View Full Version : Arsenal v FC Thun: Champions League [P/R]
Bobby 11-09-2005, 10:00:PM Cole on how ******* doomed Arsenal are: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/4235784.stm
Henry is out, Lehmann is suspended, Campbell is fat, Poom is questionable, Almunia sucks, Cole is a **** and Bergkamp is old as dirt.
Thun are pretty much fit.
Almunia; Lauren, Toure, Senderos, Cole; Ljungberg, Fabregas, Gilberto, v Persie; Bergkamp, Reyes - Prob team for Arsenal
2-0 Thun
Drvar 11-09-2005, 10:03:PM a draw seems the most probable...
Bobby 11-09-2005, 10:05:PM I'd probley have an orgasm if we even got a draw
Stotty 11-09-2005, 10:06:PM Thun 3 - 2 Arsenal
Hotdog stand runner (2) Pires (1)
Left touchline Ball boy (1) Toure pen. (1)
Johnny_Big 11-09-2005, 10:23:PM 1-1
Arsenal scores his goal at 90'
henry#14 11-09-2005, 10:56:PM Great job by Cole to further lower morale. It's obvious the team's f*cked, no need to yap in the papers :| 2-1 Arsenal if the defence can get their sh*t together and Cygan is left out of the stadium.
Eng4WorldCup 11-09-2005, 11:06:PM Arsenal 3-0 Thun
Reyes 2, Van Persie
Callum 12-09-2005, 12:43:AM 1-0 cygan og
Johnny_Big 12-09-2005, 01:45:AM 1-0 cygan og

Punkt 12-09-2005, 02:42:AM 5-0 Arsenal
Henry x 3 v.Persie , Bergkamp
Callum 12-09-2005, 03:10:AM 5-0 Arsenal
Henry x 3 v.Persie , Bergkamp
henry isnt playing
Socrates 12-09-2005, 03:57:AM 2-1 Thun
Becks is God 12-09-2005, 03:58:AM even if Arsenal put out an injury hit team, id still expect them to win. Im gonna go 3-1 to Arsenal, i wouldnt be surprised to see Mart Poom start either, probable team for me:
------------------Poom---------------
-Lauren----Toure------Cygan------Cole-
-Ljungberg---Gilberto---Fabregas---Pires
----------Bergkamp----Reyes----------
should beat Thun. no dissrespect. :ewan:
Paulo Da Silva 12-09-2005, 04:03:AM becks for god is right. that team is good enuff to beat Thun. Poom is a decent GK, 3 out of the 4 Defencemen are starters, 4 quality midfielders, and Reyes on a ttack. Bergkamp is better than anybody THUN got, plus arsenal got Hleb.
JFG_Lancer 12-09-2005, 04:09:AM Arsenal 3-0
Reyes 3x
enigma 12-09-2005, 06:45:AM Arsenal sucks.
SlowSilver 12-09-2005, 07:30:AM 1-0 cygan og
Somebody had to do it didn't they?
ivanchin99 12-09-2005, 09:23:AM Arsenal 5 - 0 Thun
Henry the 12th man x 4
Cygan x 1
TheBlueBalla 12-09-2005, 11:17:AM Somebody had to do it didn't they?
It usually doesnt take 3 hours to get that one though :)
If Arsenal stumbled, id do a little celebratory jig. That said, they wont, and thus, I wont.
2-0 to the gunners, and it doesnt matter who scores them as long as its not Van Pervert (its the celebrations :()
AberdeenFC 12-09-2005, 01:22:PM FC THUN
Cosmo 12-09-2005, 01:34:PM Arsenal wont loose. Thats for sure.
Bummy_JaB 12-09-2005, 02:17:PM Our team morale is so freakin low right now..... and it doesnt help that Henry is now injured for a month..... seems like this will be the WORST season for us.........
Bring in Owusu goddamit!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby 12-09-2005, 02:39:PM Arsenal sucks.
****ing doomed!
Joe Star 12-09-2005, 03:03:PM Arsenal are playing at home right? Good for them........lastime i heard Thun's stadium was still flooded :(
Bobby 12-09-2005, 03:04:PM Thun don't play european games in Thun anyway
Maichal1616 12-09-2005, 03:18:PM Hey, a question for you Arsenal supporters, would Poom be a starter over Almunia should he be fit? Is there actually a chance to see him in the Arsenal line-up before he returns to SAFC? Or was he just brought in to fill the backup for backup space there?
