Schweini og, Jensen, Borowski

We weren't as bad as it looks like, the game could have gone either way. In the second half Bayern dominated the game, had great chances but couldn't capitalize.
Klose was unstoppable, he was all over the pitch.

I bet Hoeness is gonna blame Klinsmann.

SkySports (http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=377788&CPID=22&clid=156&lid=7&title=Bayern+dismiss+Gers+link)

Bayern Munich have insisted that Bastian Schweinsteiger is not for sale, after he was linked with Rangers.

New Gers boss Paul Le Guen has seen Bayern in action a number of times this term in his role as a television pundit.

Reports in Germany have now suggested that Rangers could mount an audacious bid for the 21-year-old.

However, Bayern coach Felix Magath has rubbished suggestions that he could sell his best young player.

"Rangers must have found a pot of gold but I don`t want to let him go," Magath told the Scottish Daily Express.

"To sell Schweini is not on my agenda. In any case, I don`t think a move to Glasgow Rangers would be right for him.

"It`s true that Le Guen has been here many times covering Bayern for television and in this time he has become a fan."

lol Schweinsteiger to Rangers. How much would he cost us if it were to happen?

I'd say about 15 million € or so.

Hendrik

Although it's not going to happen, we can talk about a loan deal. He needs more playing time he hasn't progressed at all in the past two years. He's still the same inconsistent player that's only effective after being subbed in.

Premiere TV interview with Uli Hoeneß

Question: Uli Hoeneß, when did Oliver Kahn find out he would not be Germany's number one goalkeeper at the World Cup?

Uli Hoeneß: "He spoke to Jürgen Klinsmann in a Munich hotel at around 11.30 yesterday morning."

Question: Do you think Jens Lehmann might have known about the decision in advance?

Hoeneß: "I believe Jens Lehmann has known about it for a year and a half, so it wasn't news to him."

Question: is Lehmann the better keeper at the present time?

Hoeneß: "Definitely not. But we're not prepared to go on analysing the subject et epic length. We accept the decision, although we think it's wrong. That's the way it will stay for now."

Question: You seem personally very disappointed. What will happen next?

Hoeneß: "You can hardly expect all of us to start hugging everyone else and shouting "Alleluia!" after one of our most important and best players has been demoted. But the best thing for everyone would be to take a two, three or four week time out, let everything settle in, and then make a good decision."

Question: Were you surprised at the decision to bring forward the announcement?

Hoeneß: "We think the timing, the day before a vital match, was unfortunate, and you could use stronger language than that. We wanted a quick decision, that's not in doubt. But the Friday lunchtime before the most important match since Christmas is a little previous, to say the least. We could have met up in Munich on Sunday, set aside time to talk everything through, but there's probably another plane taking off for California at that time." (LOL :funny: )

Question: Do you think it's possible Kahn may turn his back on Germany and Bayern completely after this episode?

Hoeneß: "There is no reason whatsoever he should jack it all in here. I believe it will need two to three weeks for the shock and dismay to subside, but then he'll pick himself up and may still play a part at the World Cup. Then he will continue to deliver excellent performances for Bayern Munich over the next two seasons. Many people don't like the way Oliver has been treated. A lot of people will warm to him over the next few weeks."

Question: Will this change your attitude to the German national team in any way?

Hoeneß: "Of course not. We're all tremendously looking forward to the World Cup. Bayern Munich would never try to undermine such a massive enterprise for any petty reason. We'll do everything in our power to support the Germany cause at the World Cup."

Question: In other news today, one report claims Michael Ballack has received a formal offer from Chelsea.

Hoeneß: "I'm pretty certain Michael will move to Chelsea."

Question: Could Werder Bremen's Tim Borowski replace Ballack?

Hoeneß: "He's a fantastic player, but he definitely won't be coming to Bayern."

Hendrik

Hamburg throw the title race wide open again. They cut the lead down to 4.

