Hey Zlatan whats the situation with Nigel? and hows Rosales Developing? and also Charisteas :)

Zlatan
27-05-2005, 05:58:PM
Nigel has become a key-player in recent months and ManU already showed some interest.
Mauro is injured since March/April hasn't really impressed me but there's still time for him to prove himself and I think he's the best signing together with Escude that Koeman did.
Charisteas is in the same situation as Mauro at the moment although he did score something like 3 out of 3 in the last matches. We have to give those two another season before we give an opinion about them.

There are rumours that Davids is coming our way. That would be so damn great. He's exactly the person we need. Expierinced, old, full of energy and a great great leader.

What do you guys think

Vagegast
28-05-2005, 06:20:PM
Apparently he wants to be re-united with Louis van Gaal, meaning that he'll go to AZ instead. Plus, van Eijden has denied that either de Boer or Davids will be coming back.

However, I do think that Davids would be an incredible positive contribution to the team. The man's a beast and he can talk some sense into some of the cocks who think they're bigger than everybody despite being only 21 or 22.

We're apparently interested and negotiating for Lindenbergh. Thoughts?

Pizarro14
28-05-2005, 06:24:PM
Yea I love how Davids Plays on the field. He still loves the game and it would be great to have Davids as the leader of the Ajax side. I wouldn't be surprise if he becomes captain when he joins Ajax.

quick stupid question :( : why does Davids wear those sun glasses? could it be because he hates the sun or what? or is it something serious?

Zlatan
28-05-2005, 06:39:PM
It's because of his eyes who are not working properly enough, he says.
Lindenbergh did well for AZ in the last few months but good enough for Ajax level? That remains to be seen

QYC
28-05-2005, 06:40:PM
He had some eye operation so he needs them for protection.

Pizarro14
28-05-2005, 06:42:PM

Lonestarr022
28-05-2005, 07:42:PM
I would not be surprised if former Ajax guys come back to finish their careers at Ajax, especially with Danny Blind coaching them now

Zlatan
28-05-2005, 10:43:PM
Well you should remember Davids and Blind waren't the best friends(EC 1996) which could be an obstacle of him going to Ajax.

Vagegast
29-05-2005, 12:23:AM
Yeah, well Davids was friends only with mainly the Surinamers anyway... Seedorf, Rijkaard, Kluivert, Reiziger, Bogarde, etc.

Silencer
30-05-2005, 05:53:PM
Good idea to open a new thread, new round new chances ;)
I think it will be more likely that Davids goes to AZ since Louis van Gaal is the new headcoach there. Lindenbergh is a good experienced player which Ajax lacks at the moment so I say welcome!
Rosenberg wants to come to Amsterdam he said, he is flattered with the attention from Arsenal but he wants to go to a club where he can grow and where he plays every week. Not in the last place is important that Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a worldstar thanx to Ajax.
Pienaar is not going anywhere yet, de Jong is staying and Trabelsi made clear that he wants to remain with Ajax for at least a year so the negotiations have started to make this so. van der Vaart is gone and I'm really surprised that he chose HSV Hamburg cause they play a style of football which is not really Raffies style but I wish him luck..

Vagegast
31-05-2005, 07:11:AM
Olaf Lindenbergh has reached a personal agreement with Ajax. It's now up between AZ and Ajax for the transfersum. He'll be taking Maxwell's place for the time being if he does come. He might also play in this Saturday's WCQ match together with Ron Vlaar.

http://telegraaf-i.telegraaf.nl/daily/2005/5/31/TE/TE_2S_20050531_23/pagina.php

Also, according to the Swedish press, Ajax's first bid for Markus Rosenborg (4 million) was denied. Malmo are asking for 6 million.

Zlatan
31-05-2005, 03:10:PM
well, with all the money we got with the transfers of Chivu, Zlatan, VDM and Raf it should be possible to reach an agreement with Rosenberg, shouldn't it?

Vagegast
05-06-2005, 08:59:AM
Rosenberg is signing next week.

We have Babel. The Next Kluivert.

We have Manucharyan, an 18-year old prodigy. He scored for the Armenian national team despite losing 2-1. He'll join in July.

We have Yannis Anastasiou, just in case we're 0-0 in the 84th minute. The experienced striker.

I'm willing to bet $20 that Angelos Charisteas will leave at the end of this upcoming season.

Zlatan
05-06-2005, 11:16:AM
Charisteas is only here for half a year. I've forseen this from the first day he arrived, Charisteas not beeing able to addapt this quickly and then the fans immediatly start saying: "he's crap".
please people think of Zlatan, was he that good in his first year?

Zlatan
05-06-2005, 03:46:PM
Rosenberg transfer is almost done. Ajax must only reach a personal agreement with Rosenberg.

He wasn't that awful last year, just inconsistent and crap at dealing with crosses.

11 Ryan Babel
Was the number 49 a particular choice or did he just get any old squad number at the time?

Vagegast
08-07-2005, 08:21:PM
He was added to the squad later into the year, that's why he got 49.

Zlatan
08-07-2005, 10:44:PM
Well he explained it as coming in our squad as 4th striker, a 4th number 9, so that's why 49 was chosen plus there waren't much numbers left when he came.

