coz he could get English citizenship
But, he still couldn't play for England.
Coz Once you play at a high level for one country then you can't play for any other !! so that's it Giggs will never play for England.
It's a strange story really coz his dad is English and his mum is Welch, and coz he didn't like his father he chose to become a welchmen ..... shame

of course there are some execptions, but only when it's countries that have split up, like East & West Germany, USSR now Russia or Crotia nd all that. or else if it was a long time ago when rules weren't so strict

Once you play a full international or at under21 level for a country that's it, no turning back

Actually, giggs played for england at youth level. Oh how I wish he would play for england because he would combine well with owen since both have superspeed. (sigh) :rolleyes:
