Club Synopsis (Courtesy of Wikipedia.org):
Borussia Dortmund (full name Ballspiel-Verein Borussia 1909 e.V. Dortmund, often short BVB) is a German football team based in Dortmund. They play in the Bundesliga, and have achieved international success. The football department is the most famous of the club, but it also has a handball and table tennis department.
The club was founded on December 19, 1909 in a room of the pub Zum Wildschütz in Dortmund. The name Borussia (latin for Prussia) was adopted from the nearby Borussia brewery. Borussia Dortmund was the first German football team to be placed on the stock market in 2000. In 2005, the club is on the brink of insolvency.
The club has the largest stadium in the Bundesliga, the 82,678 capacity Westfalenstadion, named after the Nordrhein-Westfalen region where the club was established. Current famous players include Jan Koller, Tomas Rosicky, Ewerthon and Christoph Metzelder.
The arch rival of Borussia is FC Schalke 04 of nearby Gelsenkirchen.

becksfranksteve 27-05-2005, 03:36:PM i didn't even know that you guys got buckley !
Voltaic Borusse 27-05-2005, 03:57:PM We got Buckley for around $500,000.
Buy-out clauses rule.
good luck to borussia this term hopefully fighting for the championship
Thanks for the luck, but this new (young) team is nowhere near championship calibre.

Dennis Gentenaar (29) NEC Nijmegen --> BVB. :)
Goalkeeper.
Voltaic Borusse 27-05-2005, 04:47:PM Aye, Bernd Meier's transfer from LR Ahlen is currently at halt because of an injury.
Possible line-up for next season? Not much changing to do, though.

Pizarro14 27-05-2005, 04:51:PM I love this seasons BVB jersey i seen people wear it at bars looks nice and shiny. the new ones aren't that great the black in the middle kills the jersey. Btw Hows Metz doing after his injury and also I saw highlights (i know i'am late :p) but the GK u guys have is amazing is he from Germany? he should get a shot at the NT, that Mad Jens needs to go.
Voltaic Borusse 27-05-2005, 04:58:PM Btw Hows Metz doing after his injury
He's been ... exceptional. Granted, he was out injured for nearly a year and half. It's going to take Metze quite a while to regain back his full form. Once he's done that he'll be back to his brilliance.
As for Weiden, I regret talking smack about him. He's a totally different keeper as opposed to the one he was last year. I hope he keeps up this form for next season. We'll need those miracle saves from him.
adizlaja 27-05-2005, 10:07:PM Weidenfeller has been the best thing to happen to BVB this season!!! :lui: :lui: :lui:
Pizarro14 27-05-2005, 10:09:PM Weidenfeller has been the best thing to happen to BVB this season!!! :lui: :lui: :lui:
stupid question is he German or from what country is he from? has he ever been called up? :$
Jannes 27-05-2005, 10:10:PM He's German!
Pizarro14 27-05-2005, 10:12:PM He's German!
Why hasn't he been called up for the NT! or don't u think he isn't good enough from the schalke game it looks like he is a very good keeper or is it cuz he is inconsistent?
Hendrik 27-05-2005, 10:19:PM The gk position is where Germany always had many worldclass players, that hasn't change.
6 good months don't get you a call-up. Lemon played well before joining Arsenal over a long period of time. He's not a crap keeper now either and he looked good in his last nt appearences.

Van Marwijk: contract exceeded until 2007
[28.05.] Borussia Dortmund keep up their successful coach: Bert van Marwijk´s contract has been exceeded in advance until June 30th, 2007. Especially BVB´s fantastic second legs series resulted in the extension. 53-year old van Marwijk had been hired in 2004.
bild
Stays until 2007: head coach Bert van Marwijk
"We´re very glad about the agreement which was tied without any hazards", chairman Dr. Rauball stated. "He´s got best professional and human skills. Additionally, he identifies best with Borussia Dortmund". "We´re glad our head coach acts in accordance to our recapitalisation concept", manager Watzke commented.
"Working with Bert means mutual confidence. I´m glad he stays for another two years. This is a proof of continuity", sports director Michael Zorc gave away. The coach himself shows up a high contentment as well: "I liked my work here best, also in bad times. My brilliant terms with the management, the team and the incredible supporters led me to an easy decision", van Marwijk said.
Same as the head coach, co-trainer Dick Voorn exceeded his contract until 2007 as well.
:rockman: (Y)
and... oh well.
Addo signs with FSV Mainz. Till 2007. Goodbye. :ewan: :(
Lonestarr022 30-05-2005, 06:11:PM Dortmund finished the season well, thye didnt have a good start, or middle, but they look on the rigth track, I assume they will be in the Intertoto Cup
Do you ppl think Rosicky & Koller will leave?
I think they will, Rosicky iI'm sure wants to go to a bigger club, and the signing of Buckley makes Koller moveable.
Where do you think they will go?
adizlaja 30-05-2005, 08:27:PM Rosicky is a question mark.
Koller is def. staying. How does the Buckley signing make him moveable? It makes Ewerthon moveable, not Koller. Plus Buckley has tons to prove in order to take over Koller. Hell he has to prove at least something to even take over Ewerthon who sucks big donkey balls.
adizlaja 30-05-2005, 08:28:PM oh BTW... Frings suck the big one!
Voltaic Borusse 31-05-2005, 01:02:PM Koller plays CF, Lonestarrr, with Ewerthon and Buckley/Smolarek as offensive foward wingers. By the way, Koller is IRRAPLACABLE. The guy is like wine, he gets better with age, and he rarely ever gets injured despite have huge knees.
Look at his goal statistics:
01-02: 11 Goals, 32 Games (6 Goals, 14 Games; Champions League/UEFA Cup)
02-03: 13 Goals, 34 Games (8 Goals, 12 Games; Champions League)
03-04: 16 Goals, 32 Games
04-05: 15 Goals, 30 Games
Hendrik 31-05-2005, 02:01:PM Amoroso did most of the scoring in the first season after Koller's arrival.
Voltaic Borusse 31-05-2005, 07:41:PM Borussia Dortmund Poll: http://borussia-dortmund.lycos.de/?%84%95S%1B%E7%F4%9D
Who is your Borussia Player of the Season?
· Roman Weidenfeller -- 48%
· Bert van Marwijk -- 14%
· Florian Kringe -- 7%
· Sebastian Kehl -- 7%
· Lars Ricken -- 4%
· Jan Koller -- 3%
· Rosicky -- 3%
· Marc-André Kruska -- 2%
· Christoph Metzelder -- 2%
· Ebi Smolarek -- 1%
· Dede -- 1%
· Christian Wörns -- 0%
· Markus Brzenska -- 0%
· Ewerthon -- 0%
I voted Weidenfeller, even though he only started for half of the games. Kringe would be #2.
Vagegast 31-05-2005, 09:06:PM How come you guys like van Marwijk so much? :(
adizlaja 31-05-2005, 10:10:PM Cause 90% of the coaches nowadays would have quit if put in his shoes during the first part of the season. He was determined to get his system into the players heads, and once he achived that the team started winning. He had to get the Sammer tactics/bull**** out of everyones mind and that was a hard thing to do. Especially with stubborn players like Ewerthon/Ricken.
Weidenfeller is hands down the player of the season. I would put Kringe/Koller/Smolarek all as 2.

