Ok, I will admit, ManU MIGHT get a win in Germany since BM is gonna be without a few good players, but ManU won't have Beckham either. Truthfully, Bayern Played better. They should have had 3 goals, at least 2. But they got the 1 they needed. ManU had NO finishing today. Why would that change on Munich's home field, of ALL places?

Man! Being only a real time soccer fan for about two years, I wasn't around for the Bayern Munich loss to Manchester United. But, this game, I was really into. I had to record it from ESPN 2 because I was at school the time of the game. But me and my friend came home, ordered a pizza and watched it.

It was one of the greatest games I have watched (I don't get to watch very many). I mean, I was down on the ground in the 80th minute with the shot off the bar had me down on the ground laughing off my adrenaline and trying to get my heart back on beat. But that goal had me kicking things and throwing off my jersey, lol. It was great, then we had music playing.

It was the best of times, I tell you!
Next week, will be hell for Manchester United!

Auf Geht's Bayern - Für Immer Nummer Eins!

how sweet the taste of victory is for bayern... now man u have a taste of their own medicine... go bayern...!!!!

uuh.......I don't know?

I live in the U.S.A. too, but I've seen a hell of a lot more interesting games than a one goal match!
Worthington Cup final for a start was more fun to watch......MAN UTD aren't going to win the Champions League anyway. I thought everyone knew that when they struggled in their second phase group!

Leeds Utd have a better chance!!!
:D :D

Yeah... the same happened in the CL final... The problem is that you kill the game too soon... It's true that ManU will have a tough - almost impossible - game at Munich... but after seeing two goals in three minutes, we should all expect anything.

After all, it just takes two errors to ManU get in front...

Why does everyone support Man Utd?
All of you want to jump on the bandwagon.
Are any of you supposed Utd fans actually from Manchester, or ever been to a Utd game?
Why don't you support your local side?
I am a 3rd generation Manchester City fan, and I will stick with them through thick and thin. Doubtless the shallow Man U fans will fade away, supporting whoever happens to be the most successful.

Yep i'm a United-fan and sometimes I go to a game in Old Trafford, even though I live in the Netherlands. I make a weekend of it there. My number 1 club is Ajax but I am a Unitedfan for years now!
That's why I believe that the Red Devils will kick the sh*t out of those German non-footballers in two weeks.
Manchester was, is and always will be superior to Bayern and losing one match against those Germans doesn't change that!
I'm confident that ManUnited will win in Munich cause they are more skilfull then the Germans.
Effenberg is a f*cking bastard with one goal on his mind, to get Becks out of the game and that succeeded but that doesn't matter.
Those ****ing Germans are always lucky in this kind of games cause they score in the last minute but it won't be enough to beat Manchester!
I do think that Ferguson made a big mistake yesterday cause he played unlike ManUnited plays normally. Giggs as a midfielder instead on the left and the same goes for Beckham. He should've substituted Solksjaer for Sheringham but he waited too long.
Let's hope that he learned his lesson now and that they will play like they always do, TO WIN!!

GOOOOOOOOO UNITED!!

My first team when I was kid was United - mostly because they had George Best. When he left, it all went pear-shape. I did as someone from Oz had suggested - supported my local team - Brighton, who ironically faced Utd in a great FA cup final in the 80's.

Now my son who's 5 and born here, supports Utd - I put it down mostly to brilliant marketing of a strong franchise - as a business, they by far surpass any other football team - but also because he has a cousin who lives there.

I think people should get off the backs of the Devils and their supporters. They have always played good, attractive, attacking football. With so many teams in the UK becoming dominated by imported players, Man Utd are doing well with a balanced approach to this predicament.

Unfortunately, you're always going to find a Leeds or Liverpool fan with a gripe against Utd - it's a way of life for them.

well, actually it is man u supporter that jump on us first.. anyway, personally i don't really hate man u.. only when some of the man u supporters that just couldn't accept defeat and said this and that... be a good sporty... and accept the fact..

well, to be frank, all is not lost yet... anything can still happen in munich.. and i totally believe that man u have the man power and the skill to overturn this match..

Galatasaray concede two away goals, and you think they'll be in the next round? You seriously expect to a) draw in the Bernabeu or b) score two or more goals in the Bernabeu? Wake up. Want a semi-final pick?

Real Madrid CF vs. FC Bayern Munchen
Valencia vs. Deportivo

Put a monkey on it.

Help?
04-04-2001, 07:38:PM
Man U still can win in Germany. No one knows what this team can do. I think Manchester United, still have a chance to win Champions league.

GO MANCHESTER UNITED!

maybe U shouldn't take it so hard, Alex Fergusan thought he was 1 smart alec, tactically, he lost and I think he deserve it.

anyway, Man U tried a lot of shots, but those never looked as dangerous as the limited ones Bayern had.
what a great counter-attacking game by Bayern. From the start, they have been patiently passing the ball around, waiting for a break. On the other hand, Man U can either looked to Ryan Giggs on the left or Solskjaer on the right, not exactly very creative I will say.

Andy Cole never threatened at all, neither did Silvestre, his 2 shots were not good enough to beat a Top-class GK like Kahn.

:D LOVL (Laughing Out Very Loud!)

Can't stop the rush...

I am not a United fan nor a Bayern fan but i think that United should go into the olympic stadium and beat them down by 7 or 8 just to shut them up. I mean they "think" they are best team in the world still.

As for that guy who thinks Gala is gonna get pass Real, You seriously think they are gonna get to the next stage by giving up 2 away goals and then go into madrid and come out of there with anything?

Amika

yape.. a 2 away goals is way too much... real just need a single goal to win the match...

That will be the best away match of Galatasaray this year in Champions League. And whoever comes next, Man Utd. or Bayern, Gala will knock them down.
(also Galatasaray are running to 5th successive league title, Fenerbahce lost to Denizlispor tonight and Gala have one match in hand.)

Bayern Munich, as a fan, will make it to the final. But, I'm not sure if they win.

As for the TV Soccer in USA. Yes, "uhhh...i don't know", I mean, this had some sort of energy to it, unlike the MLS games or the (somewhat energized) US World Cup Qualifier games. I felt there was some sort of "payment" that had to be done to Manchester U. I did get bored from about 50-70 minutes, hehe, I admit. But once Zickler and Sergio came in and started doing things I really got into it and I decided it was one of the best games I have seen, or most emotional for me.

Imagine me falling off the couch (sofa) and then jumping back up taking off the Bayern Munich jersey I had on and getting all kinds of chills down my back, that was great, I think that's why it was the best I've seen. :)