Just that he was one of the greatest once, but now he hasn't played a competitive match for 1,5 years or so. I'm hoping he can really handle the pressure should he get the chance. It would be a great occasion for us estonians as we've never had a player playing on such a high level.
Bobby 12-09-2005, 03:19:PM Yes, if he's fit, he's 2nd choice.
Manuel probley won't play unless Jens and Mart are out.
Maichal1616 12-09-2005, 03:21:PM Thanks, thats good to know.
SlowSilver 12-09-2005, 03:24:PM 1-0 Thun
Simmers 12-09-2005, 03:31:PM Even with the trouble Arsenal are facing at the moment they should have no problem dispatching Thun. The side is weakened through transfers and injuries, but there's still enough quality left to win easily on Wednesday.
2-0 Arsenal, Hleb, Reyes.
bkaj21 12-09-2005, 08:28:PM hopefully hleb will bag one
Hopeunited 12-09-2005, 10:12:PM 3-1 for Arse... even tho they suck plenty like Bobby vividly described (Y)
Reyes, van Persie, Hleb
Senderos own goal following the order of his Swiss compatriots. :chew:
Ebonix 12-09-2005, 11:09:PM If Cygan's playing 3-2 to Arsenal, if not 3-0 to Arsenal
3-2 Result
Reyes x 2
Bergkamp
Cygan OG x 2
(3-0 = same as above minus Cygan's OGs)
Johnny_Big 12-09-2005, 11:27:PM You guys really love Cygan. :jap:
mannyb28 12-09-2005, 11:43:PM thun is going to be thunnn-derouss (sorry, had to!)
nevertheless, 2-0 gunners :lui:
Bobby 13-09-2005, 12:16:AM Lupoli, Quincy, Song and Campbell all missed today's reserve match. I take that as them being in the matchday squad.
ogsimon 13-09-2005, 12:52:AM arsenal should breeze this group. 5 wins 1 draw. but arsenal will make it tough like usual, but not in this game. 5-0
Voltaic Borusse 13-09-2005, 01:01:AM 1-1 Reyes, some guy.
Lonestarr022 13-09-2005, 07:32:AM No Henry? well i hope he will be back for Everton on Monday of next week
they can rest few top guys here, maybe ALmunia will start, then again, i want an Arsenal win here, i think they will get a win here
Ebonix 13-09-2005, 05:04:PM No Henry? well i hope he will be back for Everton on Monday of next week
they can rest few top guys here, maybe ALmunia will start, then again, i want an Arsenal win here, i think they will get a win here
I've just read that Henry is out for 6 weeks
Adriano7 13-09-2005, 06:06:PM hopefully REYES will save u, i think he is welll good and underated
bjmenge 13-09-2005, 07:27:PM Seriously, what the **** kind of club name is FC Thun?

Stotty 14-09-2005, 08:07:PM Van Persie off :ewan:
Dreath 14-09-2005, 08:08:PM Attention all referees.
Please grow some bollocks. This is mans game. van Persie being sent off for a yellow card offense. Great.
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:10:PM Oh lovely.
Hendrik 14-09-2005, 08:14:PM Attention all referees.
Please grow some bollocks. This is mans game. van Persie being sent off for a yellow card offense. Great.
This is not rugby. It really looked serious from some angles.
Bummy_JaB 14-09-2005, 08:15:PM Crap...... things go from bad to worse for us....... STupid Ref..... that was a yellow card....yea he knocked him out with his studs but he was lookin directly at the ball....didnt even know that thun player was there........ If thats a straight red might as well go and ban bicyle and half bicyle kicks........ :kader: :kader:
Now we gotta try and beat thun with 10 men..... red card my ass it was an accident.....
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:17:PM Ljungberg scored, i don't think he fouled the keeper
Stotty 14-09-2005, 08:17:PM "45' Van Persie (Arsenal) is dismissed. The young Dutch player is shown a straight red for a high challenge on the full-back. It did not seem malicious, but his foot is high and catches Orman in the face."
Dirty **** (H)
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:19:PM he didn't even see that guy, he was watching the ball
Drvar 14-09-2005, 08:24:PM ah f*ck you arsenal, you gotta be sh*tting me, if you lose or tie tonight im seriusly going to kill someone. yea i got money on you bitches.
