JFG_Lancer 27-06-2005, 07:53:AM Has anyone else heard that Ruud Van Nistelrooy wants to leave United for Madrid? I can't find a link at the moment but i will post one as soon as i can. This is a stupid move we have too many world class forwards and we don't need anymore.
The Lampard Deal would be great but i don't see him leaving Chelsea any time soon

US 25m -> € 20m (C)
we shouldn't pay more than € 25m for him
mega montana 27-06-2005, 08:10:PM damn, there's next to nothing new today, i hate waiting :(
US 25m -> € 20m (C)

I agree with that.I think is a good deal.
djgperu1 27-06-2005, 08:29:PM it will be a good deal if we pay alot of money for robinho and he actually starts next season
i dont think we should pay that much to keep him in the bench :nape:
Becks is God 27-06-2005, 08:42:PM yea but even if he's on the bench next season, hes still very young and with Zidane likely to be retiring at the end of next season he will take Zidane's spot. And besides when he's older he'll be woth **** loads.
SB9Dragon 27-06-2005, 09:29:PM Wrong.
When on, there is no better player than Ronaldo in the world.
At the end of the year, Ronaldo was unstoppable. You make it seem as if Sheva is much better than Ronnie, that's false.
Damn right.
Seven8 28-06-2005, 09:38:AM any news on the team or transfers ?
ladylover 28-06-2005, 10:16:AM I heard that Madrid has made a final offer of 22M euro for Robinho and that Santos has to respond before the 8th of July. If Santos still refuse the offer then the deal is off....which means Madrid will end their interest in Robinho
Seven8 28-06-2005, 02:29:PM 1st Ramos & Garcia bid turned down
http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=287868&cpid=23&CLID=186&lid=&title=Real+close+on+duo&channel=spain
Hope Madrid can get them soon aswell as Robinho
Fernandez 28-06-2005, 03:18:PM I'd be in a tantrum if Robinho joins Arsenal.

Yeah me too....
Lot of news today.
http://www.marca.com/primeras/05/06/g0628.jpg
We have officially made a 15 million euro offer for Sergio Ramos. (http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,648018,00.html) This is perfect if we keep our other three world-class CB's. Sevilla wants 20 million euros.
Juanfran wants to play for a team from La Primera. (http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,648192,00.html) I think we should loan him somewhere, he is a great talent.
Italian rumors say that Real Madrid offered 18 million euros for Antonio Cassano. (http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,648163,00.html) Please No. :nape:
Osasuna will not gift Pablo Garcia. (http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,648092,00.html)
Robinho wants to sign before leaving Europe for Brasil. (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=20050628&xref=20050628dasdaiftb_2&type=Tes&anchor=dasftb)
Seven8 28-06-2005, 03:49:PM Thanks for the news Rusi
Casano is a crybaby - I hate players like him.
mega montana 28-06-2005, 04:22:PM thanks for the news antonio, i really hope we get ramos
(Y)
It'd be ideal if we got Ramos and kept Samuel, Helguera, Woodgate. Yellow Cards, injuries, etc. would not be a problem :)
If we could close out Robinho, Ramos, and Garcia transfers by the end of this/next week it would be perfect. I would be happy withthose transfers and if Florentino wanted he could get his Galactico, (Joaquin maybe) :D
Becks is God 28-06-2005, 04:46:PM im really confused about the Samuel situation. If he goes to Inter, and i think he probably will, is he going on loan or on a full time transfer?
datboy 28-06-2005, 05:08:PM if Samuel leaves, im pretty sure it's permanent. a loan deal seems unlikely.
i think Robinho's desire to go to Real Madrid, will be the key to his move. i hope he convinces Santos to let him go after Confederations cup final tomorrow. :)
good news about S. Ramos. i hope they accept.

i agree 100% with you rusi! :jambo:
as for samuel, i would think he would permenently gone, a loan makes no sense, playing for inter would not make him better in la liga, i say keep him
faceNside 28-06-2005, 07:53:PM Hi guys, dont know if you remember me, I havent wrote here for a long time. But im back again (H)
It had been though times for Madrid (defeat against Juve, league for Barça); but there are many reasons for being hopeful: we are constructing a solid and equilibrated team since the arrival of Luxa and Sacchi; we had an excellent 2nd leg in La Liga, being the team that gained more points; we have our B team in 2nd division, so our youngster will be more prepared when we need them; we have our new training fields almost ready...
I know we will see Real raising again from the ashes; and we will be here to see it, my fellows madridistas.
HALA MADRID!!! :D
raising from the ashes?
come on man, you can't win it all...Madrid finished secong in la liga..
Parker 28-06-2005, 08:08:PM http://www.terra.com.br/istoegente/199/fotos/robinho_03.jpg
Very young Robinho :D
I hope Robinho deal will be finalized after Confederations Cup finale, but 25 millions is bit to much for so young and inexperienced player. And Teixeira must be very stupid if he believe that someone will pay 50 millions for Robinho.
Maybe someone seen this already but this clips are amazing:

