K3nzo 03-12-2005, 03:19:PM Thanks to Mr Co my expectations to next tuesday are low as never....
I had so much faith on him but every time we have an important match he messes everythng up so...
SAYONARA CL!!! :jap:
:ewan:
K3nzo 05-12-2005, 11:07:AM Another LF for us, the Christmas is coming and the newspapers go crazy let us wait and see how many players will they name on this silly season, and i bet Benfica will win!
This time is the brazilian Michel Bastos, playing in Figueirense, 22 years old, 1,79 m and 71 kg. And guess what, he is a very offensive player, one of this year Brazileirão revelations with 10 goals, and the top cherry... already played in Holland and Co knows him VERY WELL (like Sonkaya)... :boohoo:
Feyenoord in 2002, loaned to Excelsior returned to (2003/04) Brasil for Atlético Paranaense, that bough 50 % (other half still owned by Feyenoord). Then played for Grémio (2004/05) and this season for Figueirense, where was named "craque" by supporters!

MaSsiVe 05-12-2005, 06:25:PM but if you ask me we don't need another LB
Sinama-Pongolle a possibility for Porto?
.....would be great but I think it won't happen, the kid must earn a sh'tload of money which I don't see us paying to any player.
MaSsiVe 10-12-2005, 11:07:PM U. Leiria - Porto
1-3 FT (H)
Brilliant second half from us, we could have even scored more goals.
Seems like being a goal down woke us the f'ck up, and our players presented us with a massive display.
MoM, Paulo Assunção. Simply amazing :|
Diego was fabulous too, with Quaresma and Pepe also having a great match.
Hope we keep this form up, I love the way our team plays when our players are inspired :rockman:

Was not too happy with Cigano and our first half... Second half was an awsome display.
btw I'm going to take back everything I ever said about Pepe if he can make me tremble of joy again like he did yesterday.
Paulo Da Silva 11-12-2005, 03:06:AM Paulo Assuncao has been great every game...didn't expect this from him
bmpv666 11-12-2005, 11:33:AM Pepe has been improving a lot, you can notice that. he doesn't mess up as often as we used to last season. now he just needs to stop trying to make those long passes up forward, like that one that gave sporting their goal last week...
[dfm] 11-12-2005, 12:25:PM Man our second half of yesterday's game was amazing, what a great performance by our players! Diego was brilliant, Quaresma was great too, Pepe was solid like a rock(didn't expect he could play at this level...) and Paulo Assunção is probably the surprise of this season, does anyone knows how much balls he recovers in every game? :O Still we have some players that are clearly far away from his best form, specially Benni(his confidence is so low...) and Lucho(he is very tired, he definitely needs some rest...). Apart from that we did a good exhibition overall and it was very important this win since Sporting lost and Nacional won again, hope we can keep the 1st place until the end of the year and if we can increase the gap to our main opponents that will be great... (H)
MaSsiVe 11-12-2005, 03:21:PM yeah who would say we'd be praising Pepe today....he has in fact been very solid with minor exceptions, even that f'ck up vs Sporting was kind of bad luck.....
Paulo Assunção yesterday must have easily recovered a dozen balls or more....he was outstanding, seemed to be everywhere the team needed him to be (Y)
Lucho is indeed very tired, it shows every match that goes by....the thing is that his class makes up for it, but he definitely needs a rest.
I feel Benni is improving, yesterday he was more loose than usual, and showed more will to help the team.
That's an improvement, but he still must show a lot more to make the supporters :drevil:forget:drevil: what a b'tch he's been.
MaSsiVe 12-12-2005, 08:08:PM Postiga finally off, unfortunately for him not to Betis but to St. Etienne :nape:
Loan deal with option to buy at the end of season.
good luck for him, hope he's happier there...who knows if he's gonna be as successful as Pauleta in France :brow:
SCP19O6 12-12-2005, 11:15:PM even that f'ck up vs Sporting was kind of bad luck.....
Not even you believe in that.
MaSsiVe 13-12-2005, 05:21:AM Seems like Boloni wants to take Meireles on loan to Rennes till the end of the season.
Don't think we will/should accept the offer, there really are few true defensive midfielders on the squad, and Raul's talent can be very important throughout the season to prevent for example a possible form breakdown by Assunção or even an injury (god forbid).
Full article:
in oJogo
Paulo Da Silva 13-12-2005, 05:24:AM Co Adriaanse has horrible loyalty to his players and turns his back on them too quickly. I remember how he basicly sucked Raul and Postigas dicks, saying how great and important they were and how Postiga would be our starting #10 ans ****. One bad game by each and they are never heard of again...................Pathetic
MaSsiVe 13-12-2005, 05:32:AM do you really think Postiga is on the B team because of performing badly in one game?
there must be something more to it dude.
I was also disappointed with Raul being left out suddenly, but the truth is that the next chance he had he blew it (against Inter, between other stuff his brain froze in ttheir second goal).
Either way, I rate him to be a great prospect, and think his time in our team will come.
::shinji:: 13-12-2005, 11:20:AM what Porto is doing to Raul Meireles and Postiga reminds me of Benfica and Maniche/Deco :( Hopefully those great players get the opportunities they deserve at new clubs
yagami 13-12-2005, 11:56:AM ok , raul meireles is sold !
fcp sad is having a strategy of selling all the good players , so raul meireles is sold , i am sure.
Co Adriaanse has horrible loyalty to his players and turns his back on them too quickly. I remember how he basicly sucked Raul and Postigas dicks, saying how great and important they were and how Postiga would be our starting #10 ans ****. why do you rate someone pathetic , when you say nonsense stuff ?!?
yeah , he turns his back on them too quickly ... yeah ... cof cof cof JORGINHO .... cof cof cof Bruno alves would never play again in his life .... COF COF COF RICARDO COSTA ......
in fact , if one bad game , and they are never heard of again like you said ... then ... fcp would not have eleven players to startup with.
