we need more details

how are they not working??

most common solution is that you didn't have the game on a full install, therefre the patches have no effect as the game is still getting it's data files from the cd

do a reinstall, make sure you put everything nto the HD, then try re-installing the patches

chances are that all will be well :)

Are you talking about the EA patches or the ones I made?

I've got Fifa world cup 98, at first it worked then it said insert CD, no problem, I've done it by installing patch 1.30 but the problem is after that, a message apperead saying in a full sentence:-
displaywindow - DOES NOT WORK IN THIS DISPLAY MODE (isdisplaymodex()=1) FILE win\windows.c LINE 115.
including 2 buttons OK and Cancel, the problem is with my graphic card maybe, just to inform you that I've got (3Dfx Voodoo 3 adaptor)
SO what is the problem? and how do I fix it? and does it need to buy a new graphic card?

Try patch 1.40, it's the latest one... If it is Road To World Cup 98 you are talking about and not World Cup 98...