21 million euros is the final offer for Robinho. (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=20050628&xref=20050628dasdasftb_11&type=Tes&anchor=dasftbA00) Come On Santos :boyaka:

also, Patetico Madrid got Mateja Kezman (http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,648005,00.html)
mega montana 28-06-2005, 11:17:PM thanks for the links rusi
facenside, good to see you back!
in addition to ramos, garcia and robinho, i hope we get diogo too, his versatility will help out a lot since he can play solari's spot or back up roberto carlos (adios bravo)
I hope Santos will accept Real Madrid last offer.I would be sad if he sign in an other team.
IMO Robinho is worth less than 21 million euros, but he has potential to be of the best
Becks is God 29-06-2005, 02:05:AM http://www.tribalfootball.com/images/helguera_spa_fr.gif
Barcelona shock move for Real Madrid's Helguera:
Barcelona are considering a shock move for Real Madrid defender Ivan Helguera.
The Spanish international is entering the final year of his contract at Real and has been told no talks over new deal will be considered by the club until November.
Helguera is a former Espanyol player and would have no problem returning to Barcelona to join the Spanish champs.
Barca chiefs won't make an offer for the defensive utility during this summer's transfer window and instead will try to secure him to a pre-contract in January ahead of a Bosman deal at the end of the season - just as they have done in recent weeks with deals for Mark van Bommel (PSV Eindhoven) and Santi Ezquerro (Athletic Bilbao).
Helguera's former Real coach, Fabio Capello, is also keeping tabs on the situation and would love to bring him to Turin to sign for Italian champions Juventus.
http://www.tribalfootball.com/images/cassano_roma_fr.gif
Juventus won't panic over Real Madrid £12M Cassano bid:
Juventus are refusing to panic after Real Madrid made a £12 million bid for AS Roma striker Antonio Cassano on Monday.
Real tabled the offer via fax and AS Roma chiefs are currently studying the proposal, knowing they must cash in on Cassano this summer or risk losing him for nothing next year as he comes out of contract.
Juve directors have shrugged off the offer, confident it is bluff from Real to kick Santos into action over the sale of Robinho.
Real have handed Santos a July 8 deadline to accept their £12 million offer for the Brazilian or they will turn their attentions elsewhere. Juve are convinced the Cassano bid is simply a ploy to force Santos' hand.
all sound like bollocks to me.
mega montana 29-06-2005, 06:07:AM try not to post tribalfootball, its a crap site
becksfranksteve 29-06-2005, 06:50:AM i doubt helguera would go to barca even if he did leave .
ronnifan9 29-06-2005, 08:17:AM - Any actual transactions yet?
- Helguera to Barca...pfff!!!
- Congrats to Real Madrid 'B'...I'm starting my career with them in FIFA 2006. :)

Woodgate? :-P
ronnifan9 29-06-2005, 09:28:AM Internacional?...
Diogo?
...it's probably nobody. :|
ronnifan9 29-06-2005, 10:17:AM Speaking of Diogo...
I've tried to keep my FIFA 2005 career as realistic as possible. So I've added players like Carlos Diogo, Sergio Ramos, Robinho, (I sold Samuel to Fiorentina :( )
What would their current ratings be at the begining of the season:
Sergio Ramos (RCB)-20 y'old: att:72-74 mid:75-77 def:82-84
Carlos Diogo (RWB)-21? y'old: att:73-75 mid: 83-85 def:83-85
Would this be accurate guys? Anybody please :)
I play 3CB's, 2CM's, LWB, RWB, CAM, 2ST's w/ a defensive mentality... ;) @ Lexemburgo
Seven8 29-06-2005, 01:39:PM http://www.marca.com/primeras/05/06/g0629.jpg
Woodgate? :-P
Since I understand about 2 words in spanish what does the title/article say - 1st sining or something like that ?
if it's woody at least it would once be a funny article
The title says "Here is the first signing"
In the body it says
"Centre-Back
International
has EU passport
cost 22 million
and passed his medical"
It's Woody !
:lui:
Seven8 29-06-2005, 02:43:PM LMAO - I really hope Woody gets back to his best and stays injury free.
thanks Rusi
btw I read in my local newspaper that "Siemens Mobile" will step down at the end of the season from it's whole football sponsoring and that their "new owner company" of Siemens Mobile - BenQ would be the new shirtsponsors on the same terms that Siemens Mobile had with the teams if they wish to continue the deal.
So does that mean RM will get BenQ or will the stay with Siemens ? (Which was what I read before - that Siemens would "erease" the mobile slogan on the shirts)
Raikkonen 29-06-2005, 03:12:PM http://www.marca.com/primeras/05/06/g0629.jpg

yeah? i thought 'Siemens' (just Siemens) would be the main sponsor next season :(. do you have the logo of this 'BenQ' company, to see how would look in our kit?
Becks is God 29-06-2005, 03:27:PM Heres a quick mock up i just made of what the kit could look like if we had BenQ as our sponsers next season:

Seven8 29-06-2005, 04:17:PM Just to state
Siemens Mobile (was bought up by BenQ I think) and will 100% disappear on the Shirt.
Siemens could stay on as Shirtsponsor (since they still exist and just sold their Mobile Business)
IMO I hope it's gonna be BenQ
:hump: I love the mock up because they would play with my name on the Shirt (Ben) how cool would that be !!! *fingers crossed* hehe :clapwap:
becksfranksteve 29-06-2005, 04:23:PM i think the shirt looks pretty gay

mega montana 29-06-2005, 08:50:PM finally a new player!
i like what he brings to this team, he'll play a vital role as a defensive midfielder, either as a starter or backup

!?
EDIT :
YEAHHHH!!!!
We have someone !!

Your post made me laugh. I'm glad we signed someone too. HAHA....
ronnifan9 29-06-2005, 09:25:PM Anybody going to the July 18th game vs. LA Galaxy? The only way you can buy tickets is if you buy other tickets for the NE Revolution game on the 14th, but I'm still buying them at $125 dollars. (H)
pullstones_jr 29-06-2005, 10:19:PM Ok, Confederations Cup is over, so BRING ON THE TRANSFERS

Pablo Garcia's hunger for success in a big team, and c'on we're talkin about Madrid here...should make him even better than his days in Osasuna. :ewan:
I'm just being an ass about signing this guy before, but I'm happy for him because I know he'll be key in our team. (Y) @ Florentino...or whoever came up with this signing. Luxa? Sacchi?
Now that Pablo Garcia is gonna be a Real Madrid player i want the Robinho deal to be close already his word tell he really want to come to Madrid. :hump:

Diogo is very universal player, he's in R. Carlos, Cafu type, can play in midfield and in defense on both side. We need player like that.

Parker 30-06-2005, 07:56:PM Those fonts on 'probably' new kits are really ugly. Siemens logo instead of Siemens Mobile means more whiteness so i like that (Y)

Sad thing about that. I hope we will loan them at last instead of selling, they are too perspective to lose them especially Juanfran and Soldado IMO. And it's look like it will be very hard for Real Madrid B in Segunda.
faceNside 30-06-2005, 07:59:PM I hope they dont leave Madrid B now... If they really love Madrid they shouldnt. We need them to keep the team in Segunda.

- Good luck to those who do abandon us to get to Primera.
- Ok, so Robinho hasn't signed...at first it was done in the winter for about 18 million. Then the season went on, and speculation about him coming at the end of the Brazilian season but he still played in Copa Libertadores which is now over of course ONLY to go to Germany to play Confereraciones. He saw his friend R.Carlos, they talked about how it was the **** to be at Madrid. The kid only dreams of Real Madrid as he has said just....TODAY. Now what do you think's gonna happen??? Santos is of course rightly pissed off! But Robinho has made his mind. He wants to keep wearing WHITE tees (H) ...but in Madrid. :) Before July 10 we'll have El Senor Robinho signed. Now it's on to those "galacticos"...
the question is @ Vince (speaking from the German side), Raikkonen (speaking from the intelligen poster from Chile), el senor Antonio-RUSI (speaking from the high mountains in Appalachia), Nuno (that Portugese guy), any of you guys living in Spain, and all you loosers who like to roam our thread. Parker 30-06-2005, 08:17:PM Question isn't to me but I will answer :D
I think there are small chance that we sign Ballack and NO chance for Gerrard sign.