Ballack's talks with Chelsea have slowed down. Mourinho:"It's pretty clear to me that he has doubts about his future. Chelsea, Barca, Madrid or to stay in Munich."

F*ck him. I can't wait to get rid of his ass as soon as possible.

I wouldn't mind vBommel leaving Barça but somehow I don't see it happening.

Do you think a trade with Makaay would be possible? Bayern will sign Podolsky or Agüero and since Larsson is leaving this summer, I think Barça would be interested in Makaay.

Hendrik
11-04-2006, 05:46:PM
I wouldn't mind but I can't see Barca doing it. Makaay doesn't fit into your playing style, not at all.

---------------------

Hoeness: "Back in 2002 we thought we were buying a player similar to Effenberg who's a playmaker and a leader on the field. It turned out that we signed someone who rather runs to the opponent's penalty area whenever we have the ball.

We want to strenghten the team so that it can beat Chelsea, Juventus and Barcelona on a good day. This means we're looking after a defender, a midfielder and a striker. I have my doubts spending so much cash on a 17 year old Argentinian.
Van Buyten is a player I like. He's a rock."

Michael Rensing
Willy Sagnol
Lucio
Valerien Ismael
Philipp Lahm
Hasan Salihamidzic
Owen Hargreaves
Michael Ballack
Zé Roberto
Claudio Pizarro
Roy Makaay

There were some transfer rumors in the press today. Juve's Camoranesi is apparently unhappy and wants to leave. Juve demand 9M. To be honest, even though we have a problem in that RM position since Deisler's injury, I don't want him. He's too old and has never impressed me.
The second rumor is about Ajax's young striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Bayern have an eye on him as Makaay's long-term successor.

Thank god we won it in the second half. We badly needed the three points, otherwise Hamburg would have cut the lead down to two points. It's no coincidence that Bayern scored after Scholl was subbed in. It shows what difference a creative playmaker makes.

It's not good for the team that Ballack gets constantly booed in home games. An easy solution would be to bench him and play Hargreaves at AM. At least he shows passion and heart for the club.

Unfortunately we need 1860 to stay in the second division. If they get relegated they are bankrupt which means they could no longer pay the stadium. Then they'd have to sell their rights to the stadium to Bayern, this could cost us millions.

Hey Vince i wouldnt but Aguero in the attacking midfield option he would make a hell of support striker to Makaay or Pokolski, making chances and also finishing, i would switch him with podolski in that lineup.

Sergio Aguero is a forward who plays deeper than most strikers but not a CAM or AMF by any means, he is great though he would be awsome at Bayern.

Whatever happend to the Tevez rumors from a couple years ago he wouldn't be bad at all either.

Yep both Rummenigge and Hoeness said they really like him and he'd improve the team. The problem is Hamburg put a price tag of 15 million on both their CBs (van Buyten and Boulahrouz) - rightfully so because they've conceded the least goals in the whole league.

I can't believe people rather keep Makaay over Pizarro. Pizarro still has great years ahead of him, while Makaay (hate to say it is on the decline.) If any forward is gonna leave the first one to go is Makaay IMHO. Santa Cruz is still a good player to keep as a sub or even start a couple of matches. I like your lineup Vince but I would Switch Makaay with Guerrero.

I can't believe people rather keep Makaay over Pizarro.

The fact that I put Makaay ahead of Pizarro doesn't mean I want to get rid of them. I'd loan Guerrero and sell Santa Cruz.

Both have been pretty mediocre in the past weeks but in my opinion that's mostly due to the lack of creativity (Hello Mr. Ballack :read: ). An aging Makaay shouldn't have lost his scoring touch within half a year, I like the idea of surrounding him with the likes of Podolski and Agüero.

Ismael suffers ban blow

Bayern Munich defender Valerien Ismael has been handed a three-match ban for elbowing an opponent

The 30-year-old was caught on television pictures hitting out at Arminia Bielefeld's Radomir Dalovic during his side's 2-0 win last weekend.

