I'm thinking about taking over the English NT and only select players from leagues beneath the Premiership.

quick question: does the game update, making the tactic less effective like in the old CM, any if so, around what time

I just thought of a similiar idea, maybe more interesting. How bout managing Brazil or Argentina and only selecting players from the respective leagues.

Well currently i manage barca and spain, and i only select players from La Liga, but i don't select Real Madrid players either , no Raul, Salgado, Casillas, Guti. (Y) My NT team is nice and clean. :)

England easily has the best national team on the game IMO. Only the right back position is weak.

Zlatan
05-09-2005, 05:42:PM
That's why I'm going to try it with non-premiership guys, but I think I'll start that when I get my new PC.

Hargreaves is quite shiitte IMO plus you have better options there like Ledley King or something.

Filipower
08-09-2005, 07:54:PM

They ALWAYS complains about some players that "are missing" from my squad selection.

EG: I do not call Aimar, the press hates me, for the next match I call the bitch, he'll not even go to bench, but now the press criticize me for not calling Verón, and I think they'll criticize me if I do not call my others AM C, D'Alessandro and Riquelme =/

But well, I got my correct praises for calling up guys like Sergio Agüero :crazyboy:

EDIT

By the way, this is my squad, I finished second on Qualyfiers and I'm preparing for the WC, next rival will be Israel on a friendly. (sorry for no screenshot, I'm not in my house)
Database: Correct Argentinian Apertura 04 (original DB of 5.0.0 with a good DB for Argentinian tourneys, not that sh¡tty DB we always have)
Note: In brackets, teams that changed divisions. And not

GK: Federico Vilar -Atlante-

DR: Javier Zanetti -Inter-
DC: Roberto Ayala -Valencia-
DC: Walter Samuel -Real Madrid-
DL: Juan Pablo Sorín -Cruzeiro-

MR: Mario Alberto Santana -Zaragoza-
DM C: Javier Mascherano -Everton (Championship)-
ML: Kily Gonzalez -Inter-
AM C: Andrés D'Alessandro -Deportivo-

F C: César Delgado -Inter-
S C: Luciano Figueroa -Villarreal-

Backups (I plan to have this ones on the WC list)

GK-1: Leo Franco -Atlético Madrid-
GK-2: Juan Marcelo Ojeda -Rosario Central- (youth, he's only here just to adapt)

DR: Paulo Ferrari -Napoli (Serie B)-
DC: Gabriel Heinze -Manchester United-
DC: Fabricio Coloccini -Milan-
DL: Diego Placente -Leverkusen-

MR: Lucas Castromán -Marseille-
DM C: Lucas Bernardi -Monaco-
ML: Jonas Gutiérrez -Vélez-
AM C: Juan Román Riquelme -Celta (Primera Division)-

F C: Javier Saviola -Barcelona-
S C: Rolando Zárate -Ajax-

And this, the guys I tested but didn't have better games than the above 23, though, if something happens, they'll be call

GK: Sebastián Saja -San Lorenzo-

DR:
DC:
DC: Daniel "Cata" Díaz -Morelia-
DL: Rodolfo Arruabarrena -Villarreal-

MR: Lionel Scaloni -Deportivo-
DM C:
ML:
AM C: Juan Sebastián Verón -Manchester City- / Federico Insua -Independiente-

F C: Sergio Agüero -Independiente-
S C: César Carignano -Basel-

Positions that has no players it's because I have no idea who to have as a backup, because there are many good, avergae or bad players

Notes:
Abbondanzieri -Sevilla- is retired from international football and Crespo -Tottenham- is out with a 8-month injury :(

I won the 2010 World Cup with England. Brazil were the favourites but I beat them 3-0 in the quarterfinals.Didn't have much trouble from there on. Here's my usual line-up:
Green

Carragher King Terry Ash.Cole

S.Wright-Philips/Jenas Gerrard Lampard Downing

Owen/Defoe Rooney

About my GK's, Vilar is doing a really awesome job, my regular used to be Franco, but when Vilar had the chance, he showed great appearences and was one of my best players on qualifiers, if not the best =)

And about Saja, he's not doing so well in his club, so, I think he does not deserve a place, though, he's my third option (Ojeda is call up because he's a hot prospect and I like young 3rd Keepers, cause they are the ones who will play NOTHING at a WC but need adaptation in the group for the next 4 years) and if something happens to Franco or Vilar, he'll be call up (if something happens to Ojeda, then, Barbosa should be call)

I never judge players from how they do at their teams. Its never a good indication