We have no room for them. Gravesen is the man I want in DMF. Plus we just got Pablo Garcia, so Gerrard and Ballack seem highly unlikely.

becksfranksteve 30-06-2005, 09:47:PM Gerrard is one of my favourite players and i would love to see him in madrid however we have no chance of geting him as he is about to sign a new contract. therefore i would have to go with Ballack

Yup, pretty much the same here. (Y) :)
pullstones_jr 30-06-2005, 10:25:PM I don't think we should attempt to sign either ballack or gerrard.
Gerrard has just won the Champions League Trophy and will want to defend it at Liverpool next year. Liverpool will also want to keep their paws on him and will only accept an outrageously high bid if they do decide to let go of him
Ballack on the other hand is getting a bit old, seems to be also happy in Germany, and is a bit overrated in my opinion. We at Real already have a great DM in Graveson, not to mention Guti who is also good in the defensive midfield role. If we acquire another defender we can afford to put helguera in DM to partner Graveson, so its not like if we are starving for playmakers and/or DMs
I think real needs to start getting more spanish players in its lineup b4 looking for overseas foreign pros. This season we should stop the Zidanes and pavones thingy. We need no more superstars, and we need neither ballack nor gerrard. Look at the last 5-8 league games for proof

datboy 30-06-2005, 10:33:PM i think Robinho should start over Owen. am i wrong or do anyone agree with me?
Hendrik 30-06-2005, 10:54:PM Maybe you should first look how well he adapts to the new league and the team. He did not play exceptionally at the Confed Cup imo.
Will Madrid sign micHaEL baLLAcK or stEvEN gerRARD? I'm not asking you who YOU want ;)
thaT's Up To mAdrId. If they offer Ballack a sh*tload of money he couldn't resist he will come, maybe in summer of 2006 for free.
Ballack's age doesn't matter. He can easily play on the same level for the next ~5 years.
faceNside 30-06-2005, 11:04:PM i think Robinho should start over Owen. am i wrong or do anyone agree with me?
Sure. In fact I think we can get rid of Owen.
Ronaldo and him dont seem to play very good together, dont complement each other. Tell many how many assistances have Owen given to Ronnie, or how many wall pass (sp?) they do.
Thats because Owen strangely tends to play the same way that Ronaldo... Only runs up waiting the ball in his feet, having no dribble. The man alongside Ronnie must help him to improve his game. So I think we are wasting a spot in the XI, its like we had 2 LB, or 2 GK. And Robinho obviously is much more dinamyc that Owen, having better pass habilities.
So i think he fit much better escorting Ronnie in the front.
Drvar 30-06-2005, 11:04:PM Robinho wont be a starter if he comes. He'll have to earn his spot, and it will take time before Ronaldo teaches him everything about burgers ;).
Kristian 30-06-2005, 11:16:PM Sure. In fact I think we can get rid of Owen.
Disgusting.
Are you that far up your own ass?
Listen to Drvar, he seems to have a clue on things.
Raikkonen 30-06-2005, 11:21:PM ok, let's see...
if Florentino calls me and says: "hey, i can sign either Ballack or Gerrard, who would you prefer?", i would say Gerrard, but only for €25m or less. (so, no :p).
my dream line-up (i repeat, dream):
------------------Casillas------------------
Salgado--Helguera--Samuel----R. Carlos
------------------Gravesen----------------
Beckham-----------------------------Raul
------------------Robinho----------------
---------Owen-----------Ronaldo--------
but the probable one would be:
------------------Casillas------------------
Salgado--Helguera---Samuel----R. Carlos
------------------Gravesen----------------
Beckham-----------------------------Zidane
-------------------Raul--------------------
-----Owen-----------Ronaldo---------
(the same we have been using lately...)
Bench
D. Lopez
Diogo
Woodgate
Pavon
Ramos
Garcia
Guti
Juanfran (or Figo, if he stays)
Robinho
+ some surprise signing
Robinho won't be a starter from the beginning of the season, unless he scores 20 goals or something in the summer tour. about Owen, we shouldn't sell him... we should sell Portillo. :jambo: (or loan him, i don't care).
faceNside 01-07-2005, 12:13:AM Disgusting.
Are you that far up your own ass?
Have you read the rest of the post? I have given a reasoned argumentation. So, I dont think my opinion can be catalogued as disgusting by your side as I´ve never disrespected you.
PS: Perhaps ive expressed myself wrong. I dont mean get Owen out of Madrid, but out of the XI. In fact I think hes a good sub for Ronaldo, but he cant play with him in the front.
Parker 01-07-2005, 08:38:AM OFFICIAL BULLETIN: Pablo García and Diogo are already players of Real Madrid (http://www.realmadrid.com/articulo/comunicado_oficial_pablo_garcia_diogo_24150.htm)

Drvar 01-07-2005, 09:11:AM **** the media trying to push this Galactico thing further. what the **** are we gonna do with Gerrard or Ballack? neither is a true AM or DM, and they just dont fit the system. Luxemburgo needs to tell Perez he doesnt need galacticos, we have enough. and HELL YEAH! to the signing of Pablo Garcia and Diogo! ******* excellent, all we need is Robinho now, come oooon. And maybe S. Ramos ;).

agree. a nice tranfer with Diogo - not 1000s of agents and co speaking and no big contract & fee negations. exactly what a transfer should be like.
What position do they play ?