The incident went unnoticed by the referee, but the German soccer federation have decided to act after viewing video footage

Bayern have decided not to appeal the decision and it means Ismael will miss three of Bayern's remaining four games in the Bundesliga this season.

Ismael was unhappy with the punishment feeling he did not deserve such a lengthy ban.

"I find it unjustified,'' Ismael said of the verdict.

It's official, Bayern gives 1860 a credit worth €11M for their stadium shares (can be bought back). They have to pay it back within the next four years, if they can't we're the only owner.

Unfortunately it was necessary, if 1860 went bankrupt we would have to pay the €300M for the Allianz Arena alone.

and isn't Kalou a right winger? why would you want him when you have Schweinsteiger on the bench? :|
Schweinsteiger is better as a left winger and Ze Roberto probably won't get a new contract so that problem would be solved.

You guys are too cruel on the guy.

Hendrik
29-04-2006, 10:38:PM
He has 16, Makaay 19.

The problem is it's not his job to score goals, he's supposed to create chances for the strikers. Hell even Makaay influences the game more than him.
Not to mention that the team plays a lot better WITHOUT him.

There are rumors about a trade with Berlin, Santa Cruz for Bastürk.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! At least this year isn't a complete loss. It's so weird that we win the cup, will almost inevitably win the league, and yet it's a down year. I guess it's a turning point. I'm torn about Ballack. He's the only soccer player I've ever been a fan of regardless of club, I loved him at Leverkusen before he was a Bayern guy, but he really isn't helping the team and I think it's right to cut our losses right now and let him go. Sorry Michael, but you aren't getting any younger or making the team any better. I still love you though.

No. Makaay's scored 61 goals in 93 games in the past three seasons without much help from the midfielders. Next year he will play next to a playing striker that can also pass the ball very well and a new creative midfielder.

The fact that the club just extended his contract proves that he is supposed to be an important cornerstone of the new team.

Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol says the club should prove their ambition by buying Adriano from Internazionale.

Speaking in an interview with Suddeutsche Zeitung, the French international expressed his frustration at what he sees as the club's unwillingness to take risks in the transfer market.

"I've read that Adriano would like to leave Inter. If such a player came to Bayern, then that would lift the club's prestige enormously," Sagnol said.

"Everyone would say, 'Oh, Bayern have signed Adriano - that's a sign that they have big plans.' We have to show that we are a big club," he added.

Sagnol admitted to being frustrated whilst watching the UEFA Champions League semi-final clash between Barcelona and Milan on television.

"We are not playing at that level at the moment," he commented.

"I hope that winning the Champions League will remain the club's goal.

"It is up to the board to make the right transfer deals to show that they really mean what they say."

'Der Kaiser' enters Ballack row

Bayern Munich president Franz Beckenbauer has criticised Michael Ballack for his recent lackadaisical attitude.

The Germany midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and is widely expected to join Chelsea.

He has not been at his best in Bayern's last few games, and Beckenbauer believes that he is merely going through the motions until he can complete a transfer to the Premiership champions.

"Ballack is just saving his strength for Chelsea," Beckenbauer told ZDF TV after Bayern had clinched the German Cup with a 1-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.

"Sometimes I think to myself, is he playing with us or not?

"The way he runs around the field has little to do with football.

"He isn't trying anymore and I was waiting for him to be substituted," added Beckenbauer, who is known in Germany as "Der Kaiser".

Ballack has denied the suggestion that he is not giving 100 percent to Bayern's cause, claiming that the club's achievements mean as much to him now as they ever have done.

"It doesn't matter what he (Beckenbauer) thinks," said the 29-year-old. "I'm delighted about the (cup) title, which is the third in four years.

"All that matters is we have won, but if Der Kaiser says that," he added with a smile.