Jan Koller inspired Czech Republic to a thumping 6-1 win over Macedonia.
Czech Republic secured their second thumping victory inside a week as Jan Koller inspired a 6-1 demolition of Macedonia, but they remain a point behind Holland after their victory in Finland.
After slamming eight past Andorra on Saturday, the Czechs dealt out another hammering to Macedonia in Teplice.
Borussia Dortmund marksman Koller was the destructive force in the match, with the towering hit-man grabbing four goals.
Macedonia were given a 14th-minute lead thanks to Goran Pandev, and looked like going in at half time 1-0 up.
However, Koller had other ideas and his devastating blast started three minutes before the interval and further goals on 45, 49 and 53 minutes demolished the visitors.
A stunned Macedonia suddenly found themselves 4-1 down in the space of 11 minutes either side of the break.
Tomas Rosicky added a fifth from the penalty spot and Milan Baros got in on the act with a sixth two minutes before the end.
Czech Republic 6 - 1 Macedonia
· Jan Koller (42)
· Jan Koller (45)
· Jan Koller (49)
· Jan Koller (53)
· Tomas Rosicky (74)
· Milan Baros (88)
djperthglory 09-06-2005, 01:07:AM u dotrmund fans must be loving this result. as for me being macedonian this result is really demoralising. u guys must be excited about jans continuos form.
adizlaja 09-06-2005, 09:31:AM 5/6 goals from Dortmund players... not bad. :ewan:
Its like christmas all over again when someone posts in this thread! :lui:
Deisler 09-06-2005, 04:31:PM Ewerthon still playing? :-puke:
Good hope he plays against Bayern.
adizlaja 09-06-2005, 06:49:PM Rosicky is linked with Lyon... No reason for him to go there.
Voltaic Borusse 10-06-2005, 07:58:AM I'm tired of the on-going Rosicky talks. I wish the board would sell him already.
Ewerthon still playing? :-puke:
Good hope he plays against Bayern.
I already know how Ewerthon is going to score against you when the new season gets underway.
One of your guys will foolishly play a cross ball at the half-way line, only for Ewerthon to nick the miscued cross ball and sprint foward 40 some-odd yards -- stuffing the ball in the back of the net.
Sound familiar?
adizlaja 12-06-2005, 10:01:PM Dortmund picked up 16 year old Michael Witzel of VfL Osnabrück. He is "supposed" to be one of the biggest youth talents in Germany. He was already on trials at Barca. He probably wont turn out into anything special, but I still like this move a lot. MvB might actually give him a chance!
adizlaja 12-06-2005, 10:03:PM Something interesting...
Barcelona keen on German whiz-kid
-----------------------------------------------------------
Barcelona are considering signing German teenager Michael Witzel.
The 15 year-old midfielder is tied to VfL Osnabruek and impressed Barca coaching staff during recent trials.
Witzel cannot move to Barca until he is 17, but admitted: "I am calm about it. I know I can go there if I continue to work hard. Barca is one of the best clubs in the world."
He added: "The Barca coaches liked the way I played. But they told me to eat more so I can build myself up!"
adizlaja 27-06-2005, 08:58:AM Had to bump this bad boy up...
Training starts on the 28th... the Czech boys begin on the 4th or so b/c of national duty rest. The new players will begin for real on the 1st.
Dortmund 2nd fixture of the season is against Schalke... so the derby is soon!

Hendrik 30-06-2005, 05:13:PM I envy you guys how easily Dortmund gets rid of crap player. Demel to Hamburg, Madouni to Leverkusen wow :(
Voltaic Borusse 30-06-2005, 05:44:PM Yeah, it's the only logical thing to do right now, eh. Get rid of crappy, high-waged players and promote young and hungry players from the lower ranks.
Strange move for Leverkusen, though. They can't be that desperate for a defender, or lack there-of I should say. Evanilson is on his way to Wolfsburg, too.
Virgo 30-06-2005, 06:14:PM so how do you guys feel about the imminent Dede transfer to Benfica?
Jannes 30-06-2005, 06:25:PM I heard in a German Board that Dortmund agreed with Benfica... but only in one Board. So i dont think this will be Happen.
Virgo 30-06-2005, 06:45:PM well I heard Dede himself saying on Tv he had agreed the deal with Benfica and the deal with Dortmund was just stuck by small details.
Jannes 30-06-2005, 07:17:PM they pay us many mones. ;) :D
Virgo 30-06-2005, 07:49:PM actually you owe him 6 months of wages plus prizes.
there's speculation that he might cancel his contract if Dortmund asks too much money.
Voltaic Borusse 30-06-2005, 08:34:PM Why do I sense another Amoroso case in the works?
Do you know how much we're getting for the transfer? This is the first I've heard of this. If he does go, there's going to be a massive gap on the entire left side of the field. Sheesh.
Virgo 30-06-2005, 08:39:PM hasn't been revealed but it's less than 10m€ for sure.
adizlaja 30-06-2005, 08:47:PM Dede isnt going anywhere. This is just a bunch of idiot Portuguese reporters making stuff up.
If Dede and Benefica are talking without BVB's permission... then they should both get sued and fined. Seems like Benefica is using Chelsea/Bayern tactics with Dede.
I dont know why I'm wasting my time, but Dede is staying with Dortmund. Unless 20 million are put on the table.... :ewan:
Ewerthon said he'd like to fulfill his contract. That just isnt satisfying enough to me, because his contract runs till June 2006. Dortmund, please sell his ass.
adizlaja 30-06-2005, 08:48:PM hasn't been revealed but it's less than 10m€ for sure.
Double or nothing! :chew:
Hendrik 30-06-2005, 10:50:PM If Dede and Benefica are talking without BVB's permission... then they should both get sued and fined. .
Clubs can talk to any player they want, the EPL rules do not apply here.
I read Dortmund are interested in Stephan Kling, a 24 year old HSV reject. He's a LB.
RuiCosta_10 30-06-2005, 10:56:PM Dede isnt going anywhere. This is just a bunch of idiot Portuguese reporters making stuff up.

It's not Benefica, it's Benfica, and yes, we have to many idiot reporters, but the one who said that exists a deal was Dedé himself, that neither is a reporter nor Portuguese.
Anyway, i don't believe we will get him also, he's not a priority, like i said before, i believe we would only get him if he was on a free transfer (wich i highly doubt).
Hendrik 30-06-2005, 11:12:PM Dortmund are not letting one of their most valuable players go on a free transfer. Unlike Rosicky or Ewerthon he is important for the team.

dude I don't know where do you come from, but over here in Europe workers can cancel their contracts unilaterally if they aren't getting payed. Do people work for free over there?
what are the opinions on Ebi?
and what of Bert?
adizlaja 01-07-2005, 02:32:AM Dortmund hasnt payed him 6 months in wages? Haha! Where do you get that **** from? Is this from portuguese newspapers? :lui:
Ebi has been great. He was a big reason why the team played well in the 2nd half of the season.
Bert has had a hard time after Sammer left. He is a great coach and has shown it in the 2nd half of the season.
Dede wants to join Benfica, he already said that... As a Benfica fan I would love it, he seems a great player.
But...
I don't like the way this transfer is being done, it's not fair for Dortmund, and I always think 'don't do to the others what you don't want others do to you'. Dede wants to play for Benfica, it's quite understandable but he signed his contract few months ago and the football players (specially brazilians ones) have to learn to fulfill what they sign. I'm tired of clubs not having any way to defend themselfs from their players will. I mean, they pay $$$ for them, they're paid for above other professions and they just act like little kids. And the clubs can't do anything against their will. The choice is : get a few money and sell a good player or keep the player against his will, dismotivated and causing problems. That's not the way it should be.
Dede already has a pre-deal with Benfica if we can agree terms with Dortmund, and he's trying to pressure the board to sell him for a lower amount. From what I know he's always been very professional, and was ok to get his wage cutted 2 years ago, so Dortmund should give him this oportunity. But, of course, also getting a good deal of it. I would say something about 3.5M to 5M. 20M nowadays is a joke. Only Chelsea makes that kind of offers. I mean, Miguel is being followed by Inter, Juventus, Valencia... He's young, UE citizen, Portugal's RB, we don't want to sell him,we don't NEED the money..and we're being offered 7M.
Deisler 01-07-2005, 05:12:AM plus prizes.
Prizes? You don't actually get prizes for making it to the Intertoto cup.
Even BVB is not that stupid.
Hendrik 01-07-2005, 12:42:PM Players get money for wins on regular matchdays.
I mean, Miguel is being followed by Inter, Juventus, Valencia... He's young, UE citizen, Portugal's RB, we don't want to sell him,we don't NEED the money..and we're being offered 7M.
7 M for Dede sounds like a fair deal to me as well. He's 27, got an EU passport, not in Brazil's nt because the coach is a moron when it comes to choose the right defense, Dortmund don't want to sell him and don't NEED the money (they're financially save for the next couple of years).
I can be wrong, but I'm almost sure Dede doesn't got a UE passport yet. And, from what is said, Borussia is not very good financially.
Voltaic Borusse 01-07-2005, 01:11:PM A deal was struck with Dortmund and its creditors a couple of months ago, we're currently stable -- for now. That's not to say we're not still in deep debt, though. And like Vince already said, we don't need to sell Dede, or any of our other player[s] (Metzelder, Rosicky, whoever).
We're not a whole-sale club. We don't need to bend over for anyone.
Hendrik 01-07-2005, 01:18:PM I was wrong about the EU passport. However he can acquire a German pass if needed.
He needs to stay in Germany another season to get a EU passport. Lets see what happens.. I think it will be very difficult to get him, but today we're after Saviola..so you never know.
Yossarian 01-07-2005, 02:59:PM Can you guys give me a scouting report on Dede, please?
Voltaic Borusse 01-07-2005, 03:51:PM Strengths:
Dede usually operates in a left wing-back role, on a position many expects think he’s second to none in the Bundesliga. He is good on the ball, has strong tackling abilities and is difficult to knock off the ball. His close dribbling skills and technical abilities also enable him to play in a more central role. Dede is a great passer of the ball with a fantastic vision, but he can also score goals from just about anywhere.
Last Season Statistics with Dede:
· Dede was the player with the most touches on the ball (on average 74 per game)
· BVB won 13 of 23 matches with Dede – and only 3 of 11 without him
· Dede set up five goals in the last season – more than ever before
· Dede only made 23 appearances, fewer than ever before with BVB
· He won 61 percent of the tackles, and came up second his this department after Stuttgart’s Soldo
· Dede not only convinced defensively: He won 61 percent of his dribblings, and so is one of the league’s finest dribblers
- - -
That's Dede in a nutshell.
Yossarian 01-07-2005, 04:04:PM Wow....a very detailed and informative analysis, bro. Really appreciate it.
http://sab.ucsc.edu/thumbsup/thumb.jpg
Btw, is he comporable to Gilberto? (the one that just participated in the conf' cup), or Trabelsi, even though he plays on the right.....that sort of fullback?
adizlaja 08-07-2005, 07:08:PM Ewerthon is gone!! He was sold to Real Zaragoza for 3 or so million I believe.
Good move... now I wonder if the money will be used for new players or financial aid.
Voltaic Borusse 08-07-2005, 09:44:PM If the move does go through, good luck to him in Spain. He's a quality player, he just needs some tweaking in some departments: finishing, selfishness, complaining.
Hendrik 08-07-2005, 09:50:PM I guess this'd be Dortmund's last sale. I think they did a good job, although they lost some quality the team chemistry will be much better.
adizlaja 08-07-2005, 10:57:PM Ewerthon was not gonna start next season.
Ewerthon not starting = Complaining mother****er who kills Chemistry like Vince said.
Buckley - Koller - Smolarek... looks good.
If injuries hit, we are done.

