Cole on how ******* doomed Arsenal are: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/4235784.stm

Henry is out, Lehmann is suspended, Campbell is fat, Poom is questionable, Almunia sucks, Cole is a **** and Bergkamp is old as dirt.

Thun are pretty much fit.

Almunia; Lauren, Toure, Senderos, Cole; Ljungberg, Fabregas, Gilberto, v Persie; Bergkamp, Reyes - Prob team for Arsenal

2-0 Thun

Great job by Cole to further lower morale. It's obvious the team's f*cked, no need to yap in the papers :| 2-1 Arsenal if the defence can get their sh*t together and Cygan is left out of the stadium.

even if Arsenal put out an injury hit team, id still expect them to win. Im gonna go 3-1 to Arsenal, i wouldnt be surprised to see Mart Poom start either, probable team for me:

------------------Poom---------------
-Lauren----Toure------Cygan------Cole-

-Ljungberg---Gilberto---Fabregas---Pires

----------Bergkamp----Reyes----------

should beat Thun. no dissrespect. :ewan:

Paulo Da Silva
12-09-2005, 04:03:AM
becks for god is right. that team is good enuff to beat Thun. Poom is a decent GK, 3 out of the 4 Defencemen are starters, 4 quality midfielders, and Reyes on a ttack. Bergkamp is better than anybody THUN got, plus arsenal got Hleb.

If Arsenal stumbled, id do a little celebratory jig. That said, they wont, and thus, I wont.

2-0 to the gunners, and it doesnt matter who scores them as long as its not Van Pervert (its the celebrations :()

Hey, a question for you Arsenal supporters, would Poom be a starter over Almunia should he be fit? Is there actually a chance to see him in the Arsenal line-up before he returns to SAFC? Or was he just brought in to fill the backup for backup space there?

Just that he was one of the greatest once, but now he hasn't played a competitive match for 1,5 years or so. I'm hoping he can really handle the pressure should he get the chance. It would be a great occasion for us estonians as we've never had a player playing on such a high level.

Bobby
12-09-2005, 03:19:PM
Yes, if he's fit, he's 2nd choice.

Even with the trouble Arsenal are facing at the moment they should have no problem dispatching Thun. The side is weakened through transfers and injuries, but there's still enough quality left to win easily on Wednesday.

2-0 Arsenal, Hleb, Reyes.

At the end of the day, we got what we wanted. 3 points. Doesn't matter how, it just matters that we did.

TheBlueBalla
15-09-2005, 05:31:PM
I would agree with the point that Thun probably got up to play the game, but the fact is, Arsenal have a history of struggling that cant be ignored in that circumstance. The only teams I can recall them hammering in Europe recently were Inter (after getting hammered themselves) and Rosenborg, after they were essentially out. But its like bobby says, a win is a win and the to the victor go the 3 points.

Thought v. Pussies recklessness merited a sending off, though. I dont think there was an ounce of malice in it, but at this level you have to know to keep studded feet down from that level.
