I'm a member of insider so i got to see the trailer in high quality. This game looks absolutely amazing! When zoomed out we probably won't be able to tell this from the real thing!! incredible graphics!!!!!!! :o

Road to teh World Cup ... sounds like 2 versions this year !!!... i like it that way tho becuase they see the probs in 06 and fifa 06 wc wont have the glitchs of road to the world cup

thanks for the screens shahab, not much differences YET graphic wise...except for the new "boots" and the Bayern kit, everything else is the same as it was. Looks like they've worked a liitle more on the career options by letting us set ticket prices and also pick our sponsors i guess. It's too early to critisize EA in any way!!hope that we will see something better in the upcoming days.

I have been informed that these are really old guys. At least 2-3 months behind where FIFA 06 is now. Apparently they have long sleeves in fifa this year...

But one thing i think is cool from these shots... Millennium stadium. yeah!

Yeah, hopefully the nets aren't like iron this year and actually are animated to resemble how a net truly reacts when a shot goes in.

Well all in all seeing how this is a PC version, the stadium looks great, the menu's look good too. but if these are old im pretty sure by now the game looks a whole lot better. But atleast this is a start.

Thats what I figured because that is poor quality, now if it was on a super comp with a nice big flat panel monitor then it would look amazing. Too bad I buy it for PS2 because on my comp the game would look awesome. Eh oh well. :)

I have some problems with these pictures:

* KIT: what about the away new kit of Man Utd (the new blue one) on the picture with Arsenal..

* Viera signed in Juventus (EA - you live in the past)..

* Another year with the EA boots marked..

* Same game graphic like Fifa 2004 and 2005..(CRAP !!! :kader: )

Other probs:

* EA - what about a new site of the upcoming new Fifa game ? like the great one of last title..

* Change the whole graphic (!!!!) today we have better graphic cards then last 2 years !

We all know in the screenshots that are published previously to the game launch, kits, players, etc, aren't updated at all. As it was posted before, those screens are quite old. Same happened last year when everyone was worried about Manchester United Home Kit.

That is true, they do the same thing EVERY SINGLE YEAR and yet people still complain. Even though its old its still something, but I just hope soon they release something newer maybe newer shots with upgraded grpahics or someones actually have a preview of the game, either way atleast we got sometihng so im happy now.

Just have to wait for more news and info.

On GameStar magazine (Germany) they confirm that the gameplay HAS been improved a lot. Now the tactics are richer, and we would be able to cover the ball better. Besides, with pressing one button we can move our teammates, a feature similar to the one on NBA Live series. Would this be FIFA 06 key feature? (something like "Control your whole team"), as Off The Ball was in FIFA 2004, or First Touch on 2005.

I think we can see here how can we cover the ball... (may look like FIFA 2005 but I suppose it works different):

As far as i know in FIFA 06 the boots didn't have the EA Sports circled logo :p Anyway... we are expecting more screenies, especially new ones ... 5 days til August :)

-not a big fan of controling other players on the pitch. wish they would get away from this and use the buttons for somthing else (unrealistic, unfair advantage against A.I.).

I will desagree on that one, cause controlling an other player, although confusing sometimes, leads to many alternative ways in penetration (we are talking football here, dont get the wrong idea) which makes the game far more interesting and less repeating.

I disagree with you, rather than letting us control two players at once which is IMO VERY difficult and I play FIFA constantly... they should just make the AI on our team smarter, if they made smarter runs at the right time we wouldnt have to take control of them and show them where they need to go. Agree?

I agree. When I play Winning Eleven 8 it is refreshing to see players make smart off-the-ball runs. It makes the whole experience that much more immersive. The other day I was playing with England: Owen had the ball and I noticed Beckham make a great diagonal run into the box where I was able to squeeze it in for a goal. I actually found myself saying "good run Becks!".

I like hitting L1 and telling them to make runs, I just wish I could tell them to stop!

How can you play defense against someone if the computer is ALL of the off the ball work? Takes the fun away, IMO.

Thats why I like my idea of AI training which I posted long ago. Kinda like virtual fighter 4's AI training, but with soccer players .

i hope the world cup 2006 game is the same format as the euro 2004 game. in euro 2004 u had the option of playing the real tournament (exact fixtures and teams etc. as the real-life tournament) or picking any european team and trying to guide them to victory from the qualifying stage.

Well is it a really a suprise to all of you? I mean they did come out with FIFA2002 and WC2002 so there going to do the same again, I thought thats what mostly everyone was expecting. Have the Usual Fifa game and then have a WC2006 with possible qualifications in it. Well either way i'll proably get both so no biggie to me.