im very happy about them. P. Garcia is the perfect backup for Gravesen and C. Diogo will keep Raul Bravo out of the A team forever! :rockman:

Raikkonen 01-07-2005, 02:53:PM :bouncy: :bouncy: two signings!

mega montana 01-07-2005, 07:06:PM Do both Diogo and Garcia have EU Passports?
yep, which is why the signings are very good
we will have only one non-eu spot, which will go to robinho, once he signs :jambo:
I think Florentino will make a strong push for Steven Gerrard. It depends what he offers Liverpool on whether Gerrard will come or not. If we don't get Gerrard, no other 'Galactico' will be purchased. The president really wants Gerrard and I think he is willing to spend a lot on him. Personally, I don't think we'll get him because he won't want to leave after winning the Champions League. I really wouldn't be suprised if Florentino offered 45 € million. I just don't want Florentino to give up a talented youngster like Juanfran for instance.
To answer your question ronni, I don't think Steven Gerrard will come to Madrid this summer, but there is still a possibility. :)

O Real, então, aumentou a quantia.

Real seal Robinho deal
Real Madrid have finally reached agreement with Santos over Robinho, ending any floundering hopes Arsenal had of landing the player.
For months, Real have been tracking the Brazilian starlet and they agreed terms with the player's representatives some months ago.
However, Santos have thus far refused all of Real's offers.
Arsenal made a move last week, but that has seemingly just spurred Real into sealing the move - although Robinho always underlined his intent to move to El Santiago Bernabeu.
Agreement was reached late on Friday at Santos president Marcelo Teixeira's house and Real will pay €25 million for Robinho - although Santos will only receive 60 percent of that, as the player's agent Wagner Ribeiro owns the rest of him.
The last straw for Santos was when Robinho failed to turn up for training on Friday, following his participation at The Confederations Cup in Germany.
Real's sporting director Emilio Butragueno was confirmed his delight at Robinho's impending arrival in the Spanish capital.
"Robinho has been the soccer sensation of the last year," he said.
"Although he is very young, his contribution to Real Madrid can be spectacular. Luxemburgo only took seconds in giving his opinion. Wanderley is enchanted by his arrival."
Madrid will now turn their attentions elsewhere, having already landed Robinho, plus two further South Americans in the shape of Carlos Diogo and Pablo Garcia.
One player still being strongly linked in England and Spain is Liverpool's Steven Gerrard.
It is claimed in both country's media that contract negotiations are not going well - with Spanish sources saying that Gerrard's huge demands are a tactic to engineer a move to Madrid.
It remains to be seen what will happen with Gerrard, but the longer talks ensure without progress - the more speculation about his future there will be.
faceNside 02-07-2005, 10:53:AM It seems they just translated the new in Lancer, but we will see...
I dont think that Skysports is a reliable source but if it true we get our first Galactico.

Figo, Florentino, and Luxemburgo will meet to decides Figo's future. (http://www.marca.es/edicion/noticia/0,2458,649592,00.html)
I used to think that Figo wanted to leave a.s.a.p. but with the way he has handled things this summer maybe he wants to stay. I would love to have him in Madrid aslong as he causes no problems.

Becks is God 02-07-2005, 05:33:PM Betis confirm Joaquin offers:
Real Betis have confirmed that they have received offers for Chelsea target Joaquin.
The Seville-born favourite of the Betis faithful has been linked with a move to either Chelsea or Real Madrid over the past couple of seasons and now Betis president Manuel Ruiz de Lopera has confirmed that approaches have been made.
Betis, who in the coming season make their debut in the UEFA Champions League, are loathe to lose the talented Spanish international but the spending power of Chelsea could yet tempt them into a sale.
However, for the moment, Lopera is keen to quell speculation linking Joaquin with a move away from the Estadio Manuel Ruiz de Lopera.
"Things are not calm," admitted Lopera. "It is just that we are not commenting on the offers that we are receiving.
''Why should we if Joaquin is happy?
"The offers that we have been receiving are not like those that other clubs get for their players.
''But we will only begin to contemplate an offer if it is close to the buy-out clause.
"Anyway he is getting married on July 8 so why would we want to bother him?
''We have promised to take the Copa del Rey to the church for him and he is very excited about that."
i hope its us, it wud be amazin if we got him.

