Oh, and by the way, I'm not Turkish... =) I just live here, but I feel there's far too much prejudice on Turks. They are nice people actually. =)

i totally agree with you my friend. i am not turkish eighter but i became a big gs fan after gs demoloshing the 2 english teams (leeds and arsenal) and also winning the supper cup. these days any turkish teams are challenging, like for example last week fenerbahce had a tough game against antalya and besiktas have lost against gaziantep. this was not true 10 years ago. but not just Turkey that have gone good but also the Greeks have improved. the greeks have good european teams. Turks and Greeks have improve a lot.

Yeah, the greek league has improved alot over the years, I am actually quite fond of Olimpiakos personally. Oh, By the way f... Fenerbahce is a really good team. They were the best in Turkey till 3 seasons ago. FB are just having a bad era. I'm not Turkish but I'm fond of the League here, Specially with FB. God bless us all, and Revivo =)

yeah that might be true about fenerbahce and revivo is a really good player, balic, kenith anderson, rapaijic, mirkovic and lazetic are good players but they have to play as a team and also they have to know each other, but i still think that gs is a better european side. you live in turkey and you watch the turkish games, tell these people that the league it self is not that bad. i mean i have a turkish friend and every weekend we watch gs, fenerbahce, and besiktas games. and they play quite a futbol in turkey. so i prefered gs in turkey. it is a very solid team.

how long have you been in turkey?

I've been reading some of the posts about all this 'Best League in the world' jizz. For a start, I'd say that the top leagues in Europe is The Premier league, the Spanish league, and the Italian Serie A. Nobody can come against that. All three leagues excell in different ways, Italy probably has the best looking league out there with the likes of Batistuta and all that, the premier league is like one of the oldest leagues in the world and its standards are very high (even though the English national team are having quite a dim era nowadays). The spanish league is perhaps the most challanging, with the likes of Madrid, Barcelona, Deportivo etc. So every league has its ups and downs. But I feel that I must add that I think the Turkish league is one of the FASTEST DEVELOPING leagues in the world, in a very short span of time, turkish teams have done many things, and the national team even managed to get to the Quarter Finals in Euro 2000, and that is extremely good for a team which has only attended such a serious tournament for the 2nd time only. So I wouldn't say the Turkish league tops the likes of the Premier etc, but given a few years, I guarantee that the Turkish league will reach a respectable status. Already stars such as Kennet Andersson, Jardel, Hagi, Tafferel etc. are part of this league, and nobody would have predicted that happening, as did nobody predict Fenerbahce beating Man Utd in old Trafford a few seasons back. Nobody at all predicted besiktas beating Barcelona 3 - 0 , nor did anyone give any chance of galatasaray winning the UEFA cup (odds were 99:1 of galatasaray winning the cup in the 4th round last year). So I just felt that I'd add something to this debate. I know I'll get loads of posts saying things like "no way man, The **** league can kick everyone's @$$" or "hey man **** FC (or so) can kick every team's @$$ on earth man. Just thought I'd add my twopence worth...
