Campbell is slow as a slug at the back.
Ashley Cole was the only defender that I saw in the German game that actually had some bite! England need a solid central defender.
Maybe change the formatiuon to 5 at the back.

england does have a good time ...... but not a GREAT team... germany needs to refresh their team with new players ... :eek: england defense sucks ... and it will break down with more creative team ..... ( like argentina,france,portugal) i honestly dont think that england will go far in the next world cup ... but lets see maybe they suprise me :)

you have to fair on him he was injured for nearly 6 months before this season

the problem is another CB witn Sol and a right back, coz Neville is crap

You want to play Gerarrd at the back and waste argubly England's best player by having him defend all the time. That's just stupid.

Campbell and Rio just haven't worked together enough yet for their centreback partnership to work to it's full potential. Buth give them a few more games together and they'll be one of the best defensive pairings in the game.

The main problem of England's defence is Gary Neville and that right side. But I can't see anyone good enough to replace him,certaintly not Danny Mills.

England definitely having problem in the defence. Rio Ferdinand is not as reliable as his transfer reflecting. Sol Campbell is very slow to react to the danger, and he's not understanding with Rio. Neville has recovered a bit after dropping by Ferguson. Cole is good, but not sure he can handle world class wingers, Zenden has taught him a lesson. We still need Keown's services and hoping Wes Brown can be the more suitable central defender (not sure).

**** off, Wes Brown no way. All Rio and Sol need is a few more games together and they'll be right. And Sol is only slow at the moment cos he's still just coming back from injury.