Beckenbauer was not prepared to listen to Ballack's argument, replying simply:
"He knows I am right." (H)

I know that most of our fans dislike Lincoln because of his typical Brazilian attitude but he needs the biggest stage to consistently perform on a high level.

Yeah right ... he will have a much better environment to develop into a superstar player in Munich. A spot in the the starting team is pretty much guaranteed even if he doesn't perform that well (ala Ballack). Also the pressure plays a major role here. If he played for Hamburg or Bremen the media would only focus on him, at Bayern he'd be one of many.

Not to mention he could play together with his friend Schweinsteiger ... dumb and dumber.

Pizarro is in contract talks and wants more money. He will soon a contract extension. No wonder he's scoring that many as of late.

Although we won the game quite comfortable I didn't like that performance at all, it was the same boring stuff we played in the last weeks or even months. First we just too often concede an early goal, the usual wake-up call. Then we bounce back, attack the opponent a few times, score and sit back again. Bah we play like Juve but we got too many defensive flaws.

FRANKFURT, May 7 (Reuters) - Champions Bayern Munich hope to make up for the expected loss of Michael Ballack by signing Germany's best young player, Lukas Podolski.

Bayern are resigned to seeing playmaker Ballack move on a free transfer to English champions Chelsea after the Germany captain refused the offer of a new contract.

The 20-year-old Podolski, who plays for relegated Cologne, is top of their list of targets, and after wrapping up a 20th German championship with a week to spare on Saturday they are ready to move in.

"We'll carry out talks with a view to getting him by July 1," Bayern manager Uli Hoeness told reporters in Cologne as the club celebrated a second successive league and cup double.

A deal with Podolski's agent was "as good as agreed," Hoeness added, although the club have yet to speak to Cologne.

Hoeness also confirmed an interest in Daniel Van Buyten, captain of a Hamburg side who have pushed Bayern hard this season and will clinch second place if they avoid defeat at home to Werder Bremen next Saturday.

"He has let it be known that he wants to come to us," Hoeness said of the 28-year-old Belgian centre-back. "Now he has to discuss it with Hamburg."

Hamburg's 4-2 defeat away to Hertha Berlin on Saturday was enough to confirm Bayern as champions, even as they themselves only managed a 1-1 draw away to Kaiserslautern.

It was their sixth championship in the last eight seasons and their third double in the four years since Ballack joined them from Bayer Leverkusen.

Ballack has scored 13 league goals this season from midfield and even if Podolski and Van Buyten come, the Bavarians will still need to find someone who can play such an effective all-round game in midfield.

That man could be Julio dos Santos, the 22-year-old Paraguay midfielder who joined Bayern in January but who has yet to make his Bundesliga debut.

"He's going to have a big impact," Hoeness said.

Yeah definitely 9. The new away jerseys with Makaay/10 on the back are already being sold so they can't change.

Let's hope Cologne don't force him to play in the second division again.

COLOGNE, Germany (AP) - Lukas Podolski, called Germany's biggest forward talent, is set to be signed by Bayern Munich. Bayern manager Uli Hoeness said his club, fresh from clinching the Bundesliga title Saturday, has reached an agreement with the 20-year-old FC Cologne player, a likely starter for Germany at the World Cup. "If he doesn't move to us for this coming season, then the one afterward," Hoeness said. Podolski told the Cologne daily Express he feels ready to play for Bayern, despite competition from the likes of Roy Makaay and Claudio Pizarro, and could not spurn an offer from Germany's biggest club. "I'm convinced that I made the right decision. I don't have any fear I won't play," Podolski said. Bayern hopes to sign Podolski by July 1. The forward scored 10 goals in the Bundesliga two years ago - a record for an 18-year-old player. Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV also wanted Podolski.

its actually ok. i seem to like it for some reason, i think its the creativity,oh and is that home or away because it sure is not away since they have been on sale and dont look like that at all. on another note:

European heavyweights Juventus and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Porto starlet Pepe.