Kristian

My starting eleven... for now.

leftwinger----------Babel/Rosenberg-----------Rosales
----------Sneijder-------------------de Jong---------
------------------------Maduro----------------------
--Lindenbergh?!----Escudé-----Grygera------Trabelsi-
----------------------Stekelenbeg-----------------

With Maxwell out, we have no real leftback left. We have Lindenbergh and Emanuelson and even Thomas Vermaelen but it's a position to worry about. As for the left wing, we have Mitea and Boukhari but both haven't been exactly stellar... can we just let Rosenberg and Charisteas fight for the strikers position while Babel plays on the left? We all know how well he did last season.

Yes, no Heitinga. Disappointing last season of course.. right now, I opt Grygera over him but we'll see what happens. Also, Maduro in favor of Galasek. Obviously. Steven Pienaar.. he'll get his playing time too, but I wonder if we're able to sell him. If he doesn't want to extend his contract, I'd rather sell him than keep him and letting him go on a Bosman. We don't need him that badly. We also need to sell Lobont, fast. There's no justification for FOUR goalkeepers in the first squad.

Back-up players/Overbodige spelers: Yannis.. he'll be 3rd/4th option-striker and he's okay with that. Vermaelen, do or die for him this year. The same goes for Daniel de Ridder. If he he doesn't play at least a dozen games, I'm afraid he's outta here. I look forward to seeing Edgar Manucharyan and Lindgren out there...

I wonder who Blind is gonna cut.. It'll have to be at least one goalkeeper (Vermeer or Lobont). I hope Boukhari gets the ax and I won't be losing any sleep if de Mul or Obodai is relegated back to Jong Ajax.

Amsterdam Tournament :rockman:

Silencer
17-07-2005, 03:15:PM
Fantastic win against Rijnsburgse boys yesterday :lui: and Markus Rosenberg scored 3 times!! OK they are amateurs but he definitely has a nose for goalmaking, 4 goals in two matches. Looks like the way Zlatan started a few years ago with Ajax :) and surprise surprise Zlatan and he are good friends and Zlatan advised him to go to Ajax. Rosenberg only wanted to go to Ajax he said to his broker, stuff all other clubs I want to go! Again a similarity with Zlatan cause he said the same before he came to Amsterdam ;)

Anyway here are a few pics of the game ENJOY!

Scorecard:

0-1 Rosenberg
0-2 Escude (penalty)
0-3 Lindgren
0-4 Rosenberg
0-5 De Ridder
0-6 Boukhari
0-7 Rosenberg
break:
0-8 Escude (penalty)
0-9 De Jong
0-10 De Ridder
0-11 De Jong
0-12 Anastasiou

De Ridder is scoring a few goals too in the last matches and Lindgren is doing fantastic as well. I think the team we have now is a team to be proud of, i hope they won't dissapoint us..

Man it was a sad sight to see yesterday but Raffie got his well deserved goodbye with footage on the big screens. We all applauded when we saw the backflick against Feyenoord, surely one of his best goals in Ajax-shirt.
It was hard for him but he was very happy to know that we still respect him a lot and we are all very sure that he will return someday to once again wear the Ajaxkit with much pride :)

Goodbye Raffie as well and I hope you will get what you are hoping for, you won't play long for HSV cause you deserve a much bigger club and I see this year as a passthrough year. Raffie will play for BM or a club like that in the near future, you mark my words. Ballack will go to Real next season and then Raffie will be the one to replace him in Munich.
Still I'm hoping he leaves for the EPL, Italy or Spain cause that's much more in his league.

And the one who was talking about ugly, we are talking about football here and not about gaythings. Pls practise your hobby somewhere else

what a load of garbage.

waiting for Maldini to retire is like being benched for a decade. Coco did the right thing by moving on but made a mistake by going to Inter.

actually this transfer also had very little mention (in Italy) as well, but it directly said Ajax were the club close to securing Coco.

Meh, you know the JCS isnt considered as a real match, besides you have a much more important match a few days after. Dont deny it isnt a real match, the same was said by you after last year's 4-2. Im still confident PSV will win though, even though it may not seem so.

Well I just read this story and Blind stated that there will be a new signing within a few days, could well be Coco since he is keen on going to Ajax it seems. Again other teams like Bolton, Everton and Olympiakos are after a player but he wants to go to Ajax just like Rosenberg who only wanted to go to Ajax :) Good to see that players abroad love to come to Ajax!

This is the story from Skysports:

Francesco Coco has confirmed that he favours a move to Ajax rather than Olympiakos.

The talented Italian defender has been a long-term target for the Greek giants but Coco has stated his preference for a move to Holland.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini has already informed the player that he has no future in Milan but it remains to be seen where Coco will be plying his trade next season.

Olympiakos are believed to be leading the chase in terms of negotiations with their Italian counterparts but reports have claimed the player is already in Holland to talk with Ajax officials.

