a bit early, but still, good first post :). after the season, you can maybe add top scorers, and top assist-players. maybe a seperate page for the player stats, but not on SG, just a link to that page in this thread's first post.

Hopefully u guys can turn him into the Real Madrid waterboy if he wishes to stay with Real Madrid :ewan:

i think some one should get the new thread rolling on with the important stuff. (no not how we hate vitu). but things like transfers n so forth. i will take the honours.

Miguel looks to be a great buy if Madrid can pursuade him to join.
can anyone tell me about Jorge Andrade?!? like how much he would be and how long on his contract is left for Deportivo???
and what happened to the Phillip Lahm brigade who wanted this guy?? i think Madrid should try and get him. he is listed as a LB/RB which is great! if salgado or r.carlos is out then he could fill in either side. but i dunno if he will be benched. but if robbie.C is on the way out then he'd be perfect replacement.

and also Pizzarro14 believe it or not Raul Bravo is.... :nape: ....is..... :S part of the Spanish national team. here it is in writing: http://www.euro2004.com/tournament/players/player=43777/index.html

anyways its good to see that we're being linked to a defender this time rather than an attacker!! what do u guys think.

Lahm is Bayern property and will return from loan this summer. He's out 'til next calender year and i seriously doubt Bayern would sell their #1 left back. We barely ever sell players we need.

Robinho has confirmed he is in talks with the Gooners! :kader:

I want him to join Real but i have no problems with having him here in England as there will be more coverage of him! :rockman:

I could see him suiting Arsenals style of play but he will definitely have to bulk up a bit coz he will get smashed. He's not a thug though, which is a pre-requisite for becoming a Gooner. Arsenal would surely have some fine young, left footed players if Robinho joins (Reyes, Van Persie). He wants to play with Henry though.

Theres only one solution; Bring both Henry and Robinho to Madrid! lol

Although highly unlikely. Maybe Robinho could be at Barca with Henry and Ronaldinho :brow:

-----------------------
http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=281227&CPID=8&CLID=&lid=2&title=Robinho+reveals+Gunners+talks&channel=Football_Home

Brazilian wonderkid Robinho admits that Arsenal have been in contact with his representatives about a sensational move for the Santos man.

Robinho has long been touted as the next big star to emerge from the historically football rich grounds of Brazil, and both Real Madrid and Chelsea are believed to hold a strong interest.

The 21-year-old has broken in to the Brazilian national setup after consistently dazzling displays for Santos, and has been praised by Pele amongst others for his prodigious technique and ability.

Despite initially remaining cautious about interest from Arsene Wenger's side, Robinho has now conceded that he is in talks with The Gunners and would love to play alongside French star Thierry Henry.

"Arsenal have been in touch with my people in the last few days and they have made me aware of the offer," Robinho told the News of the World.

"I am very proud that they are looking at me because a club like Arsenal doesn't come in for you every day.

"It would be a dream for me to play alongside Thierry Henry, we will continue to talk."

Arsenal will reportedly launch a £14 million bid for his services, and if Robinho makes the move to Highbury he would join the likes of Robin van Persie and Jose Antonio Reyes in a strike-force blessed with fledgling talent.

However, after being strongly linked with a move to sign the talented youngster in the January transfer window, Real Madrid remain at the head of the queue for his prized signature. :read:

AS today:

for the midfield there's 4 players who's on Sacchi and Luxemburgo's list.

1. Steven Gerrard, Liverpool
2. Mickael Essien, Lyon
3. Michael Ballack, Bayern München
4. Pablo Garcia, Osasuna

Essien has already stated that he wants a Bernabeu move over Chelsea.
Abramovitch and Florentino are apparently fighting for Essien and Gerrard's signings.

out of those, i think it would be best to get Essien. he would be like a new Makelele and he's only 22 yrs old. he got great offensive skills too.

We wont get essien because we can't have another no european player and i don't think he would like to be benched. and I almost certain we wont get gerrard now that liverpool have won.

i dont like any of the four mentioned. Essien is a non-EU player, Gerrard imho would lose half his skills if he left Liverpool, i just have that feeling, Ballack is not ofr Madrid, same for Garcia.

How is Ballack 'not for Madrid?'

Let's try and be sensible here... Ballack is a world class central midfielder who would add stability to our midfield defensively as well as somebody who can create. He is multi-dimensional and a great player to have.

Ballack is like a cheaper Gerrard.

Ballack is not just an offensive midfielder. He has good defensive skills and would partner Gravesen in the middle. When we have the likes of Zidane, Figo, Raul, Solari, etc. in midfield, then Ballack would not be an offensive midfielder.

It'd sort of be like:

I didn't know Liverpool asked for that much. Still, he's four years older and has only one year left in his contract.

