WilliamFAlmeida 14-06-2006, 03:33:PM Never seen this Brasil play so bad...
but to be fair, every first WC game of ours is shaky...1-1 Sweden(94) 2-1 Scotland(98) 2-1 Turkey(02)......
Luis Ah-Hoy 14-06-2006, 05:08:PM I'm quite sure it was Parreira's instructions...
The players said in the Press Conference that the Croatian defence was very hard to break and they were struggling to do so... i agree that the Croatian defence is good, but... if Brazil strives to attack, if they had played with more determination and had risked more in attack, they'd get at least two... i don't doubt it, not for a second...
Lennon 14-06-2006, 06:44:PM if Parreira takes Fatso out of the starting lineup Brazil will improve dramatically.

Parreira said that he will still have Ronaldo as a starter,he better step-up his game cuz in the last game he did nothing.

Ronaldo was sent to a hospital in Frankfurt after feeling dizzy. According to the Brazilian FA and the player's spokesperson, nothing abnormal was found.
With Robinho and Fred raring to go, I'm actually feeling sorry for them. Ronaldo barely trains because of blisters, fever, has an abysmal performance in training, in which the subs beat the starters 3-0, has a poor performance in the match and Parreira keeps him in the side. I wonder what it'll take for him to be benched.

Our first game on 1994 was Russia, and we won 2-0.
WilliamFAlmeida 16-06-2006, 03:50:PM ooops
good call
Anyway Is Ronaldo untouchable?
http://esportes.terra.com.br/futebol...EI5583,00. :O
Parreira gave Ronaldo an ultimatum!!
Kibe Kru 16-06-2006, 04:25:PM We'll see...
Kibe Kru 18-06-2006, 09:58:PM So much for an ultimatum...
http://www1.folha.uol.com.br/folha/esporte/ult92u103903.shtml
WilliamFAlmeida 19-06-2006, 03:19:PM he did play much better (well I guess nothing would be worse), but he wasnt that bad imo. He ran at defenders, took shots, dribbled and assisted the gol...not bad.
After this game we can conclude that Gilberto Silva HAS to start over Emerson..
Emerson is playing pish indeed.
Paulista 19-06-2006, 06:05:PM Eu nao tenho preferencia a Gilberto Silva ou Emerson mais achei que elle e Ze Robert foi um dos melhores ate agora, Emerson tem um amarelo

Brazilian legend Jairzinho: "Ronaldo eats too much".
World Cup champion Jairzinho interviewed by German magazine Sportbild: "He needs to relax constantly. That's when he eats too much. It's sad what's happening to my boy."
"He was too skinny. Nowadays his weight isn't muscular, but fat."
Jairzinho "discovered" Ronaldo in 1989 in a futsal tournament, and took him to Sao Cristovao. He managed Ronaldo's career up to his transfer to Cruzeiro.
"He's above Klose [though]", concluded Jairzinho

One of the biggest mysteries of the Brazilian National Team in the World Cup campaign in Germany was revealed this Wednesday: Ronaldo's weight.
According to physio Moracy Sant'Anna, the Real Madrid player weights 90.5 kg, 4 less than when he joined the side. The information was given to "Lance" newspaper. The player is 183 cm tall.
Lance: http://www.lancenet.com.br/copa2006/selecoes/C06/noticias/06-06-21/385561.asp (may require free registration)
Lance mentions this:
Sant'Anna: From the day he joined to the eve of the match against Australia, he had lost 3.2 kg. From then, he lost another one. He weights now 90.5 kg, half a kg above the ideal for his fat percentage. But a kg more or a kg less is irrelevant in these situations.
The interview was given after the training session at the FIFA World Cup Stadium in Dortmund today.
WilliamFAlmeida 21-06-2006, 11:35:PM haha I read that too! lol....I hope that puts to rest all speculations...

Kibe Kru 22-06-2006, 10:45:AM Just found out that his fat percentage is 11.8. Just so you know. In 2002, his weight was 82 kg, so that's why FIFA and CBF show that as his weight.
Paulista 22-06-2006, 05:51:PM Kibe,
You got your wish Ronaldo is out vs Japan so is Emerson and Cafu for
Robinho, Gilberto Silva , and Cicinho.
I really thought this was his chance to really get it going vs a japan open for goals since they play offensive looking to win :|
Im sure Robinho will play great and so will brasil, plus i got a feeling ronaldinho will be unleashed :rockman:
Kibe Kru 22-06-2006, 05:57:PM my wish would be Ronaldo to be left on the bench for the remaining of the World Cup, but that ain't happening, even if Robinho scores 80 in a 120-0 win.
Also, I'd like to see the subs playing, like it was against Costa Rica in 2002. Players with something to prove, eager to get their places. If your info is correct, then Juninho won't play, and boy, does he deserve a place.
As a final wish, let's just hope we play Ghana. African sides make Dida... unsettled.
EDIT: Turns out Juninho will play, Gilberto too, as well as the changes previously mentioned by Paulista.
Nice. If I wanted Brazil to win, I'd be excited.
Paulista 22-06-2006, 06:09:PM I agree with the subs part, perreira could put 10 subs in and we would play better than
the first 2 games, i too want to see players like juninho(especially so R.Carlos never takes a free kick again)Fred, Gilberto, cicinho.......
but i wanted to see ronaldo in this game especially since i really thought this was going to be the game to break out,
I feel his so close to catching form&fittness back
WilliamFAlmeida 25-06-2006, 05:11:PM Robinho is injured and will miss the ghana match :(