Now the last part is interesting, he could be in Holland already for negotiations and if that's the case it's only a matter of time till Ajax presents the new defender ;)

btw: Diego Maradona has landed on Schiphol airport last night to watch the game Ajax vs Boca on sundaynight :D

Coco to Inter would be great. He'd be actually a real leftback because as we all know, there are no real leftbacks in the Eredivisie. Maxwell can't defend for ****, the same goes for Lee... you'd have to go back to a guy like Arthur Numan to find a real leftback who would actually defend quite well. That's exactly what you'd have with a player like Coco. I'm kinda worried though because he's only played 6 games in the last two years. I don't want him to be another Woodgate.

Silencer

Coco has always been one of my favourite players and its been tragic how bad his injury problems have been. On his day, hed be Italy's starting LB and move Zambrotta up to RM.

Im glad he's going to Ajax over some mediocre English team (Bolton, Charlton, Everton) or an obscure club (Olympiakos, Galatasaray), all of which he'd probably be forgotten in Lippi's eyes. If he stays healthy Im sure he'll relaunch his career at Ajax. (Y)

Finally a win against PSV for JC schaal YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs
A good start for the season and next week is Brondby IF which will be a totally different game but for now we celebrate cause we BEAT PSV :D

The KNVB decided today that Ajax vs ADO Den Haag must be played on the original date (Sunday 14 August) at a neutral venue that will be announced later -- and behind closed doors. Mayor Job Cohen of Amsterdam vetoed the 'high risk' fixture for both Sunday 14 August and Saturday 13 August. The mayor of The Hague did not want the unplanned high risk fixture at Zuiderpark Stadium in his city either and no other city wished to welcome travelling sets of fans from Amsterdam and The Hague on Sunday, so that the KNVB had no other option than to find a neutral ground for the fixture and to ban all fans from it. The venue for the Eredivisie confrontation will be announced later. (Source: NOS Teletekst)This is a ******* travesty. Behind closed doors on a neutral venue?! This doesn't make sense at all, especially for the first game of the season. They said the venue will be kept secret. What the hell is going on?

Thanks to that c*nt Cohen we just lost home advantage for our first game of the season. ******* asshole.

Other news... Ajax has told Rasmus Lindgren, Tom de Mul, Anthony Obodai en Daniël de Ridder that they are not needed in the current Ajax squad. I like all four of them but I understand that this decision had to be made. You can't have a squad of 29 players, it's as simple as that. I guess Edgar Manucharyan will take over Rosales' place as winger since both De Mul and De Ridder have been told to leave. And despite the fact that De Ridder signed a one-year extension not to long ago. I had taken a liking of Lindgren too but our midfield is stacked. Obodai, far too inconsistent and he was being played right back for crying out loud. Good luck to him.

Silencer
11-08-2005, 09:17:PM
I agree that goal was amazing from Ryan but the way Ajax played left much to desire. They were weak in the back, too sloppy and like they were in panic or smth  I don't know what was wrong but everytime Brondby came near the goal they were not at all sure and certain like most of the time.
Why o why was Heitinga benched??
I think we will win it in Amsterdam but it won't be easy, Laudrup is coaching well and has learned a lot from Johan Cruyff that's obvious. Brondby plays a bit like Ajax-school en that was hardly surprising and yet they surprised Ajax yesterday. One more hurdle to take, let's hope they take it well and that Sneijder and Heitinga start in the lineup next time..

I was not amused yesterday but it's great to see Rosenberg score in his first important game (Y) I think he will do well and that he will grow further in his role and the same goes for Charisteas, they should keep him after all he is only playing for Ajax a few months come on give him the time he needs but if Charisteas is still the same after this season, sell him.

Arsenal :kader:
Ajax
Sparta Prague
Thun (or wtv) :chew:

Arsenal obviously is the big roadblock. But seeing Dennis Bergkamp return to Amsterdam would certainly be an emotion-stirring moment!

We should be able to get 9 or 10 pts from the other two teams, although Sparta may prove to be challenging.

WE CAN DO IT! Time for Ajax to be back in the knockout stages!!!

I agree I think we can go through in this group but Ajax has to work very hard, yesterdays 1st half was a disaster :nape: We were sitting in the stadium and it was really very poor play. Thankgod they played much much better in the 2nd half. But Emanuelson is one hell of a talent I tell ya, he played fantastic football, good passes, good incerceptions. The goal from Babel was amazing and almost impossible to do but he did it again, we were amazed to see Boukhari in the starting line up and not Sneijder, he was razorsharp when he came onto the pitch and scored two beauties, I think that the coach won't have to think very hard if he will start against Feye.. on sunday well done lads.
Arsenal again bloody hell what is it with this team, but the last games in the CL against them were not bad at all from our side, remember the goal from de Jong at Highbury ;)
Arsenal had a lucky win against us at the Amsterdam Tournament last month and every time we play against Arsenal we give them a hard time and I even think a win is possible, maybe now is the time..

First we have to take the next hurdle early in the season, a certain club from Rotterdam

Zlatan
25-08-2005, 08:34:PM
Meh what should we have to fear from a club who has difficulties beating Sparta. I think if we can disclose Kuijt from touching the ball(which sounds like a perfect job for Gryga) it will be an easy win something like 2-0, Babel(achtig) and some one like Rosenberg.

