We got lots of fragmented convos all over this board so bring all the rap/hiphop (and possible RnB for all you Ja Fool fans).

Everyone should checkout the new Twista album:

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00008VEN5.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
Kamikaze:

I just recieved it from preorder its great, twista at his best. Check out Slow Jamz, Overnight Celebrity and Hope, those are my favs. There are a lot of other great tracks as well.

On the subject of Twista, everyone checkout his colab with lil kim: thug luv.

Anyother suggestions?

Good thread... I was just thinking we should have something like this when I was looking back at the Danger Mouse thread.... I got a few tracks off that album, and I wanted to download more but they don't let you do that anymore on that website.

I recently got the whole Power Of The Dollar- 50 Cent album... It's good sh*t, better than what he does now. "Ghetto Quran", "The Hit", and "Your Life's On The Line" are the highlights for me... I'm gonna try to get No Mercy, No Fear....

Eminem's new mixtape "Straight From The Lab" is pretty good... Can-I-Bitch is a hilarious diss towards Cannibus. If you know the history of their war, and the remix of Stan that Cannibus made you'll know all the refferences he makes to that....

====
Now at first I ain't really understand the ****
Picture me for a second and imagine it
Chillin' in the Bat-Mansion and relaxin'
When all a sudden some bull**** comes across the scanners
It's Can-i-bitch on some "Stan Lives" ****
It creeped me out at first. Man this is sick
For me, being just a sick, this conflict
Gets my dick harder than arithmetic
And I know how you jealous ones envy
I shoulda knew better from the first few letters you sent me
The first two letters you were tellin' me ****
Like you respect me, like any other regular MC
The third letter you ask how come I ain't return
None of the messages at Shady Records you left me
The fourth letter: "Slim, you really startin' to upset me!"
The fifth letter told me you were comin' to get me
The sixth letter there's a bomb threat in our building
This crazy mother****er's really tryin' to kill me!
So I went back and read the first few letters that said
Some **** about a message you left
Oh ****, that's not an "E" that's an "A"
This dude wants to leave me a "massage," he's gay!!
Right away I'm on the phone with Dr. Dre
We got a bogey! (Dre: Marshall I'm on the way)
=====
Bully and Monkey See Monkey Do are other good songs. But they were out going around the net for a while now.

Greenlantern dropped a new mixtape last week, I got it the day it came out and i was disappointed :( Conspiracy Invasion pt. II was really good, Best of In Da Lab had a few good songs, Invasion pt. III....im not really feelin it.

Don't even bother with Memphis Bleek or G-Unit's "Beg For Mercy".... ...

Oh yea, 50 is makin a new album, its due out in July..... He was so good, now it's all about money and ****ty pop tracks :(

I'm gonna get the Twista album soon and get back with that...

Yeah I am probably the biggest twista fan in the uk, I still got mix tapes when he was tung twista. He set the rap speed record in 91, hes crazy. Slow Jamz isn't even one of his better songs.... Get the new album, I have seen some tracks on kazaa and on mp3 sites...

Kader I got the entire DM and Jemini album on LP and CD its great....

Oh yeah I almost forgot: everyone should checkout the new Westside Connection CD, Gangsta back to the roots.....its great.

Call 9-1-1 is phat:

[Chorus - Ice Cube]
This right here is considered a banger
Delivered With anger, your life is in danger
Beware of them strangers, holdin' them flamers
Them naggers were swagger, cuz they keep it gangsta

[Verse 1 - Ice Cube]
Just face it, I blaze ****
Yo **** is basic, my **** is matrix
Make you erase ****
Niggaz won't say ****, but DJs you ain't ****
Cuz you don't play ****, unless it's that gay ****
I'm straight off the slave ship, my style is ancient
I'm rich and I'm famous, I'm on, I'm dangerous
I came wit that language, it's mad, it's brainless
You study at Cambridge, I'm ****in' yo main bitch
Plus my ebonics is full, of gin and tonic, erotic
Yeah you got it, hypnotic, plus I got it, brrr
After nine eleven niggaz got patriotic
On nine twelve I'm like **** it nigga blaze the chronic

[Hook - Ice Cube]
Call nine eleven, then call your reverand
Then call heaven, here I come lord
Live by the gun, die by the gun
A eye for an eye when you live and die by this war

[Chorus - Ice Cube]
This right here is considered a banger
Delivered With anger, your life is in danger
Beware of them strangers, holdin' them flamers
Them naggers were swagger, cuz they keep it gangsta