The 23-year-old Brazilian was drafted into the Porto squad a couple of years ago to replace Ricardo Carvalho, who moved on to Chelsea.

His performances since have been so eye-catching that several top clubs across the continent have been tracking his progress.

Podolski set for Bayern switch

The 20-year-old striker is not prepared to stay with the relegated Goats, and has targeted a high-profile move to the newly crowned Bundesliga champions."I have told the club's bosses that I want to join Bayern Munich," Podolski revealed.

vince had already posted this but i hadnt seen an article on skysports or goal.com so i just posted some info from skysports. well it looks like podolski is coming to bayern for sure now they have agreed on all terms except the price. :lui:

It's fake, just like the other jersey he posted. The home jersey will be the same one we used this season, the only difference will be three stripes on each arm. The ones used in Champions League looked like it.

Yes but it's not clear whether he's coming this year or next year. Cologne are threatening him to play in the second division if Bayern don't pay 10 million. Bayern on the other hand don't want to spend that much on him since he has a clause in his contract that he can leave the club for 1 million in 2007.

I think both clubs will agree on a transfer fee of about 6-8 million plus Lell and maybe one more young player.

and will this affect Pizarro or Makaay. Or is he the player thats replacing Ballack?
Santa Cruz, dos Santos and a new signing will replace Ballack.
With Podolski as the new figurehead of the club and fan favourite Pizarro and Makaay will be seeing lesser minutes which isn't a bad thing. There are enough games.

Rensing and Ottl have extended.

if bayern dont pay the 10 million, hamburg wil,l so i hope that bayern swallow their pride and pay them the 10 million, if cologne wont negotiate for less than that. pizarro has been poaching in goals as of lately so i think he is still a key figure for bayern in the future. oh and about lell, if we get him along with podolski then i think that 10 million is a good amount to pay because if we wait untill next season, then podolski might change his mind and go to hamburg.

They probably can't but that doesn't matter as long as the player has to agree on that deal. Cpöpgne are trying to get as much out of Bayern as possible and in the end they will have to accept the offer, even it's not 10 million, it's still a pretty nice amount for a second division club.

its a hell of alot of money for a second division club. if bayern says 10 million, cologne wont be able to go higher because thats way more than they will get if they wait 1 more year, so he is sure to come but the price is unknown as of yet. it will probabaly be around 8-10 million.

Magath concedes Champions League is beyond Bayern

BERLIN, May 11 (Reuters) - Coach Felix Magath said winning the Champions League was beyond Bayern Munich's reach, but added he was very satisfied at winning two German domestic league and cup doubles in his first two seasons in charge.

"Winning the Champions League is unrealistic," Magath said in an interview in Thursday's daily Bild.

Other Bayern bosses have expressed similar views recently, saying the 20-times German champions do not want to open their wallets for top talent.

"Next season, we'll have to wait and see how all our international players recover from the World Cup," Magath added, warning of a slow start. "The tournament can hurt us."

Magath faced criticism from Bayern executives following the club's Champions League round of 16 exit against AC Milan. He complained that his accomplishments were not respected. Bayern last won the Champions League in 2001.

"The German double is a great achievement," he said.

"We defended both titles. I was disappointed, too, at getting knocked out of the Champions League, but I can't figure out what the difference is between going out in the round of 16 or the semi-final when it's against a good team like AC Milan."

Funny, I was just about to post that article but I guess I got beat to it.

Anyways, he's not pessimistic, he's right. I think I said that Bayern don't really have the stars to win the Champions League when the season started.

If you think that you can win the CL with Makaay and Pizarro, or Ze Roberto, then you've got to be kidding. If yout think you can win a tournament with those guys up against teams like Milan then you're a bit too optimistic.

