2005, 03:04:AM You were the one posting pics from Wc2002.Than how is Portugal's performance at THAT World Cup "completely different." If you're gonna mention Holland's failure to qualify, than it IS relevant for me to argue that Portugal sucked. You got pissed at that picture. End of story. Why won't you admit that?
Seriously, what a load of horsecrap. Oh... Figo is a cheat, Ronaldo belongs at a circus and Divo belongs on the diving team. How is that for credibility?
santino 11-05-2005, 04:17:AM saw the highlights, beautiful goal by Tiago, what a shot :jap:
where can i get the highlights?
eassam 11-05-2005, 08:29:AM we got robbed!
No, you got owned.
Shutup.
So why do you usually start with 1 striker and 5 midfielders?
Because the manager picks them?
Because we play two wide wingers in a 4-3-3, however thats not to say we don't play a 4-4-2. Many a time we have done that.
Seriously you counting Eidur as a midfielder or striker also? Because he has been dropping back alot.
Nakamura 11-05-2005, 11:33:AM That "Portuguese don't recognize the flaws of Portuguese players" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!
Do you hear us saying Ricardo (Sporting's GK) is great? Do you hear us saying that Abel Xavier, Boa Morte, Vidigal, etc, are great players? No, you don't. Simply because this hasn't anything to do with their nationality. There are several Portuguese (or from any other country) players that are indeed great or very good, but obviously many many more that simply suck.
We don't say they are good because they are Portuguese, get it? It's because we REALLY think they are good. And since we actually know the Portuguese league and see the games every week, unlike you, we obviously know much more than you the qualities of a player, in this case Tiago. Whether they end up suceeding or not is a totally different story and it doesn't mean a player lack quality, there are many factors involved as for instance the adaptation to another country.
Anyway, I think Tiago is doing quite well at Chelsea. Sure, he hasn't been outstanding and those of us who know him for several years can clearly see he isn't at his best. He's also not a "flashy" kind of player, but instead a very intelligent and efficient "box-to-box" midfielder.
::shinji:: 11-05-2005, 12:58:PM That "Portuguese don't recognize the flaws of Portuguese players" is the dumbest thing I've ever heard!
Kind of an unfair generalization based on the opinions of only a few people..oh well, this isn't exactly the most reasonable and mature forum out there so it comes with the territory.. I certainly have negative opinions about a lot of Portuguese players...to me, Paulo Ferreira is nothing special, Quaresma has a trick or two but generally sucks, and I won't even get started on Ricardo...you could dedicate an entire thread to how he's an amatuerish GK...
Anyways, I'm a fan of Tiago myself.. It was sad to see him leave Benfica, he was a lot more influential there ofcourse, but his discretion at Chelsea is to be expected given the competition. He has a lot to offer though and will continue to show more quality the longer he plays in the EPL I think. He's got great vision, wins a lot of balls in midfield and distributes the ball well to the offence. I don't agree that he's at Chelsea only because Mourinho is there, obviously he had some influence in bringing him to that club, but just before signing with Chelsea clubs like Barcelona and Juventus were trying to add him to their rosters. He was en route for a bigger club regardless..
Not gonna get into the "remember when we owned you in..." and "you sucked at..." crap, I'll leave that to you fellas on the playground. :)
[dfm] 11-05-2005, 12:58:PM I didn't have the opportunity of watch this game... highlights anyone?
Hendrik 11-05-2005, 01:47:PM Huth did a very solid job at center back, this position suits him much better than RB.
Vinnie Jones 11-05-2005, 02:02:PM You got pissed at that picture. End of story. Why won't you admit that?
I didnīt get pissed, i couldnīt care less about your opinion or your childish atempts to wind up ppl, i just asked what did that pic have to do with the subject in question. Seems to me that you were the one who got pissed (that last paragraph of yours is a good example) by my accurate analysis of your behaviour.
Btw i donīt wanna hijack this thread so iīm done wasting my time with you.
Shinji, if you think that Tiago is better or made a better season than Paulo Ferreira, then you are clearly biased. Paulo Ferreira has much more influence in the Chelsea team. Go to any Chelsea forum and compare the impact that both made. You will see that they are clearly more satisfied with Paulo Ferreiraīs performances. About Quaresma, in terms of raw talent, Quaresma is great player, the problem is his mentality and inconsistency. Tiago is just a useful squad player, who will be used in rotation basis, if Mourinho buys a world class midfielder. There are far more important players in Chelseaīs midfield than Tiago.
