Hey All.

I still play FIFA 2005 pretty religiously and I must say I really do like the gameplay. Being a person who just plays Career Mode there are a few things that really bug me.

- Why can I not view the tables (standings) for other leagues? If I am in the Second division in England why can't I look at the first and see who might relegated, why can I look at the Spanish Primeria League table and see how star studded Madrid are doing?? It makes no sense to me.

- Top scorers. Seems like it would be an easy to thing to add. Have a Top Scorers option under Stats and have the ability to view your leagues top scorers (assists would be nice too) as well as other leagues. This would be a good way to scout scorers, etc..

- Scouting/Searching for players. This by far is the most annoying aspect of Career Mode. If I want to buy a player I have to look through each and every team to find someone who meets my criteria. Why cant there be a "Player Search" function, where you can search for:
Position: CB/RB/LB/CM/etc... Age: 17-21, 22-26, etc... Star Rating: <2, >2.5

These 3 simple things would make my career mode experience SO MUCH more enjoyable. Also, they should really record the announcers saying the team name of every team in the game. Really, it wouldnt take that long and would be much nicer than hear "home team, visitor team."

Having the teams logo on the banenrs in the crowd would be nice as well, instead of those hippie generic ones.

Ahhh.. had to get it off my chest, please EA games like Madden, NHL, etc.. have every kind of stat/stat tracking feature imaginable, and FIFA has nothing.

Oh yeah, when viewing a players bio it would be nice to be able to press the right trigger and see his actual stats for the past few seasons, even if it is just the seasons you have been playing.

These are all cool idea that I agree with.

One thing I can answer for you as I have asked EA this myself in the past, is your question about why you can't see results from other leagues in your career and keep an eye on the other tables.

It all evolves around loading times and game save files. As you know, when you play Career Mode the game already takes quite a long time to load files, save games and simulate matches. That is just simulating stuff from with in your league. If you wanted everything in the entire world of football to be simulated and saved it would honestly take 10 mins to simulate after each match.

I agree, it would be cool and I wish it was there too. But that is why its not, and I can kind of understand that. When next gen games do a big career mode I'd expect it, but not for the ps2 unfortunately.

Your other ideas are good and I'd be very surprised if they're not in FIFA 06. I know the Career Mode is going to be way more advanced this year with all the missing features from last year present plus heaps more cool stuff.

gr8 idea tdob (Y) specially the career stats for the player over the past few season's...that would be nice...but then as lior says about the loading times...i guess we will definately see all of this on the nxt-gen

i agree with your suggestion. EA just like to make "cool" interface instead of making "useful" interface :|