About the draw I think we stand a good chance of going through and even go through as first of the group cause Arsenal misses a proper experienced midfielder like Viera. But I think we'll have something to fear from Sparta Prague it's been always difficult to see them get beaten.

I think the guys will raise their game for the the CL games against Arsenal, like they always do for the big teams(Arsenal at Highbury, AC milan qrtr.). FC Thun? Like Martejen said. You know I'm not pissed or mad at all despite the fact that this game should've been won 3 or 4-0. Rosenberg was dire, no other words for it. The match was ours and Prague were not CL-worthy for about 70% of the time. Considering Thun's performance in London and Sparta's performance today, it's clear who will end up in 4th place (and no, not Ajax). Our finishing is terrible and as soon as Maxwell or Juanfran is fit, Blind will have to consider playing Babel up-front again instead of the left-wing.

I'm used to being disappointed time after time after time... all we can do is wish for the best. I have faith in Danny Blind.

Uhm, no. Grygera was outstanding today. He almost scored twice today... first that long-distance shot, than that flick with the back of his heel. Grygera--at this moment--is superior than Heitinga. Heitinga just proved how wrong it would be to start his ass. The red car (two yellows) was justified. You can't pull a player's shirt, especially when the ref is right behind you.

Rosales was great, good to see him back. Pienaar shouldn't play on the right wing, Rosales should. Simple as that. If Pienaar wants to play, he has to rely on other players' injuries or substitutions.

We had total control the first half, created more than a dozen chances and played simply good. Second half, we just lacked what it took to finish the game off. C

Ooops don't forget Emanuelson, he plays outstanding at the moment, hence the selection for the Dutch national team ;)
I still put my money on Rosenberg guys, he's normally a great striker, he just started with Ajax so I give him time and indeed remember Zlatan!
We all booooood him in the first year but that gave him wings finally.. let's hope that Rosenberg will do the same, according to him:"I know how good I am and I will score again". That's the spirit..

can I put the "AFC Ajax SGF Member" sig in my signature? (Zlatan and Silencer)

If your an Ajaxfan it's fine with me, join the club :)
Yeah I've been to the supportershome already and it looks great doesn't it :)
I'm on my way to de ArenA right now, gonna watch the game vs Roda tonight of course ;) Let's hope they'll win this cause we need a win!!
Roda is always a difficult opponent for Ajax (don't ask me why). Trabelsi is injured, same goes for Grygera and Heitinga and Lindenbergh are suspended :( so I'm curious how Blind will solve this puzzle. Juanfran is on the bench for the first time, hopefully Blind will give him minutes tonight.
BTW HSV won against BM today with yet another goal from Raffie in the 10th minute of the game :rockman: and the endscore was 2-0 to HSV which means 10.000 litres of beer for the fans from Bitburger!!

See ya later guys and keep your fingers crossed for tonight!

We have eliminated that syndrom unfortunatly we have a new one now, the last minute syndrom we seem to have a tendency to loose everything in the final minutes.

But let's get back on subject. Ajax is owning Roda ATM 3-0 and rising I think. To bad I couldn't be there.

Charisteas has scored twice in this match. Go Angelos! :rockman:

Well I was there and we had a ball :lui:
What a fantastic win, the 2nd goal from Angelos was a beauty, slides in at the right time and outplays the defender as well as the goalkeeper. Finally he showed what he is made of and that he can make a difference for Ajax and it was about time too ;)
4-1 win over Roda although the goal that was scored by Roda was a pity, Ajax dominated the whole game and played some outstanding football today.
Arsenal had a draw today against West Ham, if there is any time we could beat Arsenal it's NOW! Many injured players like Henry and Bergkamp and not to mention Pires but........ even though I'm very happy with the win we got a few more injuries including Sneijder!! :( I think it's his hamstring, also Maduro was grabbing his ankles at the end of the game, Rosales got injured tonight as well so that is bad news for Tuesday. I really hope that Sneijder will make it for the Arsenalgame cause he's so important at the moment. Good thing that Lindenbergh and Heitinga can play on tuesday.

Did you see Thomas Vermaelen play?? He was very good at the back, Roda wants him when Filipovic could go to PSV but Ajax says that this will not happen end of discussion. A new player came on the pitch, he plays for Young Ajax but this was his debut for Ajax 1. Emmanuel Boakye is his name, originally from Ghana and a hell of a player. Of course he is from the Ajax school, nr 1 in Europe and that's why they received an award this summer for being the BEST footballschool in Europe :amika:
Another debut was from Juanfran, yes he finally made his first minutes for the team and he played well.

Good game, it's always good to beat Roda, considering we often find ourselves in trouble against them. But let's remind ourselves that this is a Roda without the player that they build this team around--Aroune Kone. This team is falling apart and is in terrible form. Cisse is crap, Cristiano is coming off a 6-month injury and it looks like Huub has lost the plot.

The biggest up-side is of course Charisteas scoring. A lot of people were quick to judge him but like I said back in January: a player like Angel (or Rosenberg for that matter) needs half a year to adjust, at the very least. We're playing some really decent football of late (Prague Away, Ado home, AZ away first half) so we should be happy.