ARGENTINA LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bob: :ewan: :lui: :jacko: :rockman: :fluffy:  (H)
Kibe Kru 01-07-2006, 10:19:PM I don't know how many of you actually watch "Fantastico", but it was interesting to see those deaf guys lip-read the stuff the players were saying.
Parreira was fantastic, after Ronaldo scored: "They (press/supporters) tell me to take him off. Take it up the arse! Go **** themselves!".
It'd be funny to know what he said in today's match. I don't remember seeing such an appaling performance.
jimorrizon 02-07-2006, 12:02:AM Brazil Lost :bob:  :ewan: :boohoo: :jap: , lol

Good Job. :boohoo:
bRaZo0kA 02-07-2006, 04:51:PM when france scored their goal, who saw roberto carlos, not do anything and stay still and not go back to mark henry...which is why henry was all alone?!?!?! i think we should point him out as the traitor he is!!!!!
Kibe Kru 02-07-2006, 09:20:PM Heh, don't be mad at him... just cause he gave away the corner that led to the first French goal in 1998 (and quite frankly, one that he should have avoided easily) and then let Henry free this time? (H)
Why on Earth did he have to mark Henry though? He's short and can't defend, you can't possibly assign him to mark the opposition's main striker
The problem is, he didnt get beaten by Henry or something like that. He was messing with his socks, not paying attention at all to the play, whilst Henry was running behind him to score. Now tell me, how a professional football player, who plays defense, doesnt LOOK at the play at all? Everything was ridiculous at the display.
And oh, Ronaldo IS untouchable indeed. Or was, he's probably retiring from international football now. Where's that guy who was arguing with me now eh? :junior:
Kibe Kru 03-07-2006, 04:13:AM I know, he should have at least gone into the box and try to make things difficult for Henry, who had a tap in. But it'd be much wiser to have someone else back there to man mark Henry. And someone who can actually defend... I mean, there were 5 French players at the box and 3 Brazilians... I don't think they were playing the offside trap at all (it'd be stupid if they did).
Juninho's announced his international retirement, but Mr. Untouchable has already mentioned he wants to play the next World Cup.
Looking back at the tournament, the only half decent players were the defenders, Ze Roberto, Gilberto Silva and Robinho. Lucio was awesome, and Juan was great. Dida looked shaky at times, but he was rarely under threat, and there was nothing he could do against Henry.
Without Cafu, the RB position is now a bit shaky again. Cicinho is good enough, but there's no replacement. Paulo Baier is almost as old as Cafu. Corinthians' Eduardo, who I thought would turn out great, has disappeared, but he's still young.
maleato 03-07-2006, 01:18:PM we should call Daniel Alves before the spanish steal him also :D
Gene Reginato 03-07-2006, 06:44:PM Juninho of all players decided to retire? That doesn't make sense.
Kibe Kru 03-07-2006, 08:39:PM He was VERY upset at not playing at all during the first two matches, then he did ok against Japan and was back to the banch against Ghana. I think he doesn't want the bench, and if that's true, then it's better for him and the NT that he retires.
EDIT: Roberto Carlos also retired from international football.
maleato 04-07-2006, 02:37:AM Juninho is a professional. He's 30 (or 31, don't remember) so he won't be in the next WC. I just wished he had better luck with the NT, he deserved it (:/)
Daniel David 20-07-2006, 04:05:AM He's gone, gone, GONE! (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=374118&cc=3888)