[Verse 2 - Mack 10]
Yeah, now it's the mornin' after the night I just rolled
9-1-1 ain't a area code it's a gangsta mode
And I'm still in amazement on how I put it down
Emptied round after round rat-tat-tat was the sound
Now understand the situation, it was urgent
We, handeled this emergency urgently
I can't just have no nigga out there just workin' me, jerkin' me
Talkin' all kind of ****, dishin dirt on me, ****
He was a local nigga sheisty and didn't wanna pay up
So I got dressed in all black and loaded the K up
And all I could think about is revenge as I lit the J up
And even though it was late night, I still ****ed his whole day up
It was child's play, the youngster took me for a joke
Not knowin' Mack a maniac and I love the gun smoke
Make sparks in my barrel, **** flew through his apparel
Stupid mother****er lost his life over dinero

[Hook - Ice Cube]
Call nine eleven, then call your reverand
Then call heaven, here I come lord
Live by the gun, die by the gun
A eye for an eye when you live and die by this war

[Chorus - Ice Cube]
This right here is considered a banger
Delivered With anger, your life is in danger
Beware of them strangers, holdin' them flamers
Them naggers were swagger, cuz they keep it gangsta

[Verse 3 - WC]
It ain't safe no ****in' mo'
I swear on everything I love, my hood, my momma, my soul
This mother****in' Dub, is hall of bang nigga, I claim nigga
Like PCP to the brain, it's like kel runnin my fame nigga
White lightnin' I'm sippin', snickerin', slippin' the crip
And like a fiend, I tremble, shiver and them blow your doam to smitherens
Act up, no actor, starch crease ragger
Dick harder than viagra, Dub push your ick backwards
Connect alumni, but the gun high
Bloods and crips and when we touch down we turn niggaz hoods 'til the guy
says grip
Squeeze lead, to the y'all dead, cuz I'm ****ed up in the can and I
**** a bitch over whether she can blew or all red
The industry most hated, nigga get at us, we ready, Dub, Mack and Cube
Like Saddam, Bin Laden and no jag in the Chevy
Back again, momma there go that man again
Grab the gun, them niggaz on one
Call 9-1-1

[Chorus - Ice Cube]
This right here is considered a banger
Delivered With anger, your life is in danger
Beware of them strangers, holdin' them flamers
Them naggers were swagger, cuz they keep it gangsta

I finally got my hands on T.I. - Trap Muzik

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0000AKQGT.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg

It's not as good as I thought it would be, not really what I expected. I was misled by the track from NFS "24's". Sometimes he gets annoying, he talks too much, sometimes you just wanna be like "shut the **** up, I wanna hear the ******* beat"..... you'll get a song where he talks "ya knouhmsayin bla bla nigga, ya heard shawty, ya knuhamsayin" for a minute. Then there's one song that's so annoying it actually hurts your ears. If you get this CD, stay away from "Let Me Tell You Something"... there's that robotic voice singing in the background that freaks out your ears :| But overall the CD's not that terrible, it's like 5 or 6/10.

Songs that are worth getting:
24's <<< it's hot
Be Easy
Rubberband Man
I Can't Quit

Can't stop the rush...

This is my ******* destiny, hurting people, stop their immortality.
I won't never say sorry, You won't never forgive Me,
Remember, I am still here and no one want's to stop Me.
Life is full of tears, full of sufferance,
Please don't wonder When You achieve the deaths entrance.
Someone will wait for You, but It won't be Me,
You are so blind that You can't see. Death is for You?
No, death is for Me, but I am the judge and I reckon if You're free.
You are still alive because I haven't found You,
But one day I will come to indict You.
Life is full of roads without escape, at end of one road I will wait.
I will stop You, You will see my eyes. I will hurt You, You will cry.

A phase? lol

Son, if you think 50 Cent and Chingy is hardcore and not mainstream then something is wrong with you.

Although im sure the 13 yr old girls buying the albums buy them for the mighty lyrics Chingy spits.:|

Listen to some Chino XL, Ras Kass, Canibus, Immortal Technique, Big L, Blackalicious, Pharaohe Monch, even some Aesop Rock if you can understand lyrics besides right thurrrrrrrrr before talking to me about a so called "phase".

Thanks to the talents of enterprising remixers, Jay-Z's The Black Album is available in a lot more versions than just clean or explicit.

Last month the Roc released The Black Album on vinyl with no beats underneath Jay's bravura lyrics, spurring producers and DJs to rework his farewell disc into creations such as The Brown Album and even The Grey Album, which combines Jay's words with music from the Beatles' The White Album.

"I think it's real good," Young Guru, who engineers most of Jay's recordings, said of the trend. "From Jay's perspective, he was real conscious of it. When we were doing album listening for The Black Album, he was playing a song and he looked around the room and only a couple of people got [what he was saying]. Then he asked me to play it a cappella and he looked around the room and everybody got it. He really saw the difference."