[dfm] 11-05-2005, 02:56:PM I just saw the resume of the game about one hour ago, great goal by Tiago!
solaimaa 11-05-2005, 04:01:PM seemed a bit lucky though..
anyways, good job chelsea..
xiaoarc 11-05-2005, 04:17:PM We were poor..congrats to Chelsea, worthy champions indeed..;)
::shinji:: 11-05-2005, 04:28:PM Huth did a very solid job at center back, this position suits him much better than RB.
it's funny how Huth has become almost a cult figure at Chelsea, hehe.. In a way it's too bad because Benfica is going to need a CB to replace Luisao at the end of the season, and given our good relationship with Chelsea I had actually thought a Huth move to Benfica was possible (especially in a trade with Manuel Fernandes), doubt it now though..
VanTheMan 11-05-2005, 06:31:PM i am ashamed to see man utd be beaten in such a ridiculous manner.
and another thing is that almost all decisions go against united. The third goal was offside and if it did not count we could have got something from the game.
but hats off to chelsea and jose who beat us even with half their full strength squad.
worthy champions.
i just read some posts which say that "LET THIS SEASON END.The NEXT ONE WILL BE GOOD"
this is what we said last time.the club needs changes.
we need to sell off some crap players wh haven't helped in any cause
fortune
bellion
saha
kleberson
miller
with the funds we can buy a good player.
we need some flair like the times of cantona.
Essien has to be the top of list candidate.
but i can foresee chelsea snatching him from our noses yet again :boohoo:
if such happens we can say bye bye to success for next 2-3 seasons cause chelsea are starting to grow.
a good winger who can cross and provide ruud is needed.
ronaldo is still learning.we need a massive signing.
sometimes the way the club acts pisses me off.
but being a united fan forever,i am sure that if our team remaind injury free next season and we have a good PRESEASON then we can rise back up
FIFAfreak 11-05-2005, 06:36:PM Congrats to Chelsea on breaking ManUre's Premiership points record... couldn't have ended the season with a stronger statement than to do it at ManUre's stadium on their final home game. The look on Fergies face... priceless.

Mikey 11-05-2005, 07:00:PM to me, Paulo Ferreira is nothing special
I always thought this, but hearing it from someone who's Portuguese is great to hear (Y).
Hendrik 11-05-2005, 07:06:PM I rate him as the best RB in the world at least based on his performances last season. He was ******* class at Porto.
::shinji:: 11-05-2005, 07:33:PM well, I could go on about how superior Miguel is compared to Ferriera at RB, but then I'll get swarmed by the Porto faithful... c'mon, I'll take all you motherf*ckers on!! :taz:
Punkt 11-05-2005, 07:36:PM Paulo Ferreira is overrated. Miguel is better and you saw that on euro2004.
TheBlueBalla 11-05-2005, 07:38:PM Ahh, didnt get to follow the game, but of course im "well chuffed" at the result. I cant believe the record at OT that Rob posted. Incredible, given the decade of United's domination as a force in England. One thing id like to comment on, though, is the respect shown by the United players at the beginning. That "honor guard" was classy to no end, and i hope that when chelsea are knocked off, they do the same. (Y) Somehow, I really didnt expect it.
Oh, and Tiago? Whoooaaa.... It looks like the team is going to pick up a bigtime midfielder, but hes been outstanding this season most of the time, as a true box-to-box guy and he has played the role well. I hope hes going nowhere.
INFESTA 11-05-2005, 08:18:PM I always thought this, but hearing it from someone who's Portuguese is great to hear (Y).
Yeah, yeah, he just said that to point out later how superior Miguel is. :p :kader:
Well, both were plagued by injuries this season, so it's hard to judge. Miguel was in better form during the Euro2004, but Paulo has been more consistent throughout the last 2 seasons with Porto. The Benfica player is clearly better on the attacking end, but Paulo has the edge on defense.
Mind you, he's on a new club, in a different country. I expect him to shine at his full potential this season, if he's lucky enough to stay healthy.
Btw, I haven't see Tiago's goal. Anyone has it?
Funky--K 11-05-2005, 08:54:PM that Tiago goal was some alien s****
goal_machine84 12-05-2005, 09:52:AM watched the game....and i am more frustrated.
We start off well with the rvn goal and create some chances.Chelsea do the same and thought the score at half time was fair, though the Tiago shot was well....unbelievable.
But, wtf happens to utd in the second half? :nape: I mean, all season we have this problem of keeping this momentum going in the second half. That is why we lost the games this season in the league. Dunno wtf SAF says at half time but it sure didnt help the team. And i have to say Chelsea passed the ball better than us and split the utd defence like it wasnt there.
I am sure SAF will have some work to do before the FA final. So,hope to
"see the devil in them" on Sunday. Good luck (6) Saints
I rate him as the best RB in the world at least based on his performances last season. He was ******* class at Porto.
I second that...