MaSsiVe 17-12-2005, 11:25:PM Porto-Penafiel
3-1 FT
result lacks volume, very pleasant performance by Porto tonight against a piss poor Penafiel.
Lucho seems tired, but still, has class written all over him. he showed it on his goal and his ball to Quaresma on the third was just brilliant.
about Quaresma, words start being short for his performances.
AMAZING PLAYER.
Lisandro definitely is the new Derlei (H)
and Paulo Assunção keeps proving himself at each match that goes by. He's simply everywhere the ball is :|
Lead increased to 4 points = :rockman:
Paulo Da Silva 18-12-2005, 02:51:AM Both Argies have been awesome for us.
MaSsiVe 18-12-2005, 03:20:AM yeah they have 6 goals each on the season so far, and show tremendous consistency in their game.
Real quality players (Y)
Goo Goo boy 24-12-2005, 01:23:PM aBola says Moretto will sign for porto..He's an awesome gk (and you won't hear this from me a lot) but we already have Baía, Helton and Bruno Vale, it would be stupid to sign him and sell any of the last three, and it would be even worse to sign him to replace Paulo Ribeiro (who's highly overrated imo), because then he would be our 3rd gk, which would be lame, cause a gk of his calibre has to play.
I hope this is BS.
MaSsiVe 25-12-2005, 01:33:AM I hope this is BS.
that makes 2 of us.
I think he's a decent player, but nothing special.
plus, ffs: why the hell would we want another keeper
Ruinz 25-12-2005, 11:06:PM that makes 2 of us.
I think he's a decent player, but nothing special.
plus, ffs: why the hell would we want another keeper
To piss off SL Merda..
Tiago_10 26-12-2005, 01:31:AM To piss off SL Merda..
Not even on Christmas time he ?
You must be one of those guys who sits in the sofa watching Benfica games with your anti-Benfica scarf and singing "Eu só quero ver Lisboa a arder". :fool: :nape:
Oh, at least you got that right, the main reason why (if) Moretto goes to your club it's because of your now senilest than ever president.
Spending money unnecessarly. (Y)
Virgo 26-12-2005, 02:58:AM f*ck Moretto, he wouldnt be a starter here anyways (H)
let's get Toldo and win the league.
MaSsiVe 26-12-2005, 03:18:PM Oh, at least you got that right, the main reason why (if) Moretto goes to your club it's because of your now senilest than ever president.
Spending money unnecessarly. (Y)
why do you even bother answering stupid comments is the main issue here....you've just gone as low as him.
please people, leave the thread free of dumbassness. thanks in advance.
and apparently, Moretto would eventually come to fill in Helton's spot who may be leaving to Corinthians.
bmpv666 26-12-2005, 11:14:PM that makes 2 of us.
I think he's a decent player, but nothing special.
plus, ffs: why the hell would we want another keeper
i heard that Helton might be on his way to Cruzeiro...
MaSsiVe 27-12-2005, 12:41:AM i heard that Helton might be on his way to Cruzeiro...
I had already read that somewhere too, but to Corinthians instead of Cruzeiro:
apparently, Moretto would eventually come to fill in Helton's spot who may be leaving to Corinthians.
To be honest, I think it's a waste of talent to have Helton, or Moretto if he comes, warming up the bench.
We should bet on having 1 or 2 keepers from the cantera ready to play in case Baía has to miss a match or so.
and while Baía is good enough to delay his own retirement, we should keep Bruno Vale loaned to some club for a couple of seasons more, and than count on him to take Baía's spot.
For me, Bruno's more than capable of being as reliable as Baía is for us :jap:
Ruinz 05-01-2006, 04:18:AM Anyone know if Almieda will be available for Sunday's match?
MaSsiVe 06-01-2006, 01:11:AM The man's fit, so if Co wants to he'll play.
MaSsiVe 10-01-2006, 06:00:AM Anderson will wear the #30 shirt :)
I, as any other portista I guess, have great hopes on this kid.
Hoping he lives up to all the expectation surrounding him :jap:
On another note, it seems like we've lost Peixoto for the rest of the season :(
It's now time for Cech to show what he's made of....
Goo Goo boy 12-01-2006, 04:19:PM Miguelito please come. Marek and Miguelito would be a nice M&M duo for the left side of our defense.
We need a freakin RB IMEDIATELY!
Yesterday's game was bad and boring, but Bosingwa's performance was below the bottom. He's an awful player, at least as a RB (I can't remember how he did as a DM).
bmpv666 15-01-2006, 05:03:PM Seitaridis would be a great player for that position, he should have never left Porto :nape:
Goo Goo boy 15-01-2006, 06:05:PM 100% with you.
And i hope these Adriano news are freakin fake, bcs i don't like him at all...piss poor slow and lazy.
yagami 19-01-2006, 02:17:PM And i hope these Adriano news are freakin fake, bcs i don't like him at all...piss poor slow and lazy.
slow ? took him 4 minutes to score a goal for porto
lazy ? he scored twice :)
reminds me when maniche came from benfica ( when mourinho was coach ) ... nobody wanted him ... yeah right ..
MaSsiVe 20-01-2006, 12:41:AM I don't like him too, but if he keeps scoring like this I'll be more than happy for his presence in Porto :junior:
btw great to see Meireles showing how good he can be, I really rate the kid and was afraid the Inter match was gonna sideline him forever.
bmpv666 06-02-2006, 10:20:PM ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:kader:
sorry, couldn't help it.
but i'm soooooooooo frustrated at today's result against Braga, and at Co's choices :( :nape:
Goo Goo boy 06-02-2006, 11:19:PM If Super had anything but air in their heads they'd worry about smacking people that make a living at portistas cost, and manage to ruin every match they can with our jersey. Bruno Alves should pay a fine!
He should clean all the stadium's toilletes with his tongue...
Honestly, if I had the power to, i'd hire a hitman, to atleast hit him in the balls.