Guru said Jay then told him he wanted to break with the Roc's tradition of not releasing a cappella 12-inches, so producers could "remix the hell out of it."

Former A Touch of Jazz producer Kevin Brown was one of the first to do so, crafting the jazz- and funk-infused The Brown Album. "To tell the truth, I really wasn't going to do it," Brown said. He was leery because he knew other producers and DJs would be making their own remixes and he was a fan of the original. Eventually, though, friends convinced Brown to try his hand at it.

"I was just gonna take whatever old beats I had, but once I got into it, I was like, 'If I'm gonna do it, I'mma do it for real.' Plus with The Black Album, a lot of his hooks have melodies, so you can't just throw whatever beat you have lying around underneath it. The beat has to be in tune."

Brown's hardest undertaking was the Timbaland-produced "Dirt Off Your Shoulder." "Timbaland is pretty straight-ahead," Brown said. "There's not a lot of swing to his beat, so the first beat I had for 'Dirt Off Your Shoulder' didn't fit with his vocals. I had to make another beat with a more on-point time signature. I still couldn't make the hook fit exactly, so I ended up [rapping] the hook on it."

When Kno of the Atlanta rap troupe CunninLynguists crafted his rhythmically abstract Kno vs. Hov: The White Album, he said it was just a matter of opening his ears before he hit the beat machine.

"You have to really listen to the lyrics and get a gist of what the person was trying to get across," Kno said. "Like, 'OK, where am I gonna drop the beat out? Where am I gonna add a changeup?' It's pretty much just paying attention to the lyrics and getting their vibe across."

Kno used beats he already had in the stash for half the album, and for the other half he devised new soundscapes. "I wanted to re-create the whole album and give one mood to the album," he explained. "I really enjoyed the original, though. I still listen to it. Releasing an a cappella version of The Black Album, all you're doing is extending a buzz. It kinda takes on a life of its own. People may be still talking about it in some other form. They're talking about the original but also talking about these remixes. I think more major labels should do that."

Another notable reworking, DJ Lt. Dan Presents The Black Album Remixes: Back to Basics, uses famous instrumentals by Brooklyn hip-hop acts such as Black Moon and Masta Ace.

Of all the remixes, the most talked about lately and one of the most interesting in concept is The Grey Album, from Los Angeles producer Danger Mouse. Like most good ideas, it's deceptively simple: take Jay-Z's The Black Album and layer its vocals over one of rock's most ambitious musical masterpieces, the Beatles' The White Album.

Over two and a half weeks in December, Danger Mouseengineered new beats culled from the sounds of The White Album, cribbing drum hits, plundering piano loops and stealing guitar riffs before meshing them into recognizable but recontextualized riffs. "For me, it was an obvious thing to do," Danger Mouse said. "I'm a big Jay-Z fan. Always have been. Same thing with the Beatles. ... And once I got the idea to do this, I had to do it before anyone else."

What makes The Grey Album so ambitious is how Danger Mouse engineered the beats to fit the personalities of the original songs. On The Black Album's "What More Can I Say," Jay-Z reflects on his success, seemingly already nostalgic about his top-of-the-hill status on what is ostensibly his retirement album. On The Grey Album, Danger Mouse renders the same sentiment by flipping the shuffling drums and mournful piano of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps."

The Rick Rubin-produced "99 Problems" framed Jay-Z's boastful bravado with beats that resurrected rap's early homage to rock breaks. The Grey Album's version does the same thing, using the sneering guitars of "Helter Skelter."

"You can throw an a cappella over the beat and as long as they're the same [time], it'll somewhat match. But it doesn't mean it'll feel natural," Danger Mouse explained. "I didn't want it to sound that kind of way. I wanted to make sure I had the feelings of the song."

What The Grey Album also has seemed to do is open up Jay-Z to rock fans in a way that his street-reared, club-ready anthems have not. And it may do the same for rap fans who didn't know they liked the Beatles.

"I love the Beatles, but nobody knows that there's breaks in there," said Chad Hugo of the Neptunes, who produced two songs on The Black Album. After hearing The Grey Album for the first time, he nodded in approval. "This is dirty," he said.

Go To Sleep

[Eminem]
I ain't gonna eat, I ain't gonna sleep
Ain't gonna breathe, til I see, what I wanna see
And what I wanna see, is you go to sleep, in the dirt
Permanently, you just being hurt, this ain't gonna work
For me, it just wouldn't be, sufficient enough
Cuz we, are just gonna be, enemies
As long as we breathe, I don't ever see, either of us
Coming to terms, where we can agree
There ain't gonna be, no reasoning, speakin wit me
You speak on my seed, then me, no speak-a ingles
So we gonna beef, and keep on beefin, unless
You're gonna agree, to meet with me in the flesh
And settle this face to face, and you're gonna see
A demon unleashed in me, that you've never seen
And you're gonna see, this gangster beat on himself
I see you D-12, and thanks, but me need no help
Me do this one all by my lonely, I don't need fifteen of my homies
When I see you, I'm seeing you, me and you only
We never met, but best believe you gon know me
When I'm this close, to see you exposed as phony
Come on, bitch, show me, pick me up, throw me
Lift me up, hold me, just like you told me
You was gonna do, that's what I thought, you're pitiful
I'm rid of you, all of you, Ja, you'll get it too!