Talking about former players(one of my favorites) Carsten Jancker is perhaps heading to Asia...
BEIJING, May 18 (Reuters) - While his erstwhile international team mates prepare for the World Cup finals on home soil, former Germany striker Carsten Jancker was more than 8,000 kilometres away negotiating a possible move to Shanghai Shenhua.
The unmistakable 1.94-metre tall, shaven-headed Jancker, free to leave Kaiserslautern after their relegation from the Bundesliga last week, trained with the Shenhua team on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Super League club's website.

"I want to come to China to taste a new environment," the 31- year-old told local media. "There were three or four clubs in Europe interested in me but I wanted to come to Shanghai to take a look."

Jancker won the German title four times and the European Champions League once in six seasons at Bayern Munich before an unsuccessful two-year spell in Italy with Udinese, returning to Germany with Kaiserslautern in 2004.

Making the most of his physical presence, Jancker scored 10 goals in 33 appearances for his country over four years from 1998, including appearances in Germany's group matches at the last World Cup in South Korea and Japan.

Shenhua were runners-up in the Chinese top flight last season but after scoring just 11 goals in 12 matches are sixth in the league before their visit to champions Dalian Shide on Sunday.

As well as improving their goal tally on the domestic front, Shenhua coach Wu Jingui will be hoping Jancker's aerial threat can help the club progress from the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League.

Bayern fire Podolski warning

The Bundesliga champions have not been able to agree a transfer fee for the German international forward with his relegated club despite prolonged negotiations.

The Goats are believed to be holding out for €10 million (£6.8 million) for the hotly-tipped 20-year-old, but the Allianz Arena outfit have now threatened to wait until 2007 before finalising a deal.

Bayern have already reached an agreement with the player, who would be able to leave the Rhein Energie Stadion for €1 million (£680,000) in 2007.

"We'd be very sorry if Lukas would be forced to play in the second division, but we are running out of patience," Munich supremo Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stressed.

"If we should fail to reach an agreement, we will certainly turn to another striker."

The Poland-born marksman was The Goats' top scorer this season, and Bayern will want to capture his signature before he competes in the World Cup for Germany from June 9.

Bayern to set ultimatum over Podolski: "We give Cologne time until June 9th to accept our offer. If nothing happens we'll focus on other players, we have some interesting one son on our list." - Rummenigge

Podolski: "I'm not going to play a single game in the second division again. It's up to the two clubs now, my new club will be Bayern Munich."

--------------

Sooner or later both Cologne will have to agree on Bayern's 7,5 million offer or they will lose him for one million next year.

There are rumors that Lucio is unhappy with Ballack's departure and the low aims for the new season. He probably would not turn down an offer from Madrid. So van Buyten could end up being Lucio's successor. :(

We can lose Ballack and still be a top club. If we lose Lucio I think we're just resigning ourselves to be just another good club. Like a PSV. But not on the level of the Milan, Chelsea, Barcelonas of the world. If we lose Lucio, we take a BIG step in the wrong direction, there is no way we can replace him.

hey guys ballack has done good for bayern lets not bash him, but thank him. if he wants money let him go hes 30 its the time of his career to do something else. ballack was an essential part of the squad, i dont know how u guys say that we can lose him and still have a good squad? he was world class and helped us win back to back doubles.i no u guys think of him as a backstabber but i didnt mind him leaving even though i would want him to stay. if his move was for the money then let it be he did enough for us.

Hendrik
26-05-2006, 08:08:PM
Of course Ballack was an essential part of the squad, this has more to do with the position than his performances over the past years. It's not too far stretched to say that Bayern would have won the double twice if Hargreaves played his role. The team was good enough to win everything in Germany without him. He was supposed to make the difference in the Champions League like Effenberg did. But he failed, he couldn't motivate his teammates when it was needed, he didn't kick their asses.