Ballack is used the best as a classic No. 8 with one playmaker in front of him and a defensive midfielder backing him up.

I'm guessing no, but can Real Madrid A share players with B?

Real Madrid B can share players with the A team only if those players are younger than 25 y/o. But (if i'm not mistaken) if Real Madrid B gets promoted to 2nd Division, all the players must have professional contracts and they can't share players with the A team :(. That's the prize for having two pro teams.

If they are promoted, we could send R. Bravo there (H)... and he will send the team to 3rd div next year :(

anyone know where real madrid b play their games?

i think they play at Las Rosas, the same place where the A team trains. But next season, they will play at La Ciudad Deportiva del Real Madrid(H), our new super-facility.

Zidane played mostly crap this year, but still he play way much more than Guti.

Kick Guti buy Robinho, kick Casillas buy Buffon, kick Raul buy C. Ronaldo.
I don't like that mercenary politics, with player that have Real Madrid for nothing. With every year this team is less and less Spanish. :S Board treat true madridistas like sh!t.

Casillas and Raul wont go anywhere, dont believe every rumour you read. And every team has their "Guti", a very good player that sits on the bench, and helps the team when called up.
And Zidane is just Zidane, every coach we've had has kept Zidane in the team, because they know that at any time, he can turn the game, no matter how crap he's been. Guti should go to another team, hes too good to sit on the bench here though. Sh*t happens when you have so many class players :).

I think this article is a little bit biased... Guti is not the best player Madrid has had in the last ten years [so it states the article], I think the best player has been Raúl. [Even though the last two campaigns were not-so-good, the overall record is awesome]. I also think Guti has had many chances to probe what is he made of and he has wasted 'em [i. e., against Juve]. On the other hand, well... why doesn't Solari complain as well? Imho, Solari is waaay better than Guti, and yet he is still in the bench.

it says that Guti is the best 'canterano' of the last ten years. Raul isn't exactly a 'canterano', because he started in Atletico de Madrid youth academy, and when Jesus Gil y Gil closed it, he moved to Real Madrid :jap:

Guti is complaining because, in spite of the fact that he can play in a lot of different positions, none of the coachs (Capello, Del Bosque, Toshack, Luxa, Camacho, Garcia Remon, Queiroz...) has given him the chance to be a starter for an important part of the season. He has been a bencher since he moved to the first team.

Solari isn't complaining because he has a new contract :brow: , and he's more humble than Guti. He has said a lot of times that he can't be a starter over Zidane, because in his opinion, Zizou is one of the best players of the world and a living legend (Y). Besides, Solari is often called to his NT and he has played and showed his worth in other teams (Atletico, River Plate). Guti has been in Real Madrid all his career, and he thinks he can't fight for a place in Spain NT or improve his game if he's always on the bench. In some way, he's right, but moving out wouldn't be good for him or for Real Madrid.

IMHO, Luxa is a great coach. As soon as the next season starts, we will see his full potential, since... this last campaign, he took the team in mid season, and, yet, look what he did. In the second part of La Liga we were the best team, closing the gap between Barca and us from 13 points [correct me if I am wrong] to only 4. With new players [and hopefully the comeback of Woodgate] we will be one hell of a side.

My thumbs up to Luxa!

Becker: Ballack could leave

Michael Ballack's agent has warned that the Germany international could leave Bayern Munich.

Contrary to reports in Bavaria suggesting the influential midfielder will sign fresh terms with Bayern, Dr Michael Becker believes his client may be attracted by a move abroad.

Real Madrid are one of the clubs tracking the former Bayer Leverkusen star and Becker admits that few players would turn down the opportunity to represent the Bernabeu giants.

"Everything is possible," Becker told As. "He has a contract until 2006 but it would not be very intelligent on Bayern's part to hope that he fulfils it because next year they would not get any money if he leaves.

"Ballack knows he is going to sign his last great contract."

Real could face competition from other clubs with Barcelona past admirers of Ballack's talents.

"I do not know of any player who would not like to play for Real Madrid," added Becker.

"It is certain that Barcelona tried to sign him but Bayern did not want to lose their player then.

"However, the circumstances are now different."

I seriously would wish him all the best if he does really head over there and wouldn't worry about him getting a starting spot. I know he will and he has like 4-5 more years in him and still be class.

This isn't Luxa's fault. He did what he thought was the best for the team: to sit one galactico. He used Figo as RW and CAM, and Figo didn't play good in any of those positions. Meanwhile, Owen was scoring in almost every game, coming from the bench.