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:26:PM you bet money on arsenal? in the champions league?
do you have a drinking problem?
Johnny_Big 14-09-2005, 08:31:PM 1-0 for Arsenal. Gilberto Silva scored the opener.
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:31:PM 1-0 Arsenal.

Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:32:PM Oh Manuel....
Johnny_Big 14-09-2005, 08:33:PM LOLED!
1-1 for Thun. There can be an historical draw (or even win) here...
SlowSilver 14-09-2005, 08:34:PM :|
IceBlu 14-09-2005, 08:46:PM Thun (H)
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:47:PM Arsenal look dire.
Not Madrid bad yet, but atleast as bad as Forest Green.
SlowSilver 14-09-2005, 08:49:PM Not Madrid bad? You're playing Thun.....at home. :|
Bobby 14-09-2005, 08:50:PM And are doomed
SlowSilver 14-09-2005, 09:09:PM What a load of crap...
What an earth was the centre-back doing? But yeah, Arsenal are doomed in the CL.
Dreath 14-09-2005, 09:12:PM :taz: :dragan: :fluffy: :fluffy: :fluffy:

Johnny_Big 14-09-2005, 09:13:PM Is dat sum luck?

Bobby 14-09-2005, 09:13:PM Luck was against Arsenal the entire match if anything.
Voltaic Borusse 14-09-2005, 09:14:PM Gay.

Dreath 14-09-2005, 09:16:PM Luck was against Arsenal the entire match if anything.
Amen to that. Reyes was brilliant.
Perles 14-09-2005, 09:17:PM I want to bare dennis bergkamp's next child
paedo
I think you mean "bear"
Bobby 14-09-2005, 09:18:PM That boy from Thun should have seen red for that elbow, busted Gilberto clear open.
But it's been done, i'll take the 3 points and move on.
Bummy_JaB 14-09-2005, 09:18:PM THERES ONLY ONE DENNIS BERGKAMP, ONE DENNIS BERGGGGGKAAAAAAAAMPP THERES ONLY ONE DENNIS BERGKKKAAAAAAMPPPPP
Thun's goal was unstoppable, Gilberto for president
bkaj21 14-09-2005, 09:41:PM "45' Van Persie (Arsenal) is dismissed. The young Dutch player is shown a straight red for a high challenge on the full-back. It did not seem malicious, but his foot is high and catches Orman in the face."
Dirty **** (H)
sounds like a team i know.... oh yeah, united
Help? 14-09-2005, 09:52:PM Rooney at least got 2 yellows and also gave a nice clap to the dane. :ewan:
Bummy_JaB 14-09-2005, 10:11:PM I was impressed with Owusu's dribbling man....... dude is on the same crazy dribbling level of Lua Lua
Hopeunited 15-09-2005, 12:52:AM haha if it wasn't for the legend Dennis then Arse would've tied at home with a team that was playing amateur Swiss division 3 football in front of a crowd of 100 only nine years ago. :jambo:
enigma 15-09-2005, 02:26:AM haha if it wasn't for the legend Dennis then Arse would've tied at home with a team that was playing amateur Swiss division 3 football in front of a crowd of 100 only nine years ago. :jambo:
Blah blah blah blah. Thun are a team out to prove a point. Playing against Arsenal is probably every Thun player's dream. Don't you know that when lesser teams play the big teams, they usually pull something out of nowhere? Say, Wigan vs Chelsea?
SB9Dragon 15-09-2005, 02:28:AM Shame I couldn't see this game, I woulda loved to see how the Thun players played. Anywayz Arsenal did what they had to do, get a victory. Sure it wasn't a totally convincing scoreline, but they got the 3 points, especially without Henry. Congrats.
Callum 15-09-2005, 03:31:AM what a goal by that thun random, it looked like he meant it, but whatever it was a great goal. (6)
Vagegast 15-09-2005, 04:46:AM Van Persie has a run of bad luck that doesn't seem to end, I might actually start feeling bad for him.
Man, Thun won't be easy :(
Oh, Dennis ******* Bergkamp. Amazing.
Frostwolf 15-09-2005, 05:23:AM paedo
I think you mean "bear"
I think he knows that.
And people seem to forget that we had a goal disallowed wrongly and two clear penalties ungiven - we're not as bad as Madrid yet :ewan: go easy on us, will you?
