After playing about hundreds of matches i had a lousy conclusion that 3 stars is not easier than 6 stars but it gives you a very different gameplay feeling .
Any football fan that watches more than league in reality knows that every league has its own gameplay style (EPL:long passes & shots, free spaces in field /calcio:tight defence, less goals.........etc) .
Thats what konami gave us with the star thing not a different difficulties but different gameplay so try playing a new league like this
-3 stars : liga espagnol & French league
-4 stars : EPL & dutch league
-5 stars : Bundes liga
-6 stars : calcio
plus you will never know unless you try .

it's a good idea, but the game is easier - those stars are levels not gameplay types; I wish it were that easy, if it was I wouldnt' have spent time making my gameplay patch.

I doubt this, but interesting theory anyway.

If you see on 3/4 stars the AI won't defend as on 6 stars it put more players to offence actually it could score more goals . By the way the whole idea won't work with fm 2005 stats . Try konami default , PLF or pesfan files .

the AI won't defend because on those stars the level of difficulty , which is what those stars represent as i mentioned before, are lower and hence teh game is easier-like we all said its a great idea, if only it was like that we would be experiencing a whole new game.if you want different gameplay please try my gameplay patch-an update will be outsoon.

Well the cpu seems to defend big time against me and I play 4* right now, they definitely don't just open the path up for you ( like on some of those gif goals). I think 3* and down thats when the cpu leaves space but from 4 up they start closing down lanes.

As i said before "you won't know unless you try"