In La Liga, with Luxemburgo as coach and:
Figo as a starter: 14 matches, 9 W - 1 D - 3 L -> 67% and out of CL
Figo in bench: 8 matches, 6 W - 2 D - 0 L -> 83%
(i guess he didn't lose his spot "inmediately" )

He could have sit Raul, Beckham or Zidane instead of Figo, but i guess none of them would have bitch around like Figo . I agree that he was one of the best players in the first half of the season, and he has been great for the past 4 years, but we must think in the "greater good": the team. If Luxa thought that the team would be better w/o Figo in the starting XI (but coming from the bench in every match), Figo should had agreed with him. And the fact is that the team was better w/o Figo. If Figo doesn't like to be on the bench, he can move to another team. I will feel sad, like i have said 100000 times, because he's one of my favourites players, but as a Real Madrid fan, the team comes first to me.

It's Figo's call. Luxemburgo already said it: "I wouldn't have any problem if Figo wants to stay another season". But if Figo wants to start every game until he retires and/or an extension until 2007, he should go. :jambo:

Thats your opinion, sadly he is 33 years old and his perfomance lat season have been 0 in all the important matches, when Figo was benched Real Madrid played MUCH MUCH better.

Its said but he is over for Real Madrid. He sucked a lot in many important matches, being in very very bad shape.

Someone could say that Carlos is also small player and he played great in Europe, but Robinho is even smaller (is that possible:rolleyes:), and he's not so strong as Roberto.

yeah, he's so skinny :(. But he can go to dinner with Ronaldo, i'm sure he will gain a lot of weight there (6).

Owen is small and skinny too, but he's fast as hell, like Robinho, and the brazilian has more talent. We should wait and see, i'm sure Luxemburgo will know what to do, he already coached Robinho in Brazil.

Real Madrid invite Juventus to bid for Samuel

Real Madrid are ready to listen to offers for defender Walter Samuel.

The Argentina international has failed to live up to his £18 million price-tag in his first season in Spain and Real intermediaries have been put on notice they're willing to do business over the former AS Roma defender.

Juventus coach Fabio Capello is a big fan of Samuel and is keen to be reunited with the stopper. Agents have already been notified of Real's willingness to discuss a deal - with a mooted swap involving Brazilian midfielder Emerson on the agenda for the Spanish giants.

Real GM Arrigo Sacchi is ready to cut his losses over Samuel, particularly as his Spanish passport won't arrive until Christmas, complicating the arrival of Brazilian winger Robinho from Santos.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if we have to sell Samuel to get Robinho, there's nothing to discuss. Bye Walter :ewan:

as long as we get a new defender, it's ok to let him leave.

yeah, we know... but Luxemburgo knows him very well, and i guess Robinho will start in bench. In Diego's case, he didn't fulfill the expectations because he had to replace Deco, who was amazing at Porto, and people thought he was going to be as good as him. Diego is a very good player, but there was too much pressure on him.

How about this line-up?

we can't play with 12 players :fool:

we won't get Maldonado because he doesn't have an european passport :(. Instead, Real Madrid will sign Pablo Garcia (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=20050602&xref=20050602dasdaiftb_14&type=Tes&anchor=dasftb). imo, he's not as good as Maldonado, but he would be a nice add to our team. The agreement would be public after the Copa del Rey final (June 11th).

i think Luxemburgo will use Raul as midfielder next season, so we will have 2 forwards (Ronaldo and Owen, i hope) and 3 players who could play as midfielders or forwards (Raul, Guti, Robinho), because Portillo would be loaned to Zaragoza (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?d_date=20050602&xref=20050602dasdaiftb_53&type=Tes&anchor=dasftb) :jap: . I really hope Owen stays, he has been great in his first season at Spain, but RM could sell Owen for around 23m euros after his performance vs Colombia. (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?xref=20050602dasdaiftb_17&anchor=dasftb&type=Tes&d_date=20050602). I wouldn't sell him even for 30m, because we would have only 1 forward (Ronie) if he leaves, and there aren't too many great forwards in the market to replace him. Besides, Guti could leave for 20m euros (http://www.as.com/articulo.html?xref=20050602dasdaiftb_20&anchor=dasftb&type=Tes&d_date=20050602) :(. The club is counting with him for next season, but if he wants to go, and someone offers 20m or more for him, Real Madrid would let him go :nape: .

Anyone wants to place bets on Portillo scoring against us next year? Ex-Madrilenos ALWAYS feed on us.

On another note, imo selling Samuel is one of the worst things we can do. We have no one who can consistently play well in his position(Pavon IS a bit suspect, and we'll have to wait and see if Woody will bear fruit) so we will have to spend big bucks to replace him( Rio Ferdinand etc.) We'll probably have to buy a backup keeper to replace Cesar too.

