I know that FIFA is the red haired step child of the EA sports family but can it at least stay up to par on something? Madden always comes out right before the NFL begins, so do all the other sports games for their seasons. FIFA usually is not released untill most soccer leagues are well underway. Which brings me to another hidden complaint last year the season mode did not have any of the teams playing who they were supposed to play. In previous FIFAs the season was the exact same as it was in real life. I want to open the season playing Arsenal at highbury and have a home opener against the hammers is that so hard?

FIFA can't be released until after August, because the transfer window is still open.

So you want them to update the game for early August rosters and then ship and manufacture over 1 million copies in the space of a few days?

Did you know it needs to go to places like Sony and be cleared before it can be released. This can take a number of weeks. So can manufacturing and shipping.

i dunno watching newcastle vs. arsenal today i saw an advertising board that said "fifa 06 october" dont know about you but that seems pretty straight forward to me, I can't see that being too far off either since it was obviously printed by EA hopefully its some sort of typo, no one wants this game to come out by september more than me but thats pretty convincing to the october argument.

the point about getting the xbox / ps2 versions out early so people will buy both is exactly what ea is thinking. EBgames.com is a pretty reliable and accurate site for release dates, plus they were just recently changed from nov. 14th for all systems. Now that the different systems have separate dates seems to be they are finalized.
