I'm Australian, yet I know the Wollongong Wolves (who made it through for Oceania) have no chance, I think the qualifying structure should be changed.
What do you think?

There is no WCC anymore.
FIFA cancelled it due to the sponsors having financial problems.

Yeah... it's been scrapped. May be even for the next 1 or 2 seasons.

Rescheduled for 2003 apparently, a nice little **** up for Fifa.

FIFAfreak

Yeah it figures... they can't do anything right. A good WCC would be awesome if they could do it like the World Cup format with the top Champions and Cup winners only. It's funny how they cancel the WCC then recently I read that Blatter was talking about making the World Cup every 2 years! Just goes to show you what a bunch of idiots there are running FIFA and the other organizations... they really need to get their acts togehter.

I feel that making the World Cup every 2 years will be a bad move. By making it 4 years once, it can make the players and football fans alike more in eager playing and watching such an important tournament. I don't think a 2 years period can generate such enthusiasm.

Any comment?

Amika
12-06-2001, 05:01:PM
i think 4 years will be fine... especially with the amount of games that the players play nowadays i think they will get too tired if they have to continue on for playing for their country as they will need to rush for the qualification for the WC...

andylau

You got a very good point there, Amika.

That guy is a f*cking moron.

"But Nimreitz, Al Ahly beat Real Madrid in 1000 degree heat."

Madrid weren't in the middle of their season and were using the game as a tune-up. No one cares about some crappy friendly against an African team. Yet, ignorant people think it matters.

Oh, and by the way, Al Ahly could be the best African, North American, Asian, and Australian EVER. They still couldn't beat any Real Madrid side for the past 50 years.

Oh yeah, and Galatasaray could kick the ass of any team outside of Western Europe, Brazil, and Argentina.