[Chorus]
Now go to sleep bitch!
Die, mother****er, die! Ugh, time's up, bitch, close ya eyes
Go to sleep, bitch! (what?)
Why are you still alive? How many times I gotta say, close ya eyes?
And go to sleep bitch! (what?)
Die mother****er die, bye, bye, mother****er, bye, bye!
Go to sleep bitch! (what?)
Why are you still alive? Why, die mother****er, ah, ah, ah...
...Go to sleep bitch!

[Obie Trice]
We got you niggaz, nervous
On purpose, to hurt your focus, you'se not MC's, you'se worthless
You'se not them G's, you'se a circus, you'se no appeal, please
You'se curtains, you use words, cool heard, slurred in two thousand third
You'se purpin, you'se no threat, who's ya servin?
When lyrically oughta bury you beneath the dirt when
You **** with a label overseeing the Earth
Shady mutha****a, O. Trice's birth
And as I mold, I become a curse
So we can put down the verse, take it to the turf
Cock and squeeze, and he who reach the hearse is he who
Depicts fiction in his verse
And as I breathe, and you be deceased
The world believe you deceived just to speak
You'se not the streets, you'se the desk
Use not your chest nigga, use a vest
Before two's choose ya rest, you chose death
Six feet deep, nigga, that's the debt

[Chorus]

[DMX]
Hey dog, I'ma walk like a beast, talk like the streets
I'ma stay blazin New York wit the heat
Stalk on the beat, walk wit my feet
Understand my pain, the rain ain't sleet
Peep how I'm moving, peep where I'm going
**** don't seep, then sleep not knowin
But I'ma keep growing, getting larger than life
Easy-going with the same one that started the fight
He be knowing how dog get, when dog gon bite
Tried to show him the dog ****, it's dog for life
Grand champ, and my Blood Line is tight
Cuz it's all good, it's all right
Niggas tried to holla, but couldn't holla back
Now they gots to swallow, everything in the sac
Blood Line, and, we can go track for track
Damn dog, why'd you have to do them niggas like that?

[Chorus]

[Eminem]
All you mother****ers, take that!
Here, take this too, bitch! Uh, Uh, Uh, Uh, Waaaaaahoo
We're killing all you mother****ers dead, all of you
Fake ass gangsters! No more press! No more press!
Rot, mother****ers, rot! Decay, in the dirt, bitch, in the mother******* dirt!
Die nameless, bitch, die nameless! No more fame!
Ahhhhhhhhhh! Hahahaha
Yo X, come on man, Obie, let's go, haha
It's alot better when it's played.

Dr. Dre's New CD is 'the Most Advanced Rap Record Ever'

Hip-hop maestro Dr. Dre's next album is being touted as "the most advanced rap album ever" by its co-producer Scott Storch.

The legendary recording artist-turned-producer - who is responsible for setting Eminem on the road to stardom - is currently recording 'The Detox,' which has a slated release date of 2005.

Dre, 38, released his last album 'The Chronic' in 2001 and has already lined up the "Lose Yourself" star plus 50 Cent, Snoop Doog and Knoc-Turn'al to appear on the eagerly-anticipated record.

Storch enthuses, "I'd describe it as the most advanced rap album musically and lyrically we'll probably ever have a chance to listen to."

"When I work with Dre, he usually does more than 100 records and then picks his favorites. But there are all kinds of new rhythms in there. He always tries to stay a couple of steps ahead of the field."

"Dr. Dre always tries to top his last one. That's why he spends so much time putting them together and they don't come out every five minutes. He puts a lot of time, energy and genius into the stuff."

The thing about Twista is if you listen to some of his freestyle stuff he is honestly not saying anything it is just one big long word. I remember I got to wait on him a while back at the restraunt I used to work at he was pretty cool. No one else noticed him. Even when he talks it does it with a sort of face paced. Speaking or rappers who don't get alot of credit or pub what about Lil' Flip. I think his flow is awesome. I heard that he does alot of his verses freestyle. If you can listen to some of his early stuff. He is wicked as far as freestyle goes. Even if he just drops like one verse on a song it is always great. Like there was some garbage Three 6 mafia song he was on and he killed it. Or that Like a Pimp song he carried David Banner that entire song. David Banner should just quit because he will never have another hit song again.