Debut for Juanfran and Boyake (Y) Boyake has a temper but he's incredibly passionate. I want to see more of him so I can judge him as a player.

More random observations:

--more crazy de Jong/Pienaar celebrations please! I loved how the Versatel commentator said "merkwaardige vreugde" (H)
--Boukhari deserved a penalty the first time, and he only got it the 2nd time because of he didn't get it the first time around. This proves that Luinge is only human. At the time of Boukhari's dive, Kujovic's arms were raised (H)
--Sneijder is carrying this damn team.
--Charisteas was really good. He's doing more of the "meevoetballen" that's required of an Ajax spits
--Pienaar on the right wing, glad that period is over. Rosales should start every game.
--Emanuelson should not lose his spot to Juanfran until he loses form
--What the hell was Babel doing replacing Rosales on the right wing? :|
--Who was supposed to be covering Sonko? I couldn't recognize it who it was...
--Hey, is the announcer/music thing something new this season? It's gay.

Zlatan
25-09-2005, 10:01:AM
Yeah Pienaar was a bit like his best season so far 2002/2003. He played excellent scoring and giving an assist is always great ofcourse.

Good thing Charisteas is finally off the mark although I do feel pity for Markus. I think he won't get the chance to prove that he's a potential topscorer of the Eredivisie.

Silencer
25-09-2005, 03:52:PM
Of course he will I have no worries about that, many times it's been said that Markus needs time to grow and he just started here remember..
He will get his chance believe me ;)
The injuries are a reason for concern at the moment although it seems that Sneijder's injury is not looking that serious thankgod cause we need him against Arsenal tuesday.

Lost against Arsenal in the 2nd minute :( damnnnnnnnn what a mistake by Boukhari and Emanuelson to give the goal away!
We played well, sometimes very good but we got too little tonight. The 2nd half was ours 100%. Arse were playing like bleeding cowards in the last half, stalling for time and subbing players at keymoments :sb9:
Good goal for Markus and well deserved anyway on his birthday, too bad on the other hand for Angelos but he will be back next weekend against Sparta..

can anyone tell me something about Hedwiges Maduro ?

Apparently Juve are interested in him.

Vagegast
12-10-2005, 03:42:AM
He's a defensive/controlling midfielder, only 20 years old. He's great at controlling the game, speeding up or slowing down the play at his will. He can also play as center back which he has done for the past few games because of injuries/suspensions of other players. In other words... the Next Frank Rijkaard.

In other news, looks like Johnny Heitinga is on his way out. 'Ik besef nu ik in deze situatie zit, dat het moment om Ajax te verlaten dichterbij komt.' Maar, verzekert hij: 'Ik zal nooit voor een andere club in Nederland willen spelen. Dat is simpel. Op dit moment ben ik ook niet bezig met een andere club in het buitenland. Alles is gericht op Ajax.'The fact that he's overrated by many interest clubs should make sure we get more than a decent transfer fee out of him.

Zlatan

Hedwiges is not ready for a real big club me thinks. Let him atleast wait until 2007, one year before his contract expires. Moreover why would Juve need another DM, they already have Emerson and Vieira I think that it's just a rumour like we hear every time we have a new talent in our hands.

Maybe a transfer of Johnny could help him out just as it worked for Raffie better for the player and the club.

Finally a win in the CL since a year and in 2nd place behind Arsenal, the next round should be possible to reach now. Btw did you see Henry :o that's why he is such a class player!
Anastasiou is a player every trainer can hope for, he never complaints about his role and when he needs to play he performs well for the team and he scores goals to boot which is a thing Ajax lacks at the moment.
Huntelaar is on Ajax' list I read and so is Perez from AZ, hopefully they will buy an extra striker in the winterstop. I still have every faith in Rosenberg cause he is talented enough but the strikerrange is thin with Ajax and we can always use another striker.
Heitinga will surely leave Ajax and I read that Escudé wants to leave as well so this means we need defenders as well altho Maxwell will be back for the remaining of the season and Juanfran.
Let's hope they do well against PSV :boohoo:

The game itself was f*cking boring btw, not a classic or smth, if we keep performing like this in the league I fear for this season guys!
Sure many many games to play and a long way to go so anything can still happen but nevertheless we need GOALSCORERS!!!!!!
We will get P$V in de ArenA in 2006 and then NO MERCY man P$V sucked big time today but winning with a dive......... :nape:
What's more more frustrating is that we ruled the pitch!! We were stronger during the whole game, P$V is one goalkeeper and ten defenders and they showed that today (losers). But as usual the thing that lacked Ajax was scoring goals :(

More news, Ron Vlaar has been spotted at the stadium last Thursday, seems he had talks with Martin v Geel and he don't want to sign for more years at AZ. He's been terrible... People are starting to doubt whether Heitinga is going to the kind of star people thought he was going to be.... and to be honest, I'm doubting it too now.

The only reason he's playing today is because Trabelsi is injured and de Jong doesn't want to play at right back. Right now, Blind opts for either Maduro and Escude over Heitinga.