Co, please, he's failed every time he was given a chance. You'll be hugely moronic if u give him any minute more.
Edit: Forgot to say that our display was very good and that Bruno Alves should wipe the other 13 players' asses in the dressing room.
MaSsiVe 07-02-2006, 12:02:AM Bruno Alves belongs in the death row, I think we all agree on that one.
I f'ckin hate him, he's the only player we got capable of ruining a game for us in less than 5 minutes.
Really frustrating result tonight, we had a very good match and should have easily reached the two goal margin.... Bah :(
K3nzo 06-03-2006, 05:38:PM We're back to good exhibitions!!!
Yet i'd take Ivanildo out! He made a good pressure on the 3rd goal but dont think that's enough!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v290/pobodonorte/jogadores/cech.jpg
Cech made a hell of a game!! Why isnt he playing regularly? the boy has skills, he's fast, has pace, good passes and even dribles!! He stunned me on Nacional game!!
http://img1.eurosport.com/imgbk/footbl/all/big_md-i214039.jpg
And the usual from "El Comandante" Lucho Gonzalez, back to greatness after last weak balance; Pepe is gettin regular too, the kid is ver good when he doenst do crazy acts, the kid is our defense, very quick and almost unbeatble on air!! I feel like saying that he'll put Luizao in a pocket in a few time!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y212/suspeito/fcp_nacional_01.jpg
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y212/suspeito/fcp_nacional_02.jpg
Good start from U17 Anderson, the stadium went wild on every touch, every pass and run, and i can imagine how it would be if scored that on that run he made, i must say kinda luckly but he shoew style! Still he doesnt convinces me yet, the boy has to work a lot and i think he's too fat, he has a huge butt and legs, couldnt he get even faster?
http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4477/2028/320/11094.jpg Great to see Ibson back again, only for 10 minutes but he sure made himself appear again!
And also McCarthy scoring!
Let's see if crazy Co keeps it together and we can run from:
-->Sporting: they now have 2 difficult games. Home against Boavista and Leiria away!
-->Benfica: easy game at home, depends on Liverpool game, but either way it seems easy agaisnt Naval. And then an away game at Rio Ave, they rnt playing much, but they have a new coach and they always play tough against big clubs!
-->Braga: will face the peaceful Belenenses away and then home agaisnt Maritimo, this much difficult i imagine!
Porto will face Setubal on their stadium but they dont represent that much danger as they did still we have to take care, and then we'll receive Paços Ferreira at Dragao and this only has a possible result!!!
GO PORTO!!!
RuiCosta_10 06-03-2006, 05:59:PM Pepe is gettin regular too, the kid is ver good when he doenst do crazy acts, the kid is our defense, very quick and almost unbeatble on air!! I feel like saying that he'll put Luizao in a pocket in a few time!
And i feel like saying that you could be one of the greatest humorists in Portugal...
MaSsiVe 06-03-2006, 06:08:PM Yeah it was really nice watching Porto play yesterday, and it'd be even nicer if we kept this kind of form in the future.
too bad Anderson didn't finish that chance, but he showed a few glimpses of class (H)
Loads of will, search for the goal like there was no tomorrow...stuff we were doing in the beggining of the League but with a huge freakin hole in our defensive line and little accuracy when the scoring chances came.
But now we have Pepe in amazing form, he acts like a giant broom cleaning up every danger surrounding our goal.....
Benni seemed to be completely loose and had a GREAT performance, making me remember about the time when he first came to Porto on loan, then he played with imense confidence in his own capacities, and showed no mercy in front of goal.
Generally, every player did extremely well!
can't wait for the next match to hopefully watch it all over again :lui:
___________________________________________
And i feel like saying that you could be one of the greatest humorists in Portugal...
ever heard that a person is entitled to its own opinion?
and you can add me to that "greatest humorists in Portugal" list as I too wouldn't trade Pepe for Luisão considering his (Pepe's) current form.
Vinnie Jones 07-03-2006, 02:35:PM Pepe is a good player and his new role fits him perfectly even so i think that Luisão is clearly a better player with more potencial (I can easily see Luisão in a top european club in a few seasons but i have my doubts about Pepe). Only my opinion, for the record.
MaSsiVe 07-03-2006, 05:24:PM yeah it's your opinion and I respect it m8, at least you didn't mock anyone for thinking differently (C)
The main thing that makes me prefer Pepe over Luisão (who is obviously a great CB too) is that Pepe doesn't have bricks for feet like Luisão has;
Luisão has shown more consistency in his game, but he's also much more experienced than Pepe who's also younger.
So I believe that if Pepe keeps this confidence in himself and in his skills, in a few years he will probably be in a top club and who knows reach the Brazilian NT too.
and I don't doubt that Luisão can reach that kind of status too :jap:
K3nzo 08-03-2006, 06:08:PM And i feel like saying that you could be one of the greatest humorists in Portugal...
Well, i thought i could have an opinion, but i guess i was wrong!! I,m very sorry Mr.RuiCosta_10 if i for some how touched ur feelings or spolied ur night!!! i'll never say that again!!
BAH!!!! YOU MAKE ME LAUGH AS WELL!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!
i that makes me an humorist, YES I'AM!!!!
oh.. i good luck for this evening! i hope "mr big guy" doesnt screws it up!!
ps: i truly want Benfica to pass! dont take me wrong!
MaSsiVe 11-03-2006, 02:45:AM Setubal x Porto
0-2 FT (H)
Setubal, they suck; someone should just put them out of their misery.
Not a great performance by Porto, but more than enough to get the win.
what a great, GREAT match by  Lucho, everything that came out of his feet was just perfect.
Meireles was also brilliant out there, at each week that goes by he shows more class and tranquility in his game.
He's lately been in the scoring sheet too which is also a very good thing to help him rise his confidence levels.
3 more points in the bag, we just have to keep them coming :shades:
Goo Goo boy 11-03-2006, 04:48:AM Skinny Meireles showing his credentials...Life's great.
INFESTA 11-03-2006, 11:38:AM The 1st half was boring to the point I almost fell asleep, but it was more Setubal's fault than anything. It ended up being a clear win for us, not giving away many chances, which will raise our momentum and confidence levels.
I'm with Massive: Lucho is incredible! What a player! He makes everything look so simple, he's the true 'descomplicador' of the game of football. His breakthrough pass from the midfield in the 2nd half was just :|.
Why doesn't Co play the subs earlier, though? We were clearly going to win the game, Setubal quit almost after our second goal, why not give someone like Ibson - who played well last week - another chance? Really, what is the point of subbing Hugo Almeida with 2 minutes to play when you're 2 goals clear???
---------------------------
I've been wanting to say this for the past weeks but somehow always forgot to mention it: big, huge THANK YOU to Porto's board, or the logistics, or whoever decided to bring back our old and truthful hymn in the home games! :jap: :clapwap:
SCP19O6 11-03-2006, 01:44:PM That injury that Quaresma made deserved the red card.
MaSsiVe 11-03-2006, 06:18:PM He was looking to the ball when his boot found the other guy's thigh, so I think it could have been unintentional.
Only Quaresma knows if he meant it though, but if he did, that's a clear red card not given.
I've been wanting to say this for the past weeks but somehow always forgot to mention it: big, huge THANK YOU to Porto's board, or the logistics, or whoever decided to bring back our old and truthful hymn in the home games! :jap: :clapwap:
right on, loved the decision too (Y)
K3nzo 13-03-2006, 12:35:PM I dont think Quaresma ment to hurt the player! He was trying to control the ball and the Brazilian player came from behind, when he was already doing that movement!
The first minutes were painful, i was preparing for another ****tin game when i saw Setubal's tactic, 5-4-1, with all men behind the ball, just painful! The ref was a dick, allowing them do as many fouls as they could to stop the game! Luckly we got that goal from a corner and everything got easier!
Plus
+Meireles keeps showing why doesnt Diego plays, it takes much more than skills to play!
+Lucho, "El Comandante" rules, best player of this League says it all! (i bet somenone will say am a comediant again )
+Quaresma with all that "afection" from the home crowd he kept playing focused, and great move on 2nd goal
Minus
-Lisandro, i kekpt begging fro him to replace Ivanildo, and i keep that opinion but he lacked something!! I home game might bring him to better shape!
-Quaresma IF (IF IF IF) he meant to hurt Adalto!
K3nzo 16-03-2006, 06:07:PM :lui: FCPorto-Sporting next Wednesday fo Portugal Cup semi-finals :lui:
what to expect?
MaSsiVe 16-03-2006, 06:17:PM we gotta win this time man, it was already bad enough conceding that draw in the League match :jambo:
Goo Goo boy 17-03-2006, 11:42:PM It will be too bad if we can't get a single home win against a rival.
I mean, we made three games against our rivals (two of them at home) and the best we did was a draw..nah, not enough.
bmpv666 18-03-2006, 03:52:PM there are rumours in the press saying that Ajax wants Adriaanse as their coach for next season.
i just hope those rumours confirm to be true!! :rockman:
MaSsiVe 18-03-2006, 04:19:PM Not gonna happen :rockman:
MaSsiVe 19-03-2006, 12:23:AM Porto x Paços de Ferreira, 3-0 FT
Very solid game tonight (Y)
we're playing really well atm, most players are amazingly confident!
again, not much needed to win the match: concentration, will, and class.
Anderson was a nice surprise in the starting 11 and did pretty well IMHO, I thought he was gonna keep the ball to himself a lot to show off and stuff (a natural thing in a 17 year-old I guess) but he revealed a surprising maturity in his game.
Did a bunch of good passes, defended when the team needed him to defend, tried his luck from long range, and in the end that goal assist (beautiful one I must say) sealed an overall very positive performance.
His ball control and skills don't fool a soul, just like cotton :rockman:
But MoM for me was Paulo Assunção.
The man's coolness and intelligence on our defensive half is awesome, he plays with such ease it doesn't even seem to be real.
great match by Cech, Bosingwa and Meireles too....plus Lucho and Quaresma at it again, they're simply brilliant.
Hell, I'm thinking the whole team did very well tonight :jap:
Agora venha a lagartada! :lui:
Paulo Da Silva 19-03-2006, 05:52:AM Great game today
bmpv666 19-03-2006, 03:55:PM Anderson is just an amazing player! his passing is top notch, his drible skills are way above the average and the best part is that at the age of 17 he plays like he was 20 something already :D
INFESTA 19-03-2006, 04:57:PM That was one of our best and most confident games of the season. Sure Paços was very poor, but the team did really well and Anderson brings that extra something -mainly organization upfront - we've been needing. Hopefully these last goals will motivate Benny, because we have been desperate in the final touch department all season.
On top of our performance is the fact we played before our rivals. I'm convinced Benfica will drop points in Vila do Conde and say their definite goodbye to the title race. As for Sporting, they got a tough match tonight and, hell, they can't keep winning forever, can they?
This might be our weekend!
K3nzo 20-03-2006, 02:57:PM Recult of a wasted morning:
http://www.soccergaming.tv/attachment.php?attachmentid=127448
See u there!! Anyone goes too?
MaSsiVe 20-03-2006, 04:18:PM Was that only 10 €?
The long wait in the line really pisses me off though, I might just not go because of that :nape:
K3nzo 20-03-2006, 07:37:PM Yes, only 10 €!
And there's cheapers! You can get some seats by 8€!
When i got there about 9 am, the waiting line was about 20 men before me, when i got my tickets it had doubled, i was around the shopping center nearby, and when i came out about 2 hours the line was huge!!!
MaSsiVe 20-03-2006, 11:42:PM The price sounds very good, the problem really will be to go to the stadium and buy the ticket as I live in Gaia and haven't got much free time, specially in the morning.