Oceania hip hop is where it's at:

Anyone who's interested, check out Hilltop Hoods - The Sentinel, Dumb Enough, Walk On and The Nosebleed Section. Downsyde - El Questro, Gifted Life and Undefined. Ermm, also try Matty B - Attention Deficit Individual and Fridays and also Not Many by Scribe. They all have distinctive Aussie accents (except for Scribe, who is a Kiwi) and there are some sick hooks in there.

The lyrics to Walk On, by the Hilltop Hoods:

[MC Suffa]

I speak from the heart but only when I drink
And I only ever sleep when I'm too tired to think
Restlessness, the reaction that you will find
From stress I guess, and having a compassionate mind

I worry about the machine of progress, ain't no stoppin' it
The forests we destroy and the world we build on top of it
Mercenarys get paid, salaries to slaughter
Girls obssessed with body image find calories in water
Nurses comfort 7 year old casualties of mortar
A peasant's daughter caught up in the war for a border

And at home we treat our refugees like criminals
Detention centre's just a catch phrase for a minimal
Security prison, we drive gold-trimmed cars
Down the road, an Afghani kid grows up behind bars
So we wonder why they hate the West (I wonder)
When we treat them like, they're second class citizens at best

We're all pawns in a game, the USA's miniatures
Aussie foreign policy with George Bush's signature
Kids died for a watch and blue chip stocks
Did they do big pop, or was it two big cocks
I wanna sue Kid Rock, for making rednecks think they're hip hop
Wanna swallow people's pain and spit it from the Hilltop

Wanna affect change in the subjects that talk on
Connect strangers, work together, and walk on

[Chorus]
And you don't quit, don't stop [x4]

[MC Pressure]

Pollutin' airways, mankind strays with no reforming
So slap on that sunscreen and enjoy the global warming
Cos ignoring world issues is what we all do best
Just like Aussie politicians shoe shining for the US

They say losing thoughts to the few that trace (? I couldn't transcribe that properly)
Our skylines that clog the sea we swimming in consumer waste
The fumes of hate rise globally when will it cease
The day we try and find a little peace within the Middle East
We shatter their borders yelling 'Deplete their arms'
It's just war for black gold so they can grease their palms

We all need a scapegoat, someone who can cop blame
We're just wolves in sheep's clothing, killing in God's name
And that's worldwide, like global over population
Mind a world drive of natural resources to feed our nations
Have no time for waste, I see it everywhere
I feel like throwin' a flag of protest in Tiananmen Square
We need to care for Mother Easrth and all of her natural defences
But talk is cheap, and takin' action is expensive

We wear our hearts on our sleeves, our flags on our borders
And that's why nuclear testing's done in Pacific foreign waters
We follow reporters, with the words of a scholar
And gather personal opinions from a rag with a dollar man
This is not a subject I feel lightly that I can talk on
The attitude is one man of many, so walk on

[Chorus]

It's an awesome track, and it took me ages to type it out, so go buy their album freaks!

SYNCHRONIZE THOUGHTS i SUNSHINE), mnóstwo koncertów i go?cinnny udzia? (w nagraniu SCRIBE 2001) na p?ycie BIG THINGS, DJ'a i producenta P-Money. W lipcu ubieg?ego roku ukazuje si? jego pierwszy singiel STAND UP. W tym momencie sprawy nabieraj? niesamowitego tempa. W trzy tygodnie kawa?ek osi?ga 1. miejsce listy singli w Nowej Zelandii i w tym samym czasie kr??ek pokrywa si? platyn? (ponad 10 tys. sprzedanych egzemlarzy). Ostatecznie nagranie to utrzymuje si? na li?cie Top 50 przez prawie sze?? miesi?cy i staje si? nowozelandzkim singlem roku. W po?owie pa?dziernika ukazuje si? debiutancki album Scribe'a THE CRUSADER. Do dzi? album jest ju? trzykrotnie platynowy (ponad 45 tys. sprzedanych egzemplarzy) i wci?? utrzymuje si? w czo?ówce sprzeda?y p?yt w Nowej Zelandii. Zreszt? Scribe zmieni? te? histori? nowozelandzkiego rynku muzycznego, jest bowiem pierwszym rodzimym artyst? którego singiel i album by?y na szczycie w tym samym czasie. Dok?adnie 1 grudnia ukaza? sie drugi singiel naszego bohatera NOT MANY - THE REMIX! (go?cinnie Savage z zespo?u Deceptikonz i Con Psy z grupy Frontline). I znowu sukces, w sze?? tygodnii nagranie dochodzi do szczytu zestawienia. Producentem tego kawa?ka jest P-Money."