The fact that he got booed in the home games says it all. I'm not in the minority here. He should have said he wanted to leave right at the beginning of the season, that would have saved us from the whole soap opera. I'm happy he doesn't stay because he simply is not worth 8 million a year, no freaking way.
I will miss his goalscoring and that's about it. The team's record without Ballack is 16 wins, 1 draw, 0 defeats. That's not a coincidence, Ballack's lazy ass slows down the whole team.

I hope we can sign one or two more young German players besides Podolski. Hoeness called Jansen and Mertesacker "interesting players" with the quality to succeed at Bayern. Jansen would be a great signing. He's left footed and can play as left back, left midfielder and left winger.

hey guys ballack has done good for bayern lets not bash him, but thank him. if he wants money let him go hes 30 its the time of his career to do something else. ballack was an essential part of the squad, i dont know how u guys say that we can lose him and still have a good squad? he was world class and helped us win back to back doubles.i no u guys think of him as a backstabber but i didnt mind him leaving even though i would want him to stay. if his move was for the money then let it be he did enough for us.

I'm not bashing him, I'm stating my opinion about his effect on the team. The Effenberg comparison is fantastic. Not even on his best day did Effenberg have half the talent of Ballack, but he led the team to victory, he played to the strengths of his team instead of forcing his team to adapt to him. And he won the title with young Hargreaves, Paulo Sergio, Jancker, Kuffour, and other guys who wouldn't be considered World Class by any standard five years ago. I don't think he's a backstabber, I just believe the team can survive without him, that's my honest opinion.

I've never heard of Jansen, who is he, how old, where does he play, talents?

But we already have Lahm at LB at possibly Schweinsteiger at LM
Both are right footed and with Ze leaving we need at least one left footed player in the team.

+ pace, crossing ability, long-distance shots
- defensive liability

Today it was the best day of my being a Bayern Fan Life. i was at Adidas Ny at 3 pm to meet with the players and i had the honor to get autographs from these players. Scholl, Makaay, Deisler :) , Lizarazy, Pizarro (What a gentelman), Guerrero, Brazzo (That dude is a joker, kept stealing Guerreros hat. :D), Ottl, Magath, Jeremies etc.
I saw the Bundesliga and Deutsche pokal trophies 3 feet away from me. At the end i told Magath one of the only German words i know: DANKE. He smiled and replied: BITTE.

Unforgetable.

PS: Scholl signed my adidas football and next to his signature wrote the number 7. Legend.

those are some nice pics guys :fool:

and about jansen; didnt arsenal like scout him or something because i remeber during the december arsene wenger wanted to make a move for him but he extended at monchengladbach. bayern should get jansen and mertesacker, but jansen might cost them since he still has a few years on his contract. what about that guy, eugene polanski. he looks like he is good, does anyone know about him? i think he plays for the under 21 team.

Barcelona to play Bayern in pre-season Gamper trophy

MADRID, May 28 (Reuters) - European champions Barcelona will play Bayern Munich in the annual Hans Gamper trophy in late August, the club said on Sunday.

The German champions follow Juventus and AC Milan who have been Barca's opponents in the last two editions of the trophy, which is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Catalan club's season.

Barca said the date of the game had not yet been confirmed, but that it was likely to take place on August 22, three days before they play fellow Spaniards Sevilla in the European Super Cup in Monaco.

A new rumor: The scouts were impressed by Thomas Kahlenberg (Denmark) at the U21 Euro. Apparently he's one of the stars of the tournament. He's left footed, can play as a central midifielder, left midfielder and supporting striker.
This week the club will try to reach an agreement over Podolski and van Buyten.

This is just in: Bayern are ready to offer €10M for Podolski in order to sign him up before the start of the World Cup. This should be enough for Cologne.

He will sign a four year contract worth €10M.

The club and Pizarro couldn't agree on a contract extension. Apparently they were unhappy with his season and could be looking to offload him to Hamburg.

How bout the Van Buyten situation?

Hendrik

Nothing new, Hamburg want 12-14 million and not less until they've found a decent replacement.