But I'll definitely try to go there tomorrow, thanks for the tip dude :)
K3nzo 23-03-2006, 02:45:PM IN THE FINAL!!!!!!!!!!!

bmpv666 09-04-2006, 06:30:PM is anyone going to see the cup final? i intend too if more people are going, we could arrange a meeting there. :)
what do you think of it?
btw, does anyone here knows when will the tickets be on sale?
MaSsiVe 09-04-2006, 08:39:PM I won't go because it's against Setubal, unless I get free tickets.
K3nzo 10-04-2006, 02:41:PM Depends how much those tickets cost, since Lisbon is pretty far too!
Paulo Da Silva 10-04-2006, 05:32:PM Hey guys i was watching the games this week with my dad and we had a great idea. How bout Porto sell benni and steal Miccolli from Benfica. 5 million?we can afford that.
Now looking to next season how bout we also steal Abel from Sporting andour team is set for next season. hahaha
just an idea
MaSsiVe 10-04-2006, 07:45:PM I'd specially enjoy the Miccoli switch

Already spent my budget on the WC match...
I got my FCP x Leiria ticket, though. Nice experience, watching the cup final.

Man you really made me wanna go now, I never went to Jamor.
I'll try my best to be there this time, especialmente para poder ver a Ana Malhoa ao vivo, esse grande ícone da nossa praça :amika:

i was there also, and in that same place of the stadium! :D
K3nzo 13-04-2006, 05:26:PM Saga will join FCPorto next season? Rumours say that, but others say is on his way to Luz! Should we sign him and get rid of McCarthy or Adriano?
INFESTA 13-04-2006, 10:33:PM He's a refined version of Hugo Almeida. Having both on the same team might be one too many, though...
Here's what I'd do: sell McCarthy to the EPL for a good buck, get rid of Adriano, Postiga and all the loaners. Use this money to buy Liedson. Laugh at the lagartos. Win the CL again. Pretty simple plan. (Y)
K3nzo 14-04-2006, 12:38:PM We culd make a huge pack of forwards and trade for a good one: Postiga+Adriano+Sokota+Pitbull+Hugo Almeida+McCarthy joining also Leo Lima+Leandro+Leando do Bonfim+Sonkaya+Bruno Alves and turn them into cash, then we'd get better options like Sagan and Liedson!
K3nzo 14-04-2006, 03:22:PM Todayi'll go to Dragao to see the 1st final step to CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!
I hope to see a big crowd, i hope the players play consciently and dont start the party too soon, otherwise we may pay it! Sporting is still looking for a chance and we have to go to last game to Bessa already champions!
GO PORTO!!! :rockman:
MaSsiVe 14-04-2006, 10:39:PM The match was crap, but at least we won.
Great game by Meireles and Assunção once again. Pepe was imperious as always :jap:
btw I didn't know about Co's mother dying too, shocking stuff :| the man must be in deep inner pain by now, and it was really nice to see all the players surrounding him after we scored (Y)
Oh, and I must say I already hated Elmano Santos before the match, but this time he really got into my nerves. What a f'cking dumbass, joke of a referee.
Oh well, 3 more points. 4 to go (H)
K3nzo 17-04-2006, 11:27:AM KIL THE REF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That man was hilarious, him and Alan, lucky he played on my side of the pitch most of the time and i could see him closely! Man, i wished he could make a single right pass!! The ref was a clown :fool: , he's just dumb, and could he not see the fouls clearly, not show yeloow cards when needed, specially to Leiria palyers who kept stop Porto attacks, and then send Lucho off! :kader: Let's kill him i say!!!!
:lui: :jacko: :bouncy: Well, 2 point to go!! :bob: :clapwap: :fluffy:

MaSsiVe 25-04-2006, 01:09:AM We are the champions my friends, congrats to all of us :junior:
and btw, thanks to K3nzo for the cool scarf (H)
MaSsiVe 26-04-2006, 05:51:PM so what do you guys think about João Paulo joining us?
it's not confirmed yet but Jorge Jesus is already speaking like if it is a done deal:
"Esta foi uma época fantástica e, mais uma vez, sai para uma equipa grande um jogador que treinei, neste caso o João Paulo."
(H)
I believe it would be great for us to have him on the team, the man's really talented and would suit our defensive style perfectly.
Perfect back up for Pepe, we needed a CB with the same carachteristics :jambo:
K3nzo 27-04-2006, 05:32:PM I agree with it! He knows our league pretty well, he's young, strong, makes all places on defence and also plays defensive miedfield!
Bring Miguelito also, he can make all left side, i bet he kicks Alan!!
bmpv666 27-04-2006, 09:11:PM and don't forget Zé Castro from Académica :D
Paulo Da Silva 28-04-2006, 03:18:AM we defintely could use some signings.
Players i Would like to sign:
Saganowski
Ze Castro
Miguelito
Joao Paulo
Adriano
a RB
we are set 4-5 new players, all used to the league
sell:
Diego
Bruno Alves
Alan
Benni
RuiCosta_10 28-04-2006, 05:53:AM I believe Zé Castro already signed for Atlético Madrid, might be wrong though...
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 04:01:PM I've read in some sites that it was a done deal, in some others that it's not confirmed yet, claiming Porto are also interested....and I can't find any info about it in Atlético's site.
we'll see, but for me the priority still is João Paulo anyway.
Paulo I agree with most of your players to sign list. however:
Saganowski is a good player, but he still hasn't convinced me he's Porto material.
I'd rather keep Adriano, and pick up Miccoli like you've once suggested
To the other CB/RB spot, San Lorenzo's Pablo Barrientos seems to be linked with a move to Porto, don't know how good he really is though.
And I like Fábio Felício a lot too, he's got a sweet left foot.
So considering that Diego is leaving, he could fill in that extra spot in midfield.