WTF?! :D
Voltaic Borusse 09-07-2005, 12:14:AM Oh yeah, I just found out an interesting factoid: Philipp Degen (our new RB) was recommended to Dortmund by the one and only, Chapuisat. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Jannes 09-07-2005, 07:06:AM IMO was Ewerthon bad in the last games... so good move (Y) Ebi is much better :D
adizlaja 09-07-2005, 09:40:AM Yeah I heard that about Chapuisat as well... thats awesome.
I hope Degen turns out good. Buckley looks solid as hell.
I hope we invest the money into new players if we can afford to.
Voltaic Borusse 10-07-2005, 07:32:PM Borussia Dortmund - Galatasaray Istambul 0:1 (0:0)
BVB: Weidenfeller - Degen, Wörns, Metzelder, Dede - Kruska - Rosicky, Kringe - Smolarek, Koller, Buckley.
Galatasray: Ercetin - Ucar, Ayhan, Stepjan, Turan - Sanoglu, Haslpolath, Arslan, Aksoy - Sukür, Ates.
Not good.
Anyone have a match report (in English)?
adizlaja 10-07-2005, 08:21:PM EVen though the match didnt mean ****... this isnt good. Only starter missing is Kehl. There is still a month to get it together so no worries I guess.
Hendrik 10-07-2005, 10:03:PM Your Intertoto Cup campaign starts next weeks so you better get your sh*t together.
These friendlies don't mean much, all the teams are working on the condition at the moment, most players are simply tired.
Voltaic Borusse 10-07-2005, 10:27:PM Screw the Intertoto. There's real heavy competition this year (Marseille, Newcastle, Deportivo, Valencia, etc) as opposed to last year. I can't see us winning one of the finals anyway, let alone even progressing to one of the finals. We'll probably get kicked out by a scrub team like last year, too.
Third Round Draw:
Lazio (Italy) v Tampere United (Finland)
Young Boys (Switz) v Marseille (France)
Leiria (Portugal) v Hamburg (Germany)
Gent (Belgium) v Valencia (Spain)
Egaleo (Greece) v Zalgiris Vilnius (Lithuania)
Dortmund (Germany) v Sigma (Czech R)
Roda (Netherlands) v Liberec (Czech R)
Cluj (Romania) v St.Etienne (France)
Deportivo (Spain) v Koprivnica (Croatia)
Gothenburg (Sweden) v Wolfsburg (Germany)
Varteks (Croatia) v Lens (France)
Hendrik 10-07-2005, 10:29:PM The other leagues start their season a few weeks later, Dortmund should be in good shape come the final games.
adizlaja 10-07-2005, 10:31:PM It will be tough.... and Dortmund never wins these types of tournaments. We will lose to one of the crappier teams.
But perhaps... :chew:
Deisler 10-07-2005, 10:40:PM Your Intertoto Cup campaign starts next weeks so you better get your sh*t together.
  Competition of their lifes.
I feel for Borusse man.
I also think they would do the stupidiest thing if they play the starting 11 in this competittion, a waste even BVB can't have.
Hendrik 10-07-2005, 11:24:PM I wouldn't laugh about it. Intertoto Cup could be an easy route to the Uefa Cup.
I heard that Dortmund has to pay 700.000 to their sponsor e-on if they fail to qualify.
adizlaja 10-07-2005, 11:31:PM I wouldn't laugh about it. Intertoto Cup could be an easy route to the Uefa Cup.
I heard that Dortmund has to pay 700.000 to their sponsor e-on if they fail to qualify.
Didnt hear anything about that. So that would mean 700,000 would not be given to Dortmund that E-ON owes them since EON pays BVB not the other way around.
Hendrik 11-07-2005, 02:09:AM Nah not the other around. Dortmund has to pay 700,000 back to e-on, it's got something to do with last season's contracts.
Dortmund has not confirmed this yet.
Voltaic Borusse 11-07-2005, 03:26:PM Dortmund could face Hamburg in the semi-final
http://www.uefa.com/competitions/IntertotoCup/news/Kind=1/newsId=315923.html
It basicly goes like this:
3rd Round: Dortmund v Sigma
Semi-Final: Dortmund v Leiria / Hamburg
Final: Dortmund v Gent / Valencia / Roda / Liberec
adizlaja 11-07-2005, 07:29:PM Thats tough...
The thing about e-on is true... so Dortmund must try their best.
adizlaja 14-07-2005, 06:46:AM Keeper Handed New BVB Deal
by Chris Ives - created on 13 Jul 2005
Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has signed a three-year extension to his current contract at the Westfalenstadion.
The 24-year-old former Kaiserslautern custodian replaced French rival Guillaume Warmuz between the posts during last season and played a crucial role in the Schwarz-Gelben's meteoric rise up the Bundesliga after Christmas.
Weidenfeller has now put pen-to-paper on a new deal keeping him at BVB until June 2009.
The club will be hoping that his decision will set a trend within the squad with negotiations with other key players such as Jan Koller, Sebastian Kehl and Christian Worns about to begin.
Oh Baby!! I love it! :rockman: :lui:

Hendrik 15-07-2005, 08:27:PM Sucks that the strongest German teams will probably face each other in the semis. I would've prefered either Hamburg or Dortmund to play Wolfsburg.
Voltaic Borusse 15-07-2005, 08:39:PM Sucks that the strongest German teams will probably face each other in the semis. I would've prefered either Hamburg or Dortmund to play Wolfsburg.
Same here. I hope Hamburg lose to Leiria for Dortmund's sake, though.
I'm not discounting Leiria's strength, but I would feel more comfortable playing them than Hamburg.
adizlaja 15-07-2005, 09:10:PM Jensen was sold to Fulham. Not sure what the amount is.
Also, Rosicky is being a little bitch about the Ewerthon sale. He said now that they sold him they wont be able to finish 3rd.
Hendrik 15-07-2005, 10:45:PM 3rd? Schnitzel is on crack. (H)
Voltaic Borusse 15-07-2005, 11:44:PM Well, we did finish 5 points away from 3rd, but it is unlikely that we will ever finish 3rd, sure. I have my sights on 5th place this coming term.