Immortal Technique got some good sh*t. Almost all the tracks on Revolutionary Vol 2 is good(Peruvian Cocaine, Harlem Streets, Crossing the Boundary being the best).

Jedi Mind Tricks are good but I think they kinda fell off a bit on Visions of Ghandi. Violent By Design was the best album. Jus Allah was good but he lost his mind now.:crazyboy:

Is there anyone more irrelevent in Rap than Master P. I mean has even had a song close to being any good in the past six years or so. He just seems to be hanging around with his boy toy errr son/no talent bow wow rip off Lil' Romeo. And why is it the New No Limit I mean the old No Limit was crap except for Mystical.

For someone who is good I think Camron does not get enough credit. His style and flow is so different but you hardly notice it if you don't pay attention to it. He is so smooth and his ryhmes are so great. He can come out of leftfield with stuff you don't except. Also Just Blaze always seems to make him some great beats that suit him perfectly.

I'll list some songs I like at this moment..
Guru ft. Angie Stone - Keep Your Worries :: well produced, overally a good track.
Hieroglyphics - Halo :: damn great and original sound like often in Hieroglyphics tracks. Good flow and lyrics imo.
Fjärde Världen - För Alltid :: Swedish stuff.. I can't understand all the lyrics but as a whole I like it.
the firm (Nas, Cormega, Escobar, Foxy Brown) - Affirmative Action :: Listened to this once again this morning after not hearing it for like a year. Still good. (Y)
REdrama - I know they watching :: a Finnish rapper with a strange voice but very good songs. Has many more good songs as well, I recommend. :)
Talib Kweli & Hi Tek - Eternalists :: brilliant.

Im currently mostly listening to the a Cunninglynguists mixtape Sloppy Seconds Vol. 1 and their album titled 'Will Rap for Food'.
on the mixtape there are some good tracks, but then there are these 'freestyles' on a well known beat. those seem to be invading mixtapes nowadays.

to pick one especially great song, I'd say 'Cunninlynguists - Thugged Out Since Cub Scouts f. Jugga The Bully & Mr. Raw'. It's got good overall flow, a nice original beat/producing and well, it's just good. the lyrics are funny in a way.

i like most rap my favourite groups/artists have to be:

the luniz - noones heard much of them in europe except for 5 on it but they have had 3 solid albums with loads of funny songs

mexakinz - good latin rap artists

mc ren - from the n.w.a. is a solid rapper and should be listened to if youre into hardcore rap.

2 live crew - very oldskool funny stuff

above the law - ultimate gangsta rap

mobb deep - old albums were good but sort of sold out on infamy.

westside connection - classic gangsta rap

geto boys - good lyrics but not good rappers

songs to get ( you will enjoy them all):

luniz - 20 bluntz a day
mexakinz - confessions
mc ren- final frontier
2 live crew - we want some p$$y
above the law - menace to society
mobb deep - g.o.d. part III
westside connection - gangstas make the world go round
geto boys - damn it feels good to be a gangsta

It was easy to realise that it was unfinished, but most of the tracks sound good already. Especially the one featuring Mary J. Blige. An amazing album coming out later on.

I have Common - Resurrection (on mp3's :( ) and I think that it's mainly a good album. Not so "produced", but good rhymes and some really good tracks as a whole. Especially 'Chapter 13' is a good track.

Talib deserves to go multiplatinium because of everything he represents. I'll never buy 50 cent or Eminem, because as an art form, I like it, but for all they say, they don't deserve my money. someone in the hiphopmusic.com said that and I solely agree.

It looks like College Dropout with some extra-tracks. Or well, I can't be sure really, but I got most of those tracks on a bunch too. Maybe 'twas a stolen version too?

It had some tracks that made it on the final version and some that didn't. "MY Way" was one of the tracks that didnt. You should get the advanced songs that were left off, because they were some of the better songs in my opinion. Would have been better if he had put those songs on there instead of the many skits he threw on the album.

OK, this is my review...

http://images-eu.amazon.com/images/P/B0001Z53AQ.03.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

The CD lacks something. I can't put my finger on it, it's lacking something that Devil's Night had. Just the overall atmosphere of the album. There's 17 songs (+4 skits), and most of them sound very much alike. Similar beats, and all hooks sang by Eminem sound the same. The singles My Band and 40 Oz. don't match Purple Pills and Fight Music from the previous album. I'm not even gonna say anything about My Band. 40 Oz. is a party song... that's the only place it will work, but it doesn't take much to make ag good party song. Keep Talking and 6 In The Morning would be my favorite songs on this album, except that they've been out already for months.

The beat on D12 World (the song) is very characteristic for Kanye West, but I wouldn't call it good. I expected more, it sounds like a College Dropout reject. Hi-Tek made the beat for How Come. I'm used to Hi-Tek making better beats, but it's good.

