When Giggs is at his best there's no one that come near him as far as dribbling the ball goes.Just as an example, take the Semi leg replay versus Arsenal in 1999, Giggs picked up the ball on the halfway line and ran(with the ball) the half length of the pitch beating 4 arsenal players on the way to goal and all that in 13 seconds!!!!

A new interesting player is Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Malmö in Sweden. He will soon be playing in Ajax and will be making his 3:rd cap tomorrow against Switzerland at the age of 19, but this time with the real national team for the first time!
He's an incredible dribbler atleast compared to his Swedish fellows. He's got an interesting future...

One of the best dribblers in the world is Riquelme of Boca Juniors. He is a very talented player; last night I had the chance to see the match Boca Juniors-Palmeiras
and his opponents had a very hard time trying to stop him,they could not take the ball away from him. the final score was 2-2, but Boca classified to the final by penlty kicks.

comparing some dribblers is like comparing apples with oranges.
Giggs is a weaver. He can make a defender fall down weaving in and out when he is running at you.
Okocha is a trickster. u just don't know what the **** he is going to pull out of the hat next
Figo is a master. Ball just sticks to his feet and no matter what you do to get it away, u just can't
Maradona just left his defenders standing. He is the kind of dribbler that he will weave sometimes, trick you other times and the ball stays on his feet. He had drugs to help out ofcourse (what a shame).

I dont think drugs help you to keep the ball on your feet...

You must be hopped up on something if you think than Ryan Giggs is the best dribbler in the world. We all know that british players have no technical skills. All they ever do is play long balls, run fast and be physical in every match. I agree with you when you say that at his prime Jay Jay pulled off some amazing moves, but the best dribbler of all time has to be Garrincha from Brazil. Currently I'd say Buonanotte from River Plate is the best dribbler.

Sure he could get by people but it was only by cutting in and out, there's no crossovers or other skills.

Thats his style of play to get past defenders. he uses his speed, plays simple and effective, rather than flashing with cross overs or other skills. One of the best dribbler in his time.

if you can keep the ball as magnetically locked onto your foot as giggs can at a full sprint, you don't need crossovers.

Although I'm a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and Giggs (he has a pair of clever legs) but I must say that the best dribbler is either Maradona or Messi, Messi has advante that he's small and has "magic legs", I can remember that in a certain game, he past over 3 or 4 players (sorry, maybe my English is bad :D)