P.S. What happened to the young attackers and midfielders that played in the cup matches last year like soldado, alex perez and even juanfran? How about if we build them into quality players for now and forget about buys like essien and robinho?

Portillo is garbage.

He won't score against us even if he played, but that's irrelevant because since the Morientes fiasco, Perez will not let loaned-out Madrid players play against us.

Anyways, Portillo is terrible, couldn't score for Fiorentina in Serie A and was being dropped from the team consistently. He'll suck at Zaragoza, too.

this all 'RW thing' it's because we will only have one RW in the squad (Beckham). Both Joaquin and Cristiano can play as RW and LW, so any of them would be a great sign.

What happened to the young attackers and midfielders that played in the cup matches last year like soldado, alex perez and even juanfran? How about if we build them into quality players for now and forget about buys like essien and robinho?

they're fighting for the promotion to second division (more info here (http://www.soccergaming.tv/showpost.php?p=1808947&postcount=118) ). if they get promoted, i guess those players will stay there. if they stay in third division, some of them will be promoted to the first team or loaned to another first division team.

Anyways, Portillo is terrible, couldn't score for Fiorentina in Serie A and was being dropped from the team consistently. He'll suck at Zaragoza, too.

Media
the Media/Press in General writes what they want to sell their papers, make money - pure and simple.

most stories are untrue or only roumour , A said that B heard that C did etc...

And now nobody should come and say well that's the "real madrid" news paper m*rc* etc - yes some papers get tipped off sometimes but if everything that is written in (Sun, Mirror, Marca, AS, Bild, Blick, Gazzetto dello Sport etc would be true) FFS Real Madrid would own 200 forwards, midfielders etc, and strangely the same players as Chelsea...etc

I miss the good old times. (f*ck bosman!)
Player X transfered from Club A to B for the Amount of - and thats it. and the paper the contracts were written on were worth something.

But thats all Off Topic a bit:

Madrid needs

I can't see Bayern actually accepting this offer of 15 Million for Ballack. I may have not seen much Bundesliga matches this year (lets say 3) but last I heard wasn't Ballack still THE MAN? Why would Bayern, who just won another title, sell one of their best players for only 15 Million? Or has his career gone totally down the drain while my back was turned and my FSC schedule f*cked up?

and a probably line-up...
*That would put Owen back on the bench again after Luxa gave him a starting position over Figo. probably not gonna happen.
*C.Ronaldo or Jaoquin would not want to come to Mardrid to start on the bench. One of them on for Zidane.
*Same i think with Sergio Ramos, i'd put him in for Helguera in that lineup
*poor old Guti gets left on the bench again.
*and i dont think getting Ballack and P.Garcia is a good idea. i would use Gravensen and Ballack as they are in the above lineup but if one gets injured they could swap positioning and some of the bench players could be used

but we definatley need that LW position covered.......HEY! I GOT IT! LUIS FIGO CAN PLAY LEFT WING!!!!!!YYYAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!
(deep sigh)....i'll just keep on dreaming........
this is what i would have luxa do:

--------------Casillas--------------------subs (diego lopez)
Salgado--Ramos----Samuel--R. Carlos----subs(woody/Ivan/Pavon)
--------------Gravesen-------------------subs(Ballack/P.Garcia/Ivan)
Beckham-------Ballack-----(Jao.C.Ron)----subs(guti/zizou/solari/figo)
------------Raul----Ronaldo-------------subs(Owen/Robinho)

'subs' means subs for that(those) position(s).

Raul linked with Reds move

Spanish striker Raul has intimated he may be ready to leave Real Madrid and Liverpool is reported to be his likely destination.

Raul's place in the Real team has come under threat from former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

The 27-year-old believes he has yet to peak, but has called on the Bernabeu club he joined in 1995 to tell him if he still has a future there.

"After 11 years here I want what is best for the club," Raul said.

"If at some time I have to sacrifice myself in order for the team to progress then I will do.

"If the club calls you up and says you have to go then as a player you have to be prepared to look for a way out that benefits everyone.

"If I listen to the polls in some papers, it looks as though I should leave now.

"I still feel useful to the club and believe I have not reached my peak, but I don't want to be in the way. All I want is for the club to be clear with me."

Owen joined Real from Liverpool last summer, while Raul's former strike partner Fernando Morientes made the switch to Anfield in a £6.3m deal in
January.

From the Daily Mirror:

Liverpool are preparing one of the biggest transfer coups ever as they line up Real Madrid skipper Raul. The Champions League all-time top scorer has visited the club four times in recent months, and contact has been made with the 27-year-old over the possibility of a sensational move to England - after he indicated he is ready to leave Spain

Maybe Owen will start next season :brow:

Who said that?

They should be in jail right now, because that's an open, direct threat.