GOOD RIDDANCE. Go plant your grapes, man.
This post was just mandatory, including the bad joke above.
Kibe Kru 22-07-2006, 10:43:PM Miss him at Sao Paulo, Daniel David? (H)
I sure do miss his time at Corinthians, and I'd welcome him anyday... yes, that's how desperate Corinthians' situation is.
bRaZo0kA 24-07-2006, 11:15:PM what do u guys think abou dunga becoming the brazilian head coach?? i think he wont last a month, he has no prior experience, and this is probably temporary, becuase lets face it, u really think some1 with no experience as a coach will go through the copa america or even qualifiers? me thinks this is like having ronaldinho be player/coach...haha lets see how far this goes.......
If Van Basten made it to the World Cup why not? I like the idea of ex-players being the NT coaches. Parreira has a life-time of experience and we saw how it went. That's what you get for releasing a book on "how to create winner teams" a month before the World Cup, Mr. Parreira.
I like Dunga's appointment. Let's see how we fair against Norway.
Kibe Kru 25-07-2006, 12:33:AM Dunga.. well... I like him as a player, but I'm not sure about him taking on the NT. Let's just wait and see, and I hope he has a fairly good time with the side.
bRaZo0kA 25-07-2006, 01:06:AM espero que o dunga mandar a globo tomar no cu, se eles falam uma coisa depois que ele seleciona quem vai jogar.
newbie original 25-07-2006, 02:09:AM ...dunga becoming the brazilian head coach.......
Hey, that's Ronaldo's teammate from WORLD CUP USA '94. Terrible selection though with no experience.
Well see if Dunga is the man for Brazil,he was a great player hope he can do well as a coach.
Daniel David 25-07-2006, 02:35:AM :|
As Grunger mentioned, however, that has a fair chance of going well (as it went for Van Basten, Klinsmann...). Inexperienced, but even that may be good - for one, I wouldn't stand having some of those 'medalhões', like Leão or Luxa. Overall it is a good shot.
However I just have some feeling he will eventually get on bad terms with the people inside CBF/Squad too soon.
And still, :|
Daniel David 25-07-2006, 02:59:AM Miss him at Sao Paulo, Daniel David? (H)
I sure do miss his time at Corinthians, and I'd welcome him anyday... yes, that's how desperate Corinthians' situation is.
Hehe...I was too young to be remember when he actually was with us. You did have a classy team by 2002 though - 3 forwards, no full-strikers...However, Kibe, seeing what happened to Corinthians after he left and what he did for the NT in exchange, I'd hate the guy with all my powers were I in yer place (H).
Kibe Kru 25-07-2006, 03:46:AM Hehe...I was too young to be remember when he actually was with us. nah, I like the guy. it sucks to watch his teams play, but I like Parreira.
WilliamFAlmeida 25-07-2006, 03:31:PM we'll see in our friendly if he's messing around or not....
Jaouadinho 15-08-2006, 05:33:PM does anyone know were i could watch the brazil vs norway match online?
WilliamFAlmeida 15-08-2006, 06:01:PM no idea...Ive been looking too...
all I know is that goltv is showing the game live at 2pm.....goltv...:$
Jaouadinho 18-08-2006, 07:43:PM did any one see the match?
any information i.e formation and who played well or didnt.
Gomes was terrible, the defense was fairly decent. Edmilson was wasteful at midfield, Elano and Carvalho had good matches, Robinho was ok, Fred did well. We played something similar to a 4-5-1.
------------Gomes--------------
Cicinho--Juan--Lucio----Gilberto-
------Edmilson--G.Silva----------
Elano-------------------Carvalho
-----------Robinho-------------
-------------------Fred--------
Jaouadinho 18-08-2006, 08:08:PM thanx for the information. :) :rockman:
adobe_sun 21-08-2006, 09:54:AM I think Dunga is on the right spot of what he does with the brazil NT right now.
He and Van Basten are the best nt coaches, beacuse they' coach big countries with lots of potential, and a great number of skilled players, but both prefer the young players to those shibby overpayed "stars"...
The only thing those so called "stars" could do, is to perform their sponsorship contracts and on the second place, to try to play decent football..
That's why, i like what Dunga does.
Van Basten dropped outta the Holland squad Seedorf, Davids and all other oiks without ambition, and welcomed new young players like shaars, Huntelaar and co.
This is exactly what Dunga should do.
I mean, there are also guys like Kaka and Ronaldinho that should definitely remain in the squad, because they, re not only stars, but also talented players, but hte others...
Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, .. COME ON! they're grand-grand-pas..
I really like Dani Carvalho, Fred is a great player too.. I guess i'm only feeling sorry for Juninho Pernambucano, but he is around the 30-ies too, so he might be counted to the old ones too.
anyway, KEEP ON GOING DUNGA :)

mrliioadin 21-05-2007, 04:57:PM Hey guys I'm Liioadin, I'm a national teams editor for FIFA '07 belonging to this forum.
We've recently undergone a rather major project to add every national team in the world plus several unaffiliated nations and territories to the FIFA '07 (for PC) game. After about 3 months of editing we have around 70 teams left having created over 100 new teams from every confederation and have edited the origional 41 that EA created to give us a current total of over 140 teams.
We are nearing the end and there are several projects we want to undertake once we reach the end one of which is to update and perfect the rosters, starters, bench, reserves, formations, tactics, attributes.
I was hoping you could help me out. You are the first thread I have posted in because Brazil is the highest rated team in the game. When we edit the rosters Brazil will be first.
What I am asking is that you discuss and post who your 23 man roster would be if you were forced to use that 23 for every national competition through the 2010 world cup. I realize this is unrealistic in many ways but due to the limitations of the game we cannot cycle in 70 or so players to appear at different times as the Americans did for their qualification run through the '06 World Cup.
If you could, please list your 11 starters, their 11 backups. and your 3rd Keeper... Any additional information about your rosters or hints at these players style, indications of how accurate their free kicks are, information about kicktakers would also be extremely helpful.
I am sorry to interupt the normal flow of this thread and if you do feel you are entirely not interested in participating then please accept my apologies.
We are trying to make the most realistic national teams we can from top to bottom and for big and powerful nations like Brazil with a large fan base there is no better way to gain information about a team than to ask their very dedicated fans.
I thank you for your time and cooperation.
~Liioadin
