OH MY GOD WHAT A GAME!!
Talk about a cracker of a game last night in Porto. Holland ruled the waves yesterday.
We forced Portugal to their knees and dominated the game for 80 minutes, 0-2 was the score, goals from Hasselbaink and Kluivert and the Orange team played out of their skin (judging by the yellow cards :D
Figo tried a few things but Holland was able to isolate him most of the time.
It was too good to be true, in 10 minutes time the Dutch defence made some big mistakes(F. de Boer) en it was 2-2!??
How is this possible in a WC kwalification match?? The first goal should've been held by van der Sar but he failed and the penalty in the last minute of the extra time was a big mistake from F. de Boer who took a player down in the box!
Man i was on the edge of my seat the whole game, this is what football is all about folks :D
Excitement, emotion, joy, dissapointment.
Holland played like they did at Euro 2000 and i'm sure they will qualify for the WC 2002. Next time we face Cyprus at home and after that Estonia (should be no problem) and in August it's Ireland and we HAVE to win. Let's hope Ireland will lose points.
No other team did what Holland did last night in Portugal, awesome.
What if they had won?
Then we were second in the poule with a better goal-average then Portugal!
However, Holland has to play the other games like they did last night and then i'm certain we will be there in 2002.
What is a WC without the Dutch National team present.