So in my eyes we should get:
João Paulo
Zé Castro
Miguelito
Fábio Felício
Miccoli
Adriano (permanent deal)
to let go:
Sonkaya
Bruno Alves
Diego
Jorginho (I know he's not going anywhere though)
Sokota
plus, I'd definitely sell these loaned players:
Maciel
Pittbull
Leo Lima
Areias
Bomfim
Sandro
Leandro
Postiga
Marcos Antonio
Xifio 28-04-2006, 04:44:PM Benni
sell him back to us @ Ajax ... then he might even make his debut against you guys in the Amsterdam Tournament ... (Y)
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 05:00:PM Xifio I don't think Benni would leave to Ajax these days to be honest, he always said he'd like to play in the Premiership if he was to leave Porto....
he could be gone by now, if it wasn't for Adriaanse who clearly likes him a lot.
I do to, but he's too moody and it's true that he can act like a b'tch sometimes....still find him to be a hell of a striker when he's on form though.
Virgo 28-04-2006, 05:44:PM Miccoli?
Benfica fans would start parking cars for change to fund his transfer before letting that happen.
Ze Castro is a major bluff, he's good technically for a CB but isn't really good defending. João Tomás passed through him like he was butter last weekend, and João Tomás can't even dribble.
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 06:16:PM yeah Virgo, but woudn't it be nice for us (H) the man's a great player.
Zé Castro started the season off very well, but his form did decrease throughout the rest of it. It made me question myself if he is that reliable too.
I guess the future will tell how good he really is, seeing that he definitely is leaving Académica for a club with bigger ambitions.
INFESTA 28-04-2006, 07:08:PM I'd sign Zé Castro IF we could get him cheap or by offloading anyone from Paulo and Massive's lists instead of cash. Otherwise it's too much of a risk.
I like Miccoli, but there's no way I'd get him IF there's a guy called Liedson out there. Now that would be outrageous, and the final piece to make us CL contenders again (yeah, that and a decent RB).
Btw, I saw Diego this afternoon on the VCI... (N)
K3nzo 28-04-2006, 07:28:PM Who the hell is San Lorenzo's Pablo Barrientos? Never heard about him!
Some of u might curse me but i hope we offer 3 points to Guimaraes! I like them!
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 07:32:PM I believe Liedson is not even a possibility, I guess he's got some contractual years left with Sporting right?
and there's no way Sporting would sell him to us.
with Miccoli it's a different matter, it majorly depends on the player. Juvents will most surely sell him.
Benfica has the advantage of being able to chose between keeping him or not but if Porto offers both Juventus and the player a better deal, he might decide to join us instead.....
K3nzo 28-04-2006, 07:35:PM Liedson is possible if we decide to open our wallet! Sporting finaces arent great (neither are ours, but they r deeper), with the right offer why not? And in good shape that bastard worths every cent!!
I say 5 million € and he's out!
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 07:39:PM Who the hell is San Lorenzo's Pablo Barrientos? Never heard about him!
Punkt mentioned him the transfer rumours' thread.
about him:
He is good defender, he can play as a central and as a Right Back.
He has a great header.
But he makes a lots of fouls.
1 year ago he was linked to Inter.
and he's 21.
about Liedson, 5 million € surely wouldn't be enough man.
K3nzo 28-04-2006, 07:46:PM make it 5.1 million€
ok 7.5 million i believe!
MaSsiVe 28-04-2006, 07:53:PM still, doubt that Sporting would even consider selling him to Porto....or Benfica for that matter.
Their fans would burn their chairman alive.
Vinnie Jones 28-04-2006, 09:25:PM Rofl this is Portugal, not Germany where Bayern buys players from all the top contenders (Hamburg, Werder Bremen, Leverkusen). In Portugal if they made these kind of deals, there would be burned cars, riots etc etc :jambo:
About Zé Castro, i don´t really question his ability, the problem is that he is experiencing a slump in his form. The circunstancies don´t help either. Académica is in turmoil (president affair, lack of support for Nelo Vingada), facing relegation, the extreme pressure the team is facing. We can´t forget all the amazing matches he made against the big 3 and in our U-21 Nt. As much as it pains me to say this, he really needs to move on in order to continue his evolution.
Paulo Da Silva 29-04-2006, 03:58:AM Vinnie you are definealy right, but going to a team like At Madrid would definately hurt his future. Atletico has two of the better CB in Spain (both will be going to the WC i believe).
I think Ze Castro will be a big player in the future. I believe he should go to a club like Braga. they have european ambitions and i belive that they are a sleeping giant, that with a couple of great signings that they can compete for a CL spot of not the league in 2-3 years (i would like to see that) In braga he can play in a more secure team and a team that he would 90% start every game. after 2-3 seasons he may be ready to move.
Joao Paulo i feel is ready for a big move. He wasn't ready when he went to Sporting as he was like 20-21 and very young. but hes had a great season and would be a great addition to the team and would add a whole lot of depth and would suit Co's system perfectly.
About Ze Catro, i say we sign him and loan him out to Braga or Boavista for a season or two.
now about those that will leave.
Benni- i've always said that a motivated benni Mac is easily the best striker in Portugal, by FAR. some may disagree but that is my opinion. however, he wants to move on and if we get the 6 million some clubs have offered we should DEFINATELY SELL him.
Diego- all the talent in the world, but his dad(agent) is/will ruin his career. The minute his idiot dad came in he was gone from the team. Diego can fit in this tactic, however maybe we should loan him out. he;s only 20 for god sakes. Deco only began to play amazing when he was 23-24. Unfortunately we will sell him and that life. as long as we get what we invested in him its all good
Postiga- I dont know but i like this guy. he is just a super dick who needs to begin to work hard. Something tells me he will come back next year and he will be back to the old promising Postiga. He would fit percetly into this tactic.
for example:
our mid field and forwards can play like this:
------------------Assuncao---Meirelles-----------------------
Quaresma-----------------Lucho---------------any left winger
---------------------------------Postiga---------------------
---------------------Adriano---------------------------------
in this tactic Postiga's job is not to score and that could relieve some pressure off the guy. Everybody knows that Adriano is the finisher and Postiga could work pretty damn well as a target man who makes room for Adriano to score. you know he can draw some defenders away for the pure striker.
anyway i'm dreaming and he WILL BE SOLD TO ST.ETTIENE
ONE MORE THING
PLZ DO NOT SELL LUCHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MaSsiVe 29-04-2006, 05:05:AM PdC has confirmed two deals:
Diogo Valente has already signed, and Adriano will remain in the squad under a permanent deal now.