A win is a win 2-4 for us against FC Thun but man what a bad game!
It's good to see that they CAN score even if it takes till the last dying minutes of the game offff that was tight! Of course, Sneijder showed how important he is for Ajax like always, Anastasiou scored again with the help of a defender and Nigel de Jong scored finally. Boukhari came on the pitch and scored immediately after a clever heel by Pienaar :)
Sneijder and Emanuelson were both the best players on the pitch for Ajax, Babel played brilliant but at times terrible too, Maduro has a formcrisis I think cause everything he does backfires.. Heitinga played ok in his first game from the start, he stopped a sure fire goal but his passes...... :nape:
The referee was a joke IMO, the ellbow that Sneijder received from that Swiss amateur who calls himself a defender was outrageous and should've been deep red!! :nape: unbelievable
Anyway..2nd in the poul and when we win or get a draw against Sparta Prague next game we're through again to the 2nd round... Now let's hope they can keep scoring in the league this weekend ;)
Next CL game is in Amsterdam so I'm confident that we get a win against Prague.

Well..... sucky sucky is an understatement I'm afraid WTF losing against f.....g NEC I can't believe it. 373 minutes without 1 goal!!!! :o:o in the competition this is a all time deep low record when is this going to stop cause i can't take much more of this. Doing well in the CL strangely enough and losing against NEC is a disgrace with all do respect to that club.
Emanuelson was yet again the best man of the match, the strikers were terrible again, Rosales had a great chance but that damn Babos was in the way and yes Rosenberg came on the pitch as a sub and almost scored with a header but again Babos stopped it.
In two weeks we'll face FC Twent at home in Amsterdam and Nkufo is coming back to form. WE NEED STRIKERS it's as simple as that, maybe we have Angelos but the best Greek player on the dutch pitches is clearly another one namely Giorgios Samaras this guy is awesome, maybe we could sign him along with Huntelaar who, by the way scored a fantastic goal again with a bycicle kick! the Ajax staff don't want to talk about a crisis but it's cutting it close!
7th place at the moment with Groningen is ridiculous guys just ridiculous. Sure many many games to go but if they continue playing like this I fear the worst. Sneyder joked today that it was a good thing there were play-offs this year come on what's that all about! Ajax is not playing like Ajax at the moment and it's irritating the hell out of me.
Blind said today that there was no drive at all from the beginning and that's exactly the case, I still have every faith in Danny Blind, he's an Ajaxman and is suffering, I think he can turn things around but it better be soon.
I've read today that Mitea is back in training, at least that's one positive thing but he needs rhytm first just like Maxwell, it's about time they came back cause Ajax needs them more than ever. Next week the Dutch team plays Italy so no game then but in two weeks I hope something changes cause driving to the stadium everytime and leaving with a very bad and rotten feeling.....well need I say more? :nape:

Jack van Gelder and Hugo Borst reported that Ron Vlaar and Klaas Jan Huntelaar are ready to sign for Ajax. I love Vlaar and I think he's a great prospect. The same goes for Huntelaar but I don't signing another striker is going to slove the problem. I mean, think of what this does to the confidence of Babel and Rosenberg? Let's not act hastily is all I'm saying. Instead of signing all these guys we should be looking for successors for all the players who'll be leaving this season: De Jong, Trabelsi, Maxwell and Pienaar. Not to mention that Heitinga wants out as well. We can't just bring in young guys from Jong Ajax and we'll need to sign several players next summer.

OK I agree with most you write but we really need a striker who produces goals and well...Huntelaar is just the guy who does that so we need him at least IMO.
Vlaar will be a good sub for Heitinga so sign him as well, good thing Martin van Geel is our Technical Manager now cause he knows Vlaar very well and Huntelaar already made clear that he would fancy a move to Ajax.

Zlatan
07-11-2005, 05:53:PM
Huntelaar and Vlaar are great Dutch prospects and sure will add something to the squad. But we gotta sell some of the players in their position aswell cause otherwise it might get to crowded.
But I actually think that atleast Vlaar is a subtitution for De Jong in a way, cause Vlaar can play where Hedwiges plays right now and than he can move on to the midfield and play as he should be. And ofcourse Huntelaar can help us with his goals but so can Babel and yes Charisteas and Rosenberg aswell...

Again...news of deals with Ajax players....

I already know Trabelsi and Maxwell but now we're linked with de Jong...any info of him? Prefers playing in the mid or D? strong points....weaknesses...etc...

thanks

Silencer
09-11-2005, 01:02:AM
"linked with de Jong"?? well probably in the gossipmags but de Jong breaths and lives Ajax. He said on a talkshow a few weeks ago that if it's up to him he will probably stay for a few years more in Amsterdam with Ajax but it depends on the respect for him and if he can play at his own position. "Ajax is my team" he said "and there has to happen a lot before I leave here".
Ajax will start talks with him soon to renew his contract.
But what kind of player he is, he's a good player but sometimes a bit egoistic, shooting from distances or hitting the ball too hard from close range which results in balls on the sidebar, over the goal etc. but he has his good days too and when he scores it's a beautiful goal. He is well known for his headers one of his specialties indeed, one thing is for sure, he works very very hard each game. Maybe ppl remember him from the fantastic goal against Arsenal two years ago in the CL, even Henry was impressed by him and wanted to change shirts after the game. He told de Jong that he would be a great player someday. I really hope we can hold on to Nigel cause he is a great player for the future as well..

so I guess he prefers the midfiled in wich we are packed. Good luck to him then, and hoping he signs with you guys soon.

thanks

Silencer
09-11-2005, 01:26:AM
Yeah I hope so too :)
His fav position is in midfield righthalf winger or the nr 10 position. Well you guys signed Vieira and Del Piero is your nr 10. If Juve was to sign him I'm afraid he would be benched so he better sign for Ajax for a few years more.