The reason why I'm surprised is that during the Xbox 360 showing in Japan they introduced FIFA as "FIFA Road to the World Cup". Now it would seem strange to include the RTWC feature in the 360 version and not the current gen.

-October, fifa 2006 pc & current gen
-Jan 07 (or something, together with x360 launch) rtwc for pc, current & next gen, but ofcourse the main adds and press releases will be for x360, aka the introduction of the game in Japan

Yes but "completely" needs to be more specified...fifa 2005 for ps1 and ps2 might be considered completely different games too. We can speculate as much as we want but without any official info seems pointless imo.

Just watched all of the videos, the apart from the Diary, it looks like FIFA 05 with better graphics. I doubt it will compete with PES/WE yet. But I'll expect more from EA on the next-gen consoles, so they can change the lame old FIFA gameplay and give it a complete overhaul.

Well after viewing all this info I can honestly say that im very impressed but not suprised as too how much they are improving FIFA 06. I knew by waiting for a long time we would finally get some good solid info and knew that EA was working on something amazing that will blow our minds and to me after watching the first producer diary and those instructional videaos, I can honestly say thats its good to hear another voice and see a new producer. Even with all this info it seams like EA isnt going to really market ONE feature this year but market a bunch of them seeing how much has been improved.

Even though it is still early again im very impressed with what they showed us and I can honestly say that I can't wait for 2006 to come out. Keep it up EA and hope the great news just doesnt end today and we keep hearing about more and more improvments from now til release day.

I was skeptical at first but the download is extremely fast and it definately works. Don't screw around with windows media player that thing is stupid and you shouldnt have to keep updating codecs. DivX is perfect trust me

So I guess there IS two cluips of the XBox360 Fifa as well in the Diary. Looked VERY similiar set-up wise as Winning Eleven. The graphics were nice I'll say that but the pace was too fast and the overal look STILL looked scripted. Those two clips you can gather alot from,they're long enough to notice the differences in what we currently have out.

One thing I really like about 06 (from the videos) is that there is a Team Chemistry, like so many people have been requesting. This way, star-studded teams will have the highest ratings, but if they are not in sync with each other, they will not perform as well as they can. Example: Real Madrid.

It seems that they only have the Nike license for balls now. They don't have any cleats or jerseys which is weird. Who knows, maybe they will get the full license before the game is realeased.

Yeah those XBOX shots are old anyway. The new PC screenshots have (some) updated kits and new cleats and new balls, plus new transfers (Vieri to AC Milan, Viera to Juventus)

The IGn preview shows ALOT of gameplay of this game. the camera angle and way the plays move noew looks far more realistic.

Now IF they could ONLY get the shooting right cuz evrything else looks ripped from WE/PES which is a good thing :D

The new gameplay features certainly make things easier and more interesting, but when all is said and done FIFA Soccer 2006 feels like last year's game only slightly improved, though that's not a bad thing. Having tons of players and teams at your disposal as well as a bevy of cool modes makes for a quality soccer experience unless you bleed Winning Eleven 8, though after messing around with FIFA I think both games deserve a place in your home. Prepare to challenge the world when FIFA Soccer 2006 is released on September 28.

I think you are both misunderstanding eachother. FFC, the only in-game footage shown was FIFA 06 for current gen, not FIFA RTWC for next gen (The titles are different)

That's because it has the same graphics engine since Fifa 2003, which won't change until the next-gen version..so get used to it :D

Personally, i dont care if the graphics look the same, as long as the animations are realistic, and they dont run sideways when turning and such. And the most important thing. The gameplay. Make it fun, make it last long, like another soccer game i know, that i wont mention because of some certain what ever. Anyhow, let the game be fun, and not scripted and ugly. So far from the vidoes, i can say not bad.

What we're basically looking at here are two different games, not versions. RTWC 06 is made by EA Japan (Next-Gen), whereas the standard yearly release of FIFA (06, current-gen) is made by EA Cananda. It's not a case of one game having something the other doesn't. It's a case of one being a completely different game. This comes down to graphics, the gameplay, features,etc. RTWC will contain club teams, well I believe it will. FIFA 06 will contain national teams, but no World Cup qualifiers.

From what I have seen of RTWC 06 of the 360, it looks incredible, absolutely amazing graphics. I'd expect more on 360 in September. Expect RTWC 06 to be the 2nd wave of launch titles on the 16th November I believe.