Vagegast 15-07-2005, 11:51:PM I feel for Bert :$:(
adizlaja 16-07-2005, 12:12:AM What exactly do you feel for him? This isnt exactly the worst situation a coach could be in. Trap has a worse situation in Stuttgart... This year will prove how good of a coach he is. He has a team that is definantly capable of finishing 5th. If we finish below 10 he just isnt that good afterall.
Vagegast 16-07-2005, 12:18:AM I feel for any coach who has to let go off twelve players because of the club's stupidity.
becksfranksteve 16-07-2005, 12:34:AM i like dortmud but no way its gonna be 3-0 more like 2-1
Hendrik 16-07-2005, 12:48:AM You kidding me? Olomouc are an above mediocre team in the Czech league I doubt they've ever played in front of 55,000 fans (to be expected tomorrow).
adizlaja 16-07-2005, 02:27:AM I feel for any coach who has to let go off twelve players because of the club's stupidity.
What 12 players are we talking about?
Also, Dortmund should win 6-0 tomorrow... but obviously they wont for some reason.
Voltaic Borusse 16-07-2005, 02:35:AM What 12 players are we talking about?
Madouni, Oliseh, Evanilson, Demel, Bergdolmo, Addo, Warmuz.
Basicly all of the dead weight players that should have been shown the door from the get-go. A couple of youth players were shown the door, too. Metzelder's younger brother and some Brazilian kid.
adizlaja 16-07-2005, 02:43:AM I thought he was talking about those "players." I figured however that no one would mention those nobodys around here. Demel is the only one that might have gotten some playing time if injury happened. All the others were just taking checks and nothing more. :nape:
Paulo Da Silva 16-07-2005, 05:23:AM aren't you guys sad to see ewerthon going?plus where did he go?
adizlaja 16-07-2005, 05:50:AM I'm kinda sad to see him go for two reasons.
1. He scored the Bundesliga title winning goal against Bremen.
2. He is still young.
Other than that I'm glad we sold him. He would have walked at the end of the season for free. He is very fast but thats about it. His finishing is bad and his other skills are poor too. On top of that he is a bitch to deal with. He pretended to be sick earlier last season so that he could miss a game. What kind of professional is that?
Now that I think about it. Mother **** that little Brazilian bitch.
Voltaic Borusse 16-07-2005, 06:13:AM EDIT: What Adizlaja said.
He's off to Real Zaragoza, by the way.
Hendrik 16-07-2005, 05:16:PM 1-1 Kringe, Koller og
*yawn* every year the same :nape:
Deisler 16-07-2005, 05:39:PM It's BVB what do you expect? :D
Voltaic Borusse 16-07-2005, 10:15:PM I can't say I'm not surprised by this scoreline, it's real f*cking pathetic.
We had most of the chances from what I read, but couldn't convert any of them as usual! No surprise there! I'm sure van Marwijk had his way with the team and raised absolute hell after the game, though. Sometimes it takes a bit of yelling, bitch-slapping, and extra training to get the team in check. Anyway, I'm not too perturbed about the scoreline. Deportivo, Hamburg, and Marseille didn't exactly light it up either (barring that, they still won their games).
adizlaja 22-07-2005, 09:45:PM The match will be streamed online tomorrow:
Attention BVB Fans!! Sportal.de is broadcasting the Sigma Olmouc v. Borussia Dortmund UI Cup match on Saturday at 7PM live and exclusive on Video-Stream.
Since no German channel is broadcasting this imporant and decisive BVB match on television, the fans can log on and catch this match live. After the disappointing 1-1 in the first leg, the Schwarz-Gelben have to be concerned about everything.
Olaf Jochmann, Vice President of IMG/TWI said: "We wre very proud to be able to present this match. For us, this is an important step into the future as a service provider and media partner. We hope that all football fans aware of it take advantage of this offer.
Hopefully we can win, but I feel that we will lose on PK's. :nape:
becksfranksteve 23-07-2005, 02:08:AM i told u guys it would be close but no one listened
Hendrik 23-07-2005, 02:15:AM Olomouc played like a third division team, at best. Dortmund like last season had problems making the game on homeground.
I still expect them to make it to the next round, they have to use their individual class.
Voltaic Borusse 23-07-2005, 07:03:AM I think the team is more calm and collective as a unit when they are away from home, honestly. Playing in front of 50,000-70,000 fans that expect the best and nothing but the best can be daunting and overwhelming at times (I'm talking about the young and new players who are completely foreign to this stuff). It's not easy being a Dortmund player nowadays, it's not easy filling in Kohler's or Chapuisat's boots. It's a tough load to take.
I'll go out on a limb and say 4-1 to us. Jan and Tomas are going to want to look good in front of their countrymen and women.
adizlaja 23-07-2005, 07:55:PM 0-0 one and out. ******* pathetic.
Koller once again missed a ******* sitter and cost us the game. At least he scored a goal. ****, BVB NEEDS to sell Koller right away. Get some money cause he isnt anything special. **** him up the ass.
Rosicky is a little vagina ass......god damn sell his ass too.
Kehl is the only ******* leader on this team and this is what happened when he didnt play. My god this team really blows. How can you not beat Sigma? Mother******* ****ty ass sigma? ****!
Hendrik 23-07-2005, 07:59:PM And who should replace Koller? (C)
adizlaja 23-07-2005, 08:03:PM Try playing with 2 strikers or try to buy someone cheap as a replacement... someone suggested Bobic, not a great solution but could help for 1 season.
Its about time Dortmund changes its tactics from crossing the ball to kollers head every ******* time. We need to start moving the ball around and you really cant do that with that big slow koller up top. We have to play a style that fits him, not the team and that isnt good.
Even without a replacement, we could be fine.. prolly 8-12.
adizlaja 23-07-2005, 08:05:PM How about Bayern loan us Santa Cruz... hehe it wouldnt happen... but it would be good for both teams.
Voltaic Borusse 23-07-2005, 08:20:PM Even if we get Bobic (who I don't want, because he's too old and sh*t), who would partner him? Surely not Buckley or Smolarek. Buckley tried playing as a striker at Bochum and failed miserably; he's too much of an all-out wing foward type-player. Same with Smolarek.
But, wow. Where's Ewerthon when you need him? I miss the asshole already.
adizlaja 23-07-2005, 08:23:PM I really dont know. We just cannot afford to lose Koller for nothing. If we can get 7-10 million for him, im sure we could get a solid young striker for 3-5 million. If our scouts can do a decent job.
Our right side defensively was raped today. Degen cant control his side, while Dede does excellent with his. This season we will die on conter attacks.
Voltaic Borusse 23-07-2005, 10:35:PM No club in their right mind is going to pay 7-10 million for a 33-year-old. It's just not going to happen. The most we would get is 2 million, maybe even less.
When his contract runs out next summer he'll either re-sign for an extra year or two and accept a wage cut (unlikely) or finish off his career back in his home country like he has said he wanted to do, before.
KLINSMANN 24-07-2005, 12:09:AM How about Bayern loan us Santa Cruz... hehe it wouldnt happen... but it would be good for both teams.
Haha, you guys wish! If Bayern DID loan Santa Cruz to BVB, I could so see him scoring the decisive goal against Bayern to give Dortmund the win.
Therefore, in order to avoid Bayern losing to Dortmund during the season, we KEEP Santa Cruz :jambo:
:ewan:
Hendrik 24-07-2005, 12:12:AM Bobic would probably play for less than €100.000 a year lol.
How about Bayern loan us Santa Cruz... hehe it wouldnt happen... but it would be good for both teams.
Nah, we need four semi decent strikers for three different Cups. ;)
btw. the Schalke fans are making fun of you...again... as long as they fail to beat another crap team in Europe.