Zlatan
09-11-2005, 06:09:PM
He's born and raised in Amsterdam, which gives him some sort of affection to Ajax, well atleast a bigger one than someone from far outside Amsterdam. And which will help him signing a contract to play for us for a few more seasons. Although I don't think he'll refuse a big gun

BTW I heard Van Geel say that he hopes and thinks he can keep Maxwell for a year or two because of his knee injury...

Zlatan
15-11-2005, 11:45:AM
Vlaar is very close to signing for us. He said he decided to go for Ajax and wanted to come as soon as possible to Amsterdam.
He would be a welcome signing for us I think.

More transfer news, if Ajax fail to sign Huntelaar they might go for Kluivert. Don't know what to think about that. Ofcourse he still has the abillity of a top-class striker he knows how it works at Ajax and ofcourse as I said somewhere earlier never forget Vienna, but his last 3 seasons weren't exactly the best. Oh BTW AZ is also thinking about signing him, they might have more chance since van Gaal works there and Kluivert kind of sees him as a second father...

Silencer
15-11-2005, 06:38:PM
F*ck van Gaal (fat idiot) and f*ck AZ and your wrong there!
Kluivert is not that fond of van Gaal but he likes Gerard van der Lem much more and he's the one who called Patrick Kluivert and Kluivert said he was happily surprised and I quote 'honored' that Ajax called him!
Another thing, Kluivert has always said in the last decade that he wants to return to Ajax someday to finish his career here so there is really no choice for him really.. AZ is nothing more than sub-top no matter how good they play right now and they will always stay sub-top. Ajax will always be TOP in Europe even if they are not playing that well right now (read formcrisis) that doesn't matter. Ajax is Ajax and we will bounce back, fanclubs allover the world, Ajax is wellknown abroad. Ask ppl in France if they know AZ Alkmaar :nape:

Furthermore, It's known that Ajax and Heerenveen allready cut a deal about Huntelaar, all they need to do is fill in the blanks with Klaas-Jan and that's that. Within a few weeks they'll anounce the news and maybe they go for him AND Kluivert. Funny thing I've read is that PSV was hunting for Vlaar as well but he only wanted to go to Ajax hahahahahahahahahahahaha :lui: eat that 040 fans :ewan:

WE WILL BE BACK SOON!

NEWSFLASH (latest news update)

It seems that Kluivert's manager does not believe that he will return to Ajax but Kluivert himself is very enthousiastic and if it's up to him he will make the transfer this winter so he can start working, his goal is to return in the Dutch National Team and he believes Ajax is the best club to do that.
See, told ya so :lui:

Sneijder extends his contract up until 2009!
Great news since he's been one of the better players this season(together with Hatem). We'll be either seeing some big cash for him or we'll enjoy his talents for another 3-4 years. :rockman:

Yes that's great news indeed :D
Wesley shows his teammates what a real Ajacied is well done, I'm sure he will be a player who continues to be really important for the next seasons and I'm predicting he will be the new captain next year!
Sneijder is a guy who can show leadershipqualities, on the other hand we saw what happened when Raffie was captain a season back :o
Rosenberg and Angelos are not considering leaving Ajax if/when Huntelaar comes, they see it as a new challenge and Rosenberg is convinced his time will come now that's the spirit!
Let's hope we can win against Twente tonight, I will be going there anyway and it's about time we scored some goals...too bad Boschker is a fantastic goalie
I predict 2-1 for Ajax nevertheless..

Zlatan

The "leegloop" has started: Trabelsi, Pienaar and now Maxwell.

Silencer
20-11-2005, 12:28:AM
Who cares, Pienaar is not a big loss and Maxwell can be replaced by Emanuelson he proved that already. The only loss we will suffer is the leaving of Trabelsi :(
The good part is that we WONNNNNNNNNN against FC Twente tonight, first an own goal by Majstorovic from Twente but ROSENBERG scored the second so finally we scored again after more than 400 mins :o and bagged three important points!!
Good to see that Rosenberg scores and it was a nice goal as well, we've applauded him from the stands :) and guess what...... Steffan Petterson was in de ArenA as well to see his countryman and his heart is still white/red.
PSV got a draw against RKC what a game that was :o

Blind told the media that Ajax is not going to buy a new striker in the winter so that means no Huntelaar...big mistake if you ask me :nape:

Zlatan
20-11-2005, 10:14:AM
Well now that Rosenberg is finally on the scoresheet again Blind might got it right. Cause in the end Rosenberg was meant to be our main striker.