It's not sure Valente will be part of the first team next season though.
many people don't like him, but I rate him high enough to be happy with the deal.
He's still very young and I see him as a good prospect for the future, let's just hope Porto can help him grow as a footballer.
On another note, he said the club's not interested in Miguelito, or in Saganowski.
But when it comes to football transfers, you never now what might happen :brow:
INFESTA 29-04-2006, 09:40:AM Like Funky, I've seen Diogo play live a lot. Like Funky, I'm not particularly impressed. He's not a bad player, but there's nothing in him that makes for FCP material: not fast enough to run past opponents (like Douala or Simão); not technical enough to dribble them every time (like Quaresma or Cristiano); doesn't have superb set-pieces skills (like Simão); crosses well but I've seen its share of crosses end in the Panteras Negras 'bancada'...
He's like a sum of slightly above average traits of everything I mentioned.
Now sure he can evolve - although he's not getting any faster - and that depends on his work-ethic. Thing is, he spent half year benched so that must have only hurt him.
I bet he'll play more for Porto B, at least for next season.
About Liedson: Massive, we're talking about a club that sold Quaresma, Cristiano, Figo, Simão, etc. for relatively small amounts of cash, because they were desperately needing it. Well, they need it even more now; it's either sell one of their golden rings or start selling their own fingers (especially now since they elected this president).
I think SCP would never refuse 7,5M€ for Liedson. And if they do refuse that offer? We buy him out and pay the release clause. Worth every cent.
About Saga: he'll have a great chance this weekend. If he scores against us or at least leaves an impressive footprint at the Dragão he can win over PdC. It's all on Sga's shoulders - as it should be.
Virgo 29-04-2006, 03:09:PM Saganowski is a good player but he's a pure finisher like Adriano. In theory you need someone that can hold the ball better and create game for himself, not just finish the plays.
Anyway he'll be sold cheap if Guima goes down.
MaSsiVe 29-04-2006, 03:15:PM About Liedson: Massive, we're talking about a club that sold Quaresma, Cristiano, Figo, Simão, etc. for relatively small amounts of cash, because they were desperately needing it. The thing is that those players weren't sold to Porto, or Benfica, or lets say to a rival portuguese team.
3 of those went to Barça, 1 to ManU.....they sold them to football giants, and it would be almost a crime to keep those players from getting such a chance.
Like Vinnie said, those kind of deals at least between the big 3 would never be possible here in Portugal. the fans would go freakin nuts.
The only friendly deals I can remember of were those trades envolving Rui Jorge, Bino, Ricardo Fernandes, Peixe..........players who were way past their best years (maybe except for R. Fernandes, but we all know what a fluke he came to be)
But you did mention the release clause issue, and that is the only way I'd see Liedson trading Sporting for Porto. I don't know its value, but if it's around those 7.5 million € I agree we should pay it before anyone else does.
Saganowski is a good player but he's a pure finisher like Adriano. In theory you need someone that can hold the ball better and create game for himself, not just finish the plays.
Agreed....that's why I f'cking want Miccoli to join us, he's that kind of player (Y)(H)
Paulo Da Silva 29-04-2006, 10:08:PM Lisandro and Miccolli are very similar players. Lisandro is class and Micolli is very injury prone, but is even more class than Lisandro.
Lisandro will play more next season and i feel he'll explode
Goo Goo boy 04-05-2006, 05:14:AM Quite happy with the team right now. Last game's Ibson's disallowed goal was beautiful. Lucho's vision and Ibson's shot were wonderful indeed.
The only thing i'm uncomfortable with is Diego. If everyone could just shake hands and live happy in the club i'd be so freakin glad.
Anyway, i believe we'll make a super campaign in next year's Champions League. We only need to get rid of some mediocre players we somehow still have (cough Bruno Alves cough). A top club is supposed to have top players.
Liedson would be great for us. How much is his release clause btw?
Joao Paulo is a good signing but Diogo Valente is the kind of player that...well, Infesta said it all.
From the 1st team squad, i'd immediately replace Alan, Alves and Ricardo Costa. I'd also be very unsure about Sokota and Moraes as they haven't done shiat for the club yet. Benni and Postiga are only welcome if they committ to work hard and show some respect for the club.
Btw, benni's belly might be quite amusing but it certainly isn't the kind of thing to expect in a team that is supposed to be one of Europe's top clubs. C'mon, am i asking too much?
When a football player, who gets paid i don't know how many thousands of euros a month, who's in a G-14 club, doesn't even work enough to lose his freakin Santa's belly, i tend to become pissed off.
He must think he's in Dubai, playing to amuse himself, and still getting a big fat paycheck.
And i somehow like him, otherwise i'd be really furious. If he wants to keep his recent attitude i wish him all luck in any club but mine.

I agree with that. I also like him, besides we all know he's a good striker and can score a lot of goals if he puts his mind to it, but he spent the last year with one thing in mind: move to England. So go, modafoca, go. :ewan:

K3nzo 19-05-2006, 11:04:PM Ciao Diego, i hope u learned ur lesson, there's something called work! I had big expectations on you, and i think u can still do much and we'll problably regret this sell, but somehow summing up all u have done, and said this last 2 years, ciao bambino!! Not gona miss u!
On the other hand.. Ciao Lucho, good WC, will he come back!?!
