Yes, surely our players will be motivated since we lost the Portugue Cup to Setúbal, our main problem however, is scoring goals. Saying this, we are above Setúbal, but we mustn't understimate them. Though, I'm confident we can do a good result, and if Nuno Gomes or Mantorras score it'll be good for their moral. Two - neal would be fine.

wow! this is an improvement to last season! 3 attackers when we only have 2 forwards, and one of them is on the bench :brow: Koeman is putting a lot of effort on Roque and i hope he can prove he's our new wonderkid :p
Rocha on the left? nothing he's not done before but Rocha's place is centre back, he's one of my favourites when it comes to fighting spirit so i want he on the centre asap. we can even play with 3 centrals with this team we have since there are good options for the sides.

my bets on this match are vitoria to score, Helio Roque to score and Benfica to win.

I like Koeman's decision to go with Moreira too, the sooner he get's more regular football, the sooner he'll be our regular NT keeper (although with Scolari, I dunno..)

Personally, I don't really give a rat's ass whether or not we win tonight. This is nothing more than a glorified friendly. I might watch, but I don't really care about the outcome. I'd rather focus on the league opener next weekend against Académica.

Man, we're being miserable... The only player that's being doing well is Nuno Gomes, but we all know he can't do much completely alone in the front. I REALLY hope we have a better 2nd half!

such a crappy goal, it was preceeded of a foul by Geovanni and if it didn't touch the defenders hand it probably wouldn't have been a goal.

yeah, we need some reinforcements soon or else we're done. We just don't have any effective offence, I am literally scared of what could happen to us in the CL if we don't make some improvments soon.

indeed and I'm not scared of finishing last in the group stage really because that's likely to happen but being humilliated if we play against teams with great attacks like Barça or Arsenal.

That was a boring and badly played match. Nuno Gomes actually played well, trying to do 1-2 plays but there wasn't anyone to help him.. Ricardo Rocha and Anderson (this guy is really good) did well too, everyone else sucked.

Yes we need reenforcements so badly.. We just don't have the players for Koeman's system, LFV must shut the hell up and buy those promised players, this is really getting annoying, to say the least.

I, on the other hand, I'm worried as a benfiquista to see us playing that way, regardless the result.

Yeah i admit Setúbal sucked a lot but to be honest both teams played extremely bad and only a mistake like that decided the game... anyway what trully worries me is that this kind of mistakes are always benefiting the same side since the last year... well let's hope we can have a fair and a well disputed league, i think that's basically what we all want, and obsviouly may the best team win...

Yeah I also noticed that. At one point, he almost stopped commenting and when he did, it was only to make caustic remarks... Don't know what was wrong with him yesterday, he seemed angry, upset or bothered with something.

Maybe it was because of the sound problems at the beggining of the transmition :p Or perhaps he was upset to see such a crappy game.. Still a legend in my book though (H)
