Both from Holland
Both abandoned by managers
Not long ago, when both of them played in the Charity Shield. Westerveld became the man of the match. He stopped United from scoring.
Why he is forced out by Houllier now?
Is this a reason of football?
I wonder.

well you couldn't say that Westerveld has been faultless since being a liverpodlian, and this supposing to be Liverpool's year, They can't afford their keeeper to throw games away as he did v Bolton
I think he also brought in 2 other keepers to put a bitta pressure on him to improve

i think houllier has given him a fair amount of time to prove himself and the bolton match is the last chance.. you can't expect a top professional goalkeeper to make such a mistake..
Taibi was the worst buy ever! He played i think 2 matches, making hilarious mistakes and never played for them again and then got sold on.....

So, that's football, one mistake (especially GK)led you got no chance to play for the team again......Remember Massimo Taibi? :p

well, for westerveld case i don't think one mistake, he has been given far more time to improve and he is just not consistent enough to convince houllier that he is the keeper for liverpool.
whereas taibi i must agreed that he is the worst buy ever for english football at least
:D :p
