Hi all, decided to give it a go. Never played the Swedish league before, I'm ashamed to say I've always stuck to the big leagues that I was familiar with. The lowest league I've ever played right now is still West Brom in the premiership, so this will be a refreshing change.

I'll see what I can do with the lineup and I'm the kind of guy who likes a midfield and a dmc. Will have to improvise. I'll try my best.

Hi from Hong Kong.

Fans are not happy.

I've played quite a bit of the games and I need to post my results now.
Here's where I'm up to.

having quite a lot of fun with the game. The problem still troubled with the lack of midfield. I rely on my defence/goalkeeper, wingers and my great striker Ringberg.

Check his stats guys. He's ultra slow but has everything else. It was a bargain which turned out to be great. I thought he would do well in a league like this.

Had a hard time getting the players I wanted. Initially I wanted 3 more players in the following order of importance:
- pacy reliable defender
- athletic goalkeeper
- big striker with good finishing and heading
(this is because I was going to use the wingers and since I knew I had no midfield=less possession, my attacking chances would have to count and I need someone to finish)

In the end this is what I got.

Transfers:

Rubarth can play in several positions and was available. I wanted better defenders but couldn't find any good ones. My existing DC are converted DMCs (Svensson and Advission) and they are all in their 30s. So I had to buy 2, Stahl and Persson. Both ended up to be mediocre due to their bad concetnration and composure.

Ringberg on the other end had such fascinating stats. I couldn't beleive it, everything was good apart from his acceleration and pace. That also meant he was going to stay up all the time so I decided to give it a gamble. I have many fast strikers anyway

He turned out to be absolutely f-ing fantastic. look at his career stats so far.

Per Johansson decided to leave and for 90k it was a good price.

I also signed an additional coach (who became assistant manager) and a physio.

I couldn't get the goalkeeper wanted (Diego, Chilavert) despite many tries. about 8 people rejected me.

Morale was at an okay level and I decided I needed to get the players on my side. I turned to advice from the best manager in the world, the manager of my favorite team, Fergie of Man United. He replied I was doing a good job. That made some of my players feel better and trust me more.

My first league game is again GIF.

Was pleasantly surprised with the result.

MY second game at home against Orebo. I lost 1-0
I was very lucky to just have lost by one. It was a game where Orebo dominated.

Look at the midfield. I lost it entirely. It meant my tactics needed tweaking
I had one shot at goal. they had six.

New signing Olof Persson got a 6 game rating and did not perform well. it meant I probably wouldn't use him that much. I played him as right back in the game.

Third league game was against Helsingborg.
I tweaked the tactics a bit and finally won 2-0

Touma showed me how important he is in the team. Persson had another 6 game despite having decent stats. That's it.

4th game: Malmo FF against Halmstad. The big one. I knew this was going to be tough.

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b84/garleisg/4thegame.jpg

I was a bit lucky to have won the game. Malmo attacked a lot but they coulnd't finish.
Andreas Johansson subbed in for Anklew in centre midfield 4 mins after kickoff. He became man of the match and had 2 assists. Told me how good he was in midfield.

New signing Ringberg finished his assists and I was glad he played well. I wanted him to be #1 striker all along. Let's see if he can keep this going.

5th game: Ogryte vs Halmstad

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b84/garleisg/5thegame.jpg

I was very lucky to have gotten a draw in this one as Ogryte dominated with 30 percent possession in the midfiled. again I need to tweak the tactics for next match.

I was lucky that the two new signings scored. It's underlining the imporance of the transfer window. Halmstad would be a lot worse without them.

Persson had a 4/10 game with a yellow card .substituted him during half time and he was playing centre back, involved in conceding both goals. I'm not liking this new signing.

6th game: Swedish cup

Skiljebo vs Halmstad

As the league is much more important to me, I decided to rest as many important players as possible and I let the 2 Xi show their worth. stuck with the first team defence apart from RB. many of the players were tired.

The result was a good 2-1 victory.

7th game: league match against Elfborg

First team players all had a good match and were delighted by the team's previous 2-1 win in the Swedish cup over Skiljebo. Though the opposition was rather crap, a win was a win.

This gave motivation to my first team players to give me my first convincing 3-0 win. CHuffed. Ringberg scores 2 again. :rockman: While I'm delighted for him I'm afraid I may relying on him too much.
I'm suggesting all those who are still playing this challenge to buy him.

I won this game because my goalkeeper was on first. Sahlman got a 10. :rockman: Thanks thanks thanks

what would I do without him?