Voltaic Borusse 24-07-2005, 03:54:AM They should be laughing at themselves. A bunch of chokers is what they are. When's the last time they won the Championship, any way? They'll never be good enough to lift it. They'll continue to choke year in and year out.
Anyway, Dortmund obviously isn't cut out for Europe yet.
Deisler 24-07-2005, 07:29:AM They chocke because there is Bayern up pront.... No one in the Bundesliga can compete with us. If we lose its not because of other teams can beat us but is because we are bored of always winning and winning and winning.
BVB is the other team that spends money, somehow is awfully managed. :nape:
Voltaic Borusse 24-07-2005, 07:40:AM They chocke because there is Bayern up pront.... No one in the Bundesliga can compete with us. If we lose its not because of other teams can beat us but is because we are bored of always winning and winning and winning.

Hey, if you're going to peck your muscles and flaunt your team's supirority and whatnot, do it in your own goddamn thread, kind sir. Thanks. And about the money mismanaging; yeah, nae fucking shit, you think I don't know this already? And yeah, we tried to be a European super power-house over night and it backfired.
adizlaja 24-07-2005, 08:24:AM 1. Degen was a mistake
2. **** Schalke
3. Schalke will be worse off than Dortmund come 3 years from now
4. They paid 6 or so million pounds for ******* Crouch... Koller is better than that tool.
Hendrik 24-07-2005, 12:43:PM Degen is a major upgrade over Evanilson. He needs time to adapt to the new team.
They chocke because there is Bayern up pront.... No one in the Bundesliga can compete with us. If we lose its not because of other teams can beat us but is because we are bored of always winning and winning and winning.
Bremen were better than us in 2004.
Voltaic Borusse 26-07-2005, 07:32:PM Any player is an upgrade over Evanilson and Demel.
DORTMUND LOOK AT VAN DER GUN (http://footballmsn.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=294451&CPID=22&CLID=&lid=9&title=Dortmund+look+at+van+der+Gun&channel=germany)
Cedric van der Gun has been given the opportunity to impress at Borussia Dortmund.
Van der Gun will feature in a pre-season friendly tournament that sees Dortmund face Alemannia Aachen and Celta Vigo.
Should he impress the Dortmund coach Bert van Marwijk, 26-year-old Van der Gun will complete a transfer to Germany after becoming surplus to requirements at Ajax.
The midfielder spent the last two seasons out on loan at ADO Den Haag and never could force his way back into the Ajax reckoning.
Now he is currently a free agent, having turned down a permanent offer from ADO.
Vagegast 26-07-2005, 07:35:PM I can definitely see Van der Gun at Dortmund but you'll need a bit of patience with him... he's yet to develop into a solid player. He played a decent amount of games at Ajax under Co Adriaanse but was unlucky enough to be injured when Koeman took over...
Voltaic Borusse 26-07-2005, 07:46:PM Thanks for the info.
Here's some extended info for anyone else interested (adizlaja): http://www.ajax-usa.com/news/2004-2005/goodbye-to-van-der-gun-as-ado-loan-deal-is-extended.html
adizlaja 26-07-2005, 10:19:PM Evanilson and Degen are pretty similar, they both like to attack and suck at defending. Degen doesnt have the "brazilian attitude" so he is a little better.
Thanks for the link about Gun :) Sounds like a player worthy of being given a chance. But you know the last player we got from Ajax? :ewan: Awful Borgedalemo is whatever the hell.
I hope this doesnt mean a Rosicky sale is coming up, we need to wait till after the WC. He plays much better for the Czechs and will raise his price.
Vagegast 26-07-2005, 11:10:PM We sold Bergdolmo since you guys were actually willing to pay for him (H)
Voltaic Borusse 27-07-2005, 07:53:AM Don't judge Degen so harshly, he's new and has only played a couple of games. He's young too, so he'll learn learn in time.
adizlaja 27-07-2005, 09:59:AM Yeah, I'm probably way overreacting... but its hard to be positive with the way this season has started.
Hendrik 27-07-2005, 10:31:PM Gosh Degen only played two games. :|
Hamburg beat Olomouc away by one goal to zero (beautiful goal by van der Vaart) in case you want to know.
adizlaja 27-07-2005, 10:39:PM I guess not playing in Uefa Cup is kinda good for us. We have a very thin squad and could not substain playing that many matches. Now we can focus on the bundesliga and the cup.
Voltaic Borusse 28-07-2005, 12:31:AM Hamburg beat Olomouc away by one goal to zero (beautiful goal by van der Vaart) in case you want to know.
If Hamburg played this game during mid-season this result would be lopsided as hell, same thing applies for Dortmund. UEFA should push back the Intertoto match dates further back or something.
adizlaja 03-08-2005, 07:43:PM I'm glad, but surprised as hell that we turned Arsenal's offer down. Should be a very good player in the future.
Borussia Dortmund have turned down a €3 million (£2 million) offer from Arsenal for midfield sensation Nuri Sahin.
The young Turk, aged just 16, recently helped his country to win the Under-17 European championships and is widely regarded as the most talented Bundesliga player of his generation.
He only joined Bert Van Marwijk’s professional squad this summer and became the Bundesliga’s youngest-ever player to star in Europe when he was used in Dortmund’s goalless InterToto Cup draw against Sigma Olomouc.
Sahin is expected to make his Bundesliga debut on Saturday when Dortmund kick off their season with a visit to Wolfsburg’s Volkswagen-Arena.
Van Marwijk has reportedly urged the financially struggling club to keep hold of the youngster, who has also been scouted by Chelsea and Manchester United.
"If we keep him, Nuri will give us plenty of joy in the future," stressed the Dutch coach.
Managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed that Arsenal have made a firm bid for the youngster, but were told that Sahin is not for sale at the moment.
"We could have cashed in €3 million from Arsenal for him, but Sahin is tied to us until 2009 and in a couple of years he is sure to be worth a lot more," Watzke told Sportbild.
Arsenal's scouting network is vast and they have had huge success in recent years snapping up youngsters such as Cesc Fabregas, Philippe Senderos, Gael Clichy and Arturo Lupoli, but this time they look to have failed in their bid to snatch Sahin.
Vagegast 04-08-2005, 05:50:AM Any news on my boy van der Gun? :(
adizlaja 04-08-2005, 07:41:PM He has been decent in practice, but not good enough to get a contract yet. They extended him another week to give him one more chance.
becksfranksteve 04-08-2005, 08:12:PM who are you guys playing first in the bundesliga ??
adizlaja 04-08-2005, 09:23:PM Wolfsburg on saturday... We should beat them, but we probably wont.

Hendrik 04-08-2005, 10:35:PM Yes but at least they got a round further than Dortmund. They sold Petrov who was a key player, let's put it like this: there are more entertaining games to look out for.
Voltaic Borusse 04-08-2005, 10:56:PM Who cares if they advanced a round further, at least we didn't get embarrassingly pile-drived [4-0] by some midtabled French team. Though, scoring for another team isn't the classiest thing to do, but still.

Jannes 04-08-2005, 11:22:PM Turkish. German/Turkish. He would play for the Turkish NT.

We need Kehl back!!! He is our TRUE leader and should get the captain band soon. :bouncy:
Hendrik 05-08-2005, 01:31:AM Metzelder was captain before his injuries. Why not just get back to him?
adizlaja 05-08-2005, 09:10:AM Because Kehl is the real deal. He put off ankle surgery last season so that he could help BVB get into the Uefa Cup. He plays with more emotion and is more captain-like material than CMetze. I trully believe that we would have beaten Sigma with Kehl in the lineup.