Olé has the same news about Samuel leaving (http://www.ole.clarin.com/jsp/v3/pagina.jsp?pagId=1007280) :( :(. If Ramos turns out to be a flop (like Ivan Campo, Karanka...), i will fly to Madrid and shoot Florentino (6).
faceNside 03-07-2005, 10:32:PM The problem is that knowing the asshole of Del Nido, it wont be easy to get Ramos.
We wouldnt had to loan Samuel if Ronaldo or Roberto hadnt take years to get his EU passport :kader:
Raikkonen 03-07-2005, 11:23:PM Roberto will get his passport this month (or in August, in the worst case), and Ronaldo will get his in September, so, unless Florentino wants to buy another non-EU player, we don't need to sell Samuel to get Robinho.
Del Nido will act just like Da Costa (Porto's president) last year, and a) we will overpay for Ramos (30m) or b) we will get bored and someone will get him for like 1 more euro than our last bid. either case, we lose. (C)
btw, if we sell Samuel to get Ramos, and for any reason, Roberto Carlos is unable to play (injury/suspension), guess who would play as LB  . I will give you a hint: it's the favourite R. Madrid player... for Juve fans (6)
Roberto is getting his passport before the league begins. He said it himself.
It's bullsh*t what we are doing. Sevilla could now just hold Sergio Ramos for a really high price not to mention he could flop.
Why not keep Samuel and buy Ramos. I don't understand at all.
He will be better, I promise

Can Diogo play LB ?
Raikkonen 03-07-2005, 11:35:PM Can Diogo play LB ?
no. i've never seen him playing as LB, LW, LM or anything at the left. only AS think Diogo can play in the left side :fool:.
Samuel going to Inter isn't the worst deal ever just because we need him. 3m now and 16m next year is stupid. what if he rocks in Serie A? Inter can buy him in 16m and sell him to Juve or Milan in 25m (6). besides, if we are going to sell Solari and Samuel to Inter, we should negotiate an option for Adriano for next year :nape:
newbie original 03-07-2005, 11:50:PM Woodgate should be given a shot before being written off totally.:hump:
Raikkonen 04-07-2005, 12:10:AM there's no way that Woody can play better than Samuel, at least for a couple of months. first, he has to adapt to proffesional football. he hasn't play an official match in the last 14 months. Then, he has to adapt to our style of playing, and to all the pressure that implies to play in Real Madrid (specially as CB). And he has to do all of these things, without getting injured (the most difficult thing of all).
So, unless he's some kind of super-man (The Crystal Man (H) ), he won't reach Samuel's actual level for the first 3-4 months (with luck!). We can't afford to give any 'shots' to anyone, not anymore. We did it last year (Bravo) and the year before that (Mejia), and it didn't turn well.
The same thing goes with Ramos. He's young, he doesn't have experience in big clubs or at CL level, the spanish press has a lot of hopes in him, and he could flop easily in Real Madrid.
We sold Makelele thinking it was a good deal (30m for a 30 year old player), althought he was a key player. Samuel's deal is terrible, he's young and he can do a lot of things in our team, he can (and will) improve. If it took more than 3 years to convince Florentino to buy a good CB, let's not sell that CB 12 months later, please.

Imagine how versatile we'd be in the defensive half if we bought Ramos and held onto Samuel !!!
It makes no sense to sell him.

Samuel was bought as "the best CB of the world", and this season he wasnt the best CB in La Liga, even Helguera was far better, in my opinion

Raikkonen, you compared Sergio Ramos to Ivan Campo and Karanka.
Karanka was bought just like a good CB to sub Hierro - Alkorta CB duo. He was pretty decent, not that kind of player you can say he ****ed up any game cause a big mistake, he was consistent all the years he played here, plus he was quiet and correct although being in the bench. He won 3 Champions League, even playing 90 minutes vs Valencia (3-0). Hail Karanka!
Ivan Campo is a weird player, he wasnt able to play under-pression, he was very good in Mallorca, and he is being OK in Bolton, but in Valencia, Madrid and Spanish NT he was very very sucky :\ The best example of that player cant play under big pressure. It was not a star signing as Sergio Ramos is supposed to be.
Sergio Ramos, have showed a lot in a season, i dont remember a younger (18-19 years old) being so succesfully in hist first year in La Liga, even getting a spot in Spain NT, he is good attacking, can play RB or CB, even LB! We must get it! or Barça will do it. Valencia already offered 15m €
If Sergio Ramos is a flop, OK no problem, signing so close to Samuel and bvetter than Woodgate. But if S.Ramos is a true star we will have a spanish star playing the next 15 years for Real Madrid. This could be the best signing ever for Real Madrid :)
Crusad3r 04-07-2005, 02:24:AM http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=20050704&xref=20050704dasdaiftb_1&type=Tes&anchor=dasftb
Stevie Gerrard having problems to re-new his contract, Real Madrid would buy it paying 42!, :chew: 42m € !
Also the english press will talk about it tomorrow
:boohoo: :boohoo: :boohoo:
If we get for next season Robinho (almost done), S.Ramos (Done if Samuel leave) and Gerrard (the hard thing!) i will be very very happy, dont you? :jap:
Becks is God 04-07-2005, 02:34:AM i still think Samuel will be a Madrid player next season. Its all rumours, Gerrard will probably stay at Liverpool too, every summer they say hes gonna leave :ewan:

I think that same thing too and Samuel wont leave too.

but that isn't a good reason to sell him. if we would have to sell all the players that played way below their level this season, Raul and Zidane would be the first to leave. (6)
Sergio Ramos, have showed a lot in a season, i dont remember a younger (18-19 years old) being so succesfully in hist first year in La Liga, even getting a spot in Spain NT
change "Sergio Ramos" for "Nicolas Anelka", "La Liga" for "EPL", "Spain" for "France" and you will know why i have so many doubts. :fool:

i agree he could be the best signing ever, but why we have to sell Samuel to get him? that's way beyond my understanding :nape:. if during the season, Ramos is playing better than Samuel, then the argentinian will be bench and Ramos will start, but why we have to risk so much selling Samuel, if we can have both in our team??. Woody won't last two months without injuries :jambo:, and Pavon, Mejia and Bravo are crap compared to Helguera and Samuel. it pissed me off that the newspapers bash Samuel every single day, and they don't say **** about how stupid was Florentino for buying an injured player for 22m.
If we get for next season Robinho (almost done), S.Ramos (Done if Samuel leave) and Gerrard (the hard thing!) i will be very very happy, dont you? :jap:
no, because Gerrard would be a big waste of money. 42m to Liverpool + 6m per season for Stevie is too much for a player we don't need. besides, who would be bench if he comes? Raul? :brow:
-------------- Gravesen -----------
-- Beckham - Gerrard - Zidane --
--------------------- Robinho -----
----------- Ronaldo ---------------
cuz i can't imagine Raul playing as LW again, like in the late 90s, and if he does, Zidane would be bench in his last year at Real Madrid, and that would be really sad.
AS doesn't say **** about Samuel leaving, so i guess it was just a rumor from Marca. http://smilies.neo101.nl/smilies/dux-blij_thumb-up.gif

Inter close on Madrid men
by Lucas Brown and Nadia Carminati - created on 3 Jul 2005
Internazionale have reportedly reached an agreement with Real Madrid that could see both Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari move to the Nerazzurri.
The Argentine duo must still agree personal terms although Los Merengues appear to have reached an accord with the Serie A side as they look to overhaul their squad.
Both Samuel and Solari are reported to have flown to Milan to thrash out a deal, with an official announcement expected later this week.
27-year-old Samuel has singularly failed to impress at the Bernabeu and is expected to make an immediate return to Italian football after his £16.7 million move last summer.
If he agrees a move to Roberto Mancini's side the deal will constitute a season-long loan, for which Internazionale will fork out €2 million, with the option to make the deal permanent for a fee of around €18 million in 2006.
Solari, a dangerous left-sided winger, turned down a move to San Siro as part of Ronaldo's move to Madrid in 2002, although could now arrive as a free agent as Real look to free up the non-EU slots in their multi-talented squad.
Nerazzurri officials will continue talks on Monday in a bid to agree personal terms with the two Argentinian stars.
Meanwhile Internazionale defender Francesco Coco could be set for a move to The Premiership, with reports in the Italian press suggesting that Bolton have approached the Italian international.
The Trotters are looking to further their full back options after Vincent Candela's departure, although may have to compete with interest from Middlesbrough for the former Milan man.
Coco endured a frustrating season after suffering a bad back injury, and is expected to leave the Nerazzurri with Fiorentina also slated as potential suitors in Italy.
Raikkonen 04-07-2005, 03:47:AM i'm sure is bull****, because
Solari, a dangerous left-sided winger, turned down a move to San Siro as part of Ronaldo's move to Madrid in 2002, although could now arrive as a free agent as Real look to free up the non-EU slots in their multi-talented squad.
Solari has an EU-passport, he isn't using a non-EU slot :fool: , and he signed a new contract a couple months ago, so he won't leave for free :fool:
ah, i forgot: Santos 0 - 0 Juventude. Robinho didn't play and Santos' fans were very angry at him. They broke and threw to the field a big "Robinho, stay" sig
tottiiii 04-07-2005, 03:54:AM Ramos isnt even a natural CB...hes a right back if im not mistaken...How are you guys so eager to get rid of Samuel and bring in a kid.
He's has been exceptonal this last season at Sevilla. He's a great player at both RB and CB. He would be a wonderful addition, but it is stupid as hell to sell Samuel to get him.
Noone(except for Crus and the newspapers:P) is eager to sell Walter. :nape:
again I say, It wouldn't suprise me if Florentino made an insane, obscene offer for Steven Gerrard
tottiiii 04-07-2005, 04:34:AM ive heard nothing but good about him...but still, hes never played in the CL or anything and to bank on him as a replacement for a vastly experienced defender who is still pretty young is a little strange...I think Luxemburgo is a very good coach so im not ready to call it plain stupid..but if he was that terrible.
Yeah, I agree 100%
If you look back a few pages I put a bunch of hate posts towards Perez on this topic :$
I understand why Solari is leaving though I wish he could stay, that is the position that we have the most coverage. Poor Santi . :(
Seven8 04-07-2005, 06:48:AM If we get for next season Robinho (almost done), S.Ramos (Done if Samuel leave) and Gerrard (the hard thing!) i will be very very happy, dont you? :jap:
I'd be very happy with that.
Ramos the kid got talent (no doubt about that) - why not sign him he's young, spanish and if he cracks and can't bring it, we still could sell him. But don't sell/loan Samuel.
IMO I don't like Samuel and his way of play but unless we get a proven quality CB we should not sell/loan him.
Any idea when will there be the new shirt presentation and the new "squadnumbers" list available ?
faceNside 04-07-2005, 09:30:AM and Pavon, Mejia and Bravo are crap compared to Helguera and Samuel.
Well, IMO last seasson Pavon was more consistent than Samuel, in the matches he played. Plus he´s faster. A great backup.