Bobby 15-09-2005, 07:18:AM At the end of the day, we got what we wanted. 3 points. Doesn't matter how, it just matters that we did.
Think we showed good spirit being down to 10 men (wrongly) and didn't hang our heads after they pulled one back. Good goal by Dennis, great day by Gilberto.
Hopeunited 15-09-2005, 03:35:PM Blah blah blah blah. Thun are a team out to prove a point. Playing against Arsenal is probably every Thun player's dream. Don't you know that when lesser teams play the big teams, they usually pull something out of nowhere? Say, Wigan vs Chelsea?
Do you know that also, when lesser teams play the big teams, they usually get totally raped? Say, Andorra vs Holland?
Frostwolf 15-09-2005, 03:38:PM Do you know that also, when lesser teams play the big teams, they usually get totally raped? Say, Andorra vs Holland?
You quote a post which completely contradicts your new post. Well done, genius. (Y)
Andorra are in the qualifying stages by default, they're just plain ****e.
Dreath 15-09-2005, 04:13:PM Do you know that also, when lesser teams play the big teams, they usually get totally raped? Say, Andorra vs Holland?
Like Man Utd vs Exeter?
SlowSilver 15-09-2005, 04:54:PM You quote a post which completely contradicts your new post. Well done, genius. (Y)
Andorra are in the qualifying stages by default, they're just plain ****e.
Therefore making them a lesser team.
in the last minute there for arsenal..why didn't henry play?
TheBlueBalla 15-09-2005, 05:31:PM I would agree with the point that Thun probably got up to play the game, but the fact is, Arsenal have a history of struggling that cant be ignored in that circumstance. The only teams I can recall them hammering in Europe recently were Inter (after getting hammered themselves) and Rosenborg, after they were essentially out. But its like bobby says, a win is a win and the to the victor go the 3 points.
Thought v. Pussies recklessness merited a sending off, though. I dont think there was an ounce of malice in it, but at this level you have to know to keep studded feet down from that level.
in the last minute there for arsenal..why didn't henry play?
He's injured for like 6 weeks.
Bobby 15-09-2005, 06:46:PM Therefore making them a lesser team.
Like Tenerife?
10Ruud 15-09-2005, 06:55:PM Henry won't be playing for awhile....and as we all saw...Arsenal now has trouble scoring goals.
Frostwolf 16-09-2005, 01:07:AM Like Tenerife?
And Celta Vigo.
I was trying to say, Andorra haven't gone through ANYTHING to be facing Holland, while Thun have knocked out two strong European teams to get to where they are. You can't compare the two, they're in completely different worlds.
Eng4WorldCup 16-09-2005, 02:34:AM Henry won't be playing for awhile....and as we all saw...Arsenal now has trouble scoring goals.
thats tru, they su.cked it up without henry against liverpool last season, in the same week of the 2nd most important game for liverpool, beating them 3-1....
hmm
and for ur information guys, thun is a stronger side than exeter. to get to the group stages of the champions league is a very hard feat, no matter what country tou are from. exeter are a couple of divisions down...
Help? 16-09-2005, 03:08:AM Arsenal barely won, cause Alexander the Great didn't start :ewan:
proxnet 16-09-2005, 05:26:AM Henry won't be playing for awhile....and as we all saw...Arsenal now has trouble scoring goals.
u all had trouble scoring goals even with ROONEY,rvn, smith and saha... last season :kader:
SlowSilver 16-09-2005, 07:45:AM Like Tenerife?
I wasn't the one that said the lesser teams should always be raped.
Axolote 16-09-2005, 03:51:PM I wish him a fast & good recovery...
He deserve to be in the WC...he must be...
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/1472/554018947kn.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Bummy_JaB 16-09-2005, 04:06:PM WTF???? why did u post that pic in this topic????? makes no sense homepiss :ewan:
Paulo Da Silva 16-09-2005, 07:52:PM haha if it wasn't for the legend Dennis then Arse would've tied at home with a team that was playing amateur Swiss division 3 football in front of a crowd of 100 only nine years ago. :jambo:
dude the fact that in 9 years they managed to go from Amatuer 3 rd division football to playing in the group stages in the Champs league just shows how strong they actually are.
SB9Dragon 16-09-2005, 10:17:PM Sure would be something for them to win the CL. Imagine joining the club at a young age with them being an amateur, and then going on to win the CL. Damn, now that's a story book finish. Ain't gonna happen though.