How come teams keep falling for the FK-header combination so often? Ajax seems to be the only one to use it and it works quite often...

New contract news guys. Vermaelen stays with us until 2010(if he doesn't get bought out ofcourse in the meantime). Great news IMO he did quite well in the matches that he played and he's only 19 if I'm not mistaking.

Dutch link (http://www.ajax.nl/show/id=1322/contentid=44770)
English link (http://english.ajax.nl/show/id=118083/contentid=44771)

Krohn Dehli has been resigned, if one can say it like that, by Ajax. He was trained at our academy got bought by RKC but decided he wanted to rejoin us again. Sound pretty weirdish, don't know what to think about it. :S

It's getting from bad to worse :kader:
9th place sure but some games were postponed till tomorrow and wednesday and if the other teams win it we could find ourselves on the 12th spot!!!
This is a real high time low if you ask me, I never experienced this, the baddest season in many years even though we are through to the 2nd round we won't make the quarterfinals like this :(
Belgian refs should remain in Belgium, this guy was blind as a bat! 100% goal disallowed for what???!!! No wonder the players were livid about it
Jean-Paul de Jong should've been sent off the pitch when he attacked the anckles of Rosenberg unbelievable, you must be blind if you don't see this as a ref. Verbist is a blind idiot who shouldn't be allowed to referee Dutch matches. My day was shot to hell when Ajax lost :(
Blind has to stop changing the team around all the damn time, players lose confidence in themselves and get insecure. I mean look at Heitinga, benched all the time and Ajax told him last week that they want to keep him for the future BE CLEAR to the players cause this sucks!
Keep the team as it is and play with them that's what I say, give the players a change to adapt and find their places in the team.

Next matches: RKC home (very tricky), Vitesse away and NAC away and if we can't manage to win against them at least one game it's going to be harder and harder. We are even more worse then the sub-top but my love for Ajax will remain as always. This is the time we need to unite fans and back our team for 100%. Ajax will bounce back cause we're AJAX AMSTERDAM WTF!! :jambo:

they're not getting selected because they play in the Dutch League, and a giant like Brazil won't care for their players playing in lower leagues.

Not true, Maxwell played for Brazil once just before his injury because the coach was intrigued by him. His future remains to be seen of course since he is coming back from a long hard injury but if he still is as good as he was last season with Ajax his future will be promising.
Remember, he was voted best player of the competition two seasons ago by all the players and coaches in de Eredivisie and he deserved that.

Zlatan
04-12-2005, 10:43:AM

VICTORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
4-1 against RKC we've wonnnnnn what a match.
I've just returned from the stadium boy oh boy what a day.
4 goals and a stunning victory people.
RKC scored 1-0 and we thought that was it, same as the last months but to our surprise Ajax scored 4 times so they are scoring again :)
1-1 Hedwiges Maduro after a pass from Sneijder
2-1 Wesley Sneijder
3-1 ROSENBERG (YES HE KEEPS SCORING) WHAT A SHOT!!
4-1 Ryan Babel

Finally, we went bezerk on the stands yooooooohooooooooooooooo 3 points against a team that's almost unbeatable this season so this is very very good since we play against Arsenal this week for the CL.
We will bounce back and we will come back, if we keep this up we can finish in the top 5 again but still a long way to go...
Two brilliant saves by Stekelenburg he is getting better and better each game.

Back to Ajax:
Well Ajaxfans it's official Nigel de Jong is leaving at the end of the season!!
He feels it's a step he needs to make to further his career don't make me laugh the lad is 21 years old but anyway if he wants to go fine.
Put a ribbon around him and deliver him at the postoffice, he claims to have an Ajaxheart but when the going gets tough he leaves the club transferfree.
If I were Danny Blind I would bench him for the rest of the season and play with the guys who remain with Ajax. Maybe we should sell him in the winter to get some money for him at least..
Still I thank him for everything he has done for Ajax and I will not booooooooo him next game with my F-side friends even if they will whistle and booooh him for the rest of the season. I respect his decision but the future will show if it's a right decision. I'm afraid he will end up on a bench with ManUtd or Chelsea like Jan Kromkamp at Villareal.

Ajax has big plans in the coming months, they've contacted Jan Kromkamp if he wants to play in Amsterdam and he likes the idea very much since he is always benched at Villareal and he wants to play for Holland at the WC 06.
Another player that has been linked with Ajax is Denny Landzaat and I think he will be the replacement for de Jong next season.
Vlaar is a NO GO!! the talks have been stopped because AZ is asking way too much for this player and that's ridiculous according to Ajax..

To be continued, tomorrow Arsenal...let's hope they'll get a good result cause it would get their spirits up and this weekend awaits Vitesse.

Zlatan
07-12-2005, 03:14:PM
Yeah WTF? I would've expected better from Nigel. :nape:

And I heard him promise at the end of last season when he was chosen best Ajacied of the season that he would sign a new contract. What means loyalty nowadays.
Well why should I care we have lots of players on his position anyway.