How did he play ?
Voltaic Borusse 06-08-2005, 11:30:PM Oh, another give-away in the dying minutes of the game. How predictable.
BVB starts with a draw - Smolarek and Koller score
[6.08.] The very first match of the new season ended up in a 2-2 draw in Wolfsburg which in the end was a loss of points to Borussia Dortmund who scored the lead minutes before the end but were not able to defend it. Smolarek and Koller hit the net to BVB, Klimovicz and Hofland to the Wolves.
23,368 witnessed a poor first half in Volkswagen Arena but a justified result in the end after an interesting and aggressive match. The first 30 minutes were dominated by the hosts, another 30 by BVB while the rest was quite balanced.
Initials:
Wolfsburg was one of the best home performers during last season while BVB's away efforts were unbeaten in 2005. Both of the two last matches in Wolfsburg ended in victories to Dortmund. Same as the hosts, BVB's intention was to make the supporters forge their recent poor UI-Cup performances.
Personnel:
Except Sebastian Kehl (lack of training after an ankle surgery), Bert van Marwijk was allowed to assign his best team. 16-year old Nuri Sahin celebrated his Bundesliga debut as youngest player of all times. The right wing position was filled with Florian Kringe instead of Marc-André Kruska. The only change in the Wolves' team was Tsikitshvili instead of Menseguez.
Tactics:
Sahin played Kehl's part in front of the defence row within the 4-3-3 system harmonising well with Degen, Metzelder, Wörns and Dede; Rosicky and Kringe were responsible for forward movement. Wolfsburg acted in a 4-4-2 row, Karhan and Thiam in the midfield and Tsikitshvili on the left. Director D'Alessandro had a lot of space when playing remote. His forward movement was often disturbed by solidly performing Sahin.
Analysis:
Heavy rain before the match turned the pitch into a field of soap which influenced Dortmund's play less than that of the Wolves, but for all that, BVB lacked of precision, safety and confidence despite of exemplary support from the stands provided by more than 7,000 away supporters.
But the first goal cry was reserved for the Greens: friend and foe missed a corner from D'Alessandro; Klimovicz used the confusion best by shooting the ball into the net exactly between Smolarek's leg and Weidenfeller's glove. A decisive mistake happened to Dede before when he did not find another way than making the ball pass the ground line.
Borussia woke up after half an hour when Rosicky started to accroach the match with Dede as a strong partner. Buckley, playing too hasty until then, initiated BVB's best chance by supplying Rosicky with a brilliant pass, but Koller failed to make use of it in the end (32.).
At least Dortmund kept up its pressure in second half, although their offence efforts did not succeed at first. Attempt conversion seems to be the most severe of the current problem, such as when Buckley missed the goal from an 11 meters distance (51.). Nevertheless he was involved in both goals by serving the assisting player: first Koller who passed the ball to scorer Smolarek (55.), then Rosicky whose cross gave way to Koller's header goal (81.). But Borussia's celebrations did not even last a minute: totally left alone Hofland found the goal with his head after a free kick by D'Alessandro. Afterwards there were attempts on both sides by Kringe and D'Alessandro, but in the end it remained a justified draw.
Preview:
Next Saturday, BVB hosts the derby with Schalke 04 which is completely sold out. Only buyers of new season tickets will have the chance to eventually be part of it.

Hendrik 12-08-2005, 09:32:AM Changed roles now. In the past Schalke always did quite well in the Westfalenstadion with an in inferior team.
I'm looking forward to this match, should be exciting as usual.
Voltaic Borusse 13-08-2005, 01:22:AM It's been pretty even-steven throughout the past 3 years. A win is vital, though. Normally, a draw would be sufficient enough for me given Schalke's super strength, but we drew last week, and we're at home this time around.

Bundesliga ready for Ruhr passion
Friday, 12 August 2005
By Mark Bennett
The derby between BV Borussia Dortmund and FC Schalke 04 will lure an 80,000 crowd to the Westfalenstadion on Saturday while FC Bayern München travel to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Changed circumstances
On two occasions each season the Ruhr Valley comes to a standstill when Dortmund and Schalke meet. Dortmund had managed to achieve a slight edge after floating the club on the stock market but recently things have changed. During the summer, cash-strapped Dortmund opted mainly for free transfers, while Schalke were spending €9m on strikers Kevin Kuranyi and Søren Larsen.
Rangnick determined
Despite the financial gap between the teams, Dortmund coach Bert van Marwijk is optimistic. "Matches between Dortmund and Schalke are always special and they can go either way," the Dutchman said. However, Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick will settle for nothing less than three points. "Another win against Dortmund would get us off to a perfect start," said Rangnick, whose side began the season with a 2-1 success against 1. FC Kaiserslautern last week.

adizlaja 15-08-2005, 10:34:PM Dortmund Extend Van Der Gun Trial 15/08/05
Former Ajax attacker Cedric van der Gun was pleased to hear that Borussia Dortmund were adding a week to his trial, giving the player time to round into shape before any decision.
"Especially in terms of fitness, its going better and better," Van der Gun told Haagsche Courant. "Through that I can show some footballing."
"I find it positive that I can stay for a while, they could also have said 'Let it be, this isn't going to work'."
adizlaja 17-08-2005, 09:20:PM Got this info from somewhere else:
some people on the westline forum claim that the van der Gun deal is done. 200,000 for the season, option for another season for the club (?). and apparently we are ready to loan out Odonkor. Freiburg seem to be interested.
here's some kicker stuff from earlier today that says it's "likely" that we sign van der Gun.
Seems kinda like Dortmund didnt want him to fail and signed him regardless.
adizlaja 17-08-2005, 09:24:PM Rumour:
Lyon is offering a piece of the Essien money to Dortmund for Rosicky. 20 million Euro is the amount I'm hearing. BVB doesnt seem too interested.
Voltaic Borusse 17-08-2005, 09:33:PM Loaning out Odonkor for a season or two would be the best for him, like I had said earlier in this thread. He has potential. As for Koller, he's going to take this next month to decide whether or not he'll extend his contract for a further year or two, or quit the club this summer. I personally wouldn't mind if he leaves or stays, but if he decides to leave this summer, an immediate replacement would obviously be needed.
Who do you think we could get as his replacement? I would have loved John Carew (now at Lyon) as Koller's replacement. I'm an admirer of him, he would have fit the bill perfectly.
adizlaja 17-08-2005, 09:53:PM If Koller leaves, I think it will be time to try playing without a huge striker. I dont know who we would get though
I think Koller is gonna leave us, I hope he signs a new contract but I doubt it. Apparantly his Wife wants to return to Prague.

adizlaja 23-08-2005, 02:32:AM Seems like we just arent good enough. Goals blamed on Metzelder (as usual) and Dede.
Oh well I guess
adizlaja 23-08-2005, 02:34:AM The lights went out after BVB took the lead. Dont know what the **** that is about.
Voltaic Borusse 23-08-2005, 04:48:AM It's a conspiracy, that's what it's about!
But really, Brzenska should have started in place of Metzelder for this game.
Voltaic Borusse 23-08-2005, 07:37:AM Striker van der Gun signs with BVB
[19.08.] Borussia Dortmund has signed a new forward. 26-year old Dutchman Cedric van der Gun has impressed Bert van Marwijk in all respects which led him to a performance-related one-year contract.
http://bilder.sportsandbytes.de/bvb/Sonstiges/Gun_1124453771.jpg
"We had some details to be clarified. There was an adequate agreement with both parties, so we signed him", manager Hans-Joachim Watzke gave away. If he's able to reach his high level he performed with Ajax, he'll be a great reinforcement to us", van Marwijk announced. "He's a quick player, blazing his way towards the goal".
Van der Gun had joined BVB's training weeks ago and was tested several times against lower class opponents. "He has increased his efficiency from time to time", the coach stated. The striker had a good year with Ajax before he went to play to ADO Den Haag in Dutch Eredivisie where he denied to exceed his contract for playing to a top club instead. Van Marwijk: "Most players ask for their salary first, but he didn't at all. His goal is to perform on the pitch".
"I was very impressed he was willing to join our training for weeks. This shows up his character. Either way he is a favourable solution. He burdens risks. That's a sign he believes in himself", Watzke commented. Van der Gun's contract does not automatically mean a separation of David Odonkor of which recently had been thought about throughout the media. "There's no need to lend him to somewhere. Furthermore there are no teams who asked for him", the manager said. "But possibly this could be a good solution", van Marwijk added.
Play up, van der Gun. (Y)

changes its style of play after scoring a goal.
The finishing today was god awful... Koller, Ricken, Smolarek and
Kringe constantly messed up in front of the goal.
Out of our 4 matches so far this season, we have been the better team
3 times and out of those 3 times we got 0 wins. 2 points! Thats
******* pathetic.