Good Die Young- best song on the album. It's a tribute to the deceased member, Bugz. This song has the right atmosphere I was talking about in the beginning... Ironically, Eminem is not on this track. Beat produced by Kon Artis.

American Psycho II is really good too. Catchy hook by B-Real.

Just Like U and U R The One - don't fit here. I don't know what they're doing on this album. When I saw those titles, I thought they'd be Murda INC disses (dissing Ja Rules RnB love songs or whatever)... seriously, "U R The One" what the ****? >U R< that's like from 1998.

I expected more from Eminem on this album. Swifty and Proof sound really good. Bizarre- if it weren't for the pact they had made way in the past, I don't think he'd be even part of the group. His rhymes and flow are weak.

Overall 5/10. There's 21 tracks on this album, but it could be easily cut down to 10 or 12. If you can get it cheap/free it's worth just for the few good tracks.

I agree it's not way near as good as the first album, but i knew it wouldnt be before i bought it. I liked atleast 15 songs on the first album, i only like 4 or 5 on the new one, in order ill put the best 5 songs on the album:

1) Loyalty
2) Git up
3) B!tch
4) 6 in the morning
5) How come

BTW i HATE My band with a passion, ths tune sounds like MIDI music. Very commercial. But Eminem is smart he knows the 13 year old white boys will buy it by releasing crap like that, atleast the album don't have crap like that. No way near as good as Devil's night. Best D12 song ever is "That's How..."

Dilated Peoples - Neighborhood Watch -album is an impressive combination of turntablism, good production and the typical elements of rap/hiphop music.

World on Wheels is a great track on that album.

On what track was the beat on the new Redman mixtape 'Ill at Will Mixtape Vol.1 '. The song on that mixtape is named Brick Intensions. It might've been something dre produced, but I can't be sure.

I burned a CD a few days ago, listenin to it now... i just thought i'd post this song:

Dead Prez - Mind Sex

Get that song... it's tight... slow, nice beat, cool to kickback and do nothing. Even if you're not in love, the overal tone of the song is just... soothing :p

It's time for some mind sex, we ain't got to take our clothes off yet
We can burn the incense, and just chat
Relax, I got the good vibrations
Before we make love let's have a good conversation

Pardon me love but you seem like my type
What you doin tonight? you should stop by the site
We could, roll some weed play some records and talk
I got a fly spot downtown Brooklyn, New York
Now I know you think I wanna ****, no doubt
but tonight we'll try a different route, how bout we start
With a salad, a fresh bed of lettuce with croutons
Later we can play a game of chess on the futon
See i ain't got to get in your blouse
It's your eye contact, that be getting me aroused
When you show me your mind, it make me wanna show you mines
Reflecting my light, when it shines, just takin our time
Before the night's through, we could get physical too
I ain't tryin to say I don't wanna ****, cause I do
But for me boo, makin love is just as much mental
I like to know what I'm gettin into

This track from the RBG album by Dead Prez is ****in hard.
Dead Prez - Hell Yeah(Pimp The System)

Sittin' in the living room on the flo' hung on pain
got me on some migrain **** but I'ma maintain
Nigga got two or three dollars to my name
and my homies in the same boat goin' through the same thing
ready for a cape, steady plottin' for the paper
we been livin' in the dark since April
on the candle, gotta get a handle
my homie got a 25 automatic added to the gamble
nigga get the phone book look up in the yellow page
lemme tell you how we gonna get paid
we gon' order pizza, when we see the driver
we gon' stick the 25 up in his face
steppin' outside like warriors and to the notorious southside

one weapon to the four of us, hidin' in the corridors
til' we see the Dominoes car headlights
white boy in the wrong place at the right time
soon as the car door open up he mine
we roll up quick and put the pistol to his rolls
by the look on his face he probly ****ed in his clothes
you know what this is st-stick up
hittin' the dog from the neck up
you ran into the wrong niggas
we runnin down the block hot with these pizza boxes
so we split up and met back at the appartment

Hell Yeah
yo ain't you hungry my nigga
hell yeah
you wann get paid my nigga
hell yeah
ain't you tired of starvin' my nigga
hell yeah, hell yeah

I know a way we can get paid
you can get down but you can't be afraid
let's go to the DMV and get a ID
the name says you but the face says me
now it's yo' turn take my paperwork
like 1,2,3 let's make it work
then fill out out the credit card application
then it's gonna be about three weeks of waitin'
for American Express dicovers the card
Platinum Visa Mastercard
cuz when we was boothed and **** then we was targets
now we just walk right up and say charge it
to the game we rockin' brand names
well known at the 'partment store chains
even got the boys in the crew a few thangs
popo never know who to true blame
store after store ya' know we kept rollin'
wait two weeks report the car stolen
repeat the cycle like a laundrymat
like a glitch in the system thats hard to catch
comin' out the mall, with them shopping bags
so we can take 'em right back and get the cash
yeah, get a friend and do it again
damn right that's how we pay the rent