Robinho has just reiterated in a press conference that he´s decided to leave Santos right now (despite of the asshole of president he has)
http://www.marca.com/edicion/noticia/0,2458,649991,00.html
Also, Madrid official web is putting a lot of pressure over Santos, releasing news about Robinho every day.
It's been a while since I see a player going out on such a limb to be transfered. I feel bad for Santos fans, but their president is a dick. :kader:
Also, it is looking moreas if Gerrard will come to Real Madrid. If Florentino wants him, now is the time to make an official offer.
Voltaic Borusse 04-07-2005, 03:31:PM Why does Robinho want out of Santos so much? (besides his mother getting kidnapped)
Chance of a lifetime to play for the world's most famous club. He'll probably get paid more. Wants to play in Europe and also of course him mom is a factor.

but Makelele left because he wanted more money (he wanted to be pay as a 'galactico': 6m). Ronaldo has a lower wage that the one he had in Inter, and he wanted to win something, that's why he moved to Madrid (6) . Beckham left because SAF was acting like an ass.

Why does he want to move ONLY to Real Madrid? because he's a Madrid fan?
Seven8 04-07-2005, 05:03:PM Makelele wanted more $, RM didn't offer, Chelsea did, aswell a nice transfer fee, the non-show at training was a way to either offer me more $ or I'll go - warning from him.
besides Becks took a pay cut aswell as a even more "gigantic" cut into his imagerights. He had a fall out with SAF and that means your out no matter what (Stam, Becks and otheres before). He then choose RM because they had/have Zidane, Carlos, Ronaldo, Figo in their ranks, aswell as Casillas and Raul. Barcelona even ofered more $ to ManUtd but Becks didn't want to go to Barca, becasue at that time, they were quite "poor" squadwise.
So I hope RM will offer around 20/25 M £ for Gerrard and they will have to accept, because Gerrard himself would want a move to RM.
Crusad3r 04-07-2005, 05:16:PM Why does he want to move ONLY to Real Madrid? because he's a Madrid fan?
If Alfonso was a Barça fan, Robinho is a Madrid fan since he was 4 years old!
mega montana 04-07-2005, 05:19:PM robinho's situation is completely different than makelele's
makelele was trying to get more money, saying either give me a raise or sell me
robinho just wants to play for madrid, not for monetary reasons, it's not that hard to figure out :jambo:
also, this steven gerrard situation is getting more and more interesting every day! :rockman:

and for the record, 1.2 x 3 isn't 2.3 (6)
Why does he want to move ONLY to Real Madrid? because he's a Madrid fan?
a) he's a fan
b) two of his idols/friends play there (Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo)
c) Luxemburgo was his coach last year at Santos
d) he likes La Liga over Serie A and EPL

Robinho could earn in Santos as much he will earn at Madrid, cause many brazilian companies were putting money to equalize Real Madrid offer. So is not a matter of money.
Moreover, many other teams could pay the same as us or more (Chelsea, Juve...) Its funny that u speak of high salarys when Barça is preparing an offer of 12 m € / year for Ronaldinho.
The reasons of coming to Madrid are:
1) Luxa is here
2) We were the only club interested in him in October
3) Real Madrid is historicaly the best team of Europe
