Haven't posted in a while but after reading IGN's and Gamespot's hands on preview of the new FIFA i'm excited about this game (hope it's not like the other years when you get excited and get the big letdown though). One thing I was wondering and I'm sure other's are wondering is that with the talk of other teams being as active in the transfer market as you are and also the ability to loan players, is it possible that while you in you league and career will EA also include simulations of other league results and also player progression and stuff like that? I never played the TCM series on PC but I kinda remembered that being mentioned as a feature of that series and now with that series being shelved and it's features rolled into FIFA's do you guys think that's a possibility. I'm not sure on the current generation because of the processing power that it might take (read the PS2) but wouldn't it be possible perhaps on both version of the XBOX?

Yeah when I read the gamespot review in full I noticed that, but I'm pretty sure in the IGN preview it said it had been shelved and the team had been rolled into the EA Canada team that works on FIFA

Well i heard the same thing, but originally they said that the total fusion has been removed and maybe thats what they mean unless TCM really got cancelled then I never heard that. But if it has then im guessing we wont see the big stuff until fifa 07...

Wow, im getting pumped up. We have the ability to expand our stadium.. finally! I hate playing Champions League games in a stadium that looks like my local park!

But.. where does it say you can get players on loans? I havent read this, and figured it wouldnt be in, but if it is in then I will be dancing for joy! :bouncy:

I think this is very stupid. In the interview, with all the chat and questions and whatever, the EA man, said that if your ratings are low, your first touch control will be low, but the truth is, even if you do have low rating, and you dont use the first touch crap, You first touch will be flawless.

let me say it again....

Low rated player + first touch control =poor control

but...

Low rated player + no first touch while controling the ball = good control..

That makes no sense.

Then let us pray that you are wrong ben :), even though I think this EVERY year, I have a small suspicion that 2006 is actually going to be a different game from 2005 \o/

Tdob this is taken from the IGN hands on found at http://www.soccergaming.tv/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=1866020 :
In fact the whole concept of money management is more prominent in FIFA 06. You'll have a team budget like before, but you'll have to keep an eye on it from week to week now. Changing ticket prices, hosting games against weak competition, sponsorships, tournament payouts, and other elements factor into your team's financial health and you're responsible for all of it. You may have to wait until a particular week when your team's pockets are fat to pull off a move on the open market. Maybe you'll loan that promising young player to that struggling lower-division team so you can sell your aging star at the end of the season knowing you'll have his replacement ready. You get the money and the future is secure.