Down to get this paper
I'm down for the caper, we steady on the grind
It's a daily struggle
We all gotta hustle, this is the way we survive

I kmow a caper
we can get some government paper
ya' know food stamps, can we really do that
hell yeah right there for the takin'
**** welfare we say reparations
Ya' know the grind
get up early get on the line and just wait
everybody on break
that's part of the game and when they call your name
Miss caseworker lemme state my claim
I'm homeless, jobless, time is hard
about hopeless, but I gotta eat regardless
no family to run to I'm 22
now tell me what the **** am I supposed to do
my sad story made her feel close to me
I made her feel like it was in emergency
and when I came to the crib niggas couldn't believe
I came back with a big bag of groceries

Every job I had I had to get
on the first day I found out how to pimp the system
two steps ahead of the manager
gettin' over on the regular tax-free money out the register

and when I'm workin' late night stockin boxes
I'm creepin' their merchandises
And don't put me on dishes I'm droppin' them bitches
and takin' all day just to mop the kitchen
****, we ain't gettin paid commision, minimum wage
modern day slave conditions
got me flippin' burgers with no power
and can't even buy on off what I make in an hour
I'm not one to kiss ass for the top position
I take mine off the top like a politician
where I'm from doin' dirt is a part of livin'
I got mouths to feed do I gotsa' get it

Hell Yeah
You down to roll my nigga
Hell Yeah
You ready to get your hands dirty my nigga
Hell Yeah
Your mama need money and thangs my nigga
Hell Yeah, Hell Yeah

If you claimin' gansta
Then bang on the system, and show that you ready to ride
Til' we get our freedom
We got to get over, we steady on the grind

The Pretty Toney Album is dope. I know it's poppy as opium, but that song with Missy elliot is just so damn catchy. :o I cant not like it.

Anyway, while were discussing Wu, the best solo effort ever by any Wu artist was GZA's Liquid Swords. Hands down, that **************** was RAW AS FVCK. From top to bottom.

This wud be wkd if this happens!

Monday Night Fight Klub announced that it will host the "Battle of Four" if 50 Cent, Jadakiss, The Game and Fat Joe agree to participate.

Fight Klub, the underground emcee battle, proposes to amicably end the present beef by organizing a battle between the aforementioned feuding rappers. Borrowing a boxing match formula, the contestants would lyrically spar in front of a crowd for a grand prize of $1 million dollars. 50, Jada, Game and Joe have yet to agree to the battle.

Monday Night Fight Klub often provides a stage for upstart artists to gain exposure. Jin previously won a $50,000 battle at Fight Klub while Remy Ma's buzz grew bigger when she defeated Lady Luck twice at the event and won a $20,000.

I don't like dre as a rapper that much, as a producer he is class. Nas would get more recognition if he started talking about money, hoes, cars and clothes but I'm glad he doesn't. Too bad conscience hip hop isn't a big hit with the general crowd. Love the song and video Just a moment by Nas.

Nas next video is "Unauthorized Biography of Rakim"

http://www.hiphopgame.com/news.php3?id=1042

Nas announced that he had just shot the video for the single U.B.R. (Unauthorized Biography of Rakim), it should be out really soon.

'The next rhymebook is definitely KRS One for the next album, I'm putting that together now', Nas said.
As for his other projects, he mentioned that he was currently working on Quan's album but also with other MCs. 'I'm still working on my lil' man Nashawn' Nas revealed, 'I had to leave him back for a minute 'cause he was not tryin' to focus but he's getting hungry again, he's ready.'

When asked about other songs to appear on his next album, Nas warned 'Watch out for for 'These are our heroes pt. 2 cause a lot of names are left out.'

Nas is a great rapper, just not talked about too much. I think Streets Disciple wasn't as good as it could have been. There was a few good songs on there, Just a Moment was a great song being my favourite on the album, but Nas cant seem to recreate the same quality and impact as Illmatic did, none the less hes still one of the top rappers around today.

Psy4 de la Rime is my favourite group. Great lyrcis, great instrumentals... The group's leader Soprano is becoming the Best MC of France thanks to his album from his label Street Skillz, "Mains Pleines de Ciment 2". Psy4 will out their new album in some months... I can't wait :)

Yeah, so who ever said Neighbourhood Watch was good is wrong, there's only one good track, and that's 'This Way' with Kanye.

Common album still blazing here, also spinning some Swedish hip hop from Ison och Fille, not too shabby.
