For those who think Real Madrid only buy Attackers ...

This Summer we bought...

Two Attackers(Robinho & Baptista)

and

Three Defensive Players (Ramos, Garcia, and Diogo)
or
Four, if you count Cicinho as a summer transfer

Pretty boy or not, he's a damn good player.

Man, I was waiting until after the transfer window closed to start my FM game again (we wiped our computer), but I don't know if I want to be Sevilla anymore. Baptista, Ramos, and Dario Silva are gone. Baptista and Silva are my best players.

I was gonna praise Real for the wonderful business they made on Owen sale.... but than they go and do this. $27M for a defender who's never even been tested on the big stage? For $27M you can almost buy any central defender in the world.

So basically I concur with barthez4, Ugh.

This might surprise you, but this is wonderful news for Sevilla. I, for one, am thrilled. This is a youngster from our cantera and he's made the club 27 million euros. The best part is this player is not worth 27 million euros, not by a long shot. He's good, but he's not THAT good. He's a fabrication of the media. I think he will fit in beautifully with Raul in that regard. Sevilla has more canteranos who will fill in his spot just fine.

I'm going to celebrate. 27 MILLION EUROS, FOR FREE!!! :rockman:

Oh, I'd like to remind you Real fans of the Marca headline a few weeks back that said, "Los dos para 30 millones." Now you've got the both of them for 51 million. Thank you Real Madrid.

 Another Madrid fan scoffing at a player because Marca doesn't blow them. Kanoute's signing was a drop in the bucket. When the next trading period comes we will see who Sevilla gets. Until then... enjoy the fruits of your 51 million euros. If the press has kept you happy with Raul for this long, I think you will be happy with Ramos too. Both sides win.

If this comes from a guy who sees him week in week out than :|

Really, for that kinda money for a defender at this age, he should easily be the best under 20 defender of all time..... which he isnt by a long shot.

In the next couple of games, just ignore the press and focus on how many pelotazos Ramos launches in a game. Then ask yourself if he is worth 27 million euros.

According to Marca (which I hate but I will quote anyways), Del Nido commented that no player is worth 27 million euros, much less a central defender.

Yeah, but I bet he's ecstatic that he got this much money for Ramos. He probably would have been happy to sell him for less but the fans would have killed him. This way he gets the most money and he can't be blamed. Win-win.

Anyways this is Real first SPANISH SIGNING in 5 years. vagegdfsdfs burn in hell for posting that, I think we can all do without it. Makes soccer look like a sport for queers, I'm officially ashamed to play this sport. Ever since Beck his follwers started this crap, it has given soccer a bad rep. Soccer is one things, but modeling is another thing. They don't mix (period). 20$ says all this guy does is sing that westside story song I'm so pretty like Robert Deniro in analyze that. He makes fluffy's best friend look hetero, damn just look at that smiley, prancing and dancing, stupid pink elephant.

It seems that I have to give up football for FOOTBALL...AMERICAN FOOTBALL! Not that canadian it one though cuz it sucks balls. A real man's sport full anabolic steroids, pain killers, injuries, and fat overweight players running at speeds of 40 mph. Yeah That's the ticket. And after the game we'll drink some beers and roast a pig, while beckham drinks his shirley temples and takes his ballet lessons.

WAIT A TIC... football players take ballet, fuuck football. I guess I'll play tennis, a real man's sport with raquets and puny balls made of rubber. Wait RUBBER...BALLS... bad combination.

How about golf... put it in the hole.... scratch that.

Guys help me out with another sport that won't affect my limbido, because as you know it's my limbido were talking about here, not this queer ramos who is at the same time a good soccer player who definately deserved a transfer to REAL from lowly sevilla.

Maybe I try too hard. I think I should just go back to my pointless opinions that no one takes a moment to look at like that guy with leg thing... you know what's his usernamer... MORON yeah that's it. I'll go back to being like moron a poignant sadistical pedophile, yeah that's the ticket. Good day.

People dont understand something.

I believe paying 27€ m for Ramos is a lot of money but if he can be a starter in Madrid for the next years, then is not many money.

Florentino bought more than a player buying Ramos, he bought ilussion for Real Madrid fans. It have been a bad year for us cause everybody keep talking about Ronaldinho and Puyol instead talking about Ronaldo, Zidane, etc. We bought our Puyol (Ramos) and our Ronaldinho (Robinho). And that something non-madrid fans cant understand.

We are all agree Sergio Ramos should not cost 27€ m. But is a player we need at this moment, not for our defense but for our self-steem.

God, i dont know why ever1 is goin on about this deal, we've paid £18m for a young, talented, SPANISH defender, who has allready shown he can play well in La Liga, like Mourinho said when they bought SWP, when clubs in the same league negotiate for a home grown, talented player you have to pay big money because thier club wants to keep them, thats football, if you want a big player, you pay big money.

Real Madrid's Happy - we got a player who we really needed.

Sevilla's Happy - They got a s**t load off cash of us to srengthen thier squad.

End of story.

Nothing is meaningless in reference to the worlds best defender :fluffy:

Diego was dead on, though. This is like making a thread for when Chelsea overpay for, oh, just about anyone. Yah, its stupid to do, but nobody cares all that much when a team is rolling in it. Madrid had what, 175 million Euros to spend on ground improvement and transfers this year (correct me if im wrong) and when Gerrard stayed, most of that money went towards, I guess, Robinho, Baptista and Ramos. That was before selling owen

Bottom line, I guess, is that they could have paid 40 million for him, and it wouldntve mattered all that much more.