Voltaic Borusse 31-08-2005, 02:36:AM The finishing today was god awful... Koller, Ricken, Smolarek and Kringe constantly messed up in front of the goal.
Yeah, it was blanks after blanks! Missed blanks all the time, and Duisburg's keeper was really good, but you can't fault Dortmund for trying, give them some merit for that. At least they weren't sitting behind the ball. Rosicky and Kringe were great, by the way. Their distributions of the ball were fantastic. Rosicky was very lively.
The defense on the other hand ... :nape:
Hendrik 31-08-2005, 01:42:PM According to Bild Koller won't extend his contract and leave for free after the seaosn, probably to the EPL.
Jannes 31-08-2005, 01:44:PM Bild (C)
Voltaic Borusse 31-08-2005, 01:55:PM Yeah, I think he'll leave in the summer. Meh, it's time he moves on anyway. He's won the Championship already, there's nothing else left for him here anymore. I could see him playing for one of the midtabled or relegation-bound teams in the EPL, though -- or possibly a move back to his homeland like he's talked about before.
Jannes 31-08-2005, 04:45:PM bvb09.de says he will leave
that sucks :(
adizlaja 31-08-2005, 06:37:PM Yeah, this was expected. Koller made it so obvious that he was not coming back. You can look back a month or 2 and I said that it is time to sell Koller and that he would not extend. BVB managed to blow it again.
Looks like Bobic will be a Dortmunder this season or next....
Hendrik 31-08-2005, 07:14:PM Halil Altintop's contract is running out. Schalke wants to re-unite the twins but they can't guarantee him a first team spot...
adizlaja 31-08-2005, 09:21:PM I doubt we can afford him, but the man would be so welcome. My god would I love to have him.
Voltaic Borusse 31-08-2005, 11:31:PM He can't be that expensive, and we should still have some money left over from the Ewerthon sale. I couldn't see Halil making it at Schalke, though. Asamoah can't even make the first-team, and I think he's rated higher than Halil. Hey, we should have got Portillo (from Madrid) on loan or something.
adizlaja 01-09-2005, 03:07:AM I agree, Portillo would be nice. But I guess he cant become a Borusse since he knocked us out of the CL.
Mother****er.
Deisler 01-09-2005, 04:58:AM Makaay blasted us at Olimpiastadion the sezon prior to join us and look at what he is doing for us.
Too bad he got injured. :(
Hendrik 05-09-2005, 05:15:PM According to Kicker Dortmund have started negotiations with Altintop's agent. Steven Pienaar (Ajax) is also a candidate that could come for free next summer.
Huth might be an option if Wörns leaves or retires. :sb9:
adizlaja 05-09-2005, 09:00:PM Id love to get b oth Pienaar and Altintop... I would make Altintop my top priority and it seems like the club has done just that. Once Rosicky is sold, we can buy a player by using a little bit of the money if neccessary.
I hate Huth, but I would take him in a heartbeat.
Voltaic Borusse 05-09-2005, 10:16:PM I would love Altintop, and yeah, I would welcome Huth too. Even though he is ****, he's a sure upgrade over Worns.
adizlaja 06-09-2005, 01:57:AM Worns, Metzelder and Degen are all worse than Huth... which is embarrasing.
Voltaic Borusse 06-09-2005, 02:39:AM Worns, Metzelder and Degen are all worse than Huth... which is embarrasing.
No, it's not embarrassing. Worns is old, Metzelder's still trying to regain his form after being out for so long, and Degen is young and still needs time to ADAPT to the league. Did you expect the defense to gel and get everything right over night? Defenses don't strengthen and gel over night, for ****'s sake.
adizlaja 06-09-2005, 04:18:AM Yeah I guess... but Worns has experience on his side. CMetze has been playing for 8 months and Degen should be better by now.
Voltaic Borusse 08-09-2005, 10:13:AM There's rumor talk about Jan possibly moving to Turkey in the summer. :|
I hope it's just bull****, because if it's true, it would be deeply insulting. I mean, would you really want to end your career there? Why not at home or in a top league? Don't leave us for Turkey, Dino. You're way better than that.
TheBlueBalla 09-09-2005, 05:38:PM Smacks of all those reports of Pires signing on a free for Ferner once his contract is up: id say neither will ever happen
But if Koller will definately be leaving in the summer, then at least you guys have your finances (temporarily) in order to finance a replacement
Voltaic Borusse 10-09-2005, 07:37:AM That's right. And it looks as if Gerald Asamoah might be exiting Schalke in the summer (on a free) if he fails to put pen-to-paper on a new and improved contract extension by January. Asamoah's become surplus to requirements with the summer signings of Kuranyi and Larsen. Asamoah is 4th in the pecking order -- and Asamoah isn't too happy about this ...
Are you watching, Rauball? Make it happen.
Hendrik 10-09-2005, 09:20:AM Focus on extending Kehl's, Ricken's and Wörns' contracts first.
Asamoah is a poor man's Ewerthon.
Voltaic Borusse 10-09-2005, 10:47:AM We extended Dede's contract (which was quite a difficult task in itself), extending Kehl's and Ricken's contract shouldn't be too hard -- considering no one wants or fancies them. Kehl is injured most of the time, and Ricken plays more games for the reserves team than he does for the senior team. As for Worns, no thanks, I fancy Brzenska. And Asamoah isn't a poor man's Ewerthon. He's five-times the worker Ewerthon will ever be.
Hendrik 11-09-2005, 03:37:PM Half an hour until the start of the game, go FC Podolski. :fool:

The team around Podolski is just weak. :nape: He won't fulfil his potential unless he move away.
adizlaja 11-09-2005, 09:14:PM Once again when Koller is out we win... The team plays much harder and better without him. Great performance by Ricken and Odonkor, he destroyed that defense with his speed... too bad he is so inconsistent. Good performance by Kehl, he plays his best without Koller. Also, the defense overall was solid.
Kehl is very important to this team. He is the leader and is consistent. Dortmund must find a way to extend his contract. Kehl is class. I dont want Asamoah on this team to be honest. Buckley has been terrible so far this season... he must improve. Van der Gun got his knee injured and it looked very serious.
I hope BvM has the balls to put Koller on the bench next weekend and put on Rosicky only.
adizlaja 11-09-2005, 10:01:PM Buckley's ankle is swollen so they cannot get a diagnosis.
Van der Gun tore some ligaments in his knee and is out till March 2006. :nape:
Voltaic Borusse 11-09-2005, 10:13:PM Yeah, we can win without Koller. We've won without him many a time. And yeah, Odonkor is fast as hell, he just lacks good ball control and punctuality with his finishing.
Why don't you want Asamoah?
Voltaic Borusse 12-09-2005, 12:36:AM What a lightning of a cross from Odonkor. He should be played over Buckley.
If you're not performing, take a seat.
adizlaja 12-09-2005, 07:18:PM CMetze will be called up for the national team soon. It can only help his confidence.
Voltaic Borusse 13-09-2005, 01:18:AM On a good day, Metzelder is Germany's best center-back, and he knows this. I'll kill someone if he gets badly injured during international duty, though. I'll kill someone.

He also accepted a wage-reduction. Talk about loyalty.
adizlaja 16-09-2005, 06:18:PM This was given... Ricken is loved by all the fans whether he is total crap or great like last weekend.
Now lets get the far more important player Kehl.
We could get destroyed tomorrow if we dont play rock solid defense.
Voltaic Borusse 16-09-2005, 06:54:PM Lineup for tommorow:

Koller and Rosicky are doubtful.
Hendrik 16-09-2005, 07:09:PM If Bremen play like against Barca they will win. This could be a high-scoring game.
Voltaic Borusse 16-09-2005, 07:18:PM If could be, they've been doing a good job so far of exploiting weak defenses. If we manage a point I'll be more than pleased.
adizlaja 16-09-2005, 07:55:PM Klose has been on fire lately. We need Rosicky to have any chance of winning. Playing without Koller will help us more than hurt us.
Voltaic Borusse 17-09-2005, 07:43:AM I hope Koller isn't fit to play today. And by the way, the game will be aired (tape delay) via FSC at 10:00 AM Eastern, so don't forget to set your clocks.
When the moonchild is crying
And silence has broken
The darkest truth
The things she remembered
Had never been her own
Replicant or human
I know the way to show
What do I see
What will I find
Know the answer inside
It's your last step
Time what is time
I wish I knew how to tell you why
It hurts to know
Aren't we machines
Time what is time
Unlock the door
And see the truth
Then time is time again
These dreams were never mine
It's cold inside
It's gone forever
The things he saw
Who can say what's wrong or right
The vision of a free life
His eyes had seen it all
For what
He's asking
The vision, vision, vision
I know it's all a lie
I'll remember the past life
And I'll remember time
What did I see
What have I done
God I knew the answers
When he felt so tired
Time what is time
Come lock the door don't let me in
I am the one your destiny
Time what is time
Reality - it hurts me so
When time is time again
Look into my eyes
Feel the fear just for a while
I'm a replicant and I love to live
Is it all over now
Only these years
I'll leave but I'm singing
Time what is time
He saw it clearly it's too late
It does not heal but it lets us forget
Time what is time
We'll never know
So don't take care
Then time is time again
Should I forget
The way I feel
God he knows how long I tried
Feel there is no reason to cry
I live my life
In fortune dreams forever
Hendrik 17-09-2005, 03:01:PM Great game in the first half.
adizlaja 19-09-2005, 01:12:AM this was a good game... too bad we couldnt tie
adizlaja 20-09-2005, 10:56:PM Dortmund beat Bielefeld 2-0... good result :lui:
Should have been 5-0 though... not a big deal but Ricken refused to shake BvM hand after being substituted. In my opinion Koller should have been subbed... but whatever we won.
Hendrik 21-09-2005, 02:33:PM Kehl is rumoured to leave, Hamburg have shown their interest in him.
adizlaja 21-09-2005, 06:54:PM Thats not really a jump in quality... he needs to stay
Hendrik 21-09-2005, 08:41:PM Yeah who wants to play CL or Uefa Cup at least when you can stay at your midtable club.
adizlaja 21-09-2005, 08:46:PM Last years standings:
7 Borussia Dortmund 55points
8 Hamburger SV 51points
2 years ago:
6 Borussia Dortmund 55 points
8 Hamburger SV 49 points
Wow... Hamburg is so much better!!! They had a good intertoto cup and thats the only thing that separates them from BVB. They made some nice additions this year but is that worth leaving a team where you are the leader? Kehl will soon become the man in Dortmund if he stays.
Voltaic Borusse 22-09-2005, 08:12:AM I'll be sorely pissed if Kehl leaves, he plays such an integral role at Dortmund and is such a driving force in the midfield. But, you can't blame him for wanting to leave, he wants European football and that's something Dortmund can't offer at this moment. And I'm sure a higher wage is sifting through his mind too, along with a call up to his national team, pending on how he performs.
Hamburg is a step up, I hate to say. Hamburg's team is ******* awesome, but good things don't always last. Barbarez isn't getting any younger -- it won't be too long until van der Vaart is in a Bayern shirt lest he keeps up his great performances, and I don't reckon it will be too long before some top Italian club snaps up van Buyten from under Hamburg's nose. That's alright, Kehl can leave. I hope the bastard ends up like Torsten Frings.
Sing me a song, you're a singer
Do me a wrong, you're a bringer of evil
The Devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you're a taker
So it's on and on and on, it's Heaven and Hell, oh well
The lover of life's not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
the sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
So it's on and on and on, oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell
I can tell, fool, fool!
Well if it seems to be real, it's illusion
For every moment of truth, there's confusion in life
Love can be seen as the answer, but nobody bleeds for the dancer
And it's on and on, on and on and on....
They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of Kings and Queens
Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams
It's Heaven and Hell, oh well
And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
It's Heaven and Hell, oh no!
Fool, fool!
You've got to bleed for the dancer!
Fool, fool!
Look for the answer!
Fool, fool, fool!
adizlaja 22-09-2005, 07:49:PM I believe Kehl will end up getting called up for the WC 2006 squad.
Hendrik 22-09-2005, 08:16:PM I think the DM spot is pretty much set with Frings and Ernst.
adizlaja 22-09-2005, 08:42:PM I was thinking instead of Hamann.. but dont even know if he is considered anymore
Voltaic Borusse 24-09-2005, 12:52:AM Mainz v Dortmund
Mainz have been quite crap haven't as of late, haven't they? I suck dick. Let's beat these carnival freaks to a pulp. 0-3 I say.
Smolarek
Rosicky
Dede
Lineups for tommorow:

- - - - - - - - - Koller - - - - - - - - -
FSV Mainz 05: Wache - Abel, Friedrich, Noveski, Weigelt - Gerber, Pekovic, da Silva - Thurk, Ruman - Auer.
adizlaja 24-09-2005, 03:54:AM They have not won a game... but who is a better team to get you on the right foot than Dortmund? I predict a hard fought game which ends up tied 2-2. If we win and EVERYTHING goes right then we can move to 4th place. :chew:
Voltaic Borusse 24-09-2005, 04:34:AM They have not won a game...
They won against Kaiserslautern on Wednesday.
adizlaja 24-09-2005, 08:20:AM oh okay.. i guess i heared that before this weeks match. good news for us.
Hendrik 24-09-2005, 09:30:PM 1-1 Metzelder scored his first Bundesliga goal. He's about to be called up to the nt again.
Koller will be out for about half a year.
adizlaja 25-09-2005, 05:46:PM We are in desperate need for a striker. Bobic is needed.
Hendrik 26-09-2005, 03:15:PM Klinsmann has called up Metzelder for the two nt games in October. :bouncy:
Voltaic Borusse 27-09-2005, 01:56:AM Can Bobic leave on a free? If not, no thanks.
If we can't get an adequate replacement by the end of January, we'll just continue playing Smolarek in the center. He can do it.
adizlaja 27-09-2005, 03:29:AM Bobic has been without a club for 3-4 months now. Watzke said "No!" to Bobic yesterday. **** I hope they know what they are doing.
Voltaic Borusse 27-09-2005, 04:12:AM That means he isn't even match fit and hasn't played any competitive matches in a while. Who's he been training with? Forget that, he's too old. In the end, he'll just be a waste of time and money. No disrespect to the guy, but no thanks! Heh, kind of makes me wonder how we should have kept on to Barbarez.
We should go for Nenad Jestrovic. I rate him.
Voltaic Borusse 27-09-2005, 04:25:AM http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Photo/competitions/UCL/241770_BIGLANDSCAPE.jpg
A tall striker with an enviable scoring record who has had to shake off a super-sub tag, Nenad Jestrovic's progress has been hampered by a series of serious injuries but 2004/05 proved an important breakthrough.
National team
Formerly a Yugoslavian Under-21 international, the change of name to Serbia and Montenegro prompted a change in fortune for Jestrovic who played in qualifying for UEFA EURO 2004™. Has made occasional friendly appearances since.
Club
The striker has played for a number of different clubs in a variety of different leagues across Europe in his short career, including OFK Beograd in his homeland and French sides LOSC Lille Métropole, SC Bastia and FC Metz.
2000: Left Metz for R. Excelsior Mouscron and immediately made a name for himself by racing straight to the top of the Belgian First Division's scoring chart. A serious foot injury in April 2001, though, cut short what was turning out to be a highly promising season for Jestrovic, who none the less went on to register 25 goals in 20 games.
2001: RSC Anderlecht had to beat off strong competition to land the signature of Jestrovic from Mouscron for a fee of €3m on a four-year deal. Injuries limited him to eleven outings in his first season in Brussels, but he bounced back with 20 goals in 23 games the next. His miserable run of luck continued, though, as he seriously damaged his knee during the 2003/04 UEFA Champions League qualifier against Wisla Kraków. Returned in February and finished the campaign with a bang, scoring six goals in eleven games as Anderlecht wrapped up the title with ease.
2004/05: Struck against SL Benfica as Anderlecht reached the Champions League group stage but then broke his arm in September, his last appearance coming against FC Internazionale Milano. Back in December, he struck a late winner against Club Brugge KV, sparking a run of form that included eight goals in five matches in February/March, and 18 in all - the highest tally in the Belgian league. Started 2005/06 with a goal against PFC Neftchi on Anderlecht's way through Champions League qualifying again.
Did you know?
Seven goals in six UEFA Cup matches in 2001/02 earned him the nickname 'Jestrogoal'.

Voltaic Borusse 27-09-2005, 11:18:PM Chelsea make offer for Turkish sensation Sahin
tribalfootball.com - September 27, 2005
Chelsea have moved for Borussia Dortmund's 17 year-old sensation Nuri Sahin.
The Mirror says the Blues have made a £3.5 million bid for the midfielder, who is rated one of the brightest young talents in German football.
We rejected a similar price (£3) from Arsenal, why would Dortmund given for just £500,000 more?
Chelsea can have him, for £10m. They're good for it. :)