MaSsiVe 19-05-2006, 11:37:PM Ciao Diego, i hope u learned ur lesson, there's something called work! yeah I won't miss Diego aswell: it's not like he didn't have the chances to grab a spot on the team, so he can f'ck off to Germany at will.
now Lucho.....that would be a great loss :(
INFESTA 20-05-2006, 01:35:AM Diego was a hyped player that'll never be more than a Roger. I'm sure he'll do fine in Brazil, once he gets shipped back at the end of next season.
His problem is: he's slow; pretty decent technically but not anywhere near a level that allows him to dribble past other midfielders or defenders (unlike Deco); he doesn't control the flow of the game. Now these are all things that you can't be taught. You either have it or you don't, and Diego hasn't. The recipe for disaster.
On top of that, he's poor tactically and has a father with a big mouth. Finally, he spent the last 2 years - the crucial years for the development of a young player - benched, and rightly so, btw.
I hope we get good money for this kid.
MaSsiVe 20-05-2006, 02:00:AM I hope we get good money for this kid.
I read we're getting back the 7 million € we paid for him, the deal took too long to be closed because Bremen was only offering 6 million which wasn't good enough to PdC :)
RuiCosta_10 20-05-2006, 05:58:AM I remember when Punkt said he would be the new Roger you all laughed at him... :(
INFESTA 20-05-2006, 10:49:AM Yeah, he says so much crap that eventually gets one right. :p :D
Goo Goo boy 22-05-2006, 12:10:AM Meh, Diego was my favourite player on earth when he played at Santos...and quite honestly I may be the only porto fan that was quite happy with him.
Last year, when the ship was sinking with Couceiro and Fernandez he played well in every single game i saw and he looked like he was wiling to fight for porto just like any good portista would. He was man marked in every single game and even though his grades in the match reports were good, journalists always found a way to blame him only because porto didn't win. Journalists focus too much on the number 10, and they forget there has to be a very well structured and dynamic team to support him. Well, no one in that squad knew each other in the start of the season, and the group kept constantly changing and becoming more and more decadent.
This year i liked his performances. Although he started the season injured, he always fought hard to return to the team and kept struggling throughout the whole season. He was professional.
The thing is: Co Adriaanse started to play in a 3-3-4. Diego can't play as a second forward neither as the two box-to-box positions that RMeireles, Ibson, Cech and Lucho performed so well.
I'm glad he went to a good club and everyone got along just fine. But I honestly believe he had no responsability for his lack of glory in here, he was just unlucky with the circumstances. He came in a hang-over year and in the next season we signed a coach that uses one of the few tactics that don't include a nr 10. Bad luck.
Farewell Diego, i'd be glad to see you back, at the right time.
And get ready to learn german.
MaSsiVe 22-05-2006, 01:06:AM And get ready to learn german.
Jannes 22-05-2006, 01:25:AM german is not easy. i hope he dont speak german like ailton. :nape:
MaSsiVe 22-05-2006, 01:48:AM german is not easy. i hope he dont speak german like ailton. :nape:
there's quite a few brazilians in the Bundesliga so he might learn it quicker with the help of some of his countrymen I guess, especially Bremen's Naldo of course.
Paulo Da Silva 29-05-2006, 12:48:AM if there was one good thing about the Euro U-21 it was the play of Raul Meireles. This man is the most inform DM in Portugal.
great news (H)(Y)
Paulo Da Silva 07-06-2006, 01:46:AM It seems Porto are looking hard for a new Striker.
So far the names have been: Hesellink and Carew.
None if these guys are proven goal scorers
It seems Cisse and Frei are in the market. We should get oneof those 2.
MaSsiVe 07-06-2006, 02:34:AM I definitely don't want Venegoor or Carew.
Frei I don't know much about but Cissé would be awesome :brow:
I still think we don't need another Hugo Almeida/Adriano//Benni kind of forward, we need like another Lisandro you know?
someone quick and sudden to play just behind one of those strikers.
I've been wishing Miccoli to join us for a long time now, I think he's just the kind of player we need.
Empoli's Tavano would be great too dispite his age (28 I guess), but we don't usually search the Italian market :(
Paulo Da Silva 07-06-2006, 11:39:PM Miccolli would be great in more ways then just fitting into the system...

the f'cking PT logo is too damn big...apart from that I love the home one.
the orange is not as bad as it seemed from the early drawn pics, I actually kind of fancy it...got to seem them during play to be sure though.
who knows maybe it'll bring us luck, at least orange is my favourite colour (H)
smoove 21-06-2006, 06:03:PM I gotta say I like your new kits, especially the home ones...better than our new ones anyway...

Medo.....
Those faces looking at me... it seems they're gonna take their Ford Transits with counterfeit clothes and run me over...
That second kit reminds me of those guys who stop traffic for little kids to cross the road outside of schools! Or maybe a road construction worker... Can't decide between both...
INFESTA 22-06-2006, 01:17:PM I like them! (Y)
The PT logo is crap, but at least it's all blue, white and orange, so it matches our shirts. The white stripe on the home kit is a tad too large for my liking as well, but apart from that they look great.
The only thing I dislike is our gk's kit.
bmpv666 22-06-2006, 09:23:PM i like them both as well, and i'm definitely going to buy the home asap (Y)
MaSsiVe 29-06-2006, 07:13:PM so what you guys think about Ezequias to Porto?
huge surprise for me but I reckon he's a good player.
like Peixoto he can play in all the left wing spots, the difference is that Ezequias has tremendous pace.
But the thing is that he'll have to prove himself useful for a team like Porto, playing at a higher level....
I prefer to wait and see, but at least he knows our League well and surely was a bargain too.
K3nzo 03-07-2006, 05:37:PM Major clubs was following him but he's ours!!!! YEAH!! EZEQUIAS!!!!
:junior:
now serioulsy...
1.80m and 69 Kg? kinda skinny?
Only know him by name, dont remenber to see him play so i cant say sh1t! Papers say it was a Co Ad choice, let's see it, if it's as good as Sonkaya...
